"Efficiency must be the new consistency!"
Making my own evil Pokemon Team(maybe even region teehee)!
This is Maliko, the leader of Team Eclipse. Her goal is to create an eternal eclipse, and erase the meaning of day and night. More details later
Expect more of this later! I really like this team

I know Team Star isn't an evil team in the traditional sense, but... then again... not many of the recent evil teams have been that way. Heck, the Fortune Sisters aren't even the traditional evil team, but they're the closest thing Legends Arceus had to an evil team (unless you count the Galactic Team but like... you are literally a member of that team, and while I'd be the first to punch both Beni and Kamado in the face... none of them are really evil at all)
My point tho is that Penny called to me as an "evil" team leader because, quite frankly, she was the only one to truly regret it. Oh sure... we've had villain leaders regret it when their teams got disbanded or in the notable case of Ruby and Sapphire when they realized that their actions put the world at risk but... Penny was the first to not only regret her actions but actively take part in the DEFEAT of her team, and her reasoning are entirely genuine!
Pokemon have stopped making "Evil Teams" since Team Skull. They can't be compared to Rocket, Galactic etc because that's not their role in the story and that's not what they're made for
(Yell just straight up sucks, it's useless and just annoying)
They're there and called "Team" because it's something typical for Pokemon games but they're completely different
They're just little secondary antagonists
Also, what Penny did wasn't bad. She never wanted the team to become like the bullies they fought, that's why she wanted to stop it with our help
(For now, the only real evil team leaders that apologize and make amends are Maxie and Archie, yes)
Dunno if I made myself clear, honestly ahah

Out of curiosity, who are some of the other hybrids on your team? As wary as I am about groups named "team"s, it is a good mission you all have.
@humming-pokemon-helpers
<•{Well of course! Obsidian dear may you please give me that picture}•>
<•{Here ya go Cal}•>

<•{These are the founding members of team morph they will not be named until they get their own official Introductions! Though as soon as we've join rotomblr I can see why you'd be wary of any groups that start with team though I can be sure that were not a evil team.}•>
<•{The one with Orange is me before I evolved, the one next to me with black hair is Obsidian she is not a hybrid along side the one with brown hair though below that girl is a Joltik hybrid and those two with fox ears are twins one's a kantonian Vulpix hybrid and one is a Aristonic hybrid}•>

Team Chess
Tumblr media
In a region themed around royalty, you need an evil team with a strong theme of their own.
Because of the White/Black dichotomy each color is assigned four types.
Steel, Fighting, Fairy, Ice
Poison, Dark, Ghost, Cosmic
Members
Pawns: The lowest rung of the team, they carry out most of the grunt work. They usually have a Fairy/Poison Podantia, the second stage of the normal/Poison Padant.
Rooks: They are the strategizers of the team, and will sometimes infiltrate unaffiliated locations as a means to secure the team's actions and keep them from being found out. They will have an Ice/Cosmic Golett or Golurk depending on where they're found.
Bishops: The scientists of the group. Will have a regional Fairy/Dark Pawniard when you first meet them. In Queen version they have a Cosmic/Dark Knightslash, or they will have a Fairy/Steel Bisharp in King version.
Knights: The admins of the group. Depending on the version you select, they will either have a Steel/Fighting Rapidash if you choose Queen or a Ghost/Dark Zebstrika if you choose King.
King and Queen: The leaders of the team. Queen will have a Sound/Fairy Operetta while King will have a Sound/Ghost Phantasm. Both evolve from Sound/Normal Trebletor dependent on gender.
Story
According to ancient texts, Merlithe and Nimunia were powerful pokemon, destined to choose a ruler whenever Orvana needed their aid. In many legends, this pair has been remarked as both being at odds with each other but also working together to ensure the region's future. These days, many consider such stories to merely be myths, due to the disappearance of Merlith and Nimunia centuries ago.
Team Chess, however, believes the pair still exist, hidden away as they wait for a champion. Both King and Queen consider themselves as rightful heirs, and thus there are those in the team who explicitly side with one or the other, an uneasy truce held in their search for the great beings.
Due to the fact that Merlith and Nimunia have not been found by any usual methods, Team Chess has begun focusing their efforts on dimensional pockets, forcing reality to tear further than it has in the past and playing god with probability. Eventually, Merlithe and Nimunia will be drawn to these pockets, awakened by their wavering stability and drawn in by the power keeping them open.
If you choose Pokemon Queen, King will break the truce upon capturing Merlith who appears first. From then, it is a race between you and Queen to find Nimunia, after which the two of you enter an uneasy truce of your own to battle King's forces. If you choose Pokemon King, the opposite will occur, and Merlith will be your legendary partner.
This is all for Team Chess, so tune in next time when I update my regional forms and fakemon!

