Send me an ask with a species (Other Skies or an animal, I love drawing fursonas!) and a fashion style and I'll draw them!
I think this will be a fun exercise! Don't be shy 🥰

Okay the thing that irritates me the most about the urban exploration community is how they absolutely refuse to share locations or any potentially identifiable info about a site. I see this behavior in my local community as well as on internet communities.
In a broad sense, I totally understand that. You don't want the public coming into these abandoned places and getting hurt or trapped. We're all about preservation as well, so the fewer people that know, the less graffiti and wanton destruction gets done to these abandoned sites. Cool. Perfect. Totally onboard with that!
Where it pisses me off is when you try to get in contact with these folks to explain your intentions in visiting the site, but they still refuse to share. I'm a photographer (when I feel like it) with an Instagram page with years of my work posted. I have my own documented explorations of urbex sites near me. It's obvious that I'm not amateur, nor am I out to destroy. I just wanna observe and take in the energy.
When these other photographers/videographers/urbexers refuse to share even amongst their own, it not only makes the community feel hostile but it also makes these people seem like they're more concerned with making sure their documented explorations are the most popular/the only ones people get to see.
It's been like this for 8 years at least. It makes me not want to engage with urbex, something that I really love. I'm so tired of every hobby and every interest feeling like a dog eat dog hellscape.

when will i stop seeing posts of the genre "ah! you were supposed to automate away the BAD jobs, not the FUN CREATIVE ones! why not simply just [solve like 8 incredibly hard open problems in robotics] instead of [LLM thing]!"
like. sorry i apparently have to be the one to break this to you but the amount humans enjoy a task has basically zero correlation with how difficult it is to automate

sam's character, veth, put the core in devexian, and powered him up, and so the first aeormaton since the fall of aeor awoke.
devexian made sure fcg, sam's character, was able to be awoken as he was.
and fcg, using the core inside him, utilized it to save his friends once and for all.

guys, i need to speak on something that’s been weighing on me.
i think that robots that are just, like, anime girls are for cowards and if you are only into those types of robots you’re a coward.
why would you want to just fuck an anime girl when you can already do that??
i think that pure true robot fucking is wanting to fuck REAL robots.
look at this sex machine.
first of all, you will notice she is shaped like a buttplug. her sleek, white outer panels combined with the faint LED display on her chest??????? chefs kiss. and her little face….. there’s nothing even inherently gendered about her but her kind gaze and sweet, soft voice just bestows upon me such a beautiful feminine energy. i love the color of her display. AND HER ELECTROMAGNETIC ARMS AND DIGITS???? just imagine what those can do. and we see throughout the movie that her arms obviously have more components than just her detachable digits….. gah. i want to fuck eve from walle. i want to have dirty filthy lesbian robot sex with eve from walle.

OKAY. after some sleep. back on my bullshit lets go.
I think its so critical that F.C.G made that choice, that in their last moments they looked at their friends and felt that sense of purpose and calm. I think it is wildly meaningful of him to know what his last resort would be, what it would end in, and choose it willingly, buoyed by a sense of purpose and love.
I think it's pretty clear the options were bad and worse, and that F.C.G made a strategic call that they perhaps knew would hurt but really, truly believed was worth it, and that call probably did stop their friends from experiencing further losses. I think there is something uniquely beautiful into turning a thing of destruction- perhaps something F.C.G had always seen as a burden or a curse or a worry- into an expression of his love for his friends.
And I think F.C.G, constantly plagued by doubt, getting a sense of crystal clear surety. And F.C.G thinking to themself: they saved me, and now i can save them is.
deeply fucking important.
and also something that makes me. emotional 😭
That said i can still be mad at F.C.G, and I can still want to hunt down a robot afterlife just to grab his chassis and shake him a little. Self sacrifice plays always have a steeper cost than just the person making the sacrifice. Their purpose was never just to lay down their life for others, and I despise a world where F.C.G could think that and not have the thought soundly rebuffed by those that loved them. There was a danger in him, maybe, but there was danger in all of them! A party of running risks!
Its just v important to me that: I don't know how I feel about the idea of it being a foregone conclusion this would happen. That this was the only way it would have ended. F.C.G made a choice, in that moment, that he knew would change things. F.C.G made that choice.
After a campaign of doubt and flipping coins and wondering whether choosing destiny or altering fate was even- possible: F.C.G makes this choice, fueled by love and determination and understanding, and everything changes because of it.
You did it buddy. You did it.
im gonna kick your ass once i figure out how, though, F.C.G. ashton will probably help me.

