hello! I saw your post about the G5 Hitch toy and as someone whose interest in G5 is only surface deep ATM but wants to know more bc My Little Pony is my special interest I was curious about the different lines of toys that have been released for G5. I have that exact Hitch toy as pictured, minus accessories, that I picked up in a thrift shop as a set with the rest of the ponies from the first movie and while I assumed that that was the standard size pony now I'm curious if there are different lines with different sizes. Apologies if this doesn't make sense as I'm very tired and thank you very much for your time! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
Hi there! MLP is my special interest too, LOL! You found the right person!! But you're in for a long answer, which you are probably prepared for, come to think of it!
tl;dr: There's multiple sizes, and the most common release seems to be the "brushable"/3" size, with the next biggest being the "styling size"/6".
It's tricky to 'officially' categorize the G5 line in general, I think, because it seems like every release is - IDK, maybe I'm just not in tune with the fandom stuff, but it's kinda random!? For starters though, Strawberry Reef is often a very good resource, although I know during the G4 line she fell behind a bit!
It does look like she has (almost) everyone covered so far, to my understanding!
In my mind, I kind of split them up into the "standard" line (the little guys with the jointed legs, the first line was released as the Crystal Adventure line I believe!), which would have been called the 'brushables' in the G4 line, but ... these all have sculpted hair! T_T And then there's some variations, like the Dollar General singles which do have brushable hair (yay!) except for Hitch, but they have no jointed legs. Strawberry Reef calls these "Regular Size 3"" which does imply that they're the 'standard' release.
And then I call the bigger ones (Strawberry Reef's "Large Size 6"") the styling size, because back in G4 days they were called that due to typically coming with a lot of styling/accessorizing type accessories. The little brushables might come with a comb or pet, but the big ones would get comb, clips, elastics, etc. (Not to be confused with the styling heads, of course, which you can see down at the bottom of SR's page!)
I believe (correct me if I'm wrong!) that the "movie set" of the 6" guys came in a big multipack with all of the characters, Mane Five and Sprout, and the way to tell Hitch apart is whether his hair is flocked or not. SR doesn't have him listed yet (so she is a little behind!), but the one I just got at the 99 Cent Store has flocked hair (and more accessories), and Hitch (and Sprout) from the group set from 2021 (as listed on SR's site) do not have flocked hair.
And that's not even getting into the Ponyville/Blind Bag/mini sized ones!! lmao!
ANYWAY, that was a big info-dump, but I hope it helped you and maybe anyone else who is confused! When I say styling size, that's mostly just me using a holdover from the G4 collector terms, since I don't think they call them that now. I think it's just like ... 'Sparkle Adventures'? But then they call the big multipack 'Shining Adventures', so I don't think there's any consistency there yet for collectors to latch onto. But there's several different sizes to find, and there's even GIANT ones, if you scroll down on SR's page! She has lots of fun info! Happy hunting!

I found am old, legit, playable version of the My Little Pony Gameloft game.
Today, I was playing Cookie Run on my computer, as it's available on there and I wondered if other mobile games were also available on PC.
The first that came to mind was the old Mlp G4 gameloft game that I use to play a few years ago. And since my phone would threaten to blow up if I even so much as thought of playing a mobile game, I decided it was worth a shot.
So off I went and Googled the game and behold it was available through the Microsoft game store I didn't even know was on m computer.
Tumblr media
Now, if you don't know the game well this looks all normal but this is DEFINITELY an older version. Here's the most recent version for reference.
Tumblr media
I go through the poor quality intro that still fills my heart with nostalgia, shaky picture I took included.
Tumblr media
And began to play.
At first I was surprised about how unchanged the intro and tutorial was but then I realized this WAS the old intro and tutorial.
The first thing that really started to convince me that this was an older version was the fact I could get gems from the minecart mini game, wich was changed several years ago in the most recent game.
Now, take a look at my game.
