how come you do post much about gaza?
assuming you meant don't*? because this makes no sense otherwise? anyway
that you don't see my activism doesn't mean it isn't happening. tumblr is a terrible platform for activism, so I don't use it for that
#i won't pull up donation receipts for a fuckign tumblr anon#i won't sit here and try to explain that tumblr activism is typically restrained to tumblr. people rb the posts and never do anything else#people here notoriously do not click on links#so what i do. what i donate. where i protest. my household's boycotting. i do it and i talk to people about it but i don't do it here#because it won't do jack shit here and i'm trying to connect with people who might actually participate. for tangible results#sorry if that sounds Angry. it's because it is.#if y'all want to free palestine then you have to participate more than just reblogging. boosting voices is good but it takes more than that#tumblr rbs don't put pressure on politicians. they don't fund relief efforts. they don't pay for esims. they don't demonstrate organized#support for palestine in a Visible Manner to your city or state or country#they aren't disruptive#that's why you don't see me post on here. i'm trying to concentrate my efforts where they might do something#NOW. before you come for my throat. obviously there is nothing wrong with circulating posts about aid and resources to help#but then you should really consider like. contributing to those resources. that's key. that's the point. and some people here do! great!#i just. am more likely to be able to find and reach people who do in other places#maybe i should've said all that in the post instead of the tags but i really don't want to bring a bunch of misunderstanding down on myself#asks answered#'i wont sit here and explain' and then i did. damn

It's been twenty-three years since the isolated Terran planets found themselves visited by extraterrestrials and joined a much livelier galaxy. While many have seen the boon, just as many have seen nothing but grief and heartache. You are one of those people. Your greeting into this world is one marred by blood and death, and little has changed since that faithful day. If you weren't bowing the knee to your trarkran masters, then you were to the notorious criminal organization that tortured you into submission. But for the first time in over a decade, a fortuitous kind of freedom finds itself just inches away from your grasp, ready to be claimed. The question is, what will you do once you have it, and what will come of those who would see you lose it once again?
Genre: Sci-Fi | Fantasy | Adventure
Rating: Mature for dark themes, language, sexual content
Tumblr media
Create your unique character by choosing sex, pronouns, appearance, orientation, and different attractiveness levels.
Specific traits that will change how you react to others. As well as traits that will change how specific characters see you.
Choose between 6 romances: two females, two males, and two non-binary characters.
Four different classes, along with an assortment of armor and weapons, each with its own benefits.
And many other decisions for a unique, branching experience.
Determine for yourself if you will you go down the path that leads to your own redemption and growth or stay the course?
Relive your past and how it not only led you here but how it will impact your future.
*Click the link attached to "romances" to read more about the six romances available.

Public Demo encapsulates the first three chapters.
There is no set date on the full upload of this story. At the moment the book is set to have two books. A cost has not yet been determined.
Quick Note: Similar to Throne of Ashes, this character you play, Moran, has some personalities and characteristics that are already predetermined. Let it be known, you do not trust easily and have learned to put yourself first. This, of course with redemption, can shift, but this is not automatic and is on purpose.
Any bugs can be sent to the email below or sent to Tumblr. Check the link here for some common issues that may be found such as the game not allowing you to save or a specific save error is appearing.

I don't really know what messages young people in this country absorb about the Civil War these days.
When I was a kid the mainstream centrist narrative, one that I think was pushed in schools and was definitely pushed in pop culture, went something like this:
"We modern people understand that slavery was wrong. But it is a mistake to judge the people of past times based on modern psychology or morals; rather, we must understand them as people of their times, who understood their world in a way fundamentally differently then we do, so far in the future.
"During the late 18th and early 19th century, slavery was simply not a very important issue, either morally or politically, and it certainly didn't play into the civil war in any real important fashion. The idea of slavery as a moral issue is a modern-day viewpoint, and while it is morally correct, we simply cannot project those moral sensibilities back into a world where they didn't exist.
"The Civil War was a fought as the culmination of a complex, somewhat abstruse political debate about whether power should reside primarily in separate states or within the federal government, and while it is tragic that this debate caused a war, both sides of that debate had valid reasons for taking their position."
Do they still teach that kind of thing to kids these days?
Because the more I learn the more I realize what incredible horseshit that story was.
Here, for example, is John Quincy Adams, in 1838:
"Midway through the filibuster, on June 30, Adams responded to an interruption by South Carolina representative Francis Wilkinson Pickens and described a notorious incident from the previous year.
I do not doubt in the least that he is, himself, a kind and indulgent master; so, I doubt not, are all the gentlemen who represent his State on this floor. They know not the horrors that belong to the system, and attend it even in their own State; and when they are stated by those who have witnessed them, he calls the whole a tissue of misrepresentation. . . . He does not know the profligate villain who procreates children from his slaves, and then sells his own children as slaves. He does not know the crushing and destruction of all the tenderest and holiest ties of nature which that system produces, but which I have seen, with my own eyes, in this city of Washington. Twelve months have not passed since a woman, in this District, was taken with her four infant children, and separated from her husband, who was a free man, to be sent away, I know not where. That woman, in a dungeon in Alexandria, killed with her own hand two of her children, and attempted to kill the others. She was tried for murder, and, to the honor of human nature I say it, a jury was not to be found in the District who would find her guilty. . . . The woman was asked how she could perpetrate such an act, for she had been a woman of unblemished character and of pious sentiments. She replied that wrong had been done to her and to them; that she was entitled to her freedom though she had been sold to go to Georgia and that she had sent her children to a better world.
