Sharper Headcanons

Sharper's a regular human

Although now, due to an experiment gone wrong, he got his arms and his legs replaced with a mix of metal and his own flesh, basically prosthetics

Very advanced ones, as he's a scientist and inventor and made them himself

He can feel through them, and they usually look exactly like regular limbs

That stays true even if others touch them, though you could probably feel the wires and circuitry in his arms/legs if you pressed down hard enough

Even though they do have machinery in them, they do still have human flesh and tissues

Hence in Take Me Anywhere where his body and the wires/circuits seem to be one whenever he's injured

Because, well, they are one

Sharper has a tendency to get hurt on accident a whole lot

That damages his prosthetics and exposes the circuitry underneath them

Which to him hurts just as much as a wound of whatever caliber it is would hurt to a normal human

A master at inventing and chemistry

In fact, once he had a whole company

It was called Sharper Industries. He unfortunately shut down his company after getting very addicted to his own invention: The Sharper Industries Immersion Tube, and the Hallucina-Puff Memory Gas that allowed the tube to work

Sharper hadn't completely made sure that the Memory Gas was perfected before he started producing and selling the Immersion Tube to the public, hence the "Excessive exposure to HPMG may damage some to all brain function" warning on the product

The reason Sharper got so addicted to it was after his ex-girlfriend, Jessica (whom he was on good terms with before her passing) died in a car crash during a storm while going to visit her family

Sharper, even with all his life-altering and potentially life-saving inventions, couldn't save her

Due to all his guilt about the accident and his belief that he could've done something to change it, he obsessively enters an Immersion Tube that he had installed at his home

Just to see her again

Over and over and over and over

Sharper couldn't stop thinking about Jessica and what he could've done to help her, even if he was the head of a wealthy company and, by all accounts from everyone around him, "needed to move on," Sharper couldn't

Not yet

His addiction to the Immersion Tube ended up nearly killing him

Sharper realized this due to his worsening health, worsening immune system, extreme memory issues, frequent migraines, flashbacks, and emotional instability

So he stopped using his Immersion Tube, and shut down his company. At the time it was just an extended leave, but without their founder, the company started to fall into disrepair quickly

By the time we see him in Take Me Anywhere, he's gotten over the majority of his addiction to HPMG

Although Sharper still goes occasionally have withdrawal (I have no idea if this is how addiction works so if I get anything wrong I apologize)

What Sharper hasn't gotten over however is Jessica and her death

At that time, he is now attempting to create a "perfect version" of HPMG in his personal lab

Well

More abandoned warehouse which Sharper has repurposed into his home and current laboratory

Yeah he just kind of found it abandoned, moved his stuff in, and was like "Alright this is my home now, I can conduct my research without interruption!"

Sharper hasn't gotten extraordinarily far in his perfect HPMG research, but has certainly made lots of progress

There was an unexpected side effect of one of his test versions of his altered HPMG

When he took it, all the injuries he had at the time were healed immediately

No matter the severity

While it worked wonders for physical injuries, it didn't work so well for mental ones

He is very, very determined to get there one day, to the perfect version. If not for him, then for Jessica

NWTB Egos as Sims +Madpat

A couple months ago I made Sims of various Youtuber Egos and their creators. These were actually my first of the bunch but posted last as they aren’t as popular as the other two groups. 

Phantom (He/Him) Spellcaster. Traits: Self-Absorbed, Outgoing, Materialistic

Natemare (He/Him) Spellcaster. Traits: Family Oriented, Music Lover, Gloomy

Sharper (He/Him) Human. Traits: Cat Lover, Genius, Geek

Madpat (He/Him) Human. Traits: Erratic, Genius, Perfectionist

Natewantstobattle (He/Him) Human. Traits: Geek, Creative, Active

Matpat (He/Him) Human. Traits: Good, Genius, Geek

Phantom, Mare, Sharper, and Mad all live in an apartment above Phantom’s bar. I even added a mod so the bar is a functional business. Matt and Nate live in a separate household with the other Youtubers. Nate and Mare originally didn’t have stretched ears but I changed it after I added the Eco Lifestyle pack to my game. 

