I say this a lot, but in 2024 I'm going to get back on here more often. I miss talking to everyone and making edits and just talking about OCs with people.

I also want to get to the point of just writing to write again. By that I mean, I can come up with so many excuses to not write. "It's been too long since I've updated this, I have to update this fic first;" "I'll do it when I have free time" and then when I have free time I do anything but write, "I can't start another new fic in a new fandom without touching this other one in so long," etc etc.

I miss it all. And I know I just have to do it to get things done. So, that's what I'm going to do!

An Apology

This probably isn't needed, but I just wanted to say sorry for posting asking a question, and then dropping off the face of the earth (or at least, disappearing from Tumblr).

First off, thank you to everybody who interacted with my question posts (I'm going to tag replies to comments, I hope that's okay).

Secondly, I'm going to try and do a little work on the Halloween Challenge if I get some time over the weekend. So, if anybody wants to be tagged in things, please let me know (I'm going to be posting them over at thevoyageurmoteplass and justmoreocs for writing and editing first).

Thirdly, as a general update on creative things: I'm currently trying to re-edit Fox's story, and my Peaky Blinders story (The Piccola Rossa Series) so I can finally finish all the books for it (at least, that's the hope).

I am still debating about her name (seeing I just came up with her), but I am leaning toward "Brianna" (Brie for short). She will be Jennifer's sister. I got the idea from one of my prompts for CMBingo (fill a plot hole).

Her face claim will be Brittany Snow :)

K: What's the angstiest idea you've ever come up with?

I've been sitting on a little plot bunny, but haven't had time to develop it. I'm trying to finish a few oneshots, then that Taiora oneshot (that I posted not long ago which will turn into a long fic) first before tackling this bad boy. Here's the plot:

TK, a single father, has a son that a Digimon kidnaps. TK is desperately racing against the clock to save him and solve why this happened as said Digimon keeps making him believe the son is being tortured. The whole time TK keeps blaming himself that it's somehow his fault.

☝️ I think I'm going to keep it angst with no romance - shocker, right? Lol Then again, I'm such a sucker for romance, I don't doubt some kind will sneak in. If that happens, it won't be the main focus.

O: How do you begin a story - with the plot, or the characters?

Depends on what the story calls for. I'm mostly a pantser writer, with the tiniest bit of planning. If I stay black and white on a simple thing like plot or character, I'll get raging writer's block. So basically whatever the story gods whisper into my ear that's what I write 😇

S: Any fandom tropes you can't resist?

👀 Oh, man! Where do I begin? So many. If you're a big fan of mine, most of my work involves romance. Can't get enough of it.  I think I'll only list a few:

Ok so I need to either rewatch the movies or read the books because I don’t have much on her besides this post here but:

* She’s Blaise’s twin

* She’s bisexual

* She’s best friends with Fred & George and the first time she meets them is when Lee’s got the spider at King’s Cross

* She’s one of Hogwart’s longest hatstall’s - the hat wanted her in Gryfindor but she wanted Slytherin to be with Blaise & her other best friend, Daphne Greengrass. Eventually the hat gets the final say and she’s Slyrherin

I was looking through your PR name meaning posts, and was curious to know how you were going to differentiate between the two Hayley's for Ninja Steel? Loving seeing all this wonderful color on the dash - and the unique OC names, too! -Rhuben

I’m not entirely sure yet, but I’m hesitant to do anything to my Hayley’s name. Her journey to discover her unique identity is such a big part of her story, and changing her name/giving her a nickname feels like it would just be another attempt at making herself stand out, which is supposed to be what she’s moving away from by Ninja Steel- and I sure as hell don’t want anyone calling her by her last name, cause that’s the root of her identity issues in the first place.

I might have Hayley Foster go by her last name, or maybe by “Hales” or “Hayes” or something.

I bought FC 24 (FIFA) to play on my computer so I wouldn't hog the shared TV - which also coincides with the first time ever in my life that I chose to buy and play a FIFA game all on my own - and it's not working. It just gets stuck at the loading screen or crashes. Everything tip online I've seen has not solved the problem.

Or, if it goes so far to show some sort of graphic, there's no sound. And it crashes.

Or I can get to selecting my controller settings...and it crashes!

I bought this "on sale" for about $50 - originally it's $70...and allit does is freezes/crashes.

This was such a waste of money 🤬🤬🤬

Is "The Girl Next Door" new??? I don't think I've seen that one before! What inspired this story?

So The Girl Next Door is complicated. It was the second fic I published that ever really went far and it was on Twitter using Twitlonger. I was spending the summer with my Aunt and I reintroduced myself (and my 16 year old cousin) to BTR, so I decided I’m a writer, this will help me practice what I’ve been learning. Why not write a fic for it. It originally was a Victorious/ BTR crossover where Annie Shapiro was going to Rocque Records, (Mostly so I could play around with what if it was Beck and not Avon that got into Twisted and to get Cat and James together). 

Anyway, I edited it a bit last year, and had six chapters up on my Wattpad. However, with my new year’s resolutions I decided to can it for now. Then I started listening to the boys again (BTR and Post) as well as talking to Riley and Rhuben over at @purple-and-red-ribbons and the inspiration hit me again!

Which OC has been the easiest/fastest for you to create? -Rhuben

A lot of my ocs come horrendously quick (which is why I have so damn many) but the fastest AND easiest? Well, I have two.

One is fandom and the other isn’t.

Slade and Oliver’s adopted son Maxon. In about two or three days I had most of his story and personality figured out. I’m thinking about doing an introduction type post for him here on tumblr since I mention him so often.

The other is an original character of mine named Chrysler, or just simply known as Chris. He’s a werewolf and I don’t use him to rp really because he was originally a character for a trilogy I was going to write (still kinda working on it).