I recommend clicking through that link and reading about what Adams said about that case in his diary.
In general, that website, Story of The Week, has a number of excellent and readable primary sources about slavery and racism in America, and they particularly demonstrate that the Abolition movement objected to slavery for exactly the reasons that we now object to it today: That it was unspeakably cruel to separate children from their mothers and husbands from wives; that men should be allowed to profit from their own work, rather than having the proceeds stolen; that slave owners would rape their female slaves and sell their own children.
I'm just amazed at how much energy America has put into lying to itself about its own history.

Template to send to EA regarding Paywallers.
Hey y'all! I had an anon ask about this, so I wrote this up real quick for anyone who doesn't have the time or ability to pen a long thing to send to EA about the paywallers. Feel free to change it up as much as you'd like, add even more paywallers (highly recommend this), do whatever you want, let's REPORT REPORT REPORT 💖
How to report:
To report Mods, give us the details right here on EA Help:
Click Contact Us from any page on EA Help.
We recommend logging in to your EA Account.
Select The Sims 4. If needed, use the search bar to find the game.
Select your Platform.
For Topic, select Report concerns or harassment.
For Issue, choose Report website.
From here, you’ll open a webform to let us know more about what happened. Please provide a link to the Mods you think break the rules, and as much detail as you can about why. Your report will be reviewed by our team.
Then you just enter your name/email (which isn't shared with anyone but EA)
Here's my lil template! THIS HAS BEEN CENSORED. In my actual report I listed their full names, and patreon/tumblr pages. I HIGHLY recommend you check out mack3030's anti perma paywall posts. Give EA as MUCH info as you can on this. The more of us that report the better off we'll be. Also i borrowed a little bit of wording from @myshunosun (the distribution and installation part) sorry but it sounded nice and I couldn't think of how else to phrase it.
My Template:
I made the subject "Custom Content in the Sims community- perma paywallers"
"Hello there, my name is ______, and I have been an avid sims fan and consumer for MANY years. It has recently come to my attention that EA has released an official article on the distribution and installation of mods and custom content. It states to reach out if we find any mods that go against the guidelines in this article. As a community, we know of MANY people who permanently lock their custom content behind what we call 'paywalls', which means simmers have NO access to them unless they pay. This is clearly against EA's policies and I would now like to report them to you in the hopes that you will not let this continue any longer. As someone who has already spent hundreds on this game and franchise, I believe it is wrong in so many ways to lock content using EA's intellectual property/program/meshes behind paywalls when it is clearly against your policy. Following is a list of some of the most notorious paywallers in the community.
S*xamcc
currently makes over 10k a month from perma paywalling their custom content. They have removed thier public patron amount due to the backlash they have received. This is unacceptable when EA CLEARLY states that mods are NOT to be sold. This creator will continue to lock all of their content behind paywalls until someone stops them.
Other perma paywallers:
antos*ms, bergd*rf, cowbu*ld, P*xel V*bes
Thank you so much for reading my report and taking what we as a community have been against for so long seriously. I greatly hope that you look at these reports and do something about these creators."

Where Do I Start?
Hint: It's not with D&D's 5th Edition.
If you’re looking to break into tabletop roleplaying games, you might be feeling like you’re trying to drink water from a firehose, or worse.
My recommendation?
Stay the f*ck away from Dungeons & Dragons, at least the three-volume set spanning over 1,000 pages. Instead, try something lighter.
Not convinced? I don’t blame ya.
Why lighter? you might be asking.
Lighter rulesets allow us to get our bearings, understand some fundamental concepts, and avoid being excluded long before we try to enter the hobby.
Still not convinced?
Think about it this way: When you were a kid, did you just jump on your bike, start peddling, and go a few dozen miles on
Think about it this way, too: You’ve probably played chess, poker, or any number of games. That’s great! You’ve probably played computer roleplaying games. That’s also great.
However, these aren’t the same as playing face-to-face, virtually, or otherwise, a game where you take on a single persona, sometimes more and sometimes other unusual things, interact with other players and their personas and deal with the conflicts and obstacles thrown at you by a referee, game master, or Dungeon Master.
In some roleplaying games, you might play as the player characters (PCs) and the referee. In any case, your imagination, and your ability to think through, play, and experiment is key. Some of these you’ve honed in other games. On the tabletop, you’ll bring them to bear.
These are different in that tabletop roleplaying games require players to go beyond simply clicking the right place, punching in the right combos, or laying down cards in a particular order. You need to think short- and long-term. Death is (mostly) permanent in many roleplaying games—no reloading saves to avoid death (although that should be a mechanic somewhere). You, as a player, need to rely on social skills, such as communication, playing nice, and collaboration with others. You’ll also need to think in terms of mechanics—how does this impact my play in-game, how can I use this to my advantage, etc.? You must manage resources, roleplay, problem-solve, and think creatively and critically to keep adventuring.
Roleplaying games can be easy, and they can be difficult to tackle. The best advice I can give, as an on-again, off-again player is this: Be prepared to fail, die, and have challenges. Also: Be active, negotiate, and make it an enjoyable experience for everyone by being there in the moment.
Where would I start now that roleplaying games have a bit more limelight?
I’d look for the freebies or the under $5/$10 (or whatever is cheaper in your local currency) games. The best places to start are the online quad: Itch.io¸ DriveThruRPG, Indie Press Revolution, and Exalted Funeral.