Matt’s face is literally like a couple changes away from one of the preset faces. Mad also has burns on his chest and arms. The purple eyeshadow under Mare’s eyes is meant to be his stripes since I couldn’t find cc for them. They are also the only ego household with a pet; they have a raccoon named Lab-Rat(adopted by Sharper, named by Mad jokingly). Idk why I gave them a raccoon, it just fit.

World building for a Project that may or may not get finished:

Lore:

- so demons and monsters and stuff exist in the world, naturally

- egos are a strange form of demon

- they’re basically a repeat of a soul but tainted in some way

- this is what gives them unnatural abilities

- they’re generally called demons but not all of them are demons

- technically (this is the word of the day)

- because they’re all repeats of the same soul, they’re all connected

- sometimes they’re corrupted repeats, where dark matter got into the mix when the soul was in the process of repeating

- there are only two recorded incidences of this

- dark and anti

- this is shown through their corrupted abilities; they’re both “glitch demons” in their own sense of the word

- obviously some egos can be “evil”, but they aren’t necessarily corrupted

- if they are the only repeat soul of that person, they are going to be darker of mind (blank, peevils, etc.)

- mare used to be like this but then his brothers souls were made

- once they are created, these souls are very hard to destroy, like a demon’s, because they’re not the same as human souls

- however they can blip in and out of existence

- it’s a strange concept, and no one truly knows what causes it, but it has been known for repeat souls to almost fade out of reality and then fade back in, with the victim having no memory of where they went or for how long

- kids are told stories that a forgotten ego with no name rules the “Inexistence”, the unofficial name of the plane that they would fade to

- apparently it’s a domain where physics don’t work quite right and the forgotten ego is always watching

- many people brush these off as bedtime stories, scary tales made up to scare young monsters/authentic demons

- it is rumoured that this forgotten ego is a demon of creation, with the ability to create something from nothing

- an ability that no one believes in, you can’t create something from nothing

Anti:

- a “glitch demon” in theory, but actually a repeat soul (ego)

- he has the gash across his neck

- can teleport through his glitches

- has mind control abilities using static (symptoms include faint glowing green strings on the arms and legs of those controlled, eyes completely filled with static)

- powerful and chaotic

- he has made mistakes in the past which has cost him a lot

Dark:

- dark is also by technicality (word of the day!!) a “glitch demon” although his abilities differ from antis

- he has an aura that can cause fear and paralysis as a result of the fear

- he can travel through shadows

- he’s very powerful, although a bit divided

- he is also able to control people but it’s more possession than mind control

- having to control multiple things at once constantly is part of the reason dark is so calm and composed

- he has learnt from past events what happens what can happen if he doesn’t

Mare:

- basic repeat soul, technically a siren

- has mist based abilities that are controlled via voice

- the mist can cause many things but its main purpose is to induce sleep and then nightmares dragged from the darkest parts of the victim’s brain

Phantom:

- basic repeat soul, smoke demon

- has red smoke and a charm ability

- he can use his charm ability to activate his red smoke which fills the victim’s head with wants and desires and makes them susceptible to suggestions (i.e. signing a questionable contract)

Sharper:

- basic repeat soul, technically an android

- has green smoke and healing knowledge

- his green smoke is activated mechanically, coming from his hands

- it has the ability to knock the victim unconscious and fill their head with dreams and ideals

Blank:

- essentially an ice demon

- he has control over ice and temperature, with the ability to freeze whatever he touches

Apocalypse:

- essentially a fire demon

- same abilities as blank but opposite basically

- control over fire and temperature

- can melt any object he touches and burn any creature he touches

Peevils:

- A “chameleon” demon

- can blend into her surroundings by going invisible near enough

- uses a sneak attack to stab her victims with retractable claws

Wilford:

- a chaos demon in the loosest sense of it

- has the ability to use the chaos matter of the universe to shift from location to location, kind of like teleporting but using a different method to anti and dark

Jackie:

- not necessarily a demon, just a basic repeated soul

- has abilities given to him from the repeat (strength, flight, the ability to use green blasts of energy from his hands)

Marvin:

- basic repeated soul with abilities given

- can use magic and has spent a lot of time researching demon lore and arcane tricks

- can use spells to attack and defend

JJ:

- technically a demon, but not chaotically or evilly inclined

- a time demon

- has the ability to slow or stop time momentarily

- doesn’t speak but uses sign instead

Schneep:

- technically a demon but again, not inclined to chaos or evil

- has healing abilities and knowledge

Chase:

- Basic repeated soul with minimal power

- chase is unique because instead of staying in the world of demons and repeated souls, he left and started a family etc.

