i loveeeee bajoran women. not in a creepy dukat racial fetish sex slave way, but in a they represent the quintessential experience of womanhood by cherishing their strength and vulnerability and balancing obstinance with openness way. also in a gay way.

My tax refund is going to more than cover the costs of filing for my legal name change. Once it comes in I’m going to file the appropriate paperwork.
Finally, I have both the money and opportunity (ie living away from unsupportive family) to get my new name!!
Very excited. 😊
My new first and middle name are gonna be:
First: Steven
(no nicknames like “Steve” if I can help it. I like my full name. I was like this about my deadname as a kid too.)
This is the third first name I chose. I chose it bc being involved in watching Steven Universe was part of the pivotal turn in my life
It may be a kids show but the themes of the show and character of Steven and especially Rebecca Sugar fighting to get their show made as she envisioned, all of that genuinely inspired me to be my true self more outwardly.
Middle: Ray
The second first name I chose! My original first name was Fae when I first identified as basically “I know I’m not a girl”.
I chose Ray because my mom used to sing “You are my Sunshine” to me in the car when I’d get fussy or to rock me to sleep. Being a ray of sunshine to others - it being kind and uplifting- is also something I try to aim for in life.
I changed it to my middle since certain family members used my cousin having a similar nickname as an excuse to deadname me. Plus o didn’t like how it was potentially androgynous.
Last initial: W.
Keeping my last name bc I like how it sounds altogether. Plus, I’m attached to it, even with my complicated feelings with family.

wow cool I love that someone intentionally hid the photo gallery opening cards that feature two pregnant trans men on the front lmao sometimes ppl drop off stuff here like "is it ok if we give you some of these and let people grab info" and this one in particular was by a trans artist who does photography of other trans people. I walked out to refill my water and noticed they were missing-- the stack was hidden under some other leaflets up front about prep / npep fuck cis men. FUCK THEM!!!!!!!!! fuckin baby bitch, so sensitive you cant even look at a PHOTOGRAPH of two trans men lmao rrrrrrrrrrrrrGH god so, I put them in an even more visible place than last time :) die mad tbh! I love that these entitled, bratty motherfuckers attempt to flirt with me all the time. and then they pull this type of shit, fully unaware that I'm trans wow it's almost like your idea of transness is wrong, and your idea that you'd 100% know how to clock a trans person is wrong also funny, that! you're flirting with a trans dude, who knows full well that you'd be disgusted and potentially want to kill him if you knew he was trans!

hi, can you explain how someone can be ace and demi at the same time?
This is a neat question! I can think of a few different possible answers to this, depending on the person:
For one option, "ace" is often used as an umbrella term, and can encompass the whole asexual spectrum -- demisexuality, gray-asexuality, cupiosexuality, lithosexuality, fraysexuality, and more. It doesn't only have to refer to "fully 100% never ever experiences sexual attraction asexual" -- someone is more than welcome to call themselves ace if they experience sexual attraction rarely or only in specific circumstances, as compared to the societally expected "norms" of allosexuality. This is like how "gay" is often used for any same-sex attraction or relationship or issue -- I say "I'm so gay" when I see a pretty lady on TV, even though I technically identify as panromantic. Or "gay marriage" or "gay rights" are terms used for issues that also affect people who are bi, pan, omni, etc.
Another option is that the "demi" part might be referring to demiromanticism rather than demisexuality -- that's how I personally identify! I am asexual and never experience sexual attraction, but I do experience romantic attraction on occasion, if I have a strong emotional bond with the person. I've only had a handful of crushes in my life, and often go years between serious romantic interests, but they do happen.
A third possibility is that someone might change their labels over time. When I was first learning about asexuality and the asexual spectrum as a teen, I didn't have a full understanding of the distinction between romantic and sexual attraction, or between sexual attraction and sexual action. I was open to having sex, even if I didn't really understand the appeal, and I knew that I had crushes, so I settled on the term demisexuality as a space between the level of attraction that my classmates seemed to be feeling, and the complete lack of any kind of attraction or sexual interest that I thought asexuality was. Over time, I learned more about these terms and about myself, and determined that I was in fact fully asexual, regardless of whether I experience romantic attraction or engage in sexual activity.
And finally, I am a firm believer that people have the right to label themselves however feels most true to them, and they are inherently right by virtue of their identity being theirs. If someone says they're ace and demi, and those labels feel good and right and true to them and help them feel real and valid -- I'm not going to tell them they're not. I'm just going to be glad they found a word that makes them feel whole and a community that makes them feel accepted.
Thanks for your question and for giving me an opportunity to soapbox a little haha, hope this helps! I'm always happy to chat about my experiences with asexuality and the perspectives and community and self-love that I've developed through those experiences :)

This video is important.
We all watched the hbomb vid (or at least got a summary of it) explaining how Somerton stole much of his "research" word-for-word from other queer creators and writers.
Okay, so, we unsubscribe from his channel; we've done our part; everything is cool now, right?
Unfortunately, no. The biggest damage Somerton did may not have been to those he stole from. Rather, it was inventing large swathes of LGBTQ+ history out of whole cloth, tinged with his own incel-adjacent brand of misogyny and weird anti-establishment centrism.
Worse, many of the "facts" Somerton invented are freely circulating on the internet, even on this website, and they are coloring how queers - and especially young queers - understand our own history.
So it's not enough that Somerton's empire burns and he flees with his tail between his legs. We need to actively purge all of the nonsense he injected into the discourse - out of his own personal agendas and resentments - in the years he was posing as an intellectual authority (perhaps the intellectual authority) on our history and experiences.
So give it a watch. It's not nearly as long as the hbomb video and it's neatly organized as well. Save it as a reference for the next time someone pulls out a "Somerton fact" you need to debunk.
Let's work to preserve our history from liars and charlatans.
