Hey what do you think are the main differences between the pouge and kook versions of the girls (if there are any) so like for example pouge bunny vs kook bunny , pouge kitty vs kook kitty

the ones with the least differences are pup and foxy they would pretty much be the same with or without money imo? I think foxy would be more mean spirited if you can imagine lol she's too smart for her own good and is probably bored by cushy kook life so she uses her powers for evil. think like blair waldorf in terms of intelligence

pup is always gonna be a laidback girl she's like zoe kravitz her parents are those hippy neo soul parents who just let her do whatever and its doubled as a kook so she really doesnt see a use in the class rivalry on the island. very nouveau riche too so she rlly dgaf but id say pogue pup is more rough around the edges because she's not ignorant to the life she lives.

bunny as we know is the biggest difference: as a pogue she's less of a crybaby, less spoiled and way more street smart. she's a scammer, she's probably a swer in some capacity and she doesn't really desire rafe so much as she enjoys the security he provides but she eventually warms up to him

standard bunny is spoiled and emotionally manipulative. she was raised to be a trophy wife and she "lucked out" with rafe, but she had to lie her way into it because we all know he's strict and weird. she's smart in the sense that she knows to pick her battles with him and is willing to let him have control as long as she gets to go shopping.

kitten as a pogue is the pogueiest out of all the girls except pogue bunny those two are straight from the gutter. she's chaotic, and aggressive, spends all her free time with her drunk uncle, has every job you can imagine, shows up to her job at save a lot higher than a kite, said drunk uncle gifted her a stolen car like she's a rough one! but honestly its funny because of the pogues she's the most spoiled because she strong arms her way into getting what she wants.

kook kitten is also fuckin spoiled as hell...she's like one of those ridiculously pampered pets she has a whole floor of the house to herself. the main difference is while pogue kitten doesnt bother hiding behind a facade she's a fuckin wolf you see her coming (word to mrs pollard), kook kitten looks sweet and nice but she's petulant and spoiled and doesn't take no for an answer. also the biggest fuckin party girl she's always tipsy or high at fancy dinners

On Hérault's Orgy Cave

@divinaaugusta I wrote about this in the past (my pet topic, guilty as charged), but I have trouble locating relevant info on my blog because Tumblr my beloved.

We learn about the sex/orgy cave from the book by his mistress Suzanne de Morency, "Illyrine ou l'Écueil de l'inexpérience". She describes their relationship, including how he bought her a lottery and rented a luxurious house for her near Champs-Élysées. In 18c, there was no avenue, but we know its approximate location, near the convent St Périne (now a hospital). Here is how the area looked in the 1730:

So, near rue de Chaillot in 18th century.

As I understand, in 1790s that was a nationalized property that Hérault rented for Suzanne. As part of the complex, there was a garden with an artificial grotto. These grottos were all the rage in the 18th century. Here is one belonging to Frederick the Great: Neptune Grotto (although no idea if this one - or grottos in general - were used for the same purpose as how Hérault used it). Apparently, Hérault's grotto/cave included a little brook, flowers, and comfortable furniture (including a chandelier). She describes:

Chérubin [Hérault] me prie d'ôter mes bas , parce qu'il faisait chaud , et il se désha billalui-même, passa seulement une grande lévite de bazin doublée de taffetas bleu : il me prend la main , me fait traverser le parterre ; j'apperçois un petit portique du quel il m'avait toujours soigneusement écartée ; et il avait un grand soin de ne pas me perdre de vue depuis notre arrivée. Enfin , ouvrant la porte de ce portique , il me présente à l'amour , qui m'offre une guirlande de roses fraîches ; puis il me dit : Adèle ; vois son inscription. Je le regarde en souriant; il me donne un baiser , dé noue ma ceinture , marobe , et à l'instant je n'ai plus de vêtement que la guirlande que l'amour m'a donné : mon amant a la même parure : il ouvre la porte sacrée ; nos pieds foulent le gazon. Il me conduit à un lit de jonc dont le ciel était un grand myrthe. Mon amant s'était ménagé toute la soirée pour ce lieu enchanteur…. Je ne puis te peindre tous les plaisirs que nous goûtâmes : je ne trouverais pas de pinceau assez habile ; ils sont plus faciles à imaginer qu'à peindre. Mais Séchelles est plus qu'un homme si j'ai quelquefois dit que mon mari et Q…..te étaient autant au- dessus du vulgaire qu'étaient les anges au- dessus de l'humanité, je dirai maintenant qu'Hérault de Séchelles est autant au - dessus de mon mari et de Q…..te que la divinité est au dessus des anges. Nous nous restaurâmes par des glaces et des liqueurs ; tu en connais l'effet …. De nouveau nous nous épuisâmes : nous passâmes la nuit dans ce charmant réduit.