I've seen people ask after the only mainline games, so I'm curious:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not including Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games as their evil teams are only three guys not an organization. Team Debonairs technically is a different group but they're Dim Sun post-game. And Great Rocket is not Rocket.
Enjoy the poll. Please reblog it for more votes, but don't worry about it.

Mad Max/Wasteland Pokémon AU
So I developed this AU in my mind and was having trouble getting it all down for like a couple months now. I've taken to affectionately calling it the Groudonverse but... Here goes. Sorry if this sounds rushed, I just had to get it out of my brain.
I'd been using Mad Max movies as background noise and all I can think about is an AU where the world was mostly modernized (like 1980s tech) and then Primal Groudon came around (I guess yay for team magma?) and fucked shit up. Now we got a desert planet with little pockets of humanity ruled by what we know as various villainous teams.
Everyone is alive at the same time and it's been about 40 years since the Primal Groudon event. As is the way of things, the way the world has gone is not Groudon's fault, humans just made the situation worse(TM), inciting wars over resources that basically got us to this point.
Meanwhile gym leaders/elite four and protagonists are leading resistances/just existing and trying to survive within the various settlements.
Vehicles in this universe are also helped along by various Pokémon due to components breaking down, so a lot of drivers team up with electric types to help power vehicles as batteries. You'll also find people modifying their cars to allow for their Pokémon to fight if they're attacked on the road.
(On a more humourous note, on a desert planet Palossand is all powerful.)
Now when I say the colonies are basically run by the villainous teams, this is actually not including Team Skull and Team Yell, because we can all acknowledge Aether and Macro Cosmos were more the villains in those respective games.
On to the juicy lil details.
The Settlements:
Rocket: The primary hoarders of remaining gasoline. They're on top of an oil field and managed to get their hands on some old refining knowledge from the before times. If you want your cars to run, you'll probably have to either attack their convoys or lift straight from them. As such they're known for a fairly ruthless security squad.
Magma: Weird religious cult that cares for the Groudon hybernating within their colony's depths. They don't really supply much to the colonies aside from guarding Groudon, but Groudon "basically started" the world down this path, so the others generally don't want to piss them off.
Aqua: if you're looking for water type Pokémon, Aqua has a monopoly. Literally you will not see water Pokémon without Aqua being involved somehow. As would be expected they're in charge of water distribution amongst the colonies. Just don't worry about the sleeping water legendary under their colony. Sure they COULD put the world back as it was, but they have so much power right now.
Galaxy: Specialize mostly in weapons and vehicles. Providing amunition, or helping to restore cars to a useable state. If it's metal, they can make weapons with it or make it move. A sort of "bullet farm."
Plasma: Mostly focus on breeding Pokémon to supply the various settlements with security. Think people that are obsessed only with breeding perfect IVs and imagine a whole group of people who cares about that and nothing else. They can't be the only people to keep Pokémon, so here it's mostly about controlling supply.
Flare: Mostly the pleasure colony and all that entails. Those that can afford leisure (gambling, drugs, sex work, alcohol) with their power can be found here when they want to have a good time. Also a hotspot for barter market places.
Aether: Focuses mainly on restoring medical supplies but also on chemical and biological warfare. For every disease they can cure they could also make everything worse for someone very quickly.
Macro Cosmos: Focuses mostly on Power/Nuclear Energy. This is to the detriment of the lower class citizens as, guess who experiences all the negative side effects/radiation poisoning? Those that can't afford to be protected of course.
All of these settlements have a complex set of interactions with each other where they're probably one bad day away from destroying everyone else, but recognize the value of each other. A very intricately balanced trade system.
Obviously none of these descriptions are 100%, every settlement has places they store their own supplies, have their own mechanics, etc. These are just specializations.
(Some of my assignments were intentional, some were just cause I knew we needed someone to handle a resource and no one else quite fit.)
Additional character notes:
-Team Skull basically are a little pocket for outcasts/burdens from various colonies. A lot of kids just left without parents to die, but Guzma wasn't having it. (So, if you're familiar with mad max lore, think the kids from the lost tribe from Thunderdome basically.) Incidentally a lot of the known protagonists in games end up here.
-Team Yell is more like a motorcycle-based nomadic scavenger group. Piers leads, showing Marnie how to survive and preparing her for when he can't be around anymore, as survival in the wasteland is never guaranteed. It's just a small group of spikey bikers doing their best and maintaining their freedom. They all escaped from the Macro Cosmos settlement to avoid radiation poisoning. They mostly survive by raiding supply convoys.
-You may be wondering where everyone's favorite train blorbo boys factor into this, and basically, when the world started going to pot, their parents were some of a group of people that went "fuck you we're going underground" and established a settlement in the subway system.
Not as creepy or dreary as it sounds, they actually managed to keep a lot of order down there. They've been surviving off a lot of low light vegetation, some gardens strategically planted under holes to the topside and Pokémon that inhabit the tunnels, as well has having their own little aquifer.
Things have been breaking down in the subway mechanisms/power supplies and since the knowledge is mostly lost the brothers are working together to get things back on track (hurr hurr). They're using Pokémon as a temporary fix until they can figure out something more permanent to provide power for the settlement they'd (accidentally) became defacto leaders of. The settlement basically is living in the cars of a train, mostly just needing to move it as a form of defense if the tunnels get breeched by anyone hostile. Just some hot little subterranean mechanics.