You also have Amazon and Lulu with some great indie games on those marketplaces, and you can never go wrong seeking out a local or regional game shop. With the COVID era behind us, some of these game shops have opted to sell online and deliver as well (keep an eye out for these shops).
Skim whatever you find, and then start playing with whoever is willing to go along for the ride—there are more out there these days than when I started, and it’s a great aspect of the hobby.
Need some suggestions? Here are a few to get you started (and, no, they aren’t D&D’s 5th edition):
Lasers & Feelings– Loads of people have hacked this game. The original rules are on it (click on the title for the direct link). Great for Star Trek-style games, space opera, and more. Easy to learn and play. Also: Easy to hack for homebrew games and long-term campaigns.
Breathless (Games) – The vast majority of the games built using the Breathless system are inexpensive, lightweight, super hackable, and friendly for beginners (click on the title for the whole catalog).
Cairn– For that classic D&D experience without the rules bloat.
Sherwood– A mixture of medieval fantasy, Robin Hood mythology, and arcane secrets unleashed.
Notorious — A fun science fiction game, with a recent expansion, that has you playing the notorious bounty hunters in a space opera universe similar to Star Wars.
Mothership – Uses a classic d100/particle die system. It’s a great intro to sci-fi OSR games that are easy to learn, play, and hack to meet any group or player's needs.
Ronin – An excellent solo roleplaying game.
Black Hack (Games) – Classic game hack of the original-ish Dungeons & Dragons, which includes sci-fi, fantasy, cyberpunk, and modern hacks of the original rules from The Black Hack (1st and 2nd editions).
P.S. All links above are not affiliate links. Happy exploring!

Car Crash Meet Cute. audio script.
Tumblr media
If we're not in peril, are we even trying to fall in love?
Expect me to repost with links if anyone actually performs this script as an audio in the future!
tags: car accident, minor injury, definitely could have died, meet cute in peril, older siblings friend
Car Crash Script
[cracking trees]
[muffled radio glitching]
[muffled engine running]
[rain patter]
[all sounds waving in and out before focusing]
[creaking trees as the car slides a little more]
[voice muffled from outside the door] Hey! Hey, can you hear me?
Are you awake? Can you hear me?
Don’t move! You were in a crash but you’re going to be okay.
Hang on, I’m going to open the door slowly…
[door creaking open, wet forest sounds]
[breathing hard] Hang on, okay? Don’t move until I figure out… Shit…
Hm? No, I wasn’t in the car that hit you, but I saw it… When you went off the road and into the trees, I thought… Well, I thought you’d gone right off the mountain.
No, you’re not going off the edge. I’m getting you out, okay? It looks like these trees are holding the weight of the car but…
[creaking/snapping trees, radio cuts out]
I don’t think we can wait for help…
[creaking trees]
I’m going to reach in and undo your seatbelt, okay? I don’t want you to move yet.
[breathing close]
[seatbelt click]
[car groans]
[still close] Okay, I’m going to count to three and you’re going to hug me.
[laughs a little] Yeah, I climbed all the way down here just to trick you into hugging me. I’m going to count to three and then I’m pulling you out of the car, okay?
[car groans and trees crack]
Shhh, it’s okay. It’s okay.
One.
Two.
Three. [sharp inhale, pulling listener out of the wreck and falling to the side]
[tree snapping and car rolling off the cliff]
[heavy breathing, rain patter]
Are you okay? Yeah? [smiling]
Does anything feel broken?
That’s good. You’ve got a cut on your head there, but you look okay. Can you wiggle your arms?
And your feet?
Great. Can you stand?
Take it slow, I’ve got you. We’re not in a hurry anymore.
Don’t-Don’t look off the drop… [worried, listener realizing they almost died] Yeah, if you’d gone over… But you didn’t. You’re okay.
Hey. Look at me.
You’re okay.
Do you want… Is it okay if I hug you?
Yeah? Okay. [hugs] Deep breaths. You’re going to have a great story to tell when you get home tonight.
[laughs a little] Yeah, I’ll give you a ride. I’m not going to run all the way down here to pull you out of a car just to leave you by the side of the road when we climb back out.
Do you feel up to walking? Okay, but if anything starts hurting or you feel sick, let me know, okay? We’ll stop.
I called for help on my way down but I lost connection and we’re almost at the top of the pass. I don’t know how long it’ll take for someone to get out here. When we get closer to the road, I can call again and find out, but you’re going to get cold if we wait around down here.
[laughs] Okay, you got me, I’ll get cold too.
[walking, foliage rustling and rain drops] Just straight up this way. Your car cleared us a path.
What? No. I did what anyone would have done.
Okay, yeah, anyone but that asshole that knocked you off the road and then kept going…
I didn’t get the license plate, but I got the make and model. We’ll file reports when we get to the road. Don’t worry.
So, where were you headed?
Really? Looks like we live in the same town.
All your life?
Oh no… That means we have to know some of the same people. What was our name?
[laughs] Are you related to Alex? No! You’re the notorious kid sibling?
Oh, you are definitely notorious… I can’t believe I didn’t recognize you. I mean, you’ve grown a lot. I think the last time I saw you, you were a freshman in high school.
Alex was painfully clear about none of us being allowed to even talk about you, let alone look at you. One of our friends said he thought he saw you at a café once and Alex sprayed him with a can of beer and kicked him out of the apartment for a week.
It doesn’t matter that it’s been years since high school. Alex is weirdly private about family stuff and super protective of you.