Cyberpunk AU, Imagine if somehow Mech-Pilot!König was able to hide his “connection” with his mech from his handler tho…
König on his bed kicking his feet watching his little medic fuss over him his mech saying things like: “There we go big guy, all better!” Or “Woah there big boy, stay still for me, please.” Or even his favourite: “Aaand we’re done! Good boy!”
Like, I feel like his handler would be more formal and stoic with him as it’s what they’re trained to do but the humanisation of his mech comes out in the “privacy” of the repair dock. It’s there that König can see his handler in a much friendlier light. They’re always so tense when he’s around them, and while that’s definitely cute in it’s own way, seeing them happily humming along to a song they have playing in the background while they are in their element, making repairs and coding is just as charming. It really gives him a taste of domestic life. They look so small and fragile in “his” hands… smiling up at “him” so sweetly… it’s almost dysphoric being with them in his human body.
GOD I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME
The dysphoria mech pilots must go through being connected to a being so much bigger than them, living at such great heights and then being made to fit back into their human bodies. König is a big guy but even he feels out of place. He reaches for things too far away, looks too far down to talk to people, feels the cavernous walls of the hanger closing in on him. He looks for circuits and ports in his skin, forgets to eat, forgets to sleep, he needs to recharge, needs a tune up, he forgets he's mostly human.
He slips between the mech and himself. Feels the mechanics like his first skin not his second. The implants he's been given to better mesh with the mech make it easy for him to keep communications open, make it easy for him to forget that its cameras aren't his eyes. Make it easy for him to trip when he's too focused on the way you tighten bolts along his joints.
At first it was just whispers, words that filtered through his perception, a voice he considered going to psych to have checked out. Soft praises that felt so alien he almost couldn't believe he was hallucinating them. No one coos at König, calls him a good boy, tells him how brave his is or what a good job he's doing, but it still makes him warm, makes something in is chest light up pleasantly. Then there are the phantom pains, the jerk in his shoulder, something being tightened suddenly before it melts into a gentle ache. Then comes the vision switches, the cameras clicking and focusing on your work, on the soldering iron in your hand as you fix tiny cracks along his fingers.
Mech pilots have a reputation for being strange, for caring too much about their machines, for seeming out of place in their own skin, for being too attached to their handlers. König is a trial run, his neural net is made to fully integrate with his mech. He gets lost sometimes in between his two halves. He gets lost around you, his handler, his keeper. (his mechanic, his doctor, his coder, his everything and anything)
It's strange interacting with you as a colonel. Bot Docs have their own reputation but the formality you afford him is startling when he knows how you treat his mechanical half. Is he really so different? He doesn't feel different. In fact König and the mech seem to hold the same feelings towards you, the same desires. It's just that holding their bodies and well being in your capable hands is only beneficial as long as König is controllable. And he's never been able to help pulling on his leash.

Obsessed with how Professor Layton is set up with the vibes of having something mystical and surreal afoot, but EVERY mystery has a very specific, logical (???), non-magical resolution. It’s a science fiction story masquerading as a nostalgic urban fantasy.
But also Luke can talk to animals. There is no science behind how. He just can.

if you are an amalgamation of spinning wheels and burning eyes that cry precious metals when you gaze upon this dying earth, i love you.
if you are a wolf burdened with a sadness inside your ribcage when you peer up at that blue winter moon, i love you.
if you have traded hardware and hi-definition vision for flesh and bone and your mechanical screams lull you to sleep each night, i love you.
if you relate more with the porcelain dolls gathering dust atop your dresser than you do with the friend holding your hand, the friend scrutinizing the fading bruises and little scabs on your knuckles - i love you.
if you look inside yourself and see nothing at all - i love you. i love you. i love you.

Hello and welcome to the Ghost Bracket! The place for spooky ghosts, adorable ghosts, pathetic ghosts, and many more!
Some clarification for those that aren't sure if their ghosts count:
If a character has been a ghost for a while in canon, they still count and can be submitted. So they don't need to be a ghost anymore, but still enough for that time to leave an impact on the fandom. If they were revived at some point, I don't mind
This poll will allow characters that might only be implied to be ghosts, but nobody is quite sure about it
All media is permitted
