Sirius is the first to break it, thankfully. “I’m sorry.” He repeats, like there’s nothing else to say. Maybe there isn’t. It makes no difference- Remus wants to tear the words from his throat anyway.

“Not enough.”

“I’ll eat.”

Remus scoffs, turning on his heels. “I hope you choke.”

gun in my lips — E | 20k+ words | jegulily | this is a ‘the secret history’ au, although you do not need to be familiar with tsh to read and enjoy it. major dark academia vibes, angsty and dramatic and overall beautiful

into the stars — M | 3.9k words | jegulus | this is a beautiful fluffy oneshot set in the itd universe, but you don’t need to have read itd to understand and enjoy it. pure valentine’s day fluff and i love it

Things that are not covered in the absolutely USELESS parenting books that Sirius Black, recently freed from Azkaban and new guardian of Harry James Potter, bought in a recent panic:

- How to balance parenting and wooing the hot Dark Magic Exterminator from Lupin & Co that you hired to clear out your parents’ creepy townhouse

- How to convince your five-year-old that the basilisk, boggart and ghoul you planted in the house so said hot exterminator would have to keep coming back are not, in fact, his new best friends

- How to walk your child’s pet basilisk (when you inevitably fail).

Today fic by OptimisticDinosaur is absolutely just vibes and happy thoughts! It's a very fluffy one-shot fic with a tiny sequel and it's so lovely.

"Regulus looks up, furrowing his brow. James is humming, cross legged and bent over the trophy in his lap. His dark brown curls, wild as ever, brush over his eyes gently. He’s focused intently on his task. Regulus' chest feels tense, as if something is rapidly outgrowing his ribcage. His breath catches in his throat, fingers tightening on the book resting against his knees. He tries to shove it down, but then James traps his tongue between his teeth, scrubbing at a particular spot on the shining silver. His lips are pink and slightly wet, white teeth digging in just a little. Regulus can’t take his eyes off his mouth. What would James do? What would he think? If Regulus put down his book, walked over, knelt in front of him, grabbed his chin and-

James looks up, eye’s instantly meeting his. “What?”

Regulus takes a sharp breath. “Nothing.” He looks back at the page. “You missed a spot.”

The night he would have tried to run away form home, Walburga curses Sirius into a frog and throws him out of the window in a fit. Regulus saves him from death by family owl and takes him on a road trip to find his true love's kiss and lift the curse.

Why yes, this is a wolfstar retelling of The Frog Prince! I have been in kind of a silly mood lately so we'll probably get some more lighthearted fic recs for the next few weeks. This one is definitely a favourite though, I love it!

GUYS I NEED HELP AGAIN SOS SOS

so i read a fic and i can't find it for the life of me but essentially regulus barty and evan end up living with the potters and running away and the way it happened was regulus talking to effie (i think after a uidditch game??) and asking if she had any spare rooms available and she was like "ofc we do!! yo we have like 12" (or he heard the 12 from someone else idk but the 12 was THERE) and he was like "how about three?" and she was a little confused like yeah sure but why do y want three and he was like well i was hoping my friends could tag along if that's alright and she was like ofc ofc!!!

so regulus tells barty and evan and they're like holy shit we're really doing this and then the three of them go with the potters and sirius that break or summer or whatever it was and they show up in the front lawn and they're like holy shit this place is NICEEEEE (girrllllll)

BUT the potters house is MAGIC. like think encanto it listens to them and it gets james when they're ready for a tour and there's beginner curse breaker objects in evan's room for him to practice on and there's some potions stuff in regulus'.

and there was also another part in the story where fleamont catches regulus and james making out in james' room and regulus is mortified and james is like babe it's literally fine they're not gonna care. and like there's another part where like james is a virgin and shit and i think everyone was asking them when they were gonna fuck and like it just hadn't happened yet BUT THEN IT DOES HAPPEN A COUPLE CHAPTER LATER and it's like this whole thing where james tries to take it nice and sweet and slow and regulus is like girl what u doin and tries goin fast like "THIS is sex james" and james is like babe can we just try it my way this time? CAUSE it LIKE ITS HIS FIRST TIME RIGHT and regulus is like oh shit i've fucked up im so sorry and james is like no literally it's fine just trust me on this and it's nice and sweet and shit and regulus is like oh i didn't know it could be like this and james is all sweet and shit.

then they go downstairs and everyone IMMEDIATELY knows they fucked.

and like there's more and i'm pretty sure it was completed and on ao3 but i can't remember ANYTHING else

If you ever feel like absolutely sobbing your eyes out and reevaluating life I HAVE to recommend the fic “My Only Sunshine” by Loua29xx on ao3!! literally heartbreaking. I tend to love rereading fics but this one I can physically only stand to reread it maybe once a year! it has me curled into a ball on my floor every single time I do and has me thinking about it for days after. Highly recommend! (It’s not even canon-compliant- it’s an AU, that’s the kicker!!)
