Okrogla miza: Duševno zdravje biseksualnih oseb  16. 9. 2019 ob 18:00 v Pritličju

Biseksualnih oseb se v naši družbi vztrajno drži predstava, da smo nekje vmes - na pol hetero in na pol homo, vohunke, ki se lahko po želji gibamo kjerkoli, hodimo s komerkoli in se spretno izognemo diskriminaciji. Vendar pa je bila letos izvedena prva raziskava biseksualnega duševnega zdravja v Sloveniji, ki je potrdila ugotovitve iz tujine: biseksualne osebe se spopadamo z depresijo, anksioznostjo, samopoškodovanjem, mislimi na samomor in drugimi motnjami v duševnem zdravju bistveno pogosteje kot homo- in heteroseksualne populacije. Veliko bolj verjetno se torej zdi, da ne drži, da se biseksualne osebe lahko enostavno izognemo diskriminaciji in da smo dobrodošle povsod, ampak da prav nasptorno nikamor ne spadamo popolnoma in da nas to sili v stiske in skrivanje. Avtor raziskave Andrej Poglajen bo na okrogli mizi predstavil njene izsledke, potem pa bomo s socialno delavko Matejo Vilfan in raziskovalko Nino Perger poskušal⋮e najti odgovore na vprašanja, zakaj smo biseksual⋮ke tako ranljiva populacija, s katerimi edinstvenimi faktorji tveganja se spopadamo in kje lahko iščemo rešitve. Pogovor bo vodila Ada Černoša. ANDREJ POGLAJEN socialni delavec, ki je svoj študij zaključil z magistrskim delom "Duševno zdravje biseksualnih oseb", že na dodiplomski stopnji pa je z diplomskim delom raziskoval vpliv razkritja nenormativne spolne usmerjenosti in/ali spolne identitete na samospoštovanje in samopodobo mladih. Kot biseksualni aktivist je bil več let aktiven kot prostovoljec na MC Legebitra predvsem na programu osebnega svetovanja, kjer je med drugim vodil podporno skupino za LGBT+ mlade. NINA PERGER je sociologinja, socialna pedagoginja in aktivitska, ki se je z raziskovanjem biseksualne populacije ukvarjala v svoji doktorski raziskavi "Vsakdanje življenje oseb z nebinarnimi spolnimi in seksualnimi identitetami". Dela kot mlada raziskovalka na Fakulteti za družbene vede v okviru Centra za socialno psihologijo, poleg tega pa je članica upravnega odbora Društva Parada ponosa. MATEJA VILFAN je socialna delavka, edukantka geštalt izkustvene družinske terapije in strokovna vodja programa Svetovanje in samopomoč na DIC Legebitra. V LGBT skupnosti dela na področju duševnega zdravja in ima 11 let izkušenj na področju svetovalnega dela z mladimi, ki se samopoškodujejo, ter izvajanjem strokovnih seminarjev na temo samopoškodovanja, samomorilnosti in tveganih vedenj mladih. 🌈 Dogodek poteka v sklopu tedna biseksualnosti 2019.