The description starts on page 270, with the description of the house, and then the garden and the portico and the inscription "Fuyez loin d'ici , profanes , si vous n'êtes purs et nuds comme moi" ("Flee far from here, profane people, if you are not pure and naked like me"), to which Hérault - obviously - suggests them to undress. And they did. (Sadly, she doesn't describe the encounter, except that it was amazing and that he served drinks and ice-cream after).

Suzanne says that they visited the cave more than once, sometimes with another couple (so, not just sex cave but also an orgy cave). Again, she doesn't go into details, but she makes it clear what kind of activities went there.

So... that's the story of this particular 18th century spot! :)

I just went back and read your original Louis head canons, so I have to ask: do you have any new ones? They're all so good, I could listen to you talk about him for ages !

Nasty baby boy!! Thank you for asking, I need to gnaw on him like a chew toy rn because of my IWTV reread. It's giving me even more Louis brain worms than usual. Little guy....

He is not an animal person in general, but he has a very special and very strong affinity for birds. He has bird feeders at all the windows in his favorite spots, and an assortment of little bird friends (he's had lots of different kinds) in a big aviary who are very spoiled and very well trained. He's also a big fan of the birdtok scroll hole and fighting about birdkeeping on reddit until someone is crying

Louis knows his original family name from France, but never uses or speaks about it. If anyone were to ask, he'd say he doesn't care for it because he wants """his""" achievements to speak for themselves, but in reality it kind of bothers him that his ancestry is "common" and nouveau riche

Lestat's dumbest nickname for him is Minky (because Louis' hair reminds him of those fancy mahogany mink coats, all dark, shiny and fluffywavy). He perhaps maybe possibly finds all the stupid pet names a little bit sweet

Phone game junkie. If brass buttons were that interesting to him, imagine candy crush or the businessman enrichment he would get from animal crossing. Lestat has to limit his screen time so he doesn't rot his brain

He watches Protestant televangelists and bitches at the screen like a dad watching football. Just in general he likes to look at things that make him angry and then complain about it (big fan of Facebook and the news for the same reason)

Really into modern self-help and wellness culture. He konmaris his house every two months and is a top user of the headspace app. It's really annoying for everyone else but it does seem to be working

He uses his vampire prodigy skills to do a lot of sketching outside, especially when the weather is nice. He's always been a nature enjoyer but now he can capture it easily and keep it close. He likes to take pictures too. And show them to other people whether they care or not. The oak tree in his favorite park is like a grandchild to him

Because of his poor feeding habits very early on after being turned, his fangs are just slightly smaller and duller than the average vampire. It makes his kills messier/harder to keep tidy because there's a bit of sawing and ripping involved in the feeding process instead of a clean bite

Contrary to popular belief, he does enjoy physical affection from very close people, like his siblings when he was human and Lestat now. He needs more space than his stage five clinger husband (they would be surgically attached if Lestat had his way), but he likes having someone to lean against while he reads or a lap to sit in during a movie or cuddles after a long day. It just took an acclimation period and some trust building/bonding to get there

His hatred of granulated sugar was partly financially motivated (business competition) but also because he had a massive sweet tooth as a human but it didn't fit his image. Almond mom who sneaks twinkies in the bathroom

On a somewhat related note, his disordered eating wasn't a totally new thing as a vampire. His image of himself was always very reliant on his ability to be "godly" and In Control which led to a lot of extreme monk food habits and secret binging on fat, sugar, and alcohol. It's also why he spiraled so quickly into being an actual alcoholic so quickly after Paul's death

Against all odds, he is a fancy bath guy. Hot water was obviously not super easy to get and regulate for most of his life so it wasn't really a feasible option, but now he's extremely into the idea of being up to his neck in hot water that smells like lavender. He's kind of embarrassed about it though so he takes them when he's alone like it's some kind of petty crime. Lestat knows and leaves him little bath product gifts (and eventually gets to be in included in the baths sometimes)

Thinking about my spidersona:

Small angst; small suggested smut at the end; mostly fluff and comfort. TW: Mention of death, depression, healthy issues, and isolation.

Wish my computer could work so I could draw my Spidersona...😩

🕸 Spidersona, who was bitten by a funnel web spider (💀) and is still traumatized. She takes appointments with Spider-Therapist every Thursday. Spider-Cat helps her copes with stressful memories.

🕸 Spidersona, who's Caribbean and wears traditional superhero suit. Bright madras tissues wrapped around her head and hips and Creole earrings (hoop earrings).

