“…Why did we bring G.G. again?” “Because I was the last one who saw them! And they actually like me!” What was going on? Why couldn’t they move?

“I see them, through the t-t-trees!” Footsteps? Were they found at last? Ooh, those hands are cold… “Data! Data wake up!” The Jon? Did he come looking for them? That was nice of him… Data tried to come out of stasis but stayed dead still, only a faint hiss of steam coming from their air vents. Why couldn’t they wake up? Eventually their eyes flickered open, but they still couldn’t move, staring up at everyone’s worried faces. The Spine gave them a little shake.

“Data, blink if you can hear us!” They blinked rapidly, but kept staring blankly, “I don’t think they can move.” Hatchworth gently held their shoulders and their gaze flickered to watch him. Data was gently lifted off the ground, supported by Zer0, The Jon and Rabbit, although The Jon more or less just wanted to feel like he was helping. This feels so weird… they all look so worried about me.. “Maybe when Six fixes them, he can sort out their memory problem!” The Jon chirped, grinning warmly down at them, and Data felt a little better about their situation, even if G.G. was currently using them her own personal chariot. The Jon glanced at Data expectantly and they blinked back at him, causing the little gold robot to smile slightly.

Eventually, they made it back to the Manor and placed down gently on a work table in the workshop, forced to stare up at the ceiling in silence, “you need to pull a lever Six, just on the inside of that heart hole- oh there you go” Data’s chest hatch sprang open and Six began rummaging around, Data being unable to squirm away from the ticklish sensations. He produced their blueprints and opened up their boiler, filling it with water. Sensation slowly creeped into their arms and legs, but they closed their eyes, knowing what would be next. “So you want me to try and see why you’re having low memory problems? It means I’ll have to turn you off for a little while.” Data nodded with a creak of their head, and opened their eyes just in time to watch Six reach his hand behind their head and press the button on the back of their head, their systems shutting down.

If the bots fell down from an extreme height comically, then

Zer0 would cause the most damage to the area around him. About as much as a small bomb. He’ll break through the ground a bit, but he’ll be able to get out just fine.

The Spine, weighing a bunch but being very slender, would pierce through the ground. Not causing a lot of damage to the area around him, but he’ll be stuck deep underground.

Rabbit, despite the laws of gravity, would float down majestically thanks to her dress. She also uses her skeleton of an umbrella to look even more delicate.

Hatchworth would shatter all over the place. He’s fine, but he’ll be the most difficult one for the Walter Workers to deal with.

The Jon would fall right on his face like a bellyflop. He won’t cause any damage except maybe internally.

Upgrade will land on The Jon. Not the most painless route, but significantly less painful than almost everyone else.

Here’s how painful it’d be for each of them from least to most.

12. What's the funniest or craziest AU idea you've ever come up with?

I have in total, three AUs I have to finally write anything for fhasfsa (I do plan on posting Tales AU first chapter this week tho!!). 1) RHYS AI AU is something you saw me post snippets of - in general, it's an alternative version of Borderlands 2, where Jack kills Lilith and Roland very quickly and survives. Due to mourning for Nisha, Wilhelm and Angel, he one day writes code for a companion based on an imaginary friend he had but also, gives him some trait of each one of those he misses. While Rhys was going to slowly become the silly personality we know and love, this was my typical 'give the character therapy when they don't want it, and end up with them hurting someone else and trying to change'. 2) JUST WING IT AU is my Tales AU that starts with changes in ep 5, with how Rhys handles the news about Jack wanting to get that exoskeleton in him and focusing on exploring Jack's loneliness and adding him as the third character, making sort of second season for the game. The additional driving point would be that Loader Bot would be able to grab Gortys and run off with her, so the search for Vault would become longer Yet the AU I really hope to start exploring in the future, is this one: 3) Loss of what once happened but never before AU. It's a Borderlands 3 Rhack au that would focus on Rhys finding out he is a siren with huge time-travelling powers and the costs that come with it. He would turn back in time, when Jack was still known as John during the nights, and watch some of the consequences happen in the present during the day. He doesn't know though just how strong the butterfly effect will be...

