After he left the White House, former President Donald Trump allegedly shared sensitive information about U.S. nuclear submarines with an Australian billionaire who is a member of his Mar-a-Lago club, according to a pair of reports published on Thursday.
Trump shared the information with Anthony Pratt during an April 2021 conversation at the Palm Beach, Fla., golf club, according to ABC News, which first reported the development, citing sources familiar with the matter. The New York Times also confirmed the former president shared the information with Pratt, citing two people familiar with the matter.
The revelation was reported to special counsel Jack Smith's office, which charged Trump this year with mishandling classified documents, and prosecutors and FBI agents have twice interviewed Pratt this year about the discussion, ABC News reported.
Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, said in response to questions about the report, “These illegal leaks are coming from sources which totally lack proper context and relevant information. The Department of Justice should investigate the criminal leaking, instead of perpetrating their baseless witch-hunts while knowing that President Trump did nothing wrong, has always insisted on truth and transparency, and acted in a proper manner, according to the law.”
NBC News has also reached out to Pratt’s company for comment.
Pratt recounted that he told Trump during their conversation that Australia should buy submarines from the U.S., and an excited Trump "leaning" toward Pratt as if to be discreet, told him two pieces of information about American submarines, ABC reported, citing the anonymous sources. Trump shared the number of warheads that U.S. submarines typically carry and how close they can get to Russian submarines without being detected, according to both ABC News and The New York Times.
Trump didn't show any government documents to him during the meeting or any other time at Mar-a-Lago, sources told ABC News.
Pratt, executive global chairman of cardboard company Pratt Industries, then shared Trump's remarks with at least 45 other people through emails and conversations, reported ABC News, including journalists, Australian officials, three former Australian prime ministers and employees at his company.
According to the Times, Pratt is among more than 80 people whom prosecutors from Smith's office have identified as potential witnesses who could testify at Trump's trial that's slated to begin in May in Fort Pierce, Fla.
The special counsel's office declined to comment on the reports.
Just so we're all clear:
You can be jailed for taking photos inside a submarine but this motherfucker tells some rando billionaire about it's armament and capabilities and gets to lounge at his golf resort...
A tale of two Justice systems, indeed.

Since Jimmy Carter's background was as a peanut farmer would you say he had the most humble or least impressive background of all presidents?
Jimmy Carter graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and was a nuclear engineer who was selected by Admiral Hyman Rickover to eventually serve on some of the first nuclear submarines in the United States Navy. Carter's father died before the future President could begin serving on the nuclear submarine fleet, so Carter felt obligated to return to Georgia to take over the family's peanut farm. Carter's decision to return home to Plains in order to run the family business was made very, very reluctantly, and he has said that it caused the most significant tension he and his wife Rosalynn ever faced in their marriage. Had Carter remained in the Navy, he very likely would have become a high-ranking naval officer and probably would have ended up commanding one of the nuclear submarines. If Carter had only been a peanut farmer, he certainly would have had one of the most humble backgrounds of the Presidents, but graduating from Annapolis and training in nuclear engineering gave him a pretty remarkable resume prior to running for office.

“I didn’t know what an extraordinarily complicated, pugnacious and brilliant guy he was, and how much his career was marked by one controversy, one battle, after another,” Wortman told The Times of Israel. “That really was the compelling story to tell.”
Part of the Jewish Lives series from Yale University Press, the book centers on a son of the shtetl who returned to Poland decades later, during a Cold War visit to the Soviet Union with then-vice president Richard Nixon. Later, Rickover became a White House confidant of president Jimmy Carter, who had served in the admiral’s nuclear navy. Carter said that no other man except for his father had such an influence in his life.
Known as the father of the nuclear Navy, Rickover built his influence through groundbreaking achievements related to nuclear power, including the debut of the Nautilus in 1954.
“He had the force of personality to get it done,” Wortman said, calling the Nautilus “an unbelievable achievement, an achievement that president Jimmy Carter said made him the greatest engineer ever to live.”
Rickover’s decorated career began during the administration of Woodrow Wilson and lasted into the Reagan years, from World War I to the Cold War, making him the longest-serving active-duty officer in American military history.

They no longer do WHAT at sea?
As in, they at one point, DID do WHAT at sea!?
Radioactive powder was just... puffed into the air? and then people were shocked that it sometimes blew back onto the vessel doing the puffing?

