NRC will always be co-ed in all my headcanons, scenarios, and AUs. However that doesnt mean that it’s magically dominated by girls, I still see it as majority male, with some female students. Maybe 70/30?

And despite this, the dorms still all have a relatively even spread of female students.

Oh like the sky high au. Now time for some questions.

What about Rook, Kalim, and Silver? They are light magic users and have some heroic traits (I have some questions about Rook being one if you know what I mean). Would they attend the same school or different school?

It would be hilarious that all the first years transferred to hero course once they receive their UM with only Ace, Grimm, and Yuu being left behind. Ace being more pissed off that Deuce got out first. Also I wonder how the idiot squad being friends?

I think in the case of those three, while they have typically "good" Powers, they come from Villain families and thus by default their parents enrolled them into NRC. Rook is more Ethan happy to be an underlying to Vil, Kalim doesn't think much of it either, but everyone thinks he's too chipper and good natured to be a villain. Lilia still adopted Silver and Lilia I think teaches the school as well instead of being a student. And this because Lilia worked as a villain and works there, Silver for enrolled. And Silver loves his dad and his adopted family. But like Kalim, everyone thinks Silver is good. Would be voted "most likely to become a hero after graduation."

And yeah, like Will who got transferred once he got his powers, as everyone gets their powers they get put into the villain courses until eventually it's just Ace,Yuu, and Grim. Ace is waiting for the day his powers finally manifest. His brother developed his late too and so did their dad, so he knows it will come eventually, but he's still impatient. However, once Yuu mentions they'll miss him in homeroom when that day comes, Ace figures he can afford to wait.

Also unrelated, but since I'm this au Nrc and RSA are villains schools, I had thought that in this au they would be co-ed like most highschools so other characters can be there. Like Najma can be a freshman with all the other first years,for example. Just because.

Am I liminal when I say that I created a Twst AU where NRC and RSA are Co-Ed? Cause I'm a woman and I relate so much to the boys but it feels awkward to imagine myself as a girl MC in an All boys school so I created an AU where NRC and RSA are Co-Ed. I also created female students who are just as relatable as the boys. Twst has been my life saver since pandemic so I live to this game. And Yes I'm the same anon who posted of getting over at Twst being Otome game.

I don't think you read my post properly, if at all. 😔

Again, the definition of liminal, as stated by Merriam Webster, is "of, relating to, or being an intermediate state, phase, or condition", meaning in simpler words, the state of being in the middle (even then, it's the second definition, but let's skim over that). Just because you created something doesn't automatically make you a liminal person. 😔 If anything, it's more accurate to say a liminal person is someone who doesn't feel that they belong anywhere (and in some cases, they really don't belong to somewhere).

Jan. 15 - Jan. 21

Focusing on Twisted Wonderland Ocs that I've been trying to complete. I'm hoping to have all the Unique Magic spells done and finish getting their profiles together by the end of January!

So for this Collection post, I'm going to drop some lore for my twisted wonderland AU!

The Twisted Compendium: A series of stories following the 3 year gap in Night Raven College's prestigious history.

Summary: After a devastating incident on the grounds of Night Raven College, the school was scheduled to reopen it's doors once again with added curriculum and a tertiary education path in hopes restoring itself to its former glory. The Headmage is approached by a young female mage with a proposal to bolster NRC's image by going co-ed.

My goal for this Compendium is to follow my ocs stories with the NRC students in a future where all main cast return to Night Raven after the incident that almost destroyed NRC entirely. In reference to the "incident", it takes place after book 6 and before book 7 (mostly because I am not caught up on book 7 and I'm waiting for more lore to come about from that)

Since this takes place 3 years from the game, all characters are obviously older, and as such this will be a more mature, darker dive into the world.

I have a total of 21 ocs (so far) for this story. And at this very moment, I'm most obsessed with Luna and Azul and their story. I don't know what order I'm going to do the "books" or maybe I'll do multiple at once. Who knows! It's difficult to say since there is a lot of crossover in the universe.

I've given myself to the end of January to finish getting together the profiles and ocs.