Tumblr media
I hadn't played in a while but I at least got to play a bit of the version from 2019. There were DEFINITE changes within the main area such as a costume thing by the train station and an events spot by the minecart game. Both of wich are able to be seen in the most recent versions but not in mine.
Another thing is the Apple family characters no longer have their own area.
Tumblr media
As you can see here, they can only be bought in Ponyville and the Crystal Empire isn't even an option! This is an OLD version and I really mean it.
I got to level 10 just to check one more thing and-
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The map doesn't even exist. You can't go to the Everfree forest or any of the other areas. They don't exist in this version.
This version of the game has remained unmaintained and untouched probably since the game came out. Since I'm uble to play the most recent game, I can't do much more comparison but I'm willing to record and upload a playthrough of this game where I get all the characters. Or as many as possible.
Just... don't tell Gameloft or Hasbro about this. This is a peice of history I wish to remain accessible. I wanted to share this knowledge but not have it erased, wich is why I'm not posting this information anywhere else. This is our little secret [tumblr].com. ;)

Doing the rewrite before the review anytime soon… (No Pictures this time)
My Little Pony: Generations is a 5 issue miniseries that served as the last time we would see the Gen 4 ponies. That changed with the upcoming MLP: Classic Reimagined with Little Fillies. Now to spoil my review, a big problem with the Generations Mini-Series is for a series about crossing over with Generation 1, there’s barely a crossover. The focus is more on characters inspired by Generation 1 and we don’t even see the Gen 1 ponies until the last page of the third issue. And even then they don’t really do much. So let’s see if I could make a better one.
Issue 1
This issue begins with a retelling of the MLP Movie. Basically how the Smooze were defeated by the Flutterponies. Now Reeka and Draggle have to clean up the mess of the Smooze since Hydia ordered them to, so they sent it into a dimensional void. In that void, the Smooze solidified itself into four S'monies. They split off into different directions, one going to the G4 Universe. In such a quick time, the G4 S’monie causes chaos in Ponyville and slowly spreads to the rest of Equestria. Twilight, visiting at the time, discovers that there’s an infection like in the original comic and its source was in the G1 Universe. Which leads to…
Issue 2
They arrive in Ponyland where they meet the Ponies in it. They explain what happened and a few went to get the Breezies since they think it could be as easy as it was. A small series of interactions before we get back into G4. The Flutterponies try but their wings aren’t as effective. So using the Power of the Elements within the G4 Ponies as well as the Flutterponies winds to remove the effect. They follow the remnants as it returns to their original source, the G4 S’Monie. He escapes into a portal, which the group follows…
To the Pony Tales universe. There they see the spread caused by the G1 Breezie. They try the same thing but it's harder this time since the two are together. Luckily the G1 Ponies had the Rainbow with them, helping the Flutterponies and G4 Ponies. Now with the two S'monies escaping to two different dimensions, the group splits up to follow them and hope that with the new friends they made in this world it can help them defeat the S'monies in the others.
Issue 3
The first half goes into the Gen 2 universe. There was only one game based on this, so this is where the creative juices can flow. With the group dealing with two S'monies, the Gen 1s and 2 Ponies discover the true Magic of Friendship to help defeat the S’monies of this world. Repeat for Gen 3. The two groups get back together since both the S'monies went to this world to escape. Which leads to…
Issue 4
The full Group of Ponies entering the world of Gen 5. To their surprise, nothing seems wrong. So a small group goes into Maretime Bay to investigate (1 per generation, with Twilight taking lead). They all look amazed at the surroundings, though the Pony Tales Pony thinks it's closer to their home. They are amazed to see Earth Ponies use magic. Twilight thinks it would probably be a better idea to ask the people if they noticed anything weird. So they go to a smoothie shack…
Where Sunny Starscout fangirls over Twilight. This confuses Twilight so Sunny invites them to the Lighthouse. The group meet and Sunny explains their deal. Twilight is worried because this means her reign eventually fails. But the other Generations say that it doesn’t have to be that way. The Jokers of each one also bring up Multiverse Theory.