- obviously didn’t work well and he returned heartbroken, depressed and reliant on alcohol

- no real powers because he rejected them but he’s sure as hell got a good aim on a gun

Mad:

- technically a demon

- obsessed with the inexistence and the main source of all lore relating to it, but this means he’s often disregarded and ridiculed by many for being so invested in a scary story for kids

- unfortunately his pursuit of knowledge left him utterly deranged

- he was a fire demon like apocalypse, but something happened and he seems to not have those abilities anymore

hey! it’s cel, this is the start of my take on the egos in what i’ll consider is my version of canon. it’d be interesting to hear opinions on this, there is an entire storyline roughly outlined featuring my take on our glitch bitch as the protagonist! he’s the bad guy i know but leave me alone i have left a lot of stuff out of this list that is still in my notes because if i do write this, then i want to give you guys as little spoilers as possible. it was difficult enough deciding whether or not to tell you what egos were gonna be in it >.<

i’d be delighted to hear your opinions or observations, i think i’ve left a few little bits of information in there that i think are almost clues to what secrets some of these guys may be hiding, but don’t feel like you have to look into it or anything. this is the list of characters and basic lore of the world i will be having them in.

What are your opinions are nwtb egos like sharper, heathen, bones, and others like that? :D just curious, love your work!

I personally don’t see them as egos tbh, any character he is in a music videos is just a character to me. Like with MatPat and the Hermit in AHWM, and sort of the characters Nate and Mark both play in the FNaF musical

I may be posting a bunch more stuff and headcanons about the nwtb egos, mainly due to the long story of ‘im in charge of 5 of them in my next d&d campaign and my DM likes things well-done and thought-out’ so I had to scrounge up fitting personalities and names for Phantom, Natemare, Sharper, Echo, and Bones.

Phantom - “Red” Head Bitch of the brothers, is the character I’m actually playing. You love to hate him, and hate that you love him anyway.

Natemare - “Marian” Mean and a bully, but tolerates his brothers. He’s also the shortest by like half a foot and is the only non-identical brother in the group

Sharper - “Shatter” Only sibling to branch out from entertainment, interested in alchemy. Clumsy bitch. Became shy after a mishap with an experiment

Echo - “Echo” No thoughts. Head empty. Dumb of ass. He’s just excited and somewhat terrified to be here. Constantly falls victim to his brothers’ pranks

Bones - “Thumper” Gets into fights, has a shorter fuse than expected. Least talkative of the group, most likely to just snap on someone.

MadPat - He dyed a spare lab coat orange and called it a day.  If you asked him, he’s dressed a as pumpkin.

Sharper - Well, he’s usually wrapped up anyway from accidentally hurting himself, So he decided to just go all out.

Legion - A spider witch. They sewed the cobwebs on to their pants themselves.

Natemare - He found a pair of fake dragon wings. Immediately ran up too Phantom and shouted “Look! I’m you!”.

Pt. 3: Do You See Any Worth?

The minute Nate left, all hell broke loose. From the ego’s perspective, anyway. Nate had no idea of what was going on in the ego’s residence. 

Natelight collapsed to the floor a couple minutes after Nate departed, shaking and crying. It felt as if his very essence was slowly being ripped out - nothing he had ever felt compared to this. It was so excruciating that Natelight had revealed his wings, which he usually kept hidden. Their warm glow of light was flickering, and they were spasming, flapping without his input. 

Natpai, Sharper, and Skelly immediately rushed to Natelight’s side.