You really didn’t know?
But you knew about that bully you had freshman year, right?
Yeah, that junior that kept pulling your hair and pushing you…
You thought he just stopped one day on his own?
Well, yeah, he apologized… After we threw him in the pool. Alex went on a fucking rampage that year to make sure everyone knew to leave you alone after we graduated out. You seriously didn’t know?
[laughs] That’s hilarious.
I wonder how much trouble I’ll get in for this… I mean, I am saving your life—
[half-joking] Oh, yeah, when I tell Alex this story, I’m definitely saying that I saved your life. Imminent peril. If I didn’t touch you, you would have died. That’s the only way I’m going to survive this too.
[losing their smile] Hey… Are you okay?
You’re shaking. The adrenaline is probably wearing off… Here, [clothing rustle] take my jacket.
You’re limping… Does your leg hurt?
Stop for a second. Let me get a look. I’m gonna touch your leg, okay? Tell me where it hurts.
[sympathetic hiss] Okay. I don’t think it’s broken…
No, you probably shouldn’t keep walking on it. We’re not too far from the road. How about I give you a piggyback?
[laughs a little] Yes, Alex will be pissed, but we’re way past that. I hugged you. I might be executed for my crimes.
What? [smiling] No, you’re not too heavy. Oh my god, come here.
[picks them up and starts walking again]
[far off siren]
Huh, looks like I don’t have to call again.
We’re almost there, hang on.
[smiling] You want my number? Oh man… you’re going to hate when I remind you about this but… you don’t seem to have your phone on you so I’m pretty sure it’s—
Yeah. With the car. Gone. Definitely gone.
[sirens closer, rain patter on the road] We made it.
I’m not going to leave you here to wait for the emergency crew.
Come on, you can sit in my car and warm up. We’ll wait together and I can drive you to the hospital when we’re cleared to go. [car door]
You are definitely going to the hospital. You drove off the side of a mountain…
No, it’s no trouble. There’s nowhere else I need to be.
[laughs] No, it’s not because Alex would be angry if I left you here. I’d rather wait with you and, honestly, I’d like to drive back with you.
[turning on the heater, low music]

January Activity Update (Pinned Post)
Tumblr media
It’s time once again for an activity update! If you’re new here: these posts help me to keep track of what the frick I’ve been doing, particularly when tumblr breaks or the brainfog strikes. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to do a full monthly update, so this one includes posts and drafts for October, November, and December. Everything else can be found in previous monthly updates under this tag. There’s also the full thread tracker here.
The full activity update (along with OOC house keeping) is below the cut. Bold text = links.
If you want to see all IC interactions without the other stuff, click here. If you’d like to start something new, there are opens and memes, or you can just hit up the DM’s. You can also add Ty on Wire for IC texting.
Now onto the update!
Housekeeping:
A couple of little tweaks have been made to the guidelines page. Nothing huge, mainly just an update on formatting in threads and fc’s.
Ty’s Wire is now working again! 🥳 If you didn’t get a reply last time you messaged her, please resend your message. Or just send her a new one/start a new convo if you’d rather. I also have regained access to the discord account. Same username as here so feel free to add me, just let me know who you are if you do. I only log in when I’m here actively working on drafts, so you may still prefer to use the DM’s to chat.
I don’t do this often, but I’m going to be giving my inbox a bit of a reset by deleting most of the unanswered memes. Even though those ones aren’t being posted, thank you for sending them!
I’m getting notifications for old reblogs and things I was tagged in a month ago, a few even longer ago than that. Some are repeated ones that I saw in my activity feed when they were first posted, but some are brand new to me so I’m very confused rn.
In a similar vein, it’s currently hit or miss as to whether I get a notification for being tagged in a post. It also doesn’t always show up in my actual tracked tag. With that being the case, If there is something I haven’t replied to that is not listed in this post, please let me know.
Still in the process of changing up my medication. We’re taking it slowly as I’m coming off one that is notoriously a pain in the neck for withdrawal symptoms. It’s been absolutely kicking my arse, so if I’m slow to respond to ooc messages, please do not feel ignored. I will answer when my brain is not making dialup noises. Thread replies will happen when they happen. I’m trying to put less pressure on myself, but as an anxious human and chronic people pleaser it’s a struggle. 😂

Working on a TTRPG which is a sequel to my free suggestion book "Not F.A.T.A.L. but Serious!" both a tip of the hat to a notorious sh-t lord RPG from earlier (zero connection) and a favorite American but Manga comic. Was hoping I could put up the uncensored version here but it seems Tumblr still has blue noses even though it's almost like reading the best of Penthouse magazine again.
In essence it'll be erotic TTRPG play with no holds or holes barred. We are F-cking adults playing the games now, but the core properties were owned and dominated by dry corporations making "Product" that had to be G-rated. Now the "Woke" rated is far far worse. So not for kids but you can download the original here and working cover for the upcoming full RPG later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Serious - click the link (+18), go to the image of the top left and right click "Save as..." PDF document! - I'm privately hosted and NO ADS no SCRIPTS no GARBAGE. Not a full RPG just a book of suggestions that got the woke tourists invading to ruin TTRPGs to scream. That's their agenda, this is mine... I'll play my F*cking games any F*cking way I want them and I want to be able to buy and sell +18 interest.