Meanwhile, in the renovating Canterlogic, the S'monies regroup in more ways than one. And using the old Anti-Pegasi and Anti-Unicorn technology, they merge with each other and themselves to create a giant monster. The issue ends with it erupting out of the building.
Issue 5
Big Fight issue where The Party made up of numerous Generations take on the Giant Smooze. The more action oriented ponies do their best to keep their aim off the fleeing civilians while the support ponies help the civilians avoid danger. The Flutterponies are captured but a Pony Tales and G3 Pony manages to get them loose from the net. Sunny wishes the Lighthouse was stronger which leads Twilight to ask what she means. Sunny explains it's the source of all magic for poneis and that gives Twilight an idea. Twilight makes a big speech about Friendship and it inspires everyone. So inspired that the LightHouse glows brighter than ever before. In the other worlds, feeling their friends need help, give their emotional support. So with the Power of six different Pony Worlds, a Rainbow Blast covered all the Worlds, eliminating every single trace of Smooze in them. Not the good Smooze of G4, but the evil one.
They all say their goodbyes as they return home, as Twilight gives the metaphorical torch to Sunny. And it ends with Sunny and her friends knowing that together, there’s nothing they can’t accomplish.
So that would be my take. What did you think?

This Old Treehouse
Hey there, wet bag of mayonnaise. Well, our backlog pile is dwindling! I know I said we'll have MLP comics to last into the new year, but this is the last of the main series that I've got for now! Everything else is gonna be one-shots and spinoffs! I hope that's okay! If it's not, too bad, that's just how it is! Deal with it!
Here's the cover!
Tumblr media
Hey, it's more Izzy! You guys like Izzy, right? She's the best thing out of G5. That's why we're giving her two issues in a row! In fact, both are about her crafting tendancies as well. Once again, that's really all there is to say about it! I like MLP and all, but a lot of the time, the covers don't give me a lot to work with. Basically it boils down to "Is your favourite character on the cover? Maybe buy this issue!" And I mean, I guess that works for consumers, but us critics need more material than that~
We open in Bridlewood, which is a rare sight in one of these comics. Just like FiM starting in Ponyville, you kind of expect G5 comics to start in Maretime Bay. So I guess Izzy is keeping a second home in Bridlewood, even though she also lives at the Brighthouse. Like, I expect Zipp and Pipp to be second-home-owning bougies, but Izzy literally lives in a tree. Maybe the Brighthouse is her second home, but either way the point stands. Speaking of second houses, though, the string decoration she's trying to hang snaps, and goes flying into an abandoned treehouse nearby.
Man, that string must've had some serious tension, because it launches, like, a hundred feet or more. Maybe her magic increased the elasticity or something. Either way, she mad, and she goes to try and retrieve it. She gets a big spook inside the abandoned treehouse by a huge shadowy figure, but of course it turns out to be a bunch of animals. The animals flee once revealed, but them smashing through the boarded-up window gives her the opportunity to examine her surroundings. Clearly Izzy is not satisfied with how much property she owns, and promptly decides to fix this place up for her friends as well.
And I do mean "for", not "with". She intends the whole treehouse to be a surprise, scavenging some items from the alleys of Maretime Bay, narrowly avoiding Zipp in the process. She spends all day on it, until she even falls asleep in the treehouse. The animals watch her all night, like adorable voyeurs. She wakes up marveling at how nice the place looks, and invites her friends to come over and see. And in spite of the rainy weather, they drop whatever they were doing and come all the way out to Bridlewood to see her surprise.
It turns into a surprise for her as well, as when she opens the door to the treehouse again, all the cushions and decorations have been ripped up and smashed. Just general devastation. Perhaps these adorable animals running around the place are to blame? Izzy's in tears, big disappointed that forest critters would be so hateful to her art. Well, Hitch is here now, so why doesn't he just… ask them? You know, use that special power that apparently only he has for whatever reason? Yeah, let's do that! That should advance the plot!
