The sun was beating down against your bare shoulders, you were speaking to the town's Sheriff about the upcoming festival, smiling as he gave you his full attention. He tilted his head to the side whenever you smiled and giggled at his words, acutely aware of the scowl on the face of the man on the other side of the garden. He was sure to keep a close watch on him as he pretended to converse with your brother.

Charles Blackwood watched you intently as you flirted with the Sheriff, touching his arm and leaning into him to ‘hear him better’. He knew exactly what you were doing and it was all his own fault. You wanted more from him, wanted to be able to shout from the rooftops that you were in love with him and that the two of you wanted to spend the rest of your lives together.

He couldn’t though, your brother was his best friend and he had sworn to not touch you, it was the first rule of being a best friend and Charles had agreed; he understood the protective nature of brothers. You were away at college when he moved to town and met your brother, it wasn’t a problem until you came home later that year after finishing college and getting a job locally.

You’d been together in secret for almost a full year now, sneaking off to his home or fucking in the back of his car on road trips you disguised as ‘girls days out’. You’d both fell in love quickly but he knew he had to break your heart to keep his promise to your brother, he was supposed to be a man of his word.

That didn’t mean he wasn’t furious watching you now, he knew you’d always had a soft spot for the Sheriff, watched as you both flirted so effortlessly with each other while you were on shift in the diner. You would sneak him pieces of pie, telling him not to complain about his belly, you liked him just the way he was. He saw the red cheeks of the Sheriff and how he tried to bite his lip to not smile too wide whenever you complimented him. He even watched as Lee scared people into tipping you properly with a single menacing glance while you weren’t looking.

Now he has to watch as the pair of you dance around each other, subtle looks here and there or smiles across the party at each other. Your brother told him he was going up to his room, the girl on his arm giggling and kissing his neck. Charles looks around the space, everyone is either occupied or has already left.

He looks down at the bottle in his hands, peeling the label off in an effort to distract himself, he’s only stayed this long because he wants to keep an eye on you, make sure you’re safe. The label comes off in nearly one full go when he hears it, you and Lee giggling. He looks up to see him playfully tickling you, you’re in his arms with your head thrown back, eyes closed and giggles spilling out of your open mouth. Gripping the bottle tightly in his hand and scowling at you both he slams the beer down on the table, marching over to the two of you and grabbing you out of his arms. Placing himself between you and the handsy sheriff, “Get your hands off my fucking girlfriend” he spits, furious that Lee thinks he can touch you like that.

He suddenly feels a sharp pain on the back of his head and turns to you, rubbing your hand from the slap you just gave him. He looks at you incredulous that you would actually strike him, “I’m not your girlfriend, you made that abundantly clear last week when you were the one who didn’t want me. It was your decision Charles, not mine.” You move around him and grab Lee’s hand, taking him to the other side of the garden where the ice bucket filled with cold beers and the buffet table now stood abandoned. The commotion had scared the remaining party goers away, just the three of you remained and the tension was palpable.

“Sweetheart, I don’t want to come between whatever is going on with you and Blackwood” Lee says, watching as the upset look on your face gives way to a mischievous one instead. He grins as you look for Charles, nodding at him in challenge before pulling Lee in for a kiss. You hold his head pulling back for just a moment, giving him the chance to stop you. He smirks and leans down, kissing you deeply while snaking his arm around your waist to keep you close. He walks you backwards towards the nearby bench but you both stop and look when your back hits something solid.

Charles stands seething, unwrapping Lee’s arm from around your waist, spinning you around, and pulling you into his chest “What the fuck are doing with my girl, Bodecker?”. You go to protest but he crashes his lips down against your own, pushing his tongue into your mouth, and holding you close as you melt into him.

He sits down on the bench and pats his thighs “Come take a seat baby”. You look at him conflicted, turning back to Lee who has a look on his face that you can’t quite make out. He nods towards Charles and pushes you towards him, crowding you until you sit down. Taking the seat next to you both he watches as Charles places soft kisses over your neck, running his hands up your legs.

“Think you can have another man little dove? You’re mine, aren’t you?”. You try to fight it, biting down harshly on your bottom lip and balling your hands into fists next to him, “You look so pretty here, don’t you want to show the Sheriff what a good girl you are for me?”.

This routine had some things you hadn’t done before, so you had trouble with a few of the steps, but got the hang of it for the most part

You had tried to get Kirishimas attention, but he was so immersed in his own routine, he failed to hear you calling for his help

Lucky for you, Bakugou had just entered the gym, so you decided to ask him for help

After some argument, he finally agreed to teach you how to do it

“It’s just a push up, except you have your ass in the air, stupid” he said showing you his form

While the two of you were interacting, Kirishima looked in the mirror and saw you with your butt in the air next to Bakugou and immediately went to see what was up

By the time Kirishima was walking towards you guys, Bakugou left, and you were able to focus on yourself.

As you were in position, you looked up to find your frowning boyfriend looking down at you

“What was that?” he asked crossing his arms

“Kiri, Bakugou was just showing me how to do some pike push ups, nothing weird” you said crossing your arms “I tried to get you to help me, but you were too busy..” you said pouting

You smiled at him, and nodded “alright, but you better always be prepared!”

“I will, I will...” he said sitting down next to you, “So these pike push ups..”

It was midterms time again, and you had asked Momo for some help sine your English grade was SUFFERING!

Her being the lovely girlfriend she is, accepted your proposal happily since it was also just an excuse for the two of you to have some time together

Too bad for the both of you though, because other people in class heard, and immediately started asking for Momos tutoring as well

Time skip to after school when you were all walking to her dorm together

Mina was holding your arm and the two of you were talking about a new anime that had just come out

When Momo saw the two of you practically glued together and laughing with each other, she felt a jab in her heart, but she decided to ignore it

During the study session, you and Mina kept talking about the anime, and Momo was getting kind of fed up with the lack of attention you were giving her

After the study session, you approached Momo after everyone had left

He begged his team to help him out and give him a step up, but anything they adviced didn’t work out like they imagined it would. There was this upcoming school festival for Karasuno High. Will Hinata finally grab the chance to tell you or would it take him much longer to be ready.

