In order to find his sister and free himself and the others trapped inside, Alec must employ the help of Magnus Bane – an elusive and alluring man whose own fate is deeply entangled with that of the club.

He wasn’t quite sure how long he smiled down at the message. His reply didn’t really come to him easily, but Magnus forced himself not to overthink it.
‘My pleasure, I really enjoyed your company. Perhaps we could do it again sometime.’
At some point, Alec tilted his head upwards to kiss the tip of Magnus’s nose, and Magnus couldn’t help the giggle escaping him, eliciting a similar sound from Alec.
This was good, he thought as he rested his head against Alec’s. They were in no rush.

Things have been busy since he became the head of ‘Downworlders’ magazine which is now one of the most popular fashion magazine, and started his own fashion line. But he didn’t realize how much he had been neglecting his children until they set the sofa on fire in his absence.
And then he found the perfect solution to his problem- a babysitter. Alexander Lightwood is perfect in every way. He is a good cook, kind and helpful, his body is built like Adonis and he has an angelic face, but most of all the kids love him. Maybe he is too perfect.

Authors, artists, and betas - welcome to the Shadowhunters Big Bang 2018!
How it works
Authors sign up to write a fic and once they’ve got an idea of what they want to do, they share a summary to help artists claim the fics they want to work on. From there, the author works to finish their fic and the artist works on creating an accompanying art piece before the due date!
Authors, you have two options when signing up: the big bang or the mini bang. The big bang has a minimum word count of 20k and the mini bang has a minimum word count of 10k. They both have the same deadlines, so you can choose whichever challenge you think you’re going to be able to do in the time!
Artists, you can get as creative as you want - every kind of art is welcomed here, whether that’s traditional or digital art, graphics, gifsets, fanmixes, fanvids or something else. You’ll need to make a minimum of one finished piece per fic you claim (though you can do more than that if you feel inspired, of course!).
Betas, you’re the cheerleaders and support system our writers need. Like the writers, you can choose whether you want to beta for a big bang fic or a mini bang fic, depending on how much time you can devote to critiquing and developing your writer’s fic.
Pinch hitters, you’re the saviours of the bang. If one of the artists or betas has to drop out, pinch hitters volunteer to step in.
Deadlines
The SHAUMondays blog started as a way of keeping the creation of fandom content alive in the (long, long) hiatuses between seasons, so the deadlines are as follows:
Dec 13: sign ups open for writers, betas, artists and pinch hitters
Dec 31st: sign ups close for writers, betas and artists
Jan 7th: summaries due for writers (including rating and trigger warnings)
Jan 10th: fic claims open for betas and artists
Jan 17th: fic claims close (more rounds may follow)
Jan 31st: sign ups close for pinch hitters
Feb 12th: mid way check in
Mar 25th: final deadline for writers
Mar 28th: final deadline for artists
Apr 1st: posting!

Participation by minors
This is a fandom event open to everyone, but anyone 18 or over must clearly indicate they are an adult when they sign up, whether they are a writer, artist or beta. When claims open, if you are 18 or over it is up to you to make sure you don’t expose any minors to explicit content - this applies equally if your fic is explicit or if your art is explicit.
Accepted works
We’re looking forward to seeing everything you create - AUs, canon!verse, future fic - unleash your creativity!
However, as usual here at SHAUMondays, this big bang will not support or endorse any works with the following main ships: Sebastian (Jonathan Christopher)/anyone, Camille/anyone, Jace/Alec, Clary/Alec, Alec/any woman, Valentine/anyone and will not support works with underage characters/pedophillia.
We also ask that you take care to avoid racist portrayals of characters of colour, particularly regarding Magnus Bane - he's not tiny, folks! Also, if you have an ensemble cast in your fic, please include Luke. The fandom has a tendency to leave him out of fanworks.
Additionally, this is the Shadowhunters Big Bang, so works are expected to primarily relate to the TV show rather than book verse.