Tumblr media
So, as you might expect, this place isn't abandoned, at least on a technical level. Nope, these animals live here. Figures a property-acquiring pony like Izzy would disregard their squatter's rights. She sadly turns to leave, having been driven off by small animals, when Hitch tells her to wait. A few more lines from the squirrel and they agree the treehouse does need some work. So why not get some free labour out of these home invaders~? And then we'll totally "share" the space when it's done! Yeah, that's the ticket!
So then we get a big montage of all the ponies fixing up the treehouse. Like, the animals don't even pitch in, they just sit on the ponies and supervise. What do you think this is, a Disney film~? Zipp fixes some shelves, Pipp figures a windowsill would make a good mini-karaoke stage, and so on. Hitch, meanwhile, actually turns some shelves into animal beds. Clearly the only one putting some thought into who actually is going to be living here. And so the comic ends with the ponies and animals sharing the same space in peace--for now…
All the coloniser and landlord stuff is mostly jokes for my amusement, but still. I don't think this is a great issue. Oh, sure, it's a cute story about ponies, but they do barge their way into someone else's living space and proceed to make it their own. Like, even when purportedly working together, the ponies do all the work and continue to cater it to their tastes. Like, that "mini karaoke stage" Pipp builds? It's mini to her scale, she's the one using it in the end. Animals don't care about karaoke, Pipp! Only Hitch had the right spirit here. Like, you only need a slight rewrite to tweak this one. If they fixed up the place in the animals' favour and decided it wasn't their place to butt in, I think that would've been a much better story.

Pointless Ponies Update
(http://mlp.derpynews.com/pointless-ponies-update-4/)
Derpy by AshleyNicholsArt
Bronies,
With under six weeks to go until Ponyville Ciderfest (October 20-22 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee), I have decided to sweeten the pot once more prizes.
I have already promised that if I can get at least 100 respondents to each of the five sets of questions, then the prize(s) for the winning team will be in excess of $25 in value. That winning team does go to the Pointless Final where I once gave away cash prizes if they could get a pointless answer (one where out of 100 people surveyed, 100 people did not think of). So for the Pointless Final, the prizes(s) will be over $30 in value AND will be related to the Movie! So for teams, there is a chance to win in excess of $55 in prizes on Friday, October 20th at 2pm in the Caramel Room (Lakeshore C)!
Again, I need at least 100 respondents for each set of questions which the links are below
6A:  http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3753409/Pointless-Ponies-6A
6B:  http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3774608/Pointless-Ponies-6B
6C:  http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3784838/Pointless-Ponies-6C
6D:  http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3801333/Pointless-Ponies-6D
6E:  http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3814583/Pointless-Ponies-6E
Again, feel free to look up the information on either the MLP Wiki or elsewhere. You’re participation is important and greatly appreciated to make this show a success at Ponyville Ciderfest.
That’s all for now. More later.
StatManDan
Fillies and Gentlecolts,
It has come to my attention that my approach to these survey questions for “Pointless Ponies” has not come off well. In fact, some have called it ‘intimidating.’ With that in mind, I have combined some of the previous questions and created a single survey.
The first six questions have multiple answers to them and you have 100 seconds to come up with as many answers as you can. After 100 seconds, the survey will automatically direct you to the next page and question. Please feel free to look up information on places like the MLP Wiki. Otherwise, just come up with the first few answers that come to mind.
Questions 7-9 are six-part questions. Each part has one answer. You still have 100 seconds to complete these questions. Again, you can look up the answers on the MLP Wiki or someplace else.
At most, this survey will take you 15 minutes from start to finish.
I’m also streamlining the offer for Ponyville Ciderfest (October 20-22 at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee) for which “Pointless Ponies” will take place on Friday, October 20th, at 2pm in the Caramel Room (Lakeshore C).
If I can get a total of 100 respondents to this survey, then I’ll make the grand prize in the “Pointless Final” in excess of $30 in value AND it will be merchandise related to the Movie.
