nghm okay my take on the neuvillette 'ships' is that they're...all kinda boring? theres a lot of interesting dynamics to explore dont get me wrong but for all of them romance is the least interesting option lol. first is because i dont think he's romantically-inclined by nature (aroace king) but also he intentionally tries to keep people at arms length because of his position as iudex (so even if he has friendly connections i cant see anything 'more' than that actually working out) .
however the most interesting juxtaposition for his character imo is being so filled with love for the world and the people around him and simulataneously not experiencing 'love' in the way a lot of people traditionally understand it. he loves people so deeply no he does not want to pursue any of them romantically. it doesnt even have anything to do with him being a dragon, he's just like that.

Danny raises Superman au
So we all know that Superman touched down in Kansas and was adopted by the Kents and bla bla bla. But you know what state also has farms and is only like 600 miles away? Illinois.
So Danny is chilling in the countryside, enjoying his sweet, peaceful early retirement when an alien pod, that's a little a lot off course, suddenly crashes near his house. When he checks it out, there's a baby inside. Welp looks like he's a father now. No way is he risking the government getting their greedy little mits on this precious ray of sunshine.
Clark grows up with a father who teaches him early on how to control his powers and use them for good (They may or may not stop a robbery or two occasionally). He also gets two cool aunts. One is free spirited and always bringing him souvenirs from her travels. The other is very grounded and teaches him many techniques to deal with his conflicting emotions (his father is not happy when he uses said techniques on him).
Danny for his part is happy we his son develops a support system like he did. They can even actively help him beat up the villains! He's overjoyed at the man Clark becomes and even happier when he brings home an ace reporter who knows how shifty the government can be. He might be already saving up for their wedding but who can say?

to be clear, I think Rose Tyler being an often-selfish character is great. I think it's great because real women are selfish. Real women get petty. Real women hear their ex boyfriend say he's going out with a mutual acquaintance and get unfairly jealous and real women then say things like "she's a bit big" when they shouldn't and they have no right. Real women can be monsters, and Rose Tyler is relatable and I love how she is written and I love her, thanks for listening

I love how Saiki’s creator introduced Satou the moment he expresses onscreen that yes, he finds Teruhashi’s advances annoying but he ofc care about her. It really went—
Them: *le GASP* He does care about her DoES tHaT MeAn—!?
Creator: Do you think he’s reciprocating? Fools. Meet his standard.

one thing i really love about humans is that we laugh when we are alone. there is no one to show our delight to, no one who we must perform for, no social cue to politely pick up on, and yet, when reading a book, watching a movie, seeing something funny happen outside the window, we laugh. we laugh not because we have to or because we have learned to, but because it is our natural reaction to joy. we laugh because we want to

was thinking more about youkai-ification while in the shower, and you know what's the best part of it, IMO?
not realizing it's happening.
it starts off with small subtle personality changes, which could be noticeable to any of your friends, but to you? it's so slow that for you it's just your new normal. you've always been like this, right?
you don't notice that anything is different until one day when you look in the mirror and realize that your eyes haven't always been red.
what else might have changed? can you even tell?

one of my fave things about teaching is that I’m NOT a counselor and I don’t have to get into the weeds with a student but also I’m part of their life every day and i see when they’re struggling and I can ask how them how they’re doing and make sure that they know I see them on a steady, daily basis and it will be healing for both of us

First of all in the new fallen hero revelations demo, I absolutely love armadillo (I have said that I was looking forward to sidestep meeting other non-cuckoo regenes and this meeting already lived up to a lot of my expectations) (really excited to see how this plays out)
Second of all I think that little aside of how there are no gendered pronouns in the re-gene language and how only cuckoos learned to apply them is really interesting and funny (as well as another point in the murderbot-breq-sidestep compare and contrast schema in my head). Since it further emphasizes the connection between being seen as a person and performing gender correctly, but also it is a funny difference between the normal regenes and the cuckoo.
Like I think that it explains some of the complexes surrounding gender sidestep has. What if when training you were the only one getting comments like that really that kick wasn’t very ladylike or you need to start punching like a man. All the other regenes barely know what gender is and sidestep has to pass the weekly ‘Men and Women: What are They? And How To Behave and Interact Like One’ exam.

the main problem I've had with trying to do 'your PC as other races' art is that when other people have done it, including ryoko kui's changeling comparisons, they always keep the character's original palette-- and that ends up being an immediate stumbling block for me when the first place I'd be inclined to start is with Elyss, whose main point of difference from an ordinary human is that she is green

last post about it before i go on a walk for the day but alongside the usual art and pricy desireables i think in any poke au dark'd end up with a reputation for stealing pokemon too. it's distinctly alarming and immensely villainous on the surface which dark needs (so that people like riku can hate and misunderstand his motives) but just like in canon he only steals them from neglectful and abusive situations and to shelter them under the niwa family's name. the family basement of the mansion should remain a 20+, infinite underground floor paradise for the pokemon. dark continues to not explain himself as he is still very much breaking all sorts of laws, but this hidden detail would still be Crucial to his characterization.

Okay look I get that Makoto is a big time happy and swell guy with an upmost determination more than anyone else that's enough to give the world a small light in the dark tunnel they been trapped in for so long, how his stubborn will is enough to not let Junko and the despair seeped into his heart and only because he cares too much for others to let it get to him now.
But Im TELLING YOU that the moment he cried, FOR THE FIRST TIME ON SCREEN, is when he was finally alone walking down the crumbling hallway away from Kyoko's body and the others. Full. Blown. In legit TEARS. I am convinced that this is probably NOT the first time, for him to just let it all out when he was fully all alone where only he himself can see.
It may not be frequent, heck it may be rarely even. Because of his usual strong will and hopeful, inspiring demeanor. But my GOD do I WANT to see him just cry all alone hurt/no comfort style where things are finally managed to slip into the cracks of his walls.
To just stand outside under the rain thinking how there are probably still be more bodies he didn't managed to find to be properly buried, there are probably some that was stuck under and inside the abandoned or fallen buildings he missed and was left rotten and dry without the rain water to wash their bloods, dust, and dirt that marked as their sorrow and pain away.
Not me saying a lot more stuff in the tags anrnenfjjf why cant I do that in the main post--

not going to watch ms marvel or engage with it at all but i’m definitely curious about Who Exactly decided Kamela’s power should come from Djinn and who decided to have Nakia look like that
Because whoever made those decisions knows exactly what they’re doing. Trying to make Muslim immigrants stomachable for white audiences and in doing so removing the aspects of religion and culture that defined so many characters in this series and moreover define us as people
