the way you two met is unclear, nor does it matter, really. he felt a magnet pull to you. not in a 'smitten' or 'love at first sight' way, but in an intrigued and 'i wonder how far i can bend them until they break' way. totally normal. it wasn't until barnaby pointed out his growing fascination with you that he was more than comfortable acting on it.

romancing? oh, do you mean terrorizing? his way of showing affection would be letting you know he's there. always watching, and also sending you suspicious packages and...love letters'. these letters can range from...slightly affectionate threats to being downright cryptic. all lovingly written in red ink and cursive and brought to your mailbox! how did he get your address? haha! don't worry about it! (except maybe do.)

he took the advice from barnaby, by the way. resident 'lady killer'.(he is anything but in fact he likes men.) blame that guy.

when he finally and inevitably does make the decision to start seeking you out, it's small things at first. he shows up to your job in his usual disguise accompanied by howdy, of course. if you go to church he shows up there. 'small world.', he says. on the inside he smirks when you believe him. he totally hasn't followed you, figured out your schedule, where you live-- your friends and family...who would go looking for you if you went 'missing'. it's a shame really. happens all too often in the city you live in. easily covered up too. money and blackmail do wonders when the cops are just as human as the citizens.

more than anything, he loves seeing what makes you tick. shy away. what causes you to avert your eyes. he found out pretty quickly you don't like being stared at and felt joy. he loves staring. especially at you. he also loves it when you try and brush off how uncomfortable you really are. cute.

keep in mind that when he does come to you in his disguised form, you do NOT know it's him. in fact, if anything he would make sure that you don't know what he (wally) looks like. he would send you letters from the comfort of his home, and have someone else mail them. watch you from the shadows, or just have howdy do it. he does not have to go out of his way to have access to you.

at the end of the day his goal is simple: befriend you. make you trust him. make you his. let it be by taking your eye and making you a part of the neighborhood, or by keeping you locked away...or maybe he'll just keep you living in fear for the rest of your days. who knows. either option sounds entertaining to him.

one day, you open up to him about your stalker...and he can barely contain the joy he feels at how scared you sound. he comforts you, of course. when you tell him how you feel about the letters and packages, he almost slips up in his charade, so close to letting you know how he felt making them. he resists, of course, letting you think you just confided in someone trustworthy...nope!

the closer you two get, the more sides he sees of you. the more sides he sees of you the more he begins to realize you're not just another bird to cage. his interest in you grows. it's almost maddening. he learns more and more about you from you, and other people and sources all while keeping him and his neighborhood out of sight. you don't need to know about them...not yet.

he loves how alive you are, mostly. you have free will, and you love doing things with it. you have hobbies and friends, and you keep in touch with family (even if you don't he finds that interesting too dw). he thinks you're lovely, and your eye would be lovelier if it was his. bonus points if you have some sort of eye deformity/birth defect (lazy eye, messed up pupil etc)

the stalking stops for a bit. everything seems calm. you feel like you can just live your life again, and everything feels like it's normal. you start going out again and having fun. you meet up with someone. what you didn't know, is that just because the letters and packages have stopped, doesn't mean he has.

one thing leads to another, and you receive a new letter. same cursive. same ink. same seal. you open it, to see pictures:

of you, and them. on the piece of paper nestled and folded in the envelope, written in cursive is a message: '𝓌𝒶𝓉𝒸𝒽 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻, 𝓃𝑒𝒾𝑔𝒽𝒷𝑜𝓇'

of course, just like he planned, you're back into his arms again. where you belonged. seeing you with someone else made him a little more sure of what kind of emotions he had for you. you were no different to howdy to him. that was clear now. you needed someone to keep you in line and in check, otherwise, you would wander off off of the face of the earth. that was not good. you wouldn't have to walk aimlessly for much longer. he would give you a purpose. you're too pathetic as you are now to be any use to him besides eye candy.

in the end, he realizes that he has to have you, by any means. you have to be his, under his wing, and make yourself useful like his other neighbors. like howdy. however you choose to do that is your choice, but what you don't have a choice in is having something to do with him. he will be in your life. either by shadow or memory. waking, or nightmare. he's content with both.

sooner or later, you and his 'other self' would become close enough for you to be invited to his house. you didn't question how big it was seeing as how you know he's a famous painter. nor did you question how many people lived with him. soon, the choice would have to be made. what will he do with you? will he keep you, or let you go free? only time will tell.

for that possessed doll au, how tall are the dolls?

