15. A film whose main genre is Fantasy

The Green Knight my most beloved. I know it's polarizing, and it isn't a film I recommend to others because I am well aware that a fair number of people hate it. But it is a beautiful, meditative, horny narrative with an air of death in every scene. I especially love that Arthur and Guinevere are old; that really adds to the pervasive presence of death. They have no living children. Their lineage dies with them.

21. A film with a great needle drop/soundtrack/score

I love the soundtrack for The Favourite with its classical/art music that doesn't limit itself to music from the Baroque period. A Messiaen piece in a film set in the early 18th century? That's good shit.

En granded pompes avec mes copines nous nous sommes rendues à Versailles pour assister à ce bal costumé un peu particulier . Pour l'occasion coiffure, robe, maquillage, bijoux... . Tout se devait d'être d'époque . Et les 5h suivantes m'ont paru 5 minutes 😂 . L'édition 2022 a eu lieu hier, comme je n'y ai pas participé je suis un peu nostalgique aujourd'hui . Et ça me donne très envie d'en refaire 🤩 . Réaliser une robe dans ce genre necessite des 100aines d'heures de boulot, il me faut donc un événement pour avoir le courage de m'y mettre . can you parallel park? my driving instrutor taught me how to last week! Whether I can do it again is another question

a job you had that would surprise people? I moved to Greece and worked there for 9 months last year! The job itself isn't surprising but the fact that I went and did it in another country that doesn't have english as a first language surprised uhhh me tbh (I now am still dealing with Greek bureaucracy though 0/10)

do you think aliens are real? I guess they must be some form of life somewhere but I don't think humans will find it any time soon

can you drive a manual car? NO when I was signing up for driving lessons I was like 'automatic or nothing' I've already put off learning for like 8 years and there's a Reason for that lmao

what's your guilty pleasure? I don't think people should feel guilty for enjoying things. That being said: one of my favourite films is Alexander (2004) and I should feel guilty about that lets be real it's actually really REALLY bad

19. A book you came across randomly but ended up loving it?

I read a few Dear America books in my adolescence. I don't remember the first book I read or how I discovered the series, but I would guess I found it by chance. And I liked a lot of the books I read.

25. A book that had you bawling your eyes out?

I actually don't cry that much while reading books. Plenty of books have made me emotional, but it's pretty rare for them to make me cry. One book I've read that didn't make me cry but did give me a lump in my throat is Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan. It's set in 1980s Ireland and has to do with the Magdalene laundries, in which teenage girls and young women were abused and subjected to slave labor while being almost completely isolated from the outside world; many died in those laundries and were buried in unmarked graves. I highly recommend the book, but it is very sad.

28. The last book you read? Did you like it?

I read (most of) Dune by Frank Herbert. I stopped reading it when I had maybe 100 pages left because the book just wasn't holding my interest. I think the story is critical of Orientalism and white savior narratives, even though Frank Herbert was a white American and the book does at times fall into Orientalist tropes, and I wish I liked it more, but I found the world building very confusing, and I ultimately didn't care enough about the story to get invested.