For February, I'm planning to start a "weekly focus" where I focus on a single fandom for the week and work on fics and ocs from that specific fandom. First week of February is going to be Tokyo Revengers!

Verses I shall be adding for convenience when I am able to be awake for a whole day:

Co-ed NRC: in my main verse, normally it’s co-ed because a lot of my friends have TWST verses but that’s only if people wish for it to be, otherwise, it’ll be an all boys school like in canon.

Outside of NRC verse: Basically the same as canon but not confined within Night Raven ! Most of my interactions will likely take place there with any non TWST followers.

Magicless Modern AU: No magic, just dumbasses who need a therapist and will not be getting one.

This one is because of @saymecw who decided to torture my girl but it’s Yuu being kidnapped via a mirror by Scaramouche and him trying to ‘shape’ her into something more. i.e an underling. Nobody in NRC knows what happened.

...You know how overblots are ‘usually fatal’ in game? Yeah. :).

IK IK, it's a little absurd if you think about it, but since it's a spinoff AU, it's never gonna be related to the original source since it takes place in a rather different setting but still retains the plot point of the story. I've always adored the female characters from Black Butler so making female students similar to them but Disney based characters will add to more sides of a school set story.

That could be interesting! I know main game ain't having much in the way of female characters right now due to the type of game/target market it's aiming for, but it could work for a spin-off just fine. Would be great to see what kinda female characters Yana could write in a setting like Twst alright, and I honestly still think that, we will see NRC and RSA collaborating (albeit forced by dire circumstances, likely) at some point, so that bit might not be as absurd as one would think in hindsight.

Briar Valley / Fairy headcanons

The soil in briar valley is awful. In ancient times, there were only struggling humans there, until magic eventually mutated them into fairies. 

Briar valley uses technomancy over technology. Fae rarely know how to use things like the internet, etc (basically canon). 

Fae, fairy and faerie all mean the same thing, but fairy is more often used to describe small fairies (like tinker bell), while “fae” refers to the race as a whole. 

Types of fae: 

Nocturne fae, also called dark fae: These are the main characters we see in Twisted Wonderland. Nocturne fae are fae with stereotypically “creepy/dark” traits and are aesthetically based on the forest at night. They have two forms: humanoid (with sharp teeth, pointed ears, and slit pupils) and an animal form. The animal form can be dragon, bat, black cat, deer, boar, raven, spider, crocodile, raccoon, owl, or snake. Dragon fae are often associated with the royal family, but it doesn’t make them royalty. 

They have a tapetum lucidum. 

Cultural stereotypes within nocturne fae: 

Dragons: Seen as cold, off-putting, to be feared.

Raccoon, raven, bat: Seen as tricksters with an untrustworthy reputation. 

Deer, owl, black cat, boar: Seen as eccentric with prophetic magic. Often healers/seers. 

Crocodile, snake, spider: Seen as self-reliant and ruthless. 

Maleficent was a dragon nocturne fae, and the lore about her being descended from the “phoenix” refers to a mythical large fire dragon. 

Half fairies do not have animal forms. If they are half human, they will have round ears

They can live thousands of years, but their magic will be weaker or stronger depending on how close to Briar Valley they are, which is why most just stay there (Lilia is a rarity)

Faeland fairies (sometimes just called fairies) (most of this is already canon)

They are essentially the tinker bell universe. The faeland is a brighter part of Briar Valley that represents the daytime forest and the natural elements. They speak a different language than the nocturne fae and sound like tiny bells. Each fairy has a job: 

Fire fairies

Craft fairies

Water fairies

Wood fairies

The Faeland holds a “fairy gala” to celebrate spring. The queen of the Faeland is different than the queen of Briar Valley. 

Dwarves

Not much is known about them so far. Their physical appearance is that of a human child. They have pointed ears just like the nocturne fae. 

I imagine they live separately from both the Nocturne fae and the Faeland. 

Can live for about a hundred years. Will age very rapidly at around 110 and no longer look like a child. 

Their society is small compared to the whole of briar valley.