“Is- Is he-?” Natpai stuttered out, the student then getting interrupted. 

“Fading? Looks like it,” Sharper replied, finishing Natpai’s sentence for him. He began to try to speak to Natelight, to calm the screaming ego down. “Light? Listen to me, it’ll be fine, it’ll be okay, just try to fight this,”  

Skelly looked up to the other egos in the room, a mix of shock and fear on his face. “What do we do?!” 

It took a moment of thinking for anyone to answer. Natelight didn’t stop screaming, nor did he stop sobbing.

“I-IT HURTS! PLEASE! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!!” He shouted, wings spasming more. That caused one of them to speak. 

“I don’t know if there’s anything we can do. We can only exist if enough fans know of us, and for Light, that number is small. He was in the starting stage of Fading when Nate got here, even. Now, with Nate gone, we... we might have to except the fact that Natelight isn’t going to make it,” Phantom said. He was still emotional, but was trying to hide it behind a mask of calm, like always. 

Phantom knew that if he broke under these circumstances, everyone would. He was one of Nate’s strongest egos, and if the others saw him break... well. No hope would be left. 

“So you propose we just let him Fade?! No way, Phantom, absolutely not!” Sharper yelled, the emotions he was feeling overtaking the need to calm Natelight. “M-Maybe one of us has healing powers! Maybe that could fix it, or at least slow it down a little!” He rose his voice again. The cyborg’s voice broke, wavering. The idea that one of the egos in this house had healing powers strong enough to heal a Fading ego was impossible. 

A false hope.

No ego with healing abilities could do such a thing. To every ego’s current knowledge, Fading could not be stopped once it began. 

“Sharper. Let’s see, who here could have healing powers? A crossroads demon, a siren, a cyborg, five humans, although they do have some abilities, two revenants, two incubi, one vampire, a kenku, a dice devil, and an angel, who is currently Fading!” Phantom replied back. “Natelight is the only one here who has any sort of healing power, and he’s FADING!” He shouted the last word at Sharper. “He can’t heal anyone right now, much less himself! Look at him!” Phantom said, his voice rising with frustration, pointing at Natelight. 

Natelight wasn’t doing better. He continued to scream and cry, the glow of his wings nearly gone. “NO! NO NO NO NO NO! I-I DON’T WANT TO DIE!!” Natelight shouted, now attempting to get up. The angel fell instantly, grimacing as he did. His body was growing weaker fast, as he was Fading quickly. 

“Light, listen to me! J-Just hang on, okay?!” Sharper said to Natelight, grabbing him to stop his fall to the floor. Natpai and Skelly still looked on, frozen in concern for their brother. Natelight’s breathing became shallower, and his movements slowed down. There was barely any glow to his wings.

“NO! LIGHT, FIGHT IT!” Sharper shouted at the Fading ego. 

“I.. I’m sorry, I can’t..” Natelight mumbled, his eyes struggling to stay open. The pain was still there, but it was lessening. He just wanted it to end. That pain that was in every single part of his body, feeling like it was burning away at his life force. It hurt. So much. But now, that it was starting to leave him? Natelight wanted it to be fully gone. No matter what happened to him, he wanted, no - needed it to STOP HURTING. The glow of his wings slowly dimmed, eventually turning to no glow at all.

His breathing stopped. 

Sharper, Natpai and Skelly stood for a moment, shocked. Natpai started to sob, Skelly just stared at Natelight’s lifeless corpse, and Sharper? Sharper slowly put down Natelight’s body, and then he grabbed a nearby glass vase and chucked it to the other side of the room. The glass broke, ringing around the silent room.

“DAMN IT!” Was Sharper’s response, tears starting to stream down his face. “WHY?! WHY LIGHT?! LIGHT DIDN’T DESERVE TO FADE!! HE DID NOTHING TO DESERVE THAT HAPPENING TO HIM!!!”

Phantom looked at Natelight’s body, and then at the other three egos in the room. He decided to leave Sharper in his grief, it was best for him to get his emotions out. But, he needed to be alone for a while. Phantom needed to grieve Natelight himself. 

He said nothing as he walked away to his office.