Yesterday Hinata walked with you because your houses were close. He got really angry and told you he forgot his wallet at home, so you bought him some of his favorite, meat buns.

“Nah dude, don’t mention it! You don’t have to owe me even if I always buy you food after school”. He smiled widely and went to Kageyama, supposedly to discuss about their quick, which just ended with them bickering at each other.

Tanaka walked over to you and got close to your ears and whispered. “Hey y/n, mmmmmm is it just me or you and Hinata auhhhh… have gotten closer?”

“Hm? Well dUh. We walk to school together, we walk home together, we’re in the same grade, we’ve been friends since middle school, and were basically neighbors. Are you stupid?”

You noticed your phone ringing…

“N-nevermind! I’ll just ask y/n for help! She’s really smart and good in teaching, and she’s also really nice.” Hinata said

“Yeah. If you pass the exam period, you can still enjoy the festival.” Daichi said

“Hey Hinata. Since yknow, y/n has helped you alot till now, especially during exams right? So don’t you like, wanna repay her back somehow?” Ennoshita said

“Yeah, like inviting her to the festival and yknow, finally tell her how you feel, or something?” Tanaka said teasingly

Hinata’s cheeks grew bright red and instantly looked away. “Wha-? W-what are you s-saying?” He stuttered

“Oh c'mon Hinata, it’s hella obvious that you both like eachother. Anyone could tell, even the dumbest person we know can.” Suga said

“N-no I don’t! Besides, we’ve been friends for so long, she’s seen how stupid I am, so obviously she’ll never like me. I can’t even gather up the courage to tell her, heck, I don’t even know how to set the right time to let her know!” Hinata said

“Mmmmmm…. then.. we’ll help you out! How ‘bout asking her to teach you? So if you confess by then, you both would have fUn together at the festival. Or at least hint it, yknow?” Nishinoya said

“During a study session? Noya that’s like the worst time to tell someone your feelings. This is why Kiyoko doe- u r g h-” Noya screams at the top of his lungs to overlap what Suga was saying

“Mmmmm… I’m not sure about this. I can barely stay focus when with her.. maybe we- I shouldn’t.”

“Dumbass. If you won’t do it now, when will you? You’re just gonna sit there till she finds someone else? If you really don’t want to lose her, then at least make your move now. One day you’ll regret not telling her if you don’t, so get moving and let us- I mean tHEm help you.” Kageyama said wow some actually good advice from kags. How rare.

“Wow. Who knew? Kageyama can actually say stuff that are helpful?”

“K r00d.” Kageyama snarled

“Heh. Fine. Since you’re all willing to help, I guess the least I can do is set your plans to work.” Hinata said.

“Ok. Since we’ve been planning for this day since the time you introduced y/n to us, we have a plan in mind already. Care to say it Suga?” Daichi said

“Ok. Y/n sucks at Japanese right? So here’s what you have to do….. did you get that?” Suga asked

“Mmmm… yeah. Kinda” Hinata said

They all called it a day and went straight home.

You were about to sleep when you heard your phone buzz, revealing a message.

Ah. Y/n. Sorry for messaging you this late

“Mmm Hinata? No no it’s Fine! What’s up?”

Well I’m pretty sure you have like alot to do and I’m just being a bother because I always ask you about this buuuuttttt

Haha yeah. I forgot that your knowledge is actually advanced, so you’re capable of teaching upperclassmen.

Hinata told Tanaka and Nishinoya, as well as Kageyama and Yamaguchi what y/n told him. This boosted the chances of their plan and to offer Hinata support.

3 days till exams, 4 days till the festival, and 7 days till Finals. Goal, to carry out the plan before Finals comes.

Hinata and the others were able to come to your class during breaks and free periods and study hours.

“So y/n, you sucked at Japanese literature, right? Even if you speak Japanese, it’s hard for you to actually write what certain words say.” Kageyama asked

“Ah, yes that’s true lol. But isn’t that the subject that Hinata’s good at? That’s why I asked him to teach me that” you said

As time went by, you all continued to share learning and understandings, plus you were able to help even the second years alot.

“Ah, Hinata! What does Soba ni Ite Hoshii mean?”

“Mmmmm… that means-oW” Hinata said, surprised. Tanaka gave him a soft kick on the leg and shot him a look. “Are you stupid Hi- ah- y/n? Everyone knows that!” Tanaka exclaimed.

You pouted. You were confused as to why they didn’t tell you what it meant but teased you instead. But that didn’t bother You, you wanted to focus on studying and to pass your exams to be able to enjoy the festival with your friends.

2 days till exams, 3 days till the festival, and 6 days till Finals. Goal, to carry out the plan before Finals comes.

“Y/n!!!! How tf do you do that Pythagorean theorem nonsense whatever that shit is again??”

“Oh! Tanaka-san! I’ll teach you, you do this and that then you do that” (♤: ok like I can’t describe how this theorem stuff works so I ain’t using my time to Google it and copy paste it here lmao)

“I’ll tell you after exams” he said as he half smiled at you. “0r mAyBe n0t”. Damn Shou be savage.

Tomorrow are the exams, 2 days till the festival, and 5 days till Finals. Goal, to carry out the plan before Finals comes.

“Hey y/n, after school today, want to stop by Ukai-san’s shop and buy some meat buns?”. “Shou we always stop by there and I’m the one paying for our food.”

“Ok guys. Tomorrow are the exams, so show me how much you’ve learned from me by passing the exams so we can enjoy our 3-day festival to rest up before finals”

After studying together with the others, you finally wrapped up and separated ways, with you stopping by the shop to buy some snacks then walking home with Hinata.

Today are exams, tomorrow is the festival, and 4 days till Finals. Goal, to carry out the plan before Finals comes.

Time seemed slow. The entire class remained quiet, but deep inside, everyone was panicking. Today is the day of exams. Today is the day that’ll determine who gets to enjoy the festival and who won’t. It was obvious in the atmosphere surrounding the school that no one dared to make a single sound.

