vista had chemotherapy this morning, which i would not have been able to even consider doing a month ago. not hoping for a miracle, just a little longer with my girl. i cannot thank everyone who chipped in to help us or commented or sent loving messages enough. i was overwhelmed by your generosity, by the force of love from so many folks who’ve never even been in the room with her or smelled her stinky breath. and it was wonderful not to feel quite so helpless in the face of it all.

vista was less impressed that her first solo outing since we saddled her with a terrible little sister was to the vet, but it’s located next to a little dog bakery so she did get a very special treat afterwards.