The rainbow unicorn snowflakes can have Thirsty Sword Lesbians and Zwei-Hander. I'm not holding my gladius to their soy throats with no chins to play MY stuff but I expect something they are incapable of; respect -and that means for someone who has different views than them. If they can't understand that are their snowflake fake sh-t politics worth ANY respect? Jeebuz, I'm quite "Liberal" not a right winger.
Tumblr media
Ai + 3D art by me. She's WAY over 18 like 200+ even in fiction, slime minds...!
Tumblr media
Heads up - like any real Indie TTRPG I'll use AI art but still keep the few artists who'll do commissions for me employed like Max here. He can do hundreds of pretty damsels in distress and ribaldry in the time it'd take him to paint a swamp or dungeon Midjourney can do in seconds so why waste the time and money?
Let WotC ruin D&D for Blackrock EFT social credit - though I advise writing your Congress + Senate reps for the tax $ they'll scream to turn a failure into profit. The best out is to support the REAL indies that do NOT Bend the Knee to woke whine-buckets.
DEMAND from your TTRPG maker and game at least one element the "Woke" will NOT tolerate. I'm not for real sexism or racism and don't care who you voted for. The world has (and always will) 1,000,001 problems... Censoring comic books, video games, movies and pandering to rainbow unicorn snowflakes from some 'safe space' at a debt factory (College) does NOTHING to help anything on that list. Here are some statements free to include for free speakers, free thinkers versus "Woke" whine buckets:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh and speaking of lists...
One of the BEST things on the internet for RPGs "The List".
They just want you to know if your RPG maker is a rainbow unicorn snowflake who cares their woke fake politics vs anything to do with a RPG at all. Agenda vs product. Invaders. Tourists. Most of these people are vile on Twitter and (Zwei-Hander) demand you do NOT play their game unless you agree 100% with them. How in the world their books sit in PILES at major bookstore chains for years no sales but can NOT fail is beyond me - save knowing about 'short-selling' and corporate EFT.
So I advise looking for GREEN on the list, companies that care about their games and players NOT warmed over re-hashed master of the obvious "Woke" sentiment that preaches to its own choir.

Tumblr media
“I can’t believe I’m in trouble again because of you,” you fumed, harshly sweeping the broom across the hardwood floor of the classroom, minuscules of dust particles flying into the dustpan as Niki held it in place for you.
The rangy boy rotates his eyes at your dramatics, “Don’t blame me for your violent tendencies, you lowlife criminal.”
You halt your actions upon hearing his choice of words; the same insult you used against him a few weeks ago in this very room, since then the boy had been relentlessly teasing you throughout the days, eventually sending you into a fit of rage, causing you to hurl a newly sharpened pencil his way, but of course, the agile troublemaker was able to swiftly dodge your attack, ultimately leading to the yellow-coated stick of graphite to strike another student.
You weren’t sure of Niki’s reason for being here but due to his reputation of being a devil-child, you weren’t surprised to see him serving after-school detention.
Your eye twitched in irritation at his smug expression, clearly proud of himself for always being able to get a reaction out of you, he seemed to find solace in getting under your skin.
You kiss your teeth in annoyance before going back to cleaning just as the principal had ordered, “Whatever. Let’s just get through this detention and never speak to each other again.”
Niki smirks at your proposition, finding it bodacious how you habitually attempted to boss him around despite his notorious reputation for being formidable, it’s what made you incontrovertibly interesting, why he was so drawn to you despite the fact you were two worlds apart.
He knows he shouldn’t, people like you and him don’t associate with each other, but he can’t help himself, it’s as though a cosmic force lives inside you and it’s pulling him in against his will—albeit he doesn’t particularly find himself resisting in the first place.
“No thanks, I’m good,” he simpered, looking pleased with himself.
His artificial smile leaves you breathing fire as you drop the broomstick with a huff, narrowed eyes glowing with malevolence, “And why not?”
“Hmm…” Niki furrows his eyebrows comically, eyes darting around the room while pursing his lips, pretending to ponder your question before responding, “Because I don’t want to.”
“Besides you should be glad I’m here to help, Miss President,” he continues, “this is a pretty big classroom. How is your little self supposed to take on this big mess all by yourself?”
“And what about these desks?” He walks over to one of the desks, gliding his slender fingers over the wooden surface before gripping the sides. “Won’t you need a big strong man to carry them for you?” He continues his condescending act with a sneer.
In one swift movement, the bottom of your shoe meets the edge of the desk in a vigorous kick, the piece of furniture slamming into his knees, causing the boy to hunch over in pain, hands rubbing them to soothe the twinge.
“Don’t patronize me, Nishimura,” you seethe.
He glares at you in return, regaining his composure. “Do you always have to be so stuck up?”
“Watch your mouth.”
“You first,” he shoots back.
The animosity in the room thickens with each passing second you and Niki shoot daggers into each other's eyes, neither of you willing to let up.
Until you hear a faint click of the door, a sudden sense of impending doom settles in your gut, and Niki seems to share the same intuition as your eyes widen, both of you frantically rushing towards the door.
You reach for the knob and it’s just as you dreaded; it’s jammed, the elderly janitor on the other side is oblivious to the muffled banging and shouting behind the door, happily whistling along to “Secret Garden” by IU as he continues to prance his way down the halls.
“Hey! We’re still in here!”
“Open the fucking door, you prick!”
As unlikely as it seemed—maybe not that unlikely, it was you who made the latter statement causing Niki to raise an eyebrow at you with a tilt of his head, “I thought I was supposed to be the bad one here.”
“Shut up, Nishimura,” you grumble, kicking his shin, but Niki won't take that from you a second time.