“Time’s up class, pass em in. The results will come out by the end of the day, but for now, turn to page 345 of your Mathematics textbooks and answer the 50-item Chapter Review there.” The teacher said. You all watched the teacher’s every step as she exits the classroom. Once she closes the door, everyone breathed out a huge sigh of relief. You could hear everyone talking to one another, transferring seats, and talking about how hard the test was and what challenged them the most, but all you thought was I wonder how Shou and the others did… I hope they pass so that we can all enjoy the festival together.

Hours and hours passed by. You couldn’t take it. You were minutes away from hearing about the results, and everyone was scared shitless. Everyone was restless, and you were sure that the only thing in everyone’s minds was I hope i pass, even if I get the exact passing grade, just let me pass.

The teacher came in, carrying cards that probably contains your grades and how well you did. No one dared to breathe a single sound. Everyone barely moved. Everyone seemed to be stuck on their chairs, all eyes are focused unto the teacher’s hands.

“Well start with the students at the back row, once I call your surname, stand up and retrieve your grading cards. We’ll start with… Nichiiyama…”

Nichiiyama stood up, his movements were stiff and his hands were shaking as he held his card, and quietly made his way to his chair. The teacher continued calling students’ names, until she called yours. You stood up stiffly, making your way to the front desk and held up your hands and- “Good work y/n.. You scored the top grades in the class. Continue your good work, alright?” The teacher whispered into your ear and patted your back. As you walked back, you opened your card and saw that your grades were either 1 or 2 in every subject. You sighed when a huge wave of relief came over you. The only thing you’re worried about now is how Hinata and the others did.

“Aaanddd that’s all of You. Those who didn’t make it, you’ll be spending your 3-day break in Supplementary classes to retake your tests and pass, but those who passed, you’re free to enjoy the festival as you wish. That’s all for today, and let’s see eachother next week.” The teacher bowed and made their way to the door. Everyone started to pack up, chatting with eachother about how they did, or who passed. “Hey y/n, did You pass?” Your friend asked. “Yeah I did, how about you?”. “Man, I barElY made it, yknow? My scores were a solid 42 and around 40s, and my grades were Like, 3 and 3.5! I was lucky to make the 40-grade mark. Btw y/n, do you want to hang out after school today?”. “Ah… I’m not sure… I have to stop by the club today, but I’ll catch up with you.”

You rushed out of the classroom and to the gym. You arrived to the clubroom with the 3rd years inside already, and Ennoshita, Kinoshita, and Narita. “Oh hey y/n, you’re here early. Your students aren’t here yet, but they should be arriving soon” Narita said. You waited and waited for them while playing animal crossing on your phone.

“Y/n!! Y/n!! We passed! We fuckin passed! How in the world did I passs??”. Tanaka said running towards the room, teary- eyed. “Idiot! It’s all because y/n helped us!” Noya said, smacking Tanaka’s back. “Yeah, it’s all thanks to you, y/n. We’ll be able to enjoy the festival because of your work. Even I passed all of the exams.” Kageyama then bowed. “Ah- no you don’t need to thank me! I didn’t do much, you should thank yourselves, for working hard to pass! All I did was help you get there.” You said. You turned to look for Hinata and hear about his results. “Heh. Yeah. Thanks so much y/n, we passed because of your help. So uh… because of your help and all uhm.. I wanted to somehow repay you and stuff..” Everyone turned their heads to Hinata and you, somehow expecting something or an answer. “What is it Shou?” You asked. “Well uh.. I was thinking that since you helped all of us and personally you help me alot everyday I was wondering if you wanted to come to the festival with me.. I mean all of us ofcourse!” He said shyly, his cheeks heating up a bit and fiddling with his fingers. Everyone looked like they were gonna laugh and some were smiling widely. “Ofcourse I’ll go! I was planning to anyways, but I gotta go right now since my friends and I are going out for a bit, so I’ll meet you all by the entrance tomorrow! See ya.” You said as you rushed out of the room and met up with your friends. As you left, Hinata looked like he was about to faint and exploding.

Geh. I’m too early.. we all agreed to meet up by 3pm.. and look at this, it’s only 1:30pm and I’m already here. Guess I should walk around for now till they come-

“Y/n?” You were surprised to see the 3rd years standing by the entrance, along with the 2nd years and the 1st years, except one person..

“Why isn’t Hinata with you, y/n? Aren’t you 2 neighbors?” Ennoshita asked. “Mmmm, his mom said he might get there late and told me to get along, so I decided to wait for him here.” You told them.

“Crap.. If Hinata doesn’t show up, what’s the point of doing all this?” Tanaka whispered to Suga. “Don’t say that, we just have to do as we planned. I’ll call Hinata to check up on him.” Suga whispered. “I’ll go over there for a while to call someone, k?” Suga walked over by the trees and took out his phone and dialed Hinata’s number.

“Hinata, where are you?”

Suga-san? Oh sorry, I didn’t feel well when I woke up… My mom said that I should rest, I’m really sorry… you all planned for this day, but I blew it, just because of a godDAMN fever-

“Nono it’s fine Hinata. Don’t apologize, I understand, these stuff happen unexpectedly, but it’s not like you lost your chance, alright? Remember, this plan is full proof and we have 3 days of the festival! Although I’m not sure if you can heal up by Then, but we’ll have to hope for the best. Just, rest up right now ok? So you can catch up.”

Alright Suga-san. Bye.

Suga puts down his phone and walks over to where the others are. “Well, Hinata wouldn’t make it today… he’s gotten a fever. But he said that he’ll try his best to make it tomorrow though! So let’s enjoy this day and hope that he feels better, especially with Finals coming up soon.”

Damnit Shou. You’re the one who invited me, then you’re the one who wouldn’t make it.. sigh.. I’ll just drop by your house later I guess… I do hope that he’ll feel better soon, I wanted to tell him something and decided that the festival would be nice…

Despite Hinata’s absence, you all tried to enjoy the festival. Checking out every stall, entering games and winning them, and eating with the team. You decided to bring Hinata a stuffed crow you won at one of the shooting games, and to stop by a convenience store to buy him some food.