13. What's a character or ship you haven't written/drawn yet but would like to someday?

Characters: Timothy, Angel, Nisha, Zer0, Katagawa, Axton, Moxxi, Lilith, Roland

22. Give us headcanons for Rhys

He actually likes fashion and likes casual official style in general.

He has a sweet tooth but pretends to like spicy food in college.

He actually had a heterochromia before the echo eye and decided to keep it.

He admired Jack a bit but he laughed at psycho fans, as he has some critical thinking.

Even a few years after getting Atlas running again, he still tries to make some guns himself, even if he doesn't have as much time.

He was the one dumped by his ex girlfriend even if he didn't like their dynamic because he was actually scared nobody else would be into him.

He spends a lot of time in the morning preparing his hair. It's quite wavy which gets visible in wetter climates but fortunately for him, he lives mostly in dry ones.

He met Katagawa and at first, couldn't believe he had a fan even if he had some boosted ego but felt something off about him. He turned off an invitation to Zanara because he still thinks about his talk with Vaughn about being good at faking cool. That's why he is even more awkward in future games, since while chasing the younger years, he wants to show he matured, hoping that maybe that will bring Sasha back. That's also why he got the moustache - to show he is becoming more serious. Which fails miserably.

He seemed the most confident in his new Atlas CEO stage because he had to look like it. There was nobody else to help him at the time, so he tried his best to do what he had done - acted the plan out.

He still imagines his plans the same way he did in Tales - with fantasies.

Well, that's all SMG3 could make of it. Wearing a watch just never really seemed too practical, considering that he would never need to know the time here. He just needed to go through his schedule. Was it a schedule, actually? No, more of…an instruction manual.

STRIKE MAP GUARDIAN 3 (Suction-Cup Lookout - Octoling Strike)

Always be on the lookout for members of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, especially their latest recruit, Agent Four.

If an NSS Agent is seen, immediately alert all Octoling soldiers around the map to guard the Mini Zapfish. Your map is Octoling Strike, a replica of the Inkling battle map "The Reef", and you should remain hidden in one of the many buildings around the map. Avoid engaging in battle at all costs.

If the map's soldiers are defeated, you must rush them to the nearest Respawn platforms as quickly as you can. Release at least ten Squee-Gs and evacuate until the map is cleared of all ink before sending the Octolings back in.

If confronted with no escape, we have supplied you with one weapon from our limited supply. Treat it with care, and do not break it.

Yeah, Four knew. Mario really didn't need to tell him that, but whatever. Not like he could just tell his boss to get off the line.

Agent Four, the newest NSS Agent, sighed. "I can't believe they're still trying to steal our power! Who are they even working for anyway?…I thought Zer0 was captured. Safely this time."

Luigi, the brother who originally recruited him, thought for a second. "W-well, we don't really know…since, m-most of them left, or we freed… It could be the ones that aren't free yet?"

That was kind of solid, Four thought, Maybe he's onto something. Hey, wait- is he right?… The blue-haired Inkling squinted at the Octolings. Are they still wearing Hypnoshades?

"Is it okay if I try something a little different?" he asked the brothers. They hesitated for a moment before Mario said yes, because they knew that even if he was splatted, he had a few lives left on this janky Respawn platform. Also, Mario liked dangerous stunts and chaos.

Four grinned. "Okay. Now let's see who's behind this all!"

First, he grabbed Belle's (Sheldon's) drone and turned off the Superjump target. Which was probably the most dangerous thing an Inkling can do, but that didn't matter, he had extra lives! Now it was time to launch himself at high speeds to a random spot in this place where he could end up anywhere from exactly where he needed to be to an Octarian dumpster in the city below.

Goddammit, that fucking hurt. Not really, since Inklings are strong, but yeah…who would've expected this? Who could've possibly expected that with infinite possibilities, one of them could be crashing through the side of a fucking building-

"AGENT 4! A-ARE YOU OKAY?!" Luigi was terrified, and for good reason. This was uncharted territory for the NSS…an Octarian city…

Wait, no. It was just one of those fake buildings the Octarians made to mimic The Reef. No wonder it was so empty.