🕸 Spidersona, who was the only Spider-Girl in Nouveau Fort in Martinique (don't look for it, I made it up, but it's based on Fort-de-France) until a certain Miguel "Fat Ass" O'Hara came to enroll her.

🕸 Spidersona, whose best person is clearly Pavitr because we support cultural representation, and obviously because he's the most adorable boy I've ever seen. ❤️ Besides, they usually chat about new clothes they like to embellish their suit and wardrobe.

They even have Indian nickname for each other : Pavitr is Munna (used for pretty and gentle boy), and Spidersona is Choti (used for girls and means small) based on this.

🕸 Spidersona, who loves dancing with Gwen late at night in her home. Spidersona shows Gwen how to move her butt like there's no tomorrow, and Gwen gives her tips to achieve a boneless split. There're also countless sleepovers and "Girls Talk" about boys, which is pretty much awkward at first, but they both like gossiping.

🕸 Spidersona, who has the fattest crush on Hobart "Hobie" Brown, 'cause let's be honest who wouldn't. Always avoiding him when he comes her way. Obviously, Hobie notices, and he thinks she doesn't like him or his style makes her feel uneasy.

🕸 Spidersona eventually confesses that she likes him :

"That's why you've been dodging me, luv?" Hobie rhetorically asks her, his full lips stretching into a genuine smile.

She feels her face heating up and her hands becoming sweaty. "Yeah, but I don't expect anything y'know. Just wanted to tell you..."

Hobie leans forward, and she presses her lips together, gazing down because she never noticed how interesting the ground could be. She feels his breath on her neck, and she shivers when his lips plant on her cheeks fondly.

"You're too cute, luv."

From that day, he's always close to her. His arm rests on her shoulders, and he's never too far when they're fighting anomalies. They both rely on each other when something goes wrong.

🕸 Spidersona, who curses in Creole when she's pissed.

"WHO STOLE MY SALTFISH ACCRA?! AY KOKÉ MANMAN ZOT! LAN DJET MANMAN ZOT! OU SÉ AN SAKRÉ TI ICH SALO-!"

"Wow! Wow! Okay, okay, we got it. That's enough bad words for today, luv." Hobie covers her lips and drags her out to cool down a bit.

Peter B. covers Mayday's ears, though he doesn't understand a thing he knows what she's saying isn't lovely.

🕸 Spidersona, who has arachnophobia, watches Penni petting her spider with disgust (don't get me wrong, her spider is adorable, but I don't want it near me). Miles makes fun of her and eventually chases her with random spider he finds around through the lobby.

🕸 Spidersona, who slips in Hobie's universe to spend some time together. She watches him play guitar on his bed and turns red when he hands her his instrument and sits behind her, his fingers brushing hers as he teaches her how to play.

🕸 Spidersona, who brings Martinican food to Mrs. Morales when she comes to visit Miles. Rio observes her chat with her son from afar along with Jefferson.

"She looks nice," Rio says after a while, still looking at them, "and she calls me 'Mrs. Morales." Her lips turning upward.

"Yeah, definitely Caribbean. Besides, I love these." Jefferson says, grabbing a slice of butter bread she made with her mom, accompanied by communion chocolate.

Spidersona and Miles look at their feet awkwardly, feeling Miles' parents' gaze on them.

"'M sorry 'bout my parents, they're... protective."

"Yeah, don't mention it. My mom does this, too."

🕸 Spidersona, who invites everyone one in her universe in Nouveau Fort. The tropical climate welcomes them fiercely, and everyone change to wear swimsuit. Peter B. applies sunscreen on Mayday and himself and lays down on a towel.

🕸 Hobie and Pavitr bury Miles in the sand, mermaid body in process as Spidersona and Gwen take Mayday to a swimming lesson, her Spider-Man rubber ring assisting her.

"Damn Gwen, you're red as hell." Spidersona hands her Peter's sunscreen, snorting.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny."

...

🕸 After 3 weeks and still no news from her, Hobie and Pavitr head to her universe. When they slip into her bedroom through the window, they find her in her bed, barely breathing. Pavitr rushes to her, worry in his eyes as he brushes her now sunken cheeks. She hardly opens her eyes, dried tears staining her face.

🕸 Hobie takes her face in his hand, caressing her cheekbones slowly before kneeling to be face level with her. He takes her blanket off her, and it pains them to see how much weight she lost. They can clearly see her ribcage under her skin.

As they discuss what to do, they hear her mother's voice in the living room. She sounds exhausted, her voice quavering.