“Alright guys, we’ll all meet by here tomorrow at the same time, if you can. But we’ll all be there at the last day of this festival, okay? On the 3rd day there’ll be a fireworks showcasing, and i think that’ll be fun and calming so all should be present by Then, but for now, all of you go home and rest.” Daichi said. Everyone began to separate ways, including you. You walked lazily, not used to walking at night alone. Looking up at the sky, you remembered how you and your friends always went out stargazing during cold winter nights like this. Even if you were wearing a yukata that travelled along your feet, you could still feel the cold air breezing through. After stopping by the store to buy some food, you started walking up the mountain road towards home. You were cold and freezing. You were lonely.

“Walking home at nights like this without anyone to talk to sure is lonely.” You let out a little chuckle afterwards.

“It sure is. Why didn’t you call me that you were heading home? I could’ve walked with you.” You jolted. You were sure that you were alone while Walking, but as you faced infront of you, you saw Hinata in his pajamas, holding a jacket. “Here. You must be freezing.. Sugawara told me that you all went home, so I tried to get out to bring you home, but Natsu insisted me to stay. I had to give her one of those ‘Play with Sister for 1 hour Coupon’ just so I can leave lol.. ah! You must be freezing, here, wear this.” He said as he put on the jacket on you. You felt safe and warm, and complete with him. You both shared chars and laughs as you walked, which reminded you from when you were middle schoolers.

The next day you called Hinata’s house number, but his mom was the one who picked up, saying that he wouldn’t be able to come again, but he was feeling a little bit better. You thanked her and dropped the phone. He’s still not healed up yet, huh? What should I do for today? If I go to the festival, it would be boring because we already experienced all of it yesterday, and plus Hinata wouldn’t even be able to come with us..

Since you weren’t feeling like doing anything productive today, you just slept till afternoon.

“Shit-! I slepT an entire day? Is it seriously the last day of the festival?? I only planned to sleep till afternoon, so how is it the next day already?? Geh, fuck that. I should just get changed to meet up with the others. Especially that today is when all of us should be present..” either way, you got up and got dressed. After getting ready, you found yourself standing infront of Hinata’s doorstep. I probably shouldn’t disturb him, he might still be resting. You decided to go on alone.

You met up with the others and surprisingly-

“Hey y/n..”. You saw Hinata standing infront if everyone. “Sorry I didn’t tell you that I decided to go on ahead. I wanted to sorta… surprise you I guess…haha” Hinata said with a short laugh. “It took awhile, but when he called up on me, he said that he was feeling a bit better, although he still has a bit if his fever.” Yamaguchi said

You were really happy that you’re able to spend the last day of the festival with him especially so that you could finally tell him.

You spent the entire day playing games, eating in every stall, and watching the band’s perform. You all had an amazing time together. Suga and Daichi trying to contain Tanaka and Noya, Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita all sitting in a bench calmly, Tsukki and Yams playing with the fish thing, yknow… the one ripoff game where you catch fish using a paper on a handle thing but the fish wouldn’t survive an entire month, Asahi and Kiyoko looking at souvenir shops, while you and Hinata, long with Kageyama, go around eating everywhere.

Finally, 8pm came around. The fireworks were said to start at 8:30, so you all decided to get a spot to put a tent on so you could all wait.

Hinata was with Tanaka, Noya, Kageyama, and Suga. “C'mon Hinata, now is nOt the time for you to back out! This is finally the moment you can tell her!” Suga said. “Yeah! Shouyo, this is now or never, if you don’t do it now, then when will You? Noya asked. “You don’t want to lose y/n right? Then take it now.” Kageyama said.

Hinata wasn’t sure. All he could thing was what if she doesn’t feel the same? If I told her and turns out it isn’t mutual… wouldn’t that make our friendship awkward? What if confessing just break the history we had? What if-

“I’m sorry guys… I’m… just not sure I can. What if she doesn’t feel the same? Then that would just ruin everything… maybe we should give this more thought…” Hinata sighed. “Yeah But.. Hinata what if-”. Suga was cut off by Hinata standing up. He smiled then said “Its alright… if she does find someone… then I’ll support her whole- heartedly.”

He stood up and walked over by the trees. “Hinata wait-”

He sighed. “Heh. What was I thinking? Actually hoping that if I confess, it would work out? She probably doesn’t like me at all honestly..”

20 minutes passed by. No one could find where Hinata went. “Suga! Dis you check any of the stalls?” “Yes we did! But he wasn t there! I don’t think he’s at the festival anymore..” “maybe he went home already?”

You helped everyone search for him. What was he thinking? Wandering off like that out of nowhere.. Dammit Shou! Where are You? You saw a trail of footsteps towards the forest. You thought that just maybe, he might have went there..

You walked through… and as soon as you saw light, you saw..

“Shou?” You asked quietly. He froze for a minute. When he turned around to face You, you noticed that he had tears running down his face.

“H-hey Shou… why are you- are you alright?” You asked. You walked towards him slowly

“Y/n… I uh.. I’m sorry for disappearing so suddenly.. I didn’t mean to- i-” he stops. “I wasnt-” he pauses. He quickly wipes his tears and plaster a huge smile on his face

You instantly run up to him, and throw you arms around him, hugging him tightly. “Idiot. At least tell me if you’re going to disappear like that..” You release.

“Haha.. yeah.. sorry about that..”

Crap.. is it almost 8:30? We better get back to the others before we miss the firewo-

Just as you were tugging his shirt, signaling that you both go back, he grips your arm.

“Maybe we should stay. The view is nice out here.” He says with a soft voice

“Yeah.. but what about the others?” You asked. “They’ll be fine.. since you haven’t come back yet it’s obvious that you’ve found me already.” He says. You both stood next to eachother waiting for the fireworks. Hinata stood silently looking at the sky with a wide smile on his face.