He takes advantage of his strength to grab your wrists, pinning them against the wall on either side of your head, and even in his angry outburst he reminds himself he's still a man, careful not to use his full vigor on you, after all his goal wasn't to scare you, but to assert his dominance.
“Are you done?” he interrogates, his usual mischievous and playful aura now replaced with sternness.
You attempt to break free from his restricting hands before giving in to the thought of having to answer to him but it was of no avail, his grasp like iron.
“Answer me,” he demands, jaw clenching at your silence.
You roll your eyes still not meeting his harsh gaze, “Yes, now can you let me go?”
Niki might have granted your wish had you asked politely, but it was clear he wasn't satisfied with your tone of voice, his hold on your wrists staying firm, and he decided to command something he knew you'd hate, “Say please.”
You scoff as you finally meet his eyes, opening your mouth to retort but the grim expression on his face makes you decide otherwise, You swallow your pride and it feels like acid down your throat, “Please.”
And just like that, he’s back to his usual abysmal self, a smug smirk plastered on his peachy-pink lips whilst he realises you, petting your head as a form of damage control which surprisingly seemed to work because you make no move to swat his hand away, although you still curse him under your breath.
Almost an hour passed with occasional bickering from you and Niki as you continued cleaning the classroom followed by small gaps of comfortable silence until you finally completed the task, allowing yourselves to rest.
You don’t comment on the fact he chooses to sit right behind you once again, assuming he’s only doing it to annoy you.
“I wonder what time it is, it looks like it’s getting kinda late.” You say, gazing out the window at the dusk sky, the sun beginning to set below the horizon painting the vast atmosphere in a calming blue fading into a deep golden decorated with white clouds.
“Just go to sleep, they’ll find us in the morning,” he remarks, before using his forearms as a cushion for putting his head down on the desk.
You nod in agreement, chin resting in the palm of your hand, eyelids heavy as you feel yourself drifting off into dreamland.
Wait.
Your eyes widen in realization, quickly whipping around to face the sleeping boy, roughly grabbing onto his arm and jolting him awake, “It’s Friday!”
The irritated scowl on his face dissipates at your initial action when he registers your words, his expression now mocking your own, “Oh shit.”
You cross your arms over your chest, tapping a foot impatiently, “Geez, Nishimura. What happened to your tough-guy act earlier? You can’t even open a goddam window.”
For the past ten minutes, the poor boy had been struggling to open the classroom window and your nagging certainly wasn’t helping his frustrated state, he ceased his movements with a heavy sigh, eyeing you from his peripheral vision, “Should we use your head instead? I bet it’s as hard as a rock, we could bust this thing open in no time,” he responds, tapping the knuckle of his middle finger against the cold glass.
You refrain from smacking the back of his head, “Just get out of my way, you imbecile.” You retort, shoving him backward with your shoulder as you step forward, upon further inspection of the framed translucent aperture you find an aluminum screw lock, with a roll of your eyes you twist it, removing the small object from the tracks and opening the window.
You turn back to the boy standing behind you, knee slightly bent as a hand rests on your hip, a proud smirk donning your lips, “Shouldn't you show me a little gratitude, Nishimura?”
Niki remained poker-faced, grumbling out a “Thanks” and stepped onto the window sill in a crouched position, jumping off in a fleet-footed method.
“Holy shit,” you lean your upper body out the window, palms resting on the sill, checking if the gremlin was still alive after his reckless act.
You breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of him staring up at the window, “What are you? An old lady? Hurry up.”
You zeroed in on the height with a thick gulp, a sensation of vertigo beginning to linger and it only grows more intense the longer you look down, “It's fine, don't wait for me.”
Niki sighed and gestured up at the pale moon contrasting the navy blue sky, “It's dark out. I can't let you walk home by yourself, it's not safe.”
If it wasn't for your loss of equilibrium, you might have been appreciative of his solicitude, howbeit in this predicament you can't seem to focus on anything else.
He stays silent for a moment, taking in your expression, and then it dawns on him, you have a fear of heights.
Instead of teasing you like you fully expected he would, he opts for a more sympathetic approach, “Just look at me, ok? Don't focus on what’s scaring you.”
You scoff, “I'm not scared, what the hell are you talking about? I'm just waiting for you to move out of my way.”
The boy sighs in vexation at your stubbornness, doing his best to maintain his benevolent tactic, “I’ll catch you, just jump and I'll handle the rest.”
You bite at your bottom lip, an obvious sign of your timorous feelings, and Niki implores you further, “Look, I know we aren't exactly the nicest to each other but that doesn't mean I'm out to hurt you.”
Your eyes surveyed him, having an internal battle with yourself about whether you should have faith in the brown-haired boy or not.
“It's ok, you can trust me,” he coaxed.
“Fine.” You huff, stepping on the window sill in a crouched position. “Just don't look under my skirt.”
Niki only responds with a shrug which slightly concerns you but you decide to ignore it for the time being, you take a deep breath, scanning the distance between you and the ground once more.
“Hey, what'd I say?” He reminds you gently, “only look at me.”
And you do, forcing your eyes away from the patterned concrete and only keeping your sights on him, you let yourself fall, your body feeling weightless in mid-air as you wait for his arms to catch you, and they do.
His arms circle tightly around your midriff, and your arms wrap around his neck in return, the tips of your shoes just barely hovering above the ground, his foot slightly lifting causing him to stumble backward a bit but thankfully he's able to balance himself, adrenaline coursing through both your veins as you let out chuckles of relief, gaping at each other.