Progression and Innovations in Worldwide Maritime Security: Exploring Submersibles and Advisory Solutions
Introduction
The global seascape has undergone significant transformation over time, spurred by technological progress, geopolitical transitions, and evolving security dynamics. At the heart of this evolution lie submarines, notably diesel-electric and nuclear variants, serving as linchpins in naval strategies worldwide. Concurrently, the demand for specialized advisory solutions in maritime and aviation sectors has surged, reflecting the necessity for expert guidance amidst intricate challenges. This discourse delves into the nuances of global maritime security, focusing on the roles of submarines and the significance of advisory services in this realm.
Tumblr media
The Importance of Submersibles in Global Maritime Security
Submarines have long been hailed as strategic assets in naval warfare, offering stealth, endurance, and adaptability. Their capability to operate clandestinely beneath the ocean's surface furnishes a critical edge in surveillance, intelligence gathering, and strategic deterrence. The two primary classifications of submarines – diesel-electric and nuclear-powered – each proffer distinct capabilities and operational merits.
Diesel-Electric Submersibles
Diesel-electric submarines, propelled by diesel engines on the surface and electric batteries underwater, have been integral components of naval fleets globally. These submarines are esteemed for their relatively modest cost, maneuverability, and efficacy in littoral waters. Their adeptness in executing silent maneuvers renders them well-suited for reconnaissance, coastal defense, and anti-submarine warfare in shallow and congested domains. Nevertheless, their restricted submerged endurance and reliance on snorkeling for air intake present operational challenges, particularly during prolonged missions.
Nuclear Submersibles
In contrast, nuclear-powered submarines harness nuclear reactors for propulsion, enabling extended submersion sans the requirement for atmospheric oxygen. This intrinsic advantage bestows nuclear submarines with unmatched endurance, velocity, and autonomy, rendering them formidable assets in defensive and offensive capacities. Capable of undertaking long-range patrols, strategic deterrence missions, and expansive maritime reach, nuclear submarines, equipped with advanced propulsion systems, sophisticated sensor suites, and potent armaments, elevate naval warfare capabilities to unprecedented levels.
Technological Progressions and Operational Hurdles
The ongoing advancements in submarine design, propulsion mechanisms, stealth technology, and sensor capabilities continue to redefine operational paradigms. Emerging technologies such as unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), artificial intelligence (AI), and state-of-the-art sonar systems augment situational awareness and operational efficacy of submarines. Nevertheless, these advancements also pose challenges, necessitating robust cybersecurity measures, adaptation to evolving anti-submarine warfare tactics, and seamless integration of intricate systems into existing platforms.

Nuclear Inktober #7: SUBROC (UUM-44A)
Tumblr media
SUBROC is launched from a torpedo tube, emerges from underwater and reenters the water to attack submerged submarines. - nuke book
Interesting fact: as of 1984, 63 U.S. attack submarines were capable of delivering this 1-5 kiloton fission weapon.
Also this thing weighs less than 675 lb, which means if you were thinking about carrying it anywhere, you're not. But hold that thought for next entry. It's a dangerous thought, but prescient.

It's news but not at all unexpected. Donald Trump was sharing America's nuclear secrets with a foreigner.
Donald Trump allegedly discussed potentially sensitive information about US nuclear submarines with an Australian billionaire, Anthony Pratt, three months after leaving office, according to a new report. Citing a source with knowledge of the Australian’s account to investigators for the special counsel Jack Smith, US news outlet ABC News reported an “excited” Trump allegedly discussed “the supposed exact number of nuclear warheads [US submarines] routinely carry, and exactly how close they supposedly can get to a Russian submarine without being detected”. Smith has charged Trump with 40 criminal counts related to his retention of classified information after leaving office. The former president also faces 17 criminal counts regarding election subversion (four federal, from Smith, and 13 in Georgia) and 34 concerning hush-money payments to the adult film actor Stormy Daniels.
Trump and some of his sycophants have been calling for the execution of his alleged political opponents. So what should be the penalty for disclosing US nuclear secrets?
ABC said Trump spoke to Pratt, at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in April 2021. Pratt then allegedly shared the information about submarines “within minutes” of learning it, shocking a Trump employee who heard him. Pratt, the ABC report alleged, went on to share the information with at least 45 people, including his own employees, journalists, foreign and Australian officials “and three former Australian prime ministers”.
Of course Trump sees nothing wrong with sharing classified information he kept next to his toilet.
Trump did not immediately comment, but a spokesperson for Trump later told ABC News: “President Trump did nothing wrong, has always insisted on truth and transparency, and acted in a proper manner, according to the law.”
Trump is a traitor who will put his personal interests above the national security of the United States.
Never be shy about sharing news of Trump's poor record on national defense and security with soft Trump voters. Repetition is an effective tool which liberals have foolishly neglected over the years.