"I don't know what to do, mom. She hasn't eat anything in days and she keeps losing weight. The doctor said we should bring her to the hospital because of her iron deficiency and underweight. Otherwise, her anemia might come back and-" her voice cracks, as she can't handle her overwhelming emotions. The phone slips from her grasp as she falls on her knees.

🕸 Hobie grabs her without hesitation and opens a portal, quickly followed by Pavitr. He mumbles apologies when she groans pain. When they arrive, Hobie pushes open the medical department's door with his foot. Spider Meds are quick to take care of her, using advanced medical tech.

🕸 Spidersona, who wakes up after 2 weeks, looking less of a momified monk. She sees a red-haired baby lying down on her belly. She recognizes Mayday, and Peter B. reaches out, his hand caressing her head.

"We missed you." He says genuinely, worry fading away and replaced by a look parents would give to their child after they injured themselves.

🕸 Spidersona, who just cries. Her pain and grief pouring out of her chest and she can't help it. Peter B. hugs her tightly, kissing her forehead.

🕸 Miles appears and stands still when he views the scene, his brain analyzing everything. He comes close, taking her hand in his, squeezing it kindly. When Peter lets go of you, Miles replaces him.

🕸 Spidersona, who after she calmed down, thanks them and asks where the others are, only to find out that they are on a mission.

🕸 Spidersona, who is surprised to see Spider-Man Noir paying her a visit, flower is his hands.

"Everyone's been worried about you." Miles explains, her hands still in his. "When Hobie and Pav came back with you almost dead, we freaked out."

"Jessica even talk to your mother so she wouldn't pass out when she found out you disappeared." Adds Spider-Man Noir.

She is grateful but also a bit ashamed she worried everyone.

"So... what happened?" Peter B. asks cautiously.

She looks up to him and tries to suppress the tears, creating in the corner of her eyes.

🕸 Spidersona, who wasn't fast enough to save her uncle Henry and faced the reality of the world.

Though everybody can relate, Miles feels like he knows exactly what she feels. He remembers when he found out that Uncle Aaron was the Prowler, the look in his eyes when he discovered Miles was Spider-Man. His hand slipping from his as he exhaled his last breath.

🕸 Spidersona, who spends her day with Miles since Peter went home to put Mayday in bed. She eats empanadas Miles brought for her.

"My mom made them for you. When I told her you were hospitalized, she wouldn't stop asking about you. Besides, since we didn't know when you would wake up, she made some every day." Miles scratches the back of his head; cheeks and ears red. He knew his mom liked you, maybe too much for his liking.

"Well, please, thanks her for me. This is delicious. My taste buds are dancing hard right now." She giggles, making Miles smile.

🕸 Spidersona, who eventually encounters Jessica and Miguel. She thanks the pregnant woman, hugging her slightly, knowing she's not a big fan. To her surprise, she rubs her back and smiles.

🕸 Spidersona, who turns to Miguel reluctantly and apologizes for being off without warning. He brushes her off, as usual, talking about how it was her canon event. Gee thanks.

🕸 Spidersona, who hears familiar voices. She turns around, and there they are : Gwen, Hobie and Pavitr. She launches herself on them, arms fully extended. Pav sees her first and rushes toward her. They both collide, their hands grasping any pieces of clothes, hugging like the world would disappear.

"I missed you so much, Choti." Pav cries, his hands hold her tightly. "You almost gave a heart attack. Don't do this ever again, please. I love you."

And she cries again, hearing her best friend voice trembling.

"I'm so sorry, Munna. I promise. I love you so much, too."

Gwen joins in, her lips quivering, and they open their arms for her to come.

🕸 Spidersona, who wipes her face after a while, then proceeds to notice Hobie, who stayed back. Pav hugs her one last time, then leaves with Gwen. She approaches Hobie, not sure why she feels so nervous all of a sudden.

🕸 Spidersona, who follows Hobie to his universe, their pinky intertwined. When they are both alone in his room, he smashes his lips against hers.

🕸 Spidersona, who feels like a tsunami washed over her: emotions and feelings blending in her core. It's slow at first but quickly bursts into a wildfire when she feels his body against her. It feels strange, and she's a bit insecure, but Hobie reassures her. It's overwhelming.

"Are you okay, luv?" He asks, his voice barely above a whisper, like she'll shatter if he's too loud.

"Yeah. I am."

🕸 Spidersona, who slowly moves on, enjoys her life with those who remain and never forgets those who left.

Tag Game for Historical Simblrs! 📖

1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?

As far as actually playing the game? The 1900s. I really did a lot of gameplay and overall it was just a wholesome, pleasant time to play the game. However, it’s definitely my least favorite story wise and I feel like not a lot happened.