So in the hopes to smoothing things out, I’ve combined some of the segments of my surveys over the past few weeks and combined it into one survey that will take no more than 15 minutes of your time. If you have taken some of the mini-surveys already, feel free to this the new survey.
Your participation is important for this show to work at Ponyville Ciderfest and is greatly appreciated.
That’s all for now. More later.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Pinkie Pie pancake art video by Sonya's Pancakes   Watch us create our MLP Pinkie Pie pancake art on youtube here: MLP Pinkie Pie pancake art video What Pancake Art should we do next? Comment below and let us know what YOU think! We've been My Little Pony fans ever since we were young girls. Although the original My Little Pony series has always been dear to my heart, the current My Little Pony Friendship is Magic series has a charm to it that no one should pass up. The My Little Pony Friendship is Magic animated series is based on the Hasbro's My Little Pony franchise. The series stars a unicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle, a student of Princess Celestia, the ruler of the magical land of Equestria. The princess gives Twilight the task of learning about friendship and sends her and her assistant, a baby dragon named Spike, to Ponyville. There, they meet some interesting ponies, including action-loving Rainbow Dash, glamorous Rarity, hard-working Applejack, timid Fluttershy, and hyperactive Pinkie Pie. Together, they go on adventures, solve various problems, and learn about the magic of friendship. The My Little Pony series has expanded into many different spin offs, movies and mini series, including one of their most popular movies as of yet: My Little Pony Equestria Girls. The driving force behind the My Little Pony series has always been toys. Even as a little girl I would play with the original My Little Pony figures and watch the My Little Pony animated cartoons. Popular My Little Pony Merchandise including the new My Little Pony Fashion Run Away figures currently in stores, and more! We're inspired to create a My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Pinkie Pie pancake art. My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Pinkie Pie history: Pinkie Pie is a female Earth pony and one of the main characters of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. Her father and mother call her by her full name, Pinkamena Diane Pie, in The Cutie Mark Chronicles, Hearthbreakers, and the chapter book Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza Party! Pinkie is energetic and sociable, and she represents the element of laughter. She works at Sugarcube Corner and lives on the bakery's second floor with Gummy, her pet toothless baby alligator. She writes and performs many songs, and she is the source of many of the comical and cartoonish gags in the show. She is called Ponka Po in some merchandise. Woot! Enjoy our My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Pinkie Pie pancake art!

Hi, can you help me? I really like my little pony dolls and ive been wanting to start a collection of all the generation four gals if I can (i would settle for the mane 6 and a few others), however i have no idea where to start or how to find any, and on amazon i have only find weird knockoffs that have hard silicon hair. I also want to have an archive of all thr launched dolls, both mlp and equestria girls, but again, i have no idea how to research or really do any of this, do id really really like some pointers, or if you dont have any, for you to point me to someone who does.
Hi! Oh gosh, sorry for the late reply!! I'm not great about checking my Asks, and I only seem to get notifications for messages about half the time! >.>
So... it's a funny thing! Because when I was building most of my early collection in the early 2000s, the way to do it was to buy big eBay lots, and sell/trade any extras you didn't want from there. But now with eBay prices skyrocketing, and more folks getting into collecting/flipping pony lots, prices are all over the place - mostly ridiculously high.
Prices for G4, at least, seem to still be pretty low! More people are selling than buying. So if you're looking for G4 ponies, I highly recommend looking for eBay lots. I've still gotten some good deals there, even on harder-to-find ponies like G4 Minty. There's a fair amount of people just flipping them from the thrift, or selling childhood/post-fandom collections, so you can get good prices for them still. (G1 is less so! And G3 seems to be creeping up as well.)
I also suggest Mercari! Mercari is, unlike Facebook pickups, generally assumed to be for mailing items, so although there's some stiff competition, you can still find good deals! You can use that as an app or on their website! (If you are good at IRL stuff, you could always try the thrift stores yourself, or try local flea markets/toy fairs/Facebook sales! G4 is plentiful among toy collectors, especially those who trade secondhand, and you might be able to get some deals!)
