I feel like I've posted her a lot but never really introduced her properly, so

Hiii this is Orphée, my main and beloved Ni no Kuni oc. She's a wizard who resides in the Tombstone Trail and rarely ever really left it. (Excuse my lorebending I do that often) Shadar decided to keep her around and raised her to be a one-woman equivalent to the great sages, as to help protect the world in the way he wanted to.

Even after the events of nnk, Orphée still isn't really sure Why people didn't like Shadar or why what he did was bad, as she always knew it as him protecting the world. She still doesn't use the Bad magic though, she knows people would get upset if she did.

I can supply her full lore + Marcassin bs on request lmao

Also this is Tristana, her soulmate. She's nice I love her she's based in Rockabilly

Orfeu (Orpheé, de Jean Cocteau)

Não me considero apto a comentar cinema francês, mas sabe quando um filme causa uma impressão tão boa que você fica tentando traduzir seus sentimentos positivos por ele em palavras úteis por DIAS?

Nada mais explica a forma como me sinto em relação a esse filme, que tive vontade de assistir de novo assim que terminei de ver. Ele é um daqueles que botei na lista da Cyndi Lauper, pois inspirou o visual de True Colors, e é um take novo na história grega clássica.

O legal de Orfeu é o uso de simbolismos e de elementos visuais e narrativos pra falar sobre o quanto um artista se sacrifica por sua obra. Como o próprio narrador diz, é uma história de muitos significados, e pode até ser vista como um romance sobrenatural — alguém que se apaixona pela morte, que aqui é representada por uma mulher mega atraente —, mas que há uma profundidade que vale a pena ser observada.

O uso dos espelhos como porta pela qual a morte vem e vai, uma metáfora visual sobre como este objeto é usado para refletir nossa aparência naquele momento, e consequentemente, nosso envelhecimento (ou seja, nossa aproximação da morte natural) é simplesmente algo que explodiu meu cérebro, tamanha a genialidade.

Quero um dia poder escrever algo mais útil sobre esse filme, mas até lá, saibam que vi Orfeu e que gostei muito. E que você deveria assistir também.