Ooh, thanks for asking! The dolls are pretty variable in size as a group, I think the only ones that are really nailed down are Robin (the shortest by far) and batman himself (well over two meters, the tallest).

But outside of that it's mostly up in the air. Nightwing and red hood are the next tallest, of course, but then I'm thinking black bat, then signal and red Robin, and then spoiler, and finally Robin.... *counts on fingers* I can't remember if Alfred has a doll body. I don't think so, though he has one in meat marionettes (the combination au made by me and the wonderful @puppetmaster13u), and the others like Kate and Terry can slot in wherever.

The robot dogs do live with them and go on patrol though ^^. The flesh pets stay with the civilian identities, it's a working system.

But generally all the dolls are a good chunk taller than their own human heights (and the average human in general), with the exception of the shortest three of course lol. Robin is the only one shorter than its puppeteer, but that's hardly a surprise! They're pretty heavy too, mind, being almost entirely solid wood and metal XD.

BUT I WANT THE 'EVENTUALLY' TO BE NOW!!! I WANNA SEE THE REUNION BETWEEN EMMET AND INGO... ;_;

The scene is this: It's two and a half years after Ingo left the station. Emmet is... mostly getting along okay. As well as can be expected. One day, he receives an invitation to a battle conference in Sinnoh. He hasn't been to one since Ingo left, and he thinks it will be a good change of pace. He takes some vacation days, and heads out.

(In the back of his mind, he remembers that Ingo apparently booked a ticket for Sinnoh. He tries not to think about it. He doubts they will run into each other. He's not sure if he wants to or not.)

(He is lying. He wants to.)

The battle conference goes verrry well. He loses to Champion Cynthia, but he got her down to her last Pokemon. The match was verrry fun. It's enough to put Ingo as the furthest thing from his mind-

-so of course, that's when runs into Ingo.

He almost doesn't recognize his brother at first. A strange thought, since they're twins. Did he dye his hair black? And the color contacts- is he that desperate not to resemble him anymore? And it's something about that that makes Emmet lash out, to say something unkind. Ingo has the audacity to look hurt for a moment- before he says something equally unkind.

(This isn't right. Emmet wanted to apologize for not noticing his brother's issues. He didn't want to fight.)

But they're fighting now, yup! It's funny. He doesn't remember his brother having this much of a temper. Seeing Ingo angry was such a rarity... but he guesses he never knew his brother after all, did he?

It's a child who comes and stops them, although she takes a double take when she looks at him. She clearly knows Ingo, but did he never even tell her he had a twin? This angers Emmet more, and he snaps at Ingo again- but this time Ingo just keeps his mouth shut, and does the worst thing he possibly could-

-he turns away.

(Emmet doesn't notice the unnatural way his shadow twists as he does. He's not thinking about that.)

The girl looks at him for a long moment, before running after his brother. He thinks he hears her call him Uncle. Hah. So Ingo ran away and started a family. Well, good for him. He doesn't care. If he never sees him again, it will be too soon.

(So why does he cancel his return flight back to Unova?)