I'm curious about what hard silicon hair ponies you're finding! I took a quick look, and I think you may be seeing the Ponyville/blind bag figures, which are minis. When I look on Amazon I still see some G4 stuff, but it's mostly 3rd party sellers, so it's very expensive. I still scroll through the Amazon Warehouse from time to time - you won't find older ponies, but if there's any newer releases you like, they may have those a little cheaper with a banged-up box! I found a cool Cutie Mark Crew set for $6 on there recently!
The most well-organized and comprehensive site, at least for the first few years, was Strawberry Reef (here's her release list by year), but I believe she fell behind in the past few years, since it only goes up to 2013. (She may have skipped G4 in favor of G4.5? I see links for G5 stuff there now.) MLP Merch is keeping up admirably, but I'm not sure if they have a chronological guide. There may also be some stuff in the various MLP wikis, but I haven't done a lot of research on that yet!
I suggest eBay by and large, but I also suggest checking out the MLPArena - it's one of the last remaining pony forums, and there's still folks selling and trading there! MLPTP is also still going, but they seem to be less busy than the Arena. I'd suggest Facebook, but the crowd there is Real Bad, and a lot of the folks who've become popular there were previously banned for being scammers on the forums. So if you join MLP groups there, be wary, and pay very strictly with Paypal goods/services - no friends/family, no Facebook pay. (Neither will give you ANY level of buyer protection!) There was once a feedback group for Facebook, but it turned out that it was run by some of the same scammers who got banned from the forums.
I'm trying to think of what else to say - I've found some nice and cheap G4 ponies on instagram flash sales, and I've also found some overpriced G4 ponies there! It really just depends on who's selling and how popular/packed their sales are. Jupiter.magia, for example, is a very popular, friendly seller; I got some great basic G4 ponies from her! But her sales posts would get claims within like .05 seconds. Ditto for Kristwoforks, a popular thrift reseller. She does a lot of sales, and has a LOT of fans! (And then of course, there's the classic "super popular seller who everyone loves but will occasionally scam people out of their items and attack anyone who speaks up", which I've personally run into in the past, as well as witnessed my friends get scammed by multiple Big Names.) Instagram, sadly, isn't a real sales platform, so there's no protection if things go south; your only recourse is through Paypal, and there's no real way to leave feedback, so scammers thrive there, as they do on Facebook. You have to be very careful and mindful of your claim deadlines, so I generally warn beginning buyers away from there until they gain a little more experience, and can pick up when someone's giving off bad vibes. I've found most of my IG buys from people I follow; they'll say, 'oh I got this last week from X!' so I'll go follow X's page for their next sale; or Y will get their sale post boosted on my friend's story, so I'll go check them out too. It's much safer IMO to find sellers by this sort of word-of-mouth, because then you know someone who had at least one good interaction with them.
I gave you a LOT of information here, ha ha, but I'm doing my best to be comprehensive! You've decided to collect G4 at a very good time, because with the end of the series, folks are losing interest, and selling off their collections. Not everyone of course, but quite a few! I wish you the best of luck in your future collecting adventures! And feel free to pop back around if you get stuck or have more questions!

The Fast and the Friendliest
Hey there, romantic encounters with mayonnaise jars. Well, it's time to get into another MLP review, don't you think? It's just what we do around here. And it's infinitely more enjoyable than any New 52 reviews, let me tell you~
Here's another great cover:
Tumblr media
Not quite as awesome as the previous issue's, but still a good cover. I admit I don't know who that purple monkey in the corner is, but if I know anything about Transformers, fans would probably prefer if he was a truck. But ye, Flutters loves the animals. Sure, we all do. But you know what these animals lead to, right? It's gotta be the best one, right~?
