Malory’s entire Morte is marked by religious observance in an unobtrusive way. Arthur and his court regularly hear mass, go to confession and attempt to live by standard Catholic precepts. Unsurprisingly, important courtly events are scheduled to coincide with major feasts in the Christian calendar, as in the original Old French Vulgate romances. Early in “King Uther and King Arthur” we read that Arthur’s successful act of pulling the sword out of the stone takes place “upon New Yeres day, whan the servyce was done” (8.1 / C I.3–5). When Arthur’s achievement is not accepted by the barons the decision as to whether he is worthy of the title or not is put off until Candlemas. Finally, Arthur pulls the sword out of the stone one last time at the feast of Pentecost when all the “lordes and the comyns” (11.7 / C I.7) proclaim him king, irrespective of the will of the barons, who have no choice but to accept him.

From here on the reader of Malory’s Arthuriad finds that Pentecost becomes the most important date in the calendar of the Arthurian court, along with “Twelfth Day” (that is, Epiphany), Candlemas and Easter; it is not surprising, therefore, to find that Galahad’s re- enactment of the feat of pulling a sword out of the stone at the beginning of the Sankgreal occurs at Pentecost.

Galeria de Arte „Armonii Cromatice” din Timișoara (Bulevardul 16 Decembrie 1989, numărul 14) începe anul 2023 la puțin timp după deschiderea oficială a municipiului Timișoara - Capitală Europeană a Culturii, cu o lansare de carte. Este vorba despre volumul „Armonia Hermetică a Cosmosului”, ce-l are autor pe distinsul critic de artă și cercetător timișorean, dr. Gabriel Kelemen, volum pe care reputatul profesor orădean, dr. Ștefan Dorel Găină, l-a numit în prezentarea din toamna anul 2022 de la Casa Tineretului, „o semnalare și o așteptare de pre Opera Omnia”, „o stare minunată a relatării care aduce tot ce înseamnă severitatea și ascetismul cercetării științifice pentru relatare, în împrietenire și în înfrățire și o întrupare complexă cu filosofia și cu poezia”.

Galeria de Arte „Armonii Cromatice” din Timișoara, lansează, așadar, invitația de a participa la acest eveniment deosebit, „tuturor celor ce acceptă EXISTENȚIALUL într-o prezentare de mare trăire și unică interpretare”, mulțumind distinsului cercetător și om de artă timișorean, „prietenului nostru de mare talent și dăruire literar-artistică că ne-a ales pe noi gazdele acestui eveniment de mare anvergură”.

„Armonia Hermetică a Cosmosului” este o lucrare de sinteză ce coroborează imagini desenate, elaborate pe parcursul mai multor ani de cercetare efectuați de dr. Gabriel Kelemen. Volumul este structurat în cinci părți distincte, având un caracter universal, ilustrând de la simplu la complex metamorfozele indisolubile ce au ca și fundament arhetipal unitatea comuniunii morfodinamice dintre sferă și spirală, dintre sferă și vortex, văzute ca și principiu generativ prim din care emerge ierarhic și progresiv întregul polimorfism natural/artificial regăsit pe scara dimensională de la macro la mezo și microcosmos. 

Volumul a avut parte de mai multe prezentări, fiind lansat mai întâi la Muzeul Național al Banatului, apoi la Biblioteca Județeană Timiș (secția, Arte), ultima prezentare fiind realizată în cadrul Festivalului „Analog Mania”, ediția a X-a, în spațiul Bibliotecii Județene Timiș din cadrul Casei Tineretului din Timișoara. 

Gabriel Kelemen este cadru universitar  la Facultatea de Arte și Design din Timișoara, vicepreședinte al Uniunii Artiștilor Plastici, filiala Timișoara, grafician, inovator, inventator în știința cineticii, cu expuneri bine primite în  lumea oamenilor de știință din S.U.A..

Prezentarea volumului „Armonia Hermetică a Cosmosului” va avea loc joi, 23 februarie, de la ora 17, în spațiul expozițional al Galeriei de Arte „Armonii Cromatice” din Timișoara.

I am sorry to hear of your memory loss.

I asked because I myself was very active on that usenet group and I knew a Spider who was a prolific and skilled writer there. I played a number of characters on it, most notably Yvette the Anarch and two Tzimisce named Octavian Iliescu and Cristian Radulescu. The Spider I knew played a Malkavian named The Piper, an elder Toreador named Serena and her estranged childe called Valkyrie Dawn-Runner. My friend and later spouse Courtney played a Tzimisce named Mirya Jade and a Brujah named Jesstyn Calliope.

I am fond of your tumblr posts and even if you do not recognize me or you are not the Spider I remember, I am happy to know you. :)
