But. The time has come: I need to seek out a beta-reader/editor. This step scares me, because I'm really baring my work for someone to literally criticize. :D

The Story: 75k, 30 chapters. New/Young Adult, fantasy/magical realism.

Teaser: When Euwenn Allen Gilmore refuses to follow his beloved teacher, Alabaster White, into the murky waters of murder along the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Alabaster curses Euwenn to forever wander the streets as an unknown. He can never return to his family, or anyone who knew him, because they will die. He tests this curse -- once and only once. He’ll never get that death out of his mind. Euwenn wanders the streets for three weeks, until he finds Rowan Morris about to be eaten by a werewolf. Grateful for the rescue -- and trying to keep Euwenn from bleeding out -- Rowan takes Euwenn home with him. Euwenn finds in Rowan and his family friends for his days, and in Rowan’s schooling, a cause. With little hope for breaking the curse, Euwenn sets out to try and carve a new life for himself. Seeking: Someone to beta/edit. I'm looking mostly for grammar, spelling, and continuity errors. If you happen to notice things that don't make sense or things that you think should be switched around, I'd be down to hear that too.

The Problem: I'm looking for someone who happens to enjoy this because my money is going towards artwork. This is not a paid request. That being said, I totally get it if you're like "hell no i'm not doing that for free." Cheers, mate. Don't blame you. 9) Favorite study resource this year? Renshuu app for Japanese! It's so useful as a dictionary and a really easy way to get in a little studying every day, even on days I don't feel like doing much. I love the crosswords haha

10) Favorite language learning moment this year? Ohh man that's really hard; I've had lots of great moments! I think one of my favourites was the first time I felt brave enough to ask the cashier at 7-Eleven how to pronounce the kanji for a food item so I could just ask for it instead of awkwardly pointing like a caveman. It took me a long time to pluck up the courage and it made my life so much easier once I finally did it!

ah they just had the fiancee cheat with arguably the slimiest character in the show to try and balance out the leads finally kissing, all of a sudden spells aren't real and the curse is entirely forgotten they're solving everything with lazy ass writing okay

#don't get me wrong - shinyu trying to leave hongjo alone while desperately yearning being protective and playfully possessive/jealous #only to kiss her when he's so overcome with accepting his (and realizing her) truth SHOULD be delicious #and yet... once my bi heart looks past the chemistry/visuals... 😐 #destined with you #also implicating hongjo as stealing 2nd fl's man twice for so long and having her slapped - make it make sense pls #like yes she's lonely immature and being wooed made her feel good inside but she never encouraged shinyu's behavior #hasn't even figured out she doesn't like jae kyung or whatever anymore for herself #technically shinyu's feelings aren't her responsibility esp w/o magic but the show's premise rn makes her the 'other woman' to blame #we're in the middle of things unravelling but i s2g if she doesn't have agency or a modicum or self respect/honesty in the next eps.. 🤦🏾‍♀️ #but going back to the post - the show could have justified shinyu's breakup with the fact that he wasn't invested from the beginning #or that 2nd fl is a two faced bully and show that forcing relationships bc of status/attraction/history/family pressure ends poorly #but instead it's taking a female character who would be justifiably upset and vilifying her so that her pain seems deserved #she's already unlikable and pitiful (there's like only two women in this entire show portrayed positively) but no #let's make her as 2d & evil as possible to uplift hongjo instead of putting in work to develop the lead/story & appeal to the audience #writers prove me wrong challenge

hi!! i don’t really write anymore :( i would love to get back to it as a hobby (since i recently learned that i have no hobbies 😭), but i’m just so busy w school and work full time.

the passed two years have been really rough for me (prob shouldn’t trauma dump on here lol) mentally and what not. and while writing is a very happy place for me, i have to take a step back to focus on myself and what i want out of the… blah blah, big picture stuff.

BUT i will most likely never delete this account or my fics for this very reason! i want everyone to still be able to enjoy what i put out into the world.

it’s been so long since i’ve written, i know if i just posted something now, it wouldn’t nearly be to the standard i used to (which is a matter of opinion, my writing could very well suck 💀).

but, yeah. i’ll always be here tho, at least reading fics and supporting my mutuals when i can. this was an amazing era of my life. i hope i can come back some day :)