So it's a regular, pleasant day on the outskirts of Ponyville. Fluttershy is entertaining her guest and close friend Discord, when the conversation is disrupted by an enormous explosion outside. Discord promises it's no trick, and they take a look outside to discover Soundwave has landed in Fluttershy's backyard. Neither Flutters or Discord can really comprehend what Soundwave actually is, but once he starts ejecting his tapes from his chest, she gets way into it. After all, if he's caring for all these animals (and Frenzy), he must be friend material.
Fluttershy heads out first, introducing herself and explaining her interest in the newcomer. Soundwave assesses her threat level as negative. Not so with Discord, easily reading the wily draconequus as a high-level threat and opening fire. Discord dodges, and turns himself into a robot as well to try and comprehend Soundwave better. He understands changing shapes, and he understands shifty deceptions. But Soundwave is still like nothing else he's encountered. Soundwave, for his part, keeps suggesting Discord tone down the absurdity or be eliminated.
Fluttershy, meanwhile, is having a grand time chatting about her exploits and life story to the mini-cassette menagerie. Ratbat, Laserbeak, and Ravage actually listen intently, but Frenzy is getting a bit antsy. Flutters notices a scratch on Ravage’s nose and begins to fret. Frenzy protests that it's just battle damage, but Fluttershy takes out a soothing balm cream anyway. This is too much for Frenzy, and he swats the cream out of her hoof, knocking her backwards and causing her to fall sqaurely on her rump. This is played for exactly as much drama as if he just shot her~
Fluttershy is legitimately upset now. She did honestly try to be nice and make the others feel welcome. But you know who isn't welcome? Bullies. Bullies are never welcome at Casa de Flutters. Discord lends a hand by turning all the animals on Fluttershy's property into robots as well, to even the odds, and they turn and swarm over Soundwave. This is quite a Squirrel Girl victory. Even the other mini-cassettes turn on Frenzy, who protests that they shouldn't let this ruin their friendship. And it's that word that sets Flutters back on the rails. Soundwave concedes, friendship is superior. Even Frenzy apologises, and the group continues to chat and hang out, even as the rest of the Decepticon forces order them to report to their coordinates~
For our second story, we start with Rainbow Dash doing a relax in the clouds, munching on an apple. Suddenly she's blown from her cloud by something moving very fast. The big red blur, noticing it's knocked Rainbow over, stops and unfolds back into a robot shape. This is Windblade, who's not as new as Gauge but still in my "unfamiliar" territory. She and Rainbow immediately hit it off over mutual admiration of each other's wings, then both propose they are the fastest. Well, you can see where this is going, right~?
Yep, it's a race! So where it's headed is the finish line, I guess! Hey, a little friendly rivalry and healthy competition is still in service of promoting the comraderie between the two worlds. And while Dashie is very fast, even she can't quite keep up with jet engines constantly. However, both her pride and her determination keep her going. She can't let down her friends while they're cheering her on, after all. No sooner does she catch up with Windblade, though, does trouble appear: it's Misfire and a rainbow of Rainmaker repaints. I barely know Misfire, don't expect me to know any of the knockoffs~
Misfire, of course, doesn't like the idea of Cybertronian superiority being threatened. Rainbow Dash, for her part, is not impressed. She works with Windblade, first tricking them into thinking she's slower than she really is, allowing her to trip them up with fancy flying. And despite the difference in technology, Rainbow somehow understands the concept of the heat-seeking missiles the Rainmakers are shooting. She and Windblade wait it out, then quickly get out of the way, allowing the missiles to pass them and blow up Misfire and friends instead. He really lives up to his name, huh? Satisfied, Windblade and Rainbow agree to a tie~
Like last time, there’s nothing super deep here, just a fun crossover. Pairing Soundwave with Fluttershy is a stroke of genius. You gotta love characters who match in unexpected ways. The other way to do it is characters that match in very expected ways, which is what the Rainbow Dash story is instead. Both are quite good, and again, a lot of fun. Excellent~
Next issue: Applejack’s adventure, and then the conclusion of our crossover~