So as far as the actual plot goes, I’ve been looking forward to the 20s literally since I began this challenge. While difficult, it has also been so fulfilling to actually see it all come to life. Now, I’ve got my eyes set on the 1940s 👀

2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)

Oh this is…impossible 😅

I have gone through so many styles and eras already that I have mainstay pieces for each as well as pieces that just stop my heart. I think the one that I’m fixated on right now is Zelda’s 1920s bob. Of course she’s grown it out a bit now but it’s still iconic in my heart.

3. Who is your favorite sim currently?

Okay another one that is basically impossible. Because like, how do I pick between my pixel babies right now? Antoine and Jo are absolutely my baby angels, and are both my favorites at various points in the narrative.

But it’s so difficult to pick them as my overall favorite over Zelda, just because I’ve been playing and writing as Zelda quite literally since she was born.

4. What is your favorite world?

Currently? Willow Creek hands down. This is more because I’ve transformed it into New Orleans than it is because of any merit it has on its own. I use mods and put in a lot of work to make it look this way, but now, it’s by far my favorite.

5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?

Well….I think we know the answer to this one 😂

Storytelling drives my gameplay without a doubt. I write very far in advance, and that plot is what determines how I tell the story. Often I try and recreate these things as close as possible in gameplay, but let’s be honest, that isn’t always easy in this game.

6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?

Ah, not an awful lot. Because I’m usually in storytelling mode posing sims and trying to get from one scene to another, I can often find them cumbersome. Of course we did have Daisy in the 1900s and she was lovely to have at Darlington Cottage, but I think that’s because I was doing more gameplay in that era so it made more sense.

7. What’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game?

Sigh. What always got me was when a family member from another world showed up at my sims doorstep or is just walking in the background. So I’m in downtown “New Orleans” and all of a sudden, oh look! There’s Virginia walking in the background of a scene.

Luckily now I have this mod to get everyone to stay in their world 😉

8. What’s your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)

Honestly, just to make my life easier, I often filter by Custom Content and call it a day. This is especially true in CAS because I find all the assets overwhelming, I don’t even really use many in-game items there (except for a pair of base game lace up boots I use constantly).

In BB I find there’s a number of small items that I like using, such as the BG coat rack, the flowers from Cottage Living, the round BG dining table, the Tiffany lamp from Cats and Dogs, and a number of others!

I also used quite alot of the Realm of Magic Assets in Zelda and Antoine’s apartment, so I’m really fond of those, especially the Art Nouveau parquet floorboards and wallpaper.

9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?

This is a personal one for the story going forward (👀) but absolutely horses. Otherwise, I would love to see more functionality for music and bands in the game, maybe even with some vintage assets to complete that vibe.

10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?

Like I’m sure most people would say, Cottage Living. It just offers so much gameplay for historical simmers as well as a gorgeous world that I’ve gotta select it (see my whole long list of pack recs here).

11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?

The mod that is absolutely invaluable to me is Timeless. It is what allows me to get so many scenic screens without pesky objects in the way and also simply makes the worlds so much more immersive to me.

12. What’s your ideal family size for playing?

The 1900s Darlingtons are frankly as large as I can go with the family. So a household of six, max, plus maybe a pet. Even then, I get very overwhelmed. So I usually prefer households of 4-5 although I do also like a household of 3 with an only child 😉

13. Do you use poses?

Goodness gracious, yes. All the poses all the time for everything. Even when I try to use in game animations I get more annoyed that I can’t control the angles as much.

14. Do you use any overrides in your game?

I actually don't! I suppose it would be very useful but its just not really something I've ever delved into.

15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?

Yes, I played off the grid for all of the 1880s and 1890s. I now slightly regret it because this means I was taking all of my photos with candles, and that lead to that heavy yellow tone in all of my early interior photos.

I also played off the grid for most of the 1900s until darlington cottage got that upgrade that included the inside bathrooms. Best moment of the game lol

16. What lifespan do you play on?

I play with custom lifespan settings where 4 in game sim days equal 1 IRL year.

17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?

Whew. Well I was playing my own version of the NSB challenge that I wrote when I hit gen 6. This gen was meant to be a film star, so I kind of had this idea that as her career progressed, her fashion would also go through the eras of old Hollywood. Looking back, I now also realize that this was me getting fed up with the lack of time progression that inevitably comes from playing a “modern” legacy challenge.

Anywho, I was looking for CC for this when I came across the wonderful lookbooks of Pixelnrd. This of course led me to their challenge and I started reading one afternoon. By the next day I had the idea for the Darlingtons already forming in my head 🥹