“Its been a while since we went stargazing..” he said. “Ah. Haha yes it has..” You said. There was a moment of silence and awkwardness. You wanted to break this unstoppable silence covering the two of you-

“Hey y/n.. have I ever told you what Soba ni Ite Hoshii meant?”

“Mmmmm… nah. You all teased me about not knowing it though..”

“Then I’ll tell You, right now..”

He takes a deep breath then.. “Y/n! Soba ni Ite Hoshii-!” He takes a few steps back, trying to process what he has said without thinking.

“What? A sorry Shou… I didn’t really know what it means lol… Maybe if you can tell me in English?” You laugh nervously.

“Fine.. y/n.. I-”

You could hear the fireworks blasting off with your left ear. You both stood firmly from where you where standing. The fireworks were loud, loud enough to overlap what he meant. But You heard him loud and clear. What he said caused your heart to skip a beat. You couldn’t process properly what you had heard. You thought that you were somewhat dreaming.

You both stood in silence, both yours and Hinata’s faces were red. You were speechless.

“Shou.. i-”. “I get it y/n.. it’s not the same huh? Maybe we should just stay as friends.. or if that’s too awkward for you-” he pauses. He turns back, waving his hand to signal you that you both should go back.

But I haven’t given him my answer yet…

You grip his arm, jerking him towards you. “Shou please listen for a while..”

You told him everything you’ve hidden since God knows when. All you could think was this is it. This is now or never. There’s no backing out now. If i don’t tell him now, when will I? I don’t want to lose him. You were speaking in a hushed tone, your face heating up, your heartbeat growing faster and faster, but you knew that you shouldn’t stop. You didn’t.

After you told him, you tried to avoid eye contact. He pulls you closely, your faces drawing nearer eachother. You felt his hands tightly behind you back, yours on his. His face resting in your shoulder, beside your face.

“Does this mean we-”

“Dammit Shou, don’t make it more awkward than it is already” you laughed.

“Hahaha yeah… but we should really go back to the others now y/n..” He said. “I guess we should lol.” You hold his hand tightly as you both walked towards your team.

“Congrats on your win at the Finals, Shou.” You giggled as you both walked home. “Thanks y/n, but I wouldn’t have done my best without you watching us.” He says. “Damn, since when have you been romantic?”. “Shut up.” Hinata says looking away.

“Hey y/n… stay with me always, will You?”

Ohmtoonz- Genghis Khan

holy fuck I’m alive

idk if anyone is still reading this or waiting for the rest but I’m going to write out everything i have left because i finally rose from the pit of depression and lack of motivation i was in.

After this chapter there is only one more, plus a chapter of bonus bits i didn’t get to quite fit in

Chapter 11-With nobody else but me

Considering he had very possibly just ruined his friendship beyond repair, Luke felt a strange sense of detached calm. The jittery energy and anxiety from both the situation with Princess and Ryan faded away into white noise. Luke hummed in thought, and turned to look out the window (bless Jon for getting him a window seat) ad popped in his earbuds, listening to music before eventually falling asleep.

It seemed like only seconds later he was awoken by the kind elderly lady he shared a seat with. Mumbling a sleepy thank you, he stretched and got his duffel bag from overhead and checked his phone, which was- dead. Mouth turning down slightly, he quickly exited his plane and made sure he had everything with him before going to one of the airport exits. On his way, he spotted a large clock.

It was seven in the morning.

Huffing he continued outwards, his worry for Princess taking over again. Quickly flagging down a taxi and making his way to his house, he burst in after fumbling with his key, almost running past the kitchen if it wasn’t for a faint and surprised “Luke?” Dropping his bags he turned towards the kitchen, where his mother was.

“Oh... Hi Ma. What are you doing here? How-How’s Princess??” His mother smiled a little

“I was just checkin on your house, making sure everything was alright. Glad I swung by and managed to catch you.” She said, “Princess is fine, she’s in stable condition after the surgery. Would you like to go to the vet with me right now or do you wanna eat?”

Luke nodded quickly before she could finish her sentence, slight relief sinking into his tense frame as they went over to his mother’s car and drove to the local veterinary hospital. On the way, his mother explained how she had arrived to feed Princess and change her litter the other night when she just sudden ran out into the dark. After calling her for a few minutes she went out to look for her and heard Princess yowl really loud. She was found lying next to the car with a large bleeding gash on her stomach. They rushed her to the vet and then she was taken into surgery to make sure that the wound wasn’t too deep or in any important blood vessels nicked due to the amount of blood. Luke nodded silently as he listened along.

He stayed silent as they parked and went into the large building. He stayed silent as they went to the room where she was kept. He stayed silent until he saw the familiar long sleek black and fur of his baby. she was quiet and still, so still. She was never like this, even when she slept she purred. Tears welled up in the corners of his eyes as he neared her, barely noticing his mother excusing herself from the room as he took in the gauze wrapped around her stomach, which he could tell they shaved, and the small cast on her delicate paw.

“Princess?” Luke called softly.

In an instant her eyes shot open, looking for her owner. Upon seeing him he Mrrowed like she usually did around him, weak but herself. Smiling and letting the tears flow he pet her head gently, crouching down so her head was close to hers.

“Hey baby girl, how are you doin?” He asked quietly. Princess just closed her eyes and purred contently,

“Wow, thats the first time shes purred since she got here.” An unfamiliar voice said. Luke didn’t bother to move from his place as he pet Princess.

“How is she Doc?” The person in question moved into Luke’s line of vision. It was a slender woman, her blonde hair pulled into a bun. Her hands were clasped around a clipboard and she smiled at him gently.

“She’s fine, there wasn’t any lasting damage to her stomach the wound was just shallow and wide so we had to stitch the skin together, and her paw was fractured, but it was a clean break so she should be right as rain in no time.”

“Do you know what happened to her?”

“Looks like another animal attacked her. My bet is either a raccoon or possum if there’s any in your area.”

Luke nodded to himself. “Possum probably...When can she come home?”