Anyway, all the gods are unable to do anything with their divine presence like, they CAN still manifest and be seen and interact, but their mere presence is quite frankly terrifying. Kinda like biblical angels and stuff

Like, Venti doesn't wanna scare people, or even directly let them know he's there since he wants to keep his promise of distance from their affairs. The way the whole vessels thing works is that a god could manifest in a mortal's body. It's a lot like what Nahida does with projecting her consciousness, except they don't exchange bodies and the owner is still aware (tho the mortal can still lose consciousness sometimes while the god is the one taking the wheel). Most of the time the god is another presence in their head and they can freely switch between each other

Nameless Bard being in the au is a mystery that will never get addressed though

Do you think Home and Bardaby would end up- if not friends than at least allies eventually in your fantasy au? I think it would be a real shame if Wally's best friend & his patron couldn't find some common ground. Maybe they could both keep an eye on Wally for each other? I know Home is literally Always There with him, but there are some human(puppet?) issues that an elder god just wouldn't really get. idk, I just think it's a bit of a shame that they don't get along, since Barnaby's the only other person besides Wally to actually interact with home in the original ARG.

oh no yeah! they do Eventually! it just takes a while and some work. Home in this au is pretty protective of Wally for Reasons, and it takes a lot to make them go "hey, you're chill. i like you". unfortunately Barn is also protective (not nearly to Home's extent but yk) so they naturally clash where they should get along

i have the full process In My Mind but essentially: Home, if given express permission, can "possess" Wally (put in quotes bc technically Wally is already possessed by them). this happens either when Wally wants a fucking break / is overwhelmed and wants Home to take the wheel (Wally's consciousness is kinda 'turned off' - it falls into a deep sleep!), or if Home does Wally a favor - they trade the favor for a set amount of possession time. because Home would like to have a body & make the decisions from time to time <3

during one of these "Home has the wheel" periods, i imagine that some shit goes down that forces Barnaby & Home to work together w/o a mediator. and during this time they're trying to get through this while keeping Wally's body relatively unharmed - Barnaby experiences a nice disconnect of "this is Wally but its also not Wally & its also a being i don't like very much bc its a dick-". but through the power for Forced Interaction, they realize that yeah, they have common ground, but they're also not too bad :]. catch Wally taking the wheel and being perplexed at how Barnaby is all "hey say hi to Home for me!" or asking for Home's opinion on things.

I want to talk about/draw angst to do with the All Ancients Disappear AU, specifically with the Dark Cacao family (other characters have angst, but they’re the ones I’m fixated on), but I can’t because I don’t have designs for them yet

I’ve at least solidified stuff for Dark Choco’s kid in this AU. He has a son named Dark Syrup Cookie, who’s made of both chocolate and strawberry syrup. He’s 8-10 years old and he listens to and trusts his father (even though he shouldn’t). He does not yet know that his reason for existence is to be a vessel for the sword (but he will eventually)

#if I want to break down the angst #basically Dark Cacao first is sad that his son became an evil emperor #but knows that he has to be stopped and resigns himself to defeating him #only to realize his son was possessed the whole time and has basically been someone’s dough puppet for decades #and eventually the SJS is defeated and Dark Choco is freed #but he spent most of his life as the SJS’s puppet that he’s barely a person #which is something Dark Choco grapples with #as well as Dark Cacao since this is what his son has become in his absence #and that’s not even mentioning Dark Syrup who now knows his entire life to be a lie #and everything he knew and thought about his father was false and a ploy to use his body #he doesn’t know his real father #and the only father he did know was strong willed and powerful #so seeing what’s supposed to be his father be as he’s learned “weak and vulnerable” scares him #sorry I just want to dump #cookie run #cookie run au #dark cacao cookie #dark choco cookie #cookie run oc #dark syrup cookie #all ancients disappear au #random stuff

Basically after fwhip stole his sheriff hat, Jimmy found himself at a loss. Not knowing what else to do he tried to ask Pix for advice as the one true neutral party on the server. But when he arrived in front of the mausoleum, Pix wasn’t there. Out of curiosity Jimmy started exploring the secret crypt storage area and accidentally found a room hidden behind a painting. Inside was a display containing a lone, glowing red crystal shard.

The shard clearly contained a lot of power, Jimmy could feel it drawing him closer to it…

Unfortunately Henry knows too much as Mike and Charlie manage to talk to him before William was able to grab him. So to take care of the issue, William framed Henry for Mike’s murder. Poor Henry is stuck in jail, knowing a the real crazy killer is out there and terrified what William will do with the knowledge that ghosts are real and can possess animatronics.
