I didn't have enough shark clothes so I decided to put sharks all over one of my sweaters, and I'm going to wear it for my 18th birthday tomorrow!! When I started I thought I'd fit about 8 shark, but ended up fitting 14 😎

Sharks on the front of the sleeves: coral catshark & bonnethead shark

Sharks on the front of the body: whale shark, bull shark, frilled shark, saw shark, angel shark (those last two are shown better in the closer picture)

Sharks on the back of the sleeves: zebra bullhead shark & dogfish shark

Sharks on the back of the body: thresher shark, cow shark(bluntnose sixgill), cookie cutter shark, great hammerhead shark, basking shark

They aren't all perfectly accurate because I had a few oopsies with my sewing machine, but I did my best, and even if other people aren't able to identify them because of the mess ups, I still can!! 😁

what are you most looking forward to when you turn 18 and what do you hate about turning 18? 🤍

gonna start off with the “hate” part of it. not so much hate this but it’s very scary to me that all the “legal” protection that i had as a minor will be gone. there are so many laws in place to protect young people and keep them safe and the thought of loosing that protection, being alone and being vulnerable is so scary to me. i’ve had this fear for like 4 years now and the fact my childhood is coming to an end is just so scary.

also that; my childhood is coming to an end. i feel like i missed out on so many core teenage experiences, because of covid for one, but also because i was me. it just sucks. i wish i could just stay 17 forever. i never want to grow up.

and i’m sad and scared that all the things people find cool and impressive about me now, because i’m a teenager doing those things, will no longer be viewed that way. it will just be average and expected.

there are so many things that scare me about growing up, i could honestly write for hours but i wont, lol…

anyways onto the exciting things!

once i’m seizure free, i’ll be able to drive!! FREEDOM!! (seriously all i’ve wanted to do is drive, it’s my ticket to anywhere)

being able to go pretty much anywhere will be pretty cool

officially own my cat (i adopted him and payed all the fees but it’s all in my mums name because i was under 18)

be able to go to all the 18+ concerts i could never attend!! (i’m looking at you peach prc)

there’s probably more but that’s all i can think of right now :)