“Today if you’d like. We just need to give her a final check up and you need to deal with some paperwork.”

Luke then stood up, his hand still on Princess’s head. “I’d love to bring her home as soon as possible.”

The woman smiled “Let’s get right to it.”

After an hour of paperwork (which was mostly instructions on how to care for Princess and payment for the surgery and other vet bills) and the ride home, Princess and Luke were lying on his bed, the latter thinking hard about the upcoming weeks. He’d have to be extra careful and gentle with her, and she’d likely not be very mobile for a long while. Shaking his head, he eased up from his bed, grabbing his bag and putting away the clothes inside it before heading over to the bathroom to start the shower. On his way back from the bathroom he noticed his phone on the floor near his bed, so he picked it up and plugged it in, getting dressed while it started up.

Seeing that his phone was blowing up with notifications, Luke gathered all his laundry and started the wash, opting to wait until it settled. When he returned he sighed and went through his notification, ignoring spam emails and other such things. He had a bunch of messages from Jon and Mark. Fair, all considering. Without even scanning them, Luke hit the call button next to Jon’s icon (a stupid selfie Jon had taken with Luke’s phone one night when Luke got to drunk to protest). It rung twice before he picked up.

“How’s Princess? How are you?? And Ma?”

“Fine, all fine. Princess is a tough little lady, got her ass beat and now she’s purring like nothing happened.” He chuckled faintly before continuing “Yeah, she’s fine, she had to get some stitches on her stomach, she’s kinda bald and her paw is broken, but otherwise she’s alright. Ma is ok too, she felt bad that Princess got hurt but I managed to convince her it wasn’t her fault. Princess gets in so much trouble sometimes I’m surprised she hadn’t had to go to the vet before..And I’m fine, now that the scare is over. How are all of you?”

There was a beat of silence before Jon answered “I’m glad Princess is alright and us, well now that we don’t have anything to worry about we’re fine. Planning on enjoying the rest of today before Mark and I gotta head back home...” Jon paused again before drawling “Considering how you, uh, left early, I think I’m gonna get you a present while I’m here.”

Luke flushed before saying “Look, I know I fucked up with Ryan. I’m planning on calling him and talking it out... I don’t even know what to say if I’m honest. But I will figure it out and talk to him, its only fair after the shit I pulled.”

Jon hummed in approval before saying “Hey, I’m gonna pass the phone to Mark, cause he’s chomping at the bit to talk to you.” Luke snorted as he heard the phone being passed.

After getting off the phone with Mark, Luke went into the kitchen, deciding to cook while he figured out what to say to Ryan. Deciding on something easy yet time consuming; mac and cheese from scratch, a comfort food he rarely indulged in now that he watched the carbs he ate. While he grated the different blocks of cheese, he thought out different ways to apologize and explain himself.

“I’m sorry I kissed your stupidly soft lips-”

“I’ve been in love with you basically since we met-”

“I’m a fucking idiot but I hope you can forgive me and forget what I did it was just the nerves-”

Luke sighed. How the fuck did all this even begin? Absentmindedly he continued mixed the ingredients together, the actions basically muscle memory from when he and Jon were younger.

It all began many, many recording sessions ago, in one of the siege rounds late at night. It was just the two of them, and they were both tired. He doesn’t remember what he said anymore, but he made a stupid remark about something or other and Ryan lost it, giggling uncontrollably for almost a minute. The face he made, along with his breathy giggles stirred something in Luke that he knew would only get worse. And ever since then, every joke, sly remark, laugh, serious chat, every glace he got at Ryan’s eyes, his smile, made him fall more and more in love, up until when he kissed him at the airport.

Luke hummed thoughtfully as he turned off the stove and set the dirty dishes in the sink. Well, no better time than now to call Ryan and apologize for what he had done. Ripping off the bandaid and all that. Without even eating, He walked over to his computer and video called Ryan, trying hard to keep from fidgeting as the call rang, and rang...and rang....and rang.

He didn’t pick up.

Luke tried twice more before he gave up, staring blankly at the screen, blinking away tears for the second time that day.

He really fucked up this time huh?

they got more and more infrequent, as he was trying to make a name out of himself by joining dance competitions and basically he got the ball rolling for his career starting at that point

you were lonely and missed talking to your best friend :(((

you were always so jealous of tae’s determination you were just,,, a wandering lost soul

in these dark times you turned to music and found major relief and comfort in soothing calm ballads and upbeat pumping beats

you got interested in music very quickly and decided to take up some music classes

you eventually learned how to play the piano and guitar, which led you to making cOVERS!!!!

you were enjoying it but you felt like there was still something missing

you took music theory and practically fell in love

in fact it pushed you to really analyze music and produce your own

the only job you were able to do was babysit your niece every weekend but at least your aunt was generous about the pay!!!

it still took you f o r ev er to save up for proper equipment but you were able to have a decent system going on

you locked yourself up in your room for who knows how long every single day to familiarize yourself with the new technology and play around with different instruments on the editor

it came to you so naturally that it only took you a week to produce something pretty decent for a rookie

and even in the midst of all of this you constantly think about tae and it influences your work and you practically make songs about him

you wanted to share it for people to hear so you opened up a soundcloud and youtube channel and posted on both

views were steady but a little low in the beginning but a few months in your little producing career it sKYROCKETED

everyone started to listen to your sick beats and mixes you were a dj bUT ALSO WITH THE BEST SINGING VOICE EVER WHAT A DOUBLE THREAT!!!

you became a viral sensation (sensational feeling lMAO ok bye)

at this time you were well into high school probably around your senior year and we all know how senior year can get hectic especially at the beginning

you decided to put your mixing on hiatus to focus on college apps and your classes for the time being

it was a few months in the school year around november when one day the school was buzzing with a little more energy than usual

you asked your friend “what’s the deal with everyone today????”