Your breathing evens after a couple of seconds but Niki still hasn't let you out of his embrace, the novelty of the situation creating a stark contrast to your usual deep-seated aversion towards each other with the way your gazes soften subsequent to your eyes locking.
He'd never looked at you like this before and you aforementioned him, this tension was different, even from the tensity a few weeks ago when you landed right on top of him, you fixated on the windows to his soul, their deep brown seemed more balmy now, like a cool summer night when the weather wasn't too hot and not too cold, just pleasantly warm.
You suddenly thought of a phrase your grandmother would often say, mostly when talking about how she met your grandfather; koi no yokan.
“What’s that?” your eight-year-old self asked, eyes gleaming in curiosity.
Her lips curl in a tender smile, “It's the premonition of love. You'll feel it one day when you meet your soulmate, you won't love them right away but something in your heart will tell you that’s the person you're supposed to love for the rest of your life.”
You snap out of your reverie when Niki sets you down, patting your shoulder, “Next time I'll have to push you out.”
You roughly place your hand on his shoulder as a counter, “I’ll take you down with me, Nishimura.”
He chuckles and ruffles your hair, “Whatever, nerd. Let's go, I still gotta get you home safe.”
“And I gotta make sure you can read the street signs,” you quip as you begin walking alongside him.
Niki gives you a light shove on the shoulder which you return, and he shoves you again only this time the pad of his index finger meets your forehead causing you to nearly fall over but he's quick to clutch your upper arm, ceasing your fall, and you both laugh.
Even so, you can't help but psychologize your peculiar relationship with the boy, Riki Nishimura was the most beautiful, complicated thing. He was the genesis of your ire and ataraxy, he made you laugh when you didn’t want to, and he made you emotional even though you were well-known for your stoicism, you wanted to punch him and at the same time you wanted to understand him, you hated being around him but your heart skipped a beat whenever he got too close, he was your paradox.
Riki Nishimura was your koi no yokan and as he walked you home that night, you were both blissfully unaware of the Red thread of fate that interweaved your souls together for an eternity, tied around your pinkies in adamantine knots.

Hire SEO Specialist - Boost Your Search Engine Rankings and Attract More Visitors with SEO
Search engine optimization, also known as SEO, is the technique of boosting your rankings in search engines to drive more traffic to your website or blog. This guide presents seven effective strategies for enhancing your search engine rankings and attracting more visitors through SEO. These tactics have been tested and proven by experts and can be easily implemented by following the step-by-step instructions outlined below. With these techniques, you can quickly start seeing hundreds, if not thousands, of additional visitors to your site each month!
Tumblr media
Keyword Research: Making a list of potential keywords
Keyword research is a vital aspect of SEO, although it can be a tedious process. However, if you already have a business concept, you likely have sufficient keywords to begin with. For instance, if you are launching an event planning business, there are numerous search terms that may be relevant, such as "event planner" and "event planning." By analyzing these keywords, you can identify the ones that are most likely to drive traffic to your site and convert visitors into customers.
Keyword Research: Analyzing each keyword
There are three factors to consider when analyzing keywords:
Search volume: Keywords with a higher search volume often command a higher price.
Competitiveness: The number of advertisers bidding on a keyword and the amount they're willing to pay are indicators of its competitiveness.
Quality score: A high quality score can improve your ranking and reduce the cost per click or impression for your ads.

Keyword Research: Choosing which keywords to use
To improve your search engine ranking, the initial step is to identify keywords that are relevant to your business or industry. You can begin by brainstorming phrases that people might use to search for your company. To assist with this process, you can use free tools such as Google Trends and Google AdWords Keyword Planner, though they have their limitations. For more advanced keyword research, a subscription-based tool like Moz’s Keyword Explorer or Ahrefs’ Keywords Explorer would be necessary.
On-Page SEO Optimization
On-page optimization aims to enable search engines to crawl your website efficiently and help you rank higher in search results. It involves consistently assessing your content for keywords and tweaking it accordingly. Luckily, there are tools like Google Analytics that can simplify the process of identifying effective strategies and areas for improvement.
Off-Page SEO Optimization
Off-page optimization is crucial to improve your site's ranking in search engines. In addition to on-page optimization, you need to focus on creating high-quality content that will attract links back to your site. By doing this, you can establish your site's authority in search engine results pages (SERPs) and drive traffic to your site. Remember that high-quality content will naturally attract links from other sites, which will further improve your site's authority and ranking.
Final Thoughts
SEO is one of those marketing strategies that can be notoriously difficult to get your head around, but fortunately there are plenty of guides out there which break it down into manageable chunks. We’ve included a handful below – all of which will give you a good place to start when thinking about how you can improve your online presence.

How To Protect Servers Against Malware
Tumblr media
Malware and security software are in a constant conflict. Both sides are always changing, getting better, and developing new strategies. You can defend your web server against the most frequent malware attacks by taking a few simple measures. For the protection of both you and your clients, it is crucial that you, as a system administrator, keep your server up and running securely. Below are the best tips to protect against malware.
1 Only Use Trusted Antivirus and Malware Software
Nowadays, few individuals use computers, smartphones, or tablets without antivirus and malware detection software According to a research, only 27% of Windows machines were unprotected in 2017. But not all of those people use a reputable or well-known supplier.
