It truly amazes me all the ways that Aaron Carter was just...never allowed to be a victim. Even people who can acknowledge that he was used and exploited by those around him often refuse to show any compassion for him bc they "don't approve of what he became" Even if you didn't like the things he did towards the end of his life, why is it so hard to sympathize with the child who was taken advantage of by everyone around him and understand that what Aaron turned into is a result of the abuse he experienced and not him being a bad person? Frankly, the fact that you can look at someone who was abused and used his whole life and actually say that what happened to him was deserved tells me more about what kind of a person you are than Aaron

Just found out that Aaron Carter died... He was my first ever celebrity crush. I remember my brother telling me “Candy” was about a girl not actually candy lol I was so jealous. Really loved his music as a kid. Liberty Kids theme song was one I was obsessed with as a kid 🥲
