Three facts game!!! I'm weirdly giddy to see what happens:

- I am so uncoordinated that the two times I've attempted rollerskating I broke my wrist on the same exact bone near the same spot. I also trip and roll/sprain/twinge my ankles regularly.

- I am both overly sensitive and emotionally numb. I don't know how it works but I'm here for the Rollercoaster. But when I do get in touch with my emotional state it's always 0 to 100. So when I feel I feel 100%.

- I basically grew up on a farm!!! My grandparents' property was connected to ours via a pasture. We've had horses, a goat, so many chickens, a cow, a full garden. They even had orange and grapefruit trees.

FINALLY GETTING TO THE REST OF THESE- first of all. hiiii hi i love u. mwah <3

so i originally wanted to grab a character that i think you didn't know about beforehand, but then i realized that that's kind of a monumental task because you know me so well and have for so long. i mean. we're engaged. BUT.... i think i might have something for ya'. digging WAYYYY back in the archives for a character i honestly do not have any art saved for.

so i made her in a picrew. but anyway: an oc i made wayyyy back in middle school. fiona matthews! (picrew link: [link])

fiona was my first foray into a character archetype i'm not particularly fond of anymore, but i do still have some nostalgia for her. i was originally gonna go into that a bit more, but i'll just sum her up a bit: fiona in her original incarnation was a crime lord who took over the drug ring run by her ex-husband following his mysterious death. she rules it with a cruel smile and an unflinching sort of authority. however, rather than ruling through fear, she commands respect from her underlings by treating them with respect in turn.

as long as they stay loyal to her, she'll do anything for them.

ANYWAY. why am i kin assigning you fiona? i imagine that, though she's often very suave and confident and graceful, she's also clumsy as fuck. she's good at playing it off, but she's tripped and injured herself many times. that's not a particularly good image for a crime lord, though, in her opinion, so she's good at hiding it.

she also grew up in a pretty rural area!!! not on a farm, exactly, but a far cry from the city she lives in as an adult. it's not something she exactly advertises about herself, but it's a big part of her upbringing all the same.

and finally.... i think she'd relate to what you say about feeling numb vs feeling everything 100%. fiona has repressed many of her emotions over the years, but when they do break through, she feels them very intensely.

i finished it, was kicked out of the game, and then spent the next 10 minutes drawing this. i will now go take a shower, most likely cry, and then go through the emotional turmoil of convincing myself to reset so i can do a geno run. i hate it here :D

AND THEN WHEN SHE TOOK THAT RISK THE WORST THING HAPPENED AND SHE NOW HAS TO #LIVE WITH THE GUILT OF BEING THE ONE TO. MOST LIKELY. KILL HER ONE AND ONLY DAUGHTER #ALL THE WHILE SHE WAS PUSHING AWAY HER CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND AND CONVINCING HERSELF THAT SHE WAS IN THE RIGHT TO SACRIFICE CLOVER WHO HAD #BEEN ONLY KIND MERCIFUL AND JUST THIS WHOLE TIME. EVEN TO THOSE WHO WERE TRYING TO KILL THEM. FUCK.#AAND WHEN CLOVER HUGGED HER I DOUBLED OVER IRL BC *THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED TO DO IN THAT MOMENT* I HATE IT (read: love it) HERE #n dont even get me STARTED on after that. when clover started moving on their own and the gd white screen came up and we got flashbacks of #everyone's words. thats when the tears rlly started coming bc it clicked for me. 'oh. this is it. isn't it?' and IT WAS #WHEN THEY GAVE THEIR FUCKIGN HAT AND GUN AWAY TO MARTLET AND STARLO WELL THATS WHEN I REALLY STARTED CRYING #AAND THE GROUP HUGG #I WAS SOBBING WHENEVER I HAD TO WATCH THEM CRAWL UP AGAINST THE WALL AND DIE AND HAVE FLOWEYS WORDS PLAY OVERHEAD #AND THE FUCKOGN #THE F U C K I N G #AFTEWRCREDITS SCENE WHERE WE GOT THE 'You heard someone calling for help. You answered.' I GOT CHILLS SO BAD #to think that all the other souls have stories just as expansive and emotional as clover n frisks. how fucked up is that. in a good way tho #and finally the last scene where we got all 4 of our main friends sending us off in waterfall and we see clovers items end up in the dump #just waiting to be found by bratty and catty. fucken hell man this was a masterpiece #anyways time to reset and obliterate everyone and never emotionally recover from that ever!! really is feeling like 2016-17 again w the way #this game has me sobbing my eyes out and feeling the guilt of knowing that i dont HAVE to kill them all but im too curious not to #oh well. at least i have the balls to do it this time around instead of letting a youtuber do it for me ig

I am A SUCKER for found family. they fed me so well.#funny thing was the barok character development surprised me despite the fact that I also expected it since the first game lolol.#I do think he's an interesting character and probably one of the best character development in the game. And that I find his design cool.#oh yeah I didn't draw it but when I saw that albert mentioned that barok is “the darling of the van zieks family” I was genuinely like.#huh? wdym. like man at the time “van zieks” and “little darling” feels wrong in the same sentence. that was until I saw his pre-#-trauma pictures n well. albert isn't wrong. which was a slight surprise to me.#In conclusion: I liked it a lot. and now occupies parts of my brain along with my other brainrots.#They fight for priority in my brain whenever I try to sleep or disassociate lol. the tf2 fandom on tumblr is in such dire straits, it wraps around from being annoying to being funny

no one knows anything about the time period it's set in. no one knows anything about the time period it was written in. no one knows the media genre it's parodying. no one knows how to write mostly-middleaged, mostly-white men who are intentionally and comedically a product of their time and individual cultures. no one seems to even realize each character is hugely informed by (the stereotyped version of) their culture. no one is comfortable engaging with the old war propaganda it's satirizing. no one knows anything about guns. some people actually think the sniper is 26

it's hard to watch, but then again the official comics post-2015 fall into every single one of these pitfalls too so like. maybe a lack of media literacy isn't just a fandom problem