Norton, Kaspersky, Comodo, AVG, Avast, and Webroot antivirus programmes all have a long history of being reliable and good at identifying security risks despite costing slightly more than self-described "free antivirus" programmes.
On the internet, you may download free antivirus software, but do you really want to trust your computer to just any software? Furthermore, a lot of completely free antivirus software is itself a Potentially Unwanted Program (" PUP") and includes spyware during installation.
When compared to the potentially harmful cryptojacking or hijacking that could take place on your own devices, purchasing high-quality antivirus software is a little investment to pay.
2. Update & patch your OS and software.
The worldwide mayhem caused by the WannaCry ransomware in May 2017 is believed to have cost $4 billion. The notorious ransomware took advantage of a flaw in Windows' implementation of the SMB protocol. Microsoft, though, had already addressed the issue in March 2017. The affected systems were vulnerable to WannaCry because they failed to timely update their Windows operating system.
In other words, WannaCry would not have been able to infect and encrypt the data if they had upgraded their Windows OS.
The WannaCry ransomware outbreak serves as the ideal illustration of the importance of timely OS and application updates and how failing to do so leaves your business-critical systems open to ransomware attacks.
3. Install antivirus and ransomware protection software's.
The primary line of security against ransomware and cyberattacks is anti-virus software. Your system automatically detects, removes, and quarantines harmful software based on the software you've chosen before it encrypts your data. This makes these data security programmes a necessary component of each storage system for mission-critical corporate data.
However, it goes without saying that it is not a good idea to rely only on anti-virus and anti-ransomware software. Data protection software is unable to keep up with ransomware's constant evolution and complexity.
4. Install backup and disaster recovery systems (DR).
In order to stop ransomware attacks, one of the most important things to do is to set up automated air-gapped backups, immutable storage, snapshots, and disaster recovery.
After eradicating the ransomware from the compromised systems, you can quickly perform restoration operations and lower recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs) with backup and disaster recovery (DR).
5. Employ Browser Common Sense.
There are common sense rules that automatically keep you safe from street crime, such as never walking alone at night, staying in well-lit locations, etc. The same self-preservation rules also apply when using the internet.
Steer clear of websites that host pirated content, especially torrent sites like The Pirate Bay. These locations are rife with malware. Never open an email attachment from a sender you do not know since it can be a phishing hoax.
Here are some pointers:
Even if the file was supplied to you by relatives or friends, scan it before downloading.
Before clicking a shortened link, hover your mouse over it to see the URL it will take you to. This is especially important if the link is in an email from someone you don't know or recognize.
The most recent figures show that there are more than 18 million malicious websites on the internet. You should report infected websites to your antivirus provider in addition to leaving them right away because they raise certain evident warning signs.
Second, always check to see if the website you visit has an SSL certificate. Search for the secured icon to the left of the URL to confirm this (the web address). Take action to stop the entire page from loading when a browser, like Chrome, alerts you that a website is not safe.
In the data centres of cheap web hosting companies, which can host thousands of websites on a single shared server with little to no quality control, malicious websites are frequently hosted. Because of this, it is far better to take precautions than to try to erase the harm that has already been done when it comes to internet safety.
6. Stay Up-to-Date on the Latest Attacks.
Malware is frequently modified and added by cybercriminals. Malvertising is one type of malware, for instance.
Remove any software you no longer use in addition to keeping your operating system and all of your programmes updated. You become vulnerable to assaults when using outdated programmes because they don't have patches (updates/fixes).
7. Configure Regular Scans and Monitor Settings.
Each and every person needs antivirus software. Most people would undoubtedly agree that they need antivirus software if you asked them. And yet, a recent Webroot research found that almost half of all Americans have no antivirus protection at all.
A hacker exposed private patient information at the Erie County Medical Center in New York in 2017, costing the facility millions of dollars. Their computer system was ultimately offline for a total of six weeks due to the hackers. All the screens went dark, rendering them helpless to take any action. To restore access to their own equipment, they ultimately had to pay the hackers more than $44,000 in Bitcoin.
And the reason why none of this could have been prevented was that they lacked antivirus software. Although it is meant to operate in the background, you must still handle it directly. To make sure the programme is functioning properly, it is a good idea to set up automatic scans to run once every few days or once per week.
Avoid performing scans while using your computer if you see that it significantly reduces the performance of your PC. For most people, it makes sense to choose a late hour, for instance.
Last but not least, you need to make sure that the system is not off and that it can not enter sleep mode or hibernation in order for the scan to run.

By now you're probably getting a sense that 2023 may not be all rainbows and butterflies.
The Emotional Rollercoaster is always beckoning you to leap on for the ride. Here’s how to resist:
⭐️Accept the honesty of the situation, not what you hope it will be.
Accept people and situations for what they are. Open your eyes to the reality of who they are, what they do, and what drives them.
And let go of the need to change them.
You know you are in healthy situations when you can speak your truth and feelings. You always know you’re in toxic situations because they turn the tables. And boom 💥 you deform yourself to fit their dysfunction!
And darling, you know that ends up with you losing yourself, having low self-esteem, and losing of identity.
So sweetheart, this year more than ever, open your eyes to the truth of your situation.
Anxiety comes from not accepting things as they are. Empaths like you are notorious for desperately trying to change the situation. Peace comes with honestly facing what is, however hard that is.
It’s time to stop making excuses for those who stab you in the back. Instead, take that knife and use it to cut the tangled cords and stand up for what you want and what you deserve.
And that’s the work I do.
Have you jumped on my offer for January yet? ♥️
