The Talk (page 5)
Doodler AU post || start || previous || next ||
Sorry for the unofficial break in the comic pages! We’re back now babeyyyy
This comic takes place shortly after the Doodler’s homunculus body was made. Lark and Sparrow try to figure out how they feel about the situation.
Dialogue under the cut!
Lark: …! Because you can’t-!
Sparrow: Think about it.
Sparrow: If you could go back… Without the apocalypse, without all the hurt, no magic weirdness, wouldn’t you?
Sparrow: A second chance to get things right.

According to the book, this room was the Philadelphia Library Lounge. I couldn’t find any recent information about this space so it may not be in existence or has been turned into something else. In any case, the broad, dark paneling is stunning. The painting is The Skater (Portrait of William Grant), 1782, by Gilbert Stuart, the original currently housed at the National Gallery of Art.
