I have a casual gameplay save where my goal is to get through every single aspiration with one sim... like, actually play through each one with no cheating lol (kind of Globetrotter on steroids ig). In that save, my sim Ricardo quickly became best friends with this local from Selvadorada... but she was lookin a little rough for my taste (but had potential I think!!!) so I gave her a makeover. She has the soulmate aspiration; she's creative, a party animal, an animal lover, family-oriented, and clumsy. She likes the color orange, latin pop, baking, dancing (she looks very cute doing the rumbasim), and flower arranging among a few other things I can't remember. Idk if her and Ricardo will have a romantic spark... but I like her a lot so I suppose time will tell!

I thought I would share because this dumb save is why I haven't posted any content in a minute. I'm trying to fall in love with actual gameplay again, because it has been a long time since I just played without deadlines/projects looming over me.

I kept all her info that CAS generated the same, and the only cc I used were skin details and eyelashes. I quickly learned that dressing sims without CC hair/clothes/shoes/accessories/etc. SUCKS lmao. I missed my hairs the most, but truly idk how ya'll who play 100% vanilla do it. 😂 I only took nearly all my CC out in hopes that the game would run a bit smoother for gameplay (the jury's still out because the lag is real 🤦‍♀️).

Anyway, that's what I've been doing all week. Just feeling kind of anxious/unmotivated lol so I give you this

so i was wondering: what are valerius' thoughts on his own facial hair? does he care about being clean shaven or if he has a beard? also, how did him and camellia decide on their children's names

Valerius is very particular about his personal grooming in all aspects - he prefers to keep his nails, for example, clean and and short; he is especially fussy when it comes to his fangs (for obvious reasons) - so for facial hair, generally he prefers to be clean-shaven with up to a few days' stubble. Obviously that's not completely viable on campaign, so he does end up with a bit of a beard the longer he and his party are out in the Worldwound and during the six months spent in the Abyss. He does also, admittedly, grow a bit of a Depression Beard while he and Camellia are separated after she leaves for a couple of years. But generally he prefers being clean shaven, and Camellia prefers it too. There's only so much stubble or beard burn she can tolerate before it stops feeling nice.

As for the children: I chose those names because Violeta would be consistent with names on both sides of the family (flowers - Rozalia (Vali's mother), Camellia, Iris (Camellia's mother)) and Marius because well...honestly I just liked it. As for in-game reasons - pretty much exactly that for Violeta; Valerius wanted to give her the feminine version of his name (Valeria) but Camellia put her foot down and said "we are not giving your name to our daughter as her first name" and with some back and forth, they decided on Violeta; appropriate, given she has her mother's dark hair but inherited her maternal grandmother's reddish-purple eyes. Marius was chosen a little later - originally he was going to be called Laurentin, after Valerius' late stepfather, but they settled on that as a middle name - when Camellia selected it from a gothic romance novel she particularly enjoyed. Since Valerius had decided on Violeta, he agreed to Cami's choice. Valeria also became Violeta's middle name.

Caesar agreed to build him a stable, proper body as the world wasn't ending around them and there isn't anyone breathing down his neck about it anymore

Initially strained relationship with Cesar, but it has gotten better over the years

has been protective of Violeta since it found her petri-dish

very much encouraging her mischievous/rebellious side

was initially conflicted with Roman- on one hand there's a person just like it who's just as confused about everything as it was, on the other hand, there was a bit of jealousy of him instantly having a stable form and not having to fight for a place in the family (Violeta's favoring her new playmate didn't help matters) but quickly grew just as fond of the little scaredy cat

he is still able to possess/mutate technology, but it wrecks his body and destabilizes him for a while so he only does it in emergencies

still has the schematics for the original ultimatrix

usually exploring the world

knows the Null-Void better than anyone but refuses to help the Plumbers since they keep sending it there (very rude, Cesar just opens a portal to where it is but it's still annoying)