“uM have you not been paying attention?? there’s a new transfer kid and hE IS THE MOST MAJESTIC THING EVER”

and she goes on and on about his good looks and what a gentleman he is

you’re thinking guys like those are practically nonexistent i’ll have to see it to believe it

you just shrugged it off and walked to your homeroom

and there, folks, is when you couldn’t believe it bUT NOT FOR THE REASONS YOUR FRIEND SAID

“class we have a new student please introduce yourself!!”

you just brush it off and ask to see his schedule

you guys have a few classes together and plan to meet up at lunch so you can give a proper tour

it’s just like old times and you’re suddenly so nostalgic that you get slightly emotional

you just missed talking to him so much it’s been years since you picked up the phone and had a conversation with him

little did you know, he feels the exact same way

the way your arms brush across each other makes him go just a little crazy

it takes literally no time for him to get adjusted like by the end of the week he’s already got his own crew and is involved in a few clubs

ofc he is one of the officers in the dance club

he’s drastically improved his dancing skills to the point where he can singlehandedly make his own choreo

let’s just say it gets LIT AT RALLIES unlike my school smh

dance club meets pretty often, as the students wanna perfect every single dance they do

so basically multiply taeyang by 15

they’re amazing for a reason

you wanted to walk home with taeyang one day and stopped by one of their practices near closing time

as you near the door you hear some reaaaally familiar music

“hEY WAIT THATS MY SONG OMG!!!”

you watch through the classroom window and the dance team is busting out them moves

but all your eyes see is taeyang, front and center

not only does he look cool and charismatic but he looks happy doing what he loves

you clutch your backpack strap tighter and internally squeal legit your best friend is so hot rn

when’s he not tho??? anyway

when they finish the dance you hear him say “god this person who remixes these is so cool i love their works i would love to meet them”

and then he takes notice of you and dOES THIS CUTE AF LITTLE WAVE IM WEAK

one day at lunch he tells you about an upcoming competition he’s about to compete in

he actually got in the final round so he’s like

“!!!!!! if my team wins we win a scholarship!!!!!”

and you’re both freaking out and ofc you’re gonna go to support him

competition day rolls around soon and you’re in the bleachers overseeing everyone

you admit everyone is majorly talented but you know tae’s team has it in the bag if it has tae in it let’s be real here

when his team finally gets introduced they get into position

AND YOU CAN’T BELIEVE IT BUT YOUR SONG IS PLAYING AGAIN!!!

it’s blasting in the speakers for everyone to listen to and you’re so emotional rn

tae executes his dance as flawlessly as ever and you’re so proud of knowing someone like him

and that’s when you realize

everything you know about tae and his dancing

from the way he pulls all nighters for a new choreo to how much he glows when he’s out on the floor

you lift up your sleeve and stare at the shoes

“oh my god” you whisper

the results come in and ofc hE WINS YESSSS

tae’s team is asked to do a quick thank you speech and when it’s tae’s turn to speak you’re anticipating on what he’s going to say

“thank you to all my friends and family, esp my parents who have been supporting me the entire way!!! and of course my best friend who came all the way to watch me today i love you!!! :DDDDDD”

you know tae to be very touchy and affectionate

but that was actually the very first time he’s ever said that to you, whether it be platonically or romantically

he’s carrying the trophy in his right hand but when he sees you advancing towards him he quickly shoves it to the person closest to him LOL

you just giggle at how dumbfounded he is

and you take his face in both hands and plant a kiss on him AW SCUTE SCUTE

his hands tighten around your waist and you’re both smiling so much on each other’s lips

info about the upcoming months

yeah ok ive got an essay for you about my future activity BUT first things first i hope everyone will have a happy and successful 2017!! treat yourself well, remember that you are loved and i hope this year is extremely positive for you ❤️❤️❤️

onto the real stuff,,, this might be kinda long but don’t worry i’ll put a tl;dr at the bottom for those who struggle to read long passages of text or simply don’t care that much aHA its only regarding the activity of this blog so i mean if you don’t care that much feel free to skip the huge wall of text that probably has incorrect grammar and hundreds of typos or just ignore this do what makes u happy

explanation under the cut!

so january 4th is the day i go back to school and it also means it’s the last stretch of my (final) school year (fuckign bless). and like i’ve mentioned before i will be having my summer a level exams this year, and in the upcoming next week and a half or so i will be having mock exams, so i will be inactive because of that (and i’m going to be more dead than i was in the last couple of months of 2016).

aaaaaand i’m basically going to be inactive for a good 5-6 months or so until everything is finished and i’m on holiday from end of june-july till september due to the fact drawing takes up so much of my time and i have to study if i want to get to my chosen university (as i’m sure a lot of you can understand since a lot of us are students whether its high school or uni and the such)

therefore stuff will be changing about this blog, like my actual presence on here and in terms of art posting. of course im not going to be completely dead so i will pop in occasionally and if you send me a message or ask i will respond asap, but of course, bear with me on that. if you need me urgently, your best bet is twitter, i’m always active on there so i will respond immediately (unless i’m asleep but thats different)

for the most part i will be setting up a queue and posting the odd occasional life story so you know i’m not completely dead but yes, that’s the general outline on the next few months of this blog :’) and onto the art-sy bit because hey, this IS mainly an art blog so if that’s what you’re looking for the next few points are the ones you want to read~

im one of those artists who gets horrible withdrawal symptoms from not drawing too long so i can assure you there will be the odd occasional fanart popping up every now and then, most likely in the form of canvases from last year that i’ve finished up. i’ll probably be doodling a lot more this year so traditional art is available

current requests will be finished albeit slowly, i tried to get them done in the final week of my christmas holiday but due to some major personal issues i’ve struggled and have done next to nothing, but i will try my best to get them done within this month;;

requests will continue to be closed until im on summer break and even then requests are going to be limited. assuming i’ve improved my art to the stage i want it to be at, requests will be limited to two at a time and alongside it im going to start doing commissions in order to aid me a tiny bit in terms of uni funds (again, due to personal issues i’ll struggle to find a job). if commissions go well i actually plan to start hosting giveaways of merch/albums etc the sort but we’ll see how that goes first lol

of course thats only if my art has gone where i want it to, otherwise i’ll continue having an unlimited list of requests with the small possibility of commissions on the side HONESTLY who knows at this point like im happy with my art but not happy happy happy extraordinarily happy like wow bouncing off the walls ya feel

well thats pretty much it, i pooped so much stuff out that im sad that i cant do this for my school essays but thats fine ok me

i may also potentially maybe with a 45.6% possibility post fics and write more things this year since i usually do it when im writing essays or studying so like idk expect fics?? maybe??? when i muster the courage to post them i mean i already have like 5 drabbles sitting in my files with one chapter of a long fic honestly punch me im not good with words why am i doing this

The Decision: Leica SL

Thank You Leica Q!