Whoa. Four didn't think he would find one of these little guys so unguarded…why was its capsule just sitting here?

"[Inkling.]"

He felt the uncomfortable sensation of ink that wasn't his own color touching him.

An Octobrush, and an Octarian…holding it to the side of his face. More specifically, an Octoling with violet tentacles, wielding a rather powerful-looking brush stained with magenta ink… definitely not a soldier, but what?

Carp. How would he even get out of this?

"[What's one of YOUR KIND doing here?]" the Octoling screeched. "[You've taken EVERYTHING. Our electricity, our king, our time, our LIVES. And you have the NERVE-]" he harshly glared at the Inkling- "[-to just BARGE INTO my workspace?! You…you absolute fucking dipshit!]"

Uh oh, that Octoling sounded…mad… Four thought.

Which was why it was horrible…that the Agent didn't understand a single word of the Runic that was being spoken.

"U-uuh, you're completely mistaken!" he exclaimed. "I-I'm one of you! Definitely! See, I…I knew the way here!" Four's eyes darted around the room for a second before he pointed at the hole in the wall. "Oh, wait…"

Yeah, he was not making it out of here alive. He just…uh…had to listen to this guy monologue for another minute before the sweet release of death- well, not really, since the whole Respawn platform thing. Wow…this guy will just not shut up. He must never get to monologue to anyone, that sounds…sad. :(

"[…And finally, after SO MANY defeats…we- no, I will strike you down, Agent Four!]" the Octoling yelled. "[Since I'm Strike Map Guardian 3, or SMG3, I've always felt like it has been my duty to…]"

Okay, this was actually kind of sad now. When will he stop…

Wait, 'SMG3'? That didn't sound like a word in Runic, Square, or Round…sure, maybe it was in Halfmoon, Bold, or Sign, but probably not since those were Inkling languages. Was that…his name?

He did hear about some Octarians from Beaker's Depot not having proper names.

"Uh- th-that's…cool! I'm sorry, but I have to get going…yeah…I'm totally one of you guys, so I have evil crap to do! My name is SMG4!" He weakly smiled. "Can I…"

SMG3 was not impressed. No one would be, though, the only thing really impressive about this was Agent Four's sheer stupidity. Lying to an Octoling. As an Inkling. About being an Octoling. While speaking in an Inkling language. Fucking idiot.

It wasn't a surprise when the Map Guardian finally smacked Agent Four to the ground with his Octobrush, leaving the Inkling with barely any HP… but he was still alive, and mildly annoyed now. "Hey! What was that for?! I listened to your villain monologue…"

At this point, Mario was done with just listening in silence. "Agent Four! You've gone coo-coo crazy if you think you can still get out of this! USE VIOLENCE!"

Unfortunately, it was loud enough for SMG3 to hear. Suddenly, his Hypnoshades flashed a bright red and he raised his Octobrush. "NO!" Mario screamed. "THOSE RESPAWN POINTS COST A FORTUNE IN POWER EGGS TO USE! YOU CAN'T DIE!"

Agent Four quickly shifted into his Squid form and began charging up an attack, deciding to try out that new Splatlandian technique. SEEK AND DESTROY

He swung his brush just a millisecond too late. He didn't want to. He had to. But why he did wasn't what mattered, the only thing that mattered now was that he would never be ordered around like this anymore. Blue ink stained his face, and he heard the Zapfish's capsule being shattered. The lights shut off in the building, leaving only the light coming in through the window from the screens that lined the Octoling Strike map's dome.

SMG3 heard the rush of ink that told him that Agent Four had launched himself out of the building, and probably the Octoling Strike map too. Everything was so much…clearer now, for some reason, the sights and sounds in reality.

A pair of Hypnoshades lay on the ground in front of him, cracked, flickering, broken.
