I am imagining!!! A wizard of oz retelling of sorts!! Still very silly and goofy and Fun with all the Heart but with diffrent interpretations of the main quartet!!!

The Scarecrow is still Learning all their is to be a Person and wants very much to learn all their is in the world!! He wants a good grade in brains!!!! Hes very serious and still figuring himself out... their very goofy and clumsy still and even a bit helpless but!!! They want to stand up for themself!!

Everntually they will accept they can't learn everything their is to know in the world... but they will still try their best!!!

I imagine after he becomes king, and before he burns out... they will learn magic to try and become the new wizard... and maybe even teach dorothy a trick or two next time she blows into town!!!

The Tin Man has rebuilt himself and put down his axe in trade for some sturdy Tin Fists so that he can fight for those he loves!!! Unfoutunatly he's in a bit of a slump and down in the dumps over not having any real control in his life. Also rusting in a forest for a few years will Not Help your self esteem!!! But he learns!! He learns and grows and discovers he does not need to experiance the world the same way in order to care!! And have great compassion for all things in this silly little world!!

I'm hoping(I hope!!!) To make a sheet for dorothy and lion next...

If anyone had name suggestions for scarecrow too, please let me know! I'm trying to decide if they would want to choose a name for themself since they were never given a chance in the books... just scarecrow(yknow and maybe their happy with that!!! Who knows)

Friends of Dorothy

I'm still working on THE SCRIPT, but here's something I can share! I refined my character designs for the Friends of Dorothy. Pray that I do not refine them further.

Obviously, they're all gay except Toto who is ace.

Cowardly Lion and Toto will make appearances in Yellow Brick Ramble, but since it's based on the second book, it's mostly in flashbacks and photographs.

Scarecrow is much taller than the clothes he's made of because the Munchkinlander farmer who made him figured a tall scarecrow would scare away more crows by volume. This might not be immediately obvious, but his face is painted on.

I tried to make the Tin Woodman kinder-looking than previous designs I had for him. He's short because most people in Oz are short. It's a bit hard to avoid making a man made out of tin look like a robot, but I think the lumberjack beard helps avoid that trope. His forearms are tin cans.

Cowardly Lion is still a coward because he used up all his courage to wear eye make-up. And obviously, he's bright yellow because of his nature. I imagine his family is originally from Winkieland, but he was born in Munchikinland. His bow is red because the forest he rules is in Quadlingland.

Toto is now a Boston terrier like he was in Neill's illustrations in Road to Oz. I love how he looks like such a silly little guy in that book Otherwise, my reasoning is that Dorothy needs a Boston terrier on hand so she can be in a Boston marriage with Ozma.

I saw this movie almost two years ago, but this exchange is still taking me the fuck out.

Oz fans, if you haven't seen After The Wizard... That's fine. It's really not that good, and has some questionable messaging? Maybe I'm just missing some context. Regardless, the best parts are the Tincrow road trip scenes, if you do decide to watch it for whatever reason. Lion fans will not be eating particularly well, though, unfortunately.

Random headcannon:

Alright so- the books state that tinman (Nick Chopper) lost his arm, then leg, then was split in 2 right?

And each time he lost a limb he got a tin prosthetic. Up untill he had to be remade of tin entirely anyways.

So-

Amputation is a thing that happens in oz,

I belive that the only reson his prosthetic limbs were made if tin was due to resources & he was probably afraid he'd accidentally chop his arm & leg again if they were wood.

And-

Once he became emperor of the winkies- if any of them needed prosthetics, they'd get them made in tin in honor of him.