Today is a new day, and with a painful heart I am moving on from the Leica Q to try out the Leica SL. Over the last 18 months I really have grown one with my Leica Q and it has never let me down. It has so far been the best camera experience I have ever had and as I am writing the new post I also have posted my Leica Q for sale to fund the Leica SL purchase. Finally deciding to push forward I find myself in a torn situation with a feeling of potential regret of moving on from the Leica Q. I might shed a tear but its unreasonable to have two pricey cameras. I would like to start this post with my greatest appreciation for the Leica Q, it truly is a magnificent camera, and even to this date, its still has an amazing image quality and soul to it. More than two years since its release it still hold up well with newer cameras today. Had I not decided to move to the Leica SL. I I probably would have stuck with the Q for another 2-3 years, thats just how fantastic it is and was.

Now that I have put together my intro and appreciation for the Leica Q, I will write about the reasons I have decided to make this decision. I will talk about why I decided to take the plunge on the Leica SL almost two years after its original launch date. It may look weird, being late to the party but I do have my reasons and I will explain how the two years waiting made more sense than starting with the SL two years ago. The Leica SL I own today is the SL I purchased from Steve Huff, and I appreciate the work he has done in his reviews with this camera. He himself has made a decision related to this decision, he has taken the plunge to test the waters out with the Hasselblad X1D. To support his decision, he had to sell his Leica SL, so this really is a chain reaction of decisions.

Then and Now

First and foremost, the main reason I have chosen the Leica SL now, two years since its release is around two factors. Those of you who follow my blog know that I have a philosophy when I leave the house. One camera, one lens and travelling light. The original release of the Leica SL had the gargantuan zoom lens and with this the Leica SL really did not meet my taste at the time. I am a proponent of always having your camera as moments you find in front of you are unexpected and you never know when you find that magical moment to capture with a camera. Yes the M adapter was available, but there are times that I want auto focus and there are times I am ok with using manual focus glass. But with the only option for auto focus was the 24-90 and that lens is a beast. Thus it was a no brainer at the time - Go with the Leica Q.

Firmware 3.0!

Another reason with moving to the Leica SL at this time is that the camera has had its time to mature, and with firmware 3.0 release you can really see how the Leica team has dedicated its team to ensuring that this camera improves and continues to deliver features that pro photographers need. These firmware releases have not been minor releases but significant amount of new enhancements. I know for a fact that with this, I have a camera that is mature for all the paces I need from it.

Weight Factor

As you all know, portability and travel are important to how I use a camera. And for travel the Leica Q was absolutely fantastic. Light and on the go. This particular factor in my decision with the Leica SL was thoroughly thought through as I did not want a heavy camera to lug around the world as I travel. I like to travel light, with one lens when I walk around the city so that I do not ruin my experience and worry about lugging around pounds of camera weight on my neck. But two areas eased my decision here, one using the M adapter with M glass, the SL was not that far off from the Q. About 1 lb of a difference right now with the Zeiss 50mm 1.5 Sonnar that I have on it. The other decision that put me over the top was the Summicron lineup and seeing the lens body renditions, I noticed that the lens was significantly smaller than the current 50mm prime for the SL. Finally! Getting a lighter lens on the SL with autofocus put me over the top.

Summicron is coming

One of the most exciting things that has pushed me to go with the Leica SL is the upcoming Summicron lineup that is soon to release. For me, this is a really good time to start with the Leica SL as the vision/roadmap of lenses that will take this camera to a new level is upon us. The soon to release 75mm APO Summicron and the 35mm Summicron have me excited. The form factor looks to be way smaller and lighter than the 50mm prime and from what the engineers are saying the performance is going to be taken to another level. Sharpness from the 50 APO legendary lens with depth of field of a summilux. Apparently this depth of field is something we have never seen before, 2.0 sharpness but 1.4 bokeh. Just by that alone, if they really pull that off, I mean wow I will be fully sold on the Leica SL. I am a 35mm shooter by heart so, that particular lens is whats keeps me excited and already working with my Leica dealer to be first in line.

If you have seen the roadmap image from Leica, the Summicron lineup is to be released as a family of lenses for the Leica SL and there are a couple more lenses to be announced in FY 2018. The investment Leica is putting into this camera tells me that this is a good spot to be in. With all the lessons learned the Leica Engineering team is putting into these new glass, the richness we already have with the Leica SL will be even greater. Camera sensor is one piece of the puzzle, but having new amazing glass really excites me!

Whats to come?

This is just the beginning of posts and experiences I will share moving forward with my Leica SL. So far the images I have taken have amazed me, the richness and 3D pop with this camera is truly amazing. I can see how Steve Huff had this as his camera of the year last year. Over the next 6 months I will likely blog about my experience on using the Leica SL with M lenses, particularly the Zeiss 50mm 1.5 Sonnar, while I wait for the new Summicron line. I chose this particular lens because of the soul it portrays. It's gotten mixed reviews because of being soft, but so far if you nail the focus, its sharp enough. This lens though has a dreamy old school look to it given the lens design is a classical Zeiss lens design, creating a very old school look which with the Leica SL has been fantastic.

I will likely spend the next 6-8 month writing about the SL with M lenses, then once the new summicron lenses are available give my first impressions of those lenses. This will be a long term review and long term journey with this camera and I hope to give all of you insight into my journey and advice using the Leica SL.