Team Eclipse.
Region name: Lunar Region.
Region: A region of eternal night as scientists created plants that could grow in moonlight, though there is some places that try to create artificial lights for the plants that couldn’t grow in the moonlight. The moon still changing to different fullness percents with times there is no moon visible.
Group information: These people are considered to be the evil group of the region. Their goal is to bring back the sun by any means. They will step on someone in their way if they must. They also believe that the royal family knows more about the mysterious reason the region is in eternal night. Having started the rumours, based on theories that they have, about the statues of an Umbreon and Espeon who were the first royal family pokemon were responsible for this. They often speak out against the royal family and try to rally other people towards their beliefs. They've continued the hunt for a way to reverse this, take down the royal family who they see as a threat, and to be able to bring back daytime for the region. The narrowed eyes have been adopted contacts by the group except for one of the founders; all started by how the leader of the founders eyes look.
Minimum age requirement to join: 17 years old.
More requirements to join: Must pass the interview of one of their bosses, willingness to look the same as each member, and to prove a desire to work towards the cause.
Symbol: The symbol chosen by the founders when they began this group. Whenever their symbol moves as an introduction, such as on TV, the moon and black sun move together from opposite sides until they click together. Then there will be a zoom into the black before a fade to show who will be the one representing them that time.
The founders: The founders are a group of three friends who came to believe that the royal family was hiding something. Eventually coming to the conclusion that they must know more about the eternal night than most think. Their cries weren't heard and they escaped jail, put in jail after trying to go after the king for answers, where they started the group. Using those that join, who are seen as grunts, to do a lot though not all of the work. They will still appear to talk to people on TV and such, using hacking to gain access, in order to spread word of their belief. There is a hierarchy in the founders with the brown haired one being on the lower end and the one to interview new members plus appear on Tv the most to relay messages they want shared, the male founder being second highest in command tending to do a lot more of managing the questionable science division plus preferring to not appear on TV if possible too proud to admit he has stage freight, and finally the ginger haired woman who is the leader of the founders who does a bunch of the hard work as she works hard to keep everyone together as one group even during stressful moments. Together they do work to try to move towards their cause, all truly believing that this is for the best of the region no matter who they have to trample to get there.
More about each founder will be published once I make a drawing of each of them to show off their outfits. Their names revealed at that point too, I will add links on here to them when they're finished so you can find them easily.
