I want. Four to get appreciation. Because

Four gave a ton of unnoticed help when Twilight was injured

The fight with Wild was difficult, and I know we're all concerned about his negative view of the shadow crystal

But Four did something that no one else really thought of to help- He took care of Twi's stuff

From the beginning he told Twilight to not worry about them

So Four took care of pretty much everything but the others (that Sky and Wars handled)

He took care of Epona

Which is so very important- he took care of Twilight's horse. After her arrival at the stable Four followed up on her

And for Epona, a horse so attached to her human, having some company can help so much for reassurance

He took care of Twilight's stuff

He got Twi's shield- his bags and equipment, and organized it into one place

And he was worried. He obviously found the shadow crystal while handling Twi's stuff, but his negative reactions to it were out of concern.

Also- because of his placement in this scene

I'm fairly convinced Four was ready to start cooking before Wild showed up (since he's beside the counter with food supplies). At the very least he had the basket of fruit out for everyone -but he was literally standing with food behind him- he thought of everything

And he did housekeeping!

Wars payed for the inn, so Four took care of the inn

Realistically these boys were probably not too concerned with tidyness. Four got all of Twi's things on one table, and took care of the room they stayed in

Organizing tables and Twi's things, having food supplies ready, and opening the curtains- overall he was the one tidying up the inn

Four helped in a huge way! He took care of Twi's horse (Epona is so important), his equipment and shield and bag, as well as the other rooms in the inn

Four filled in all the little tasks that others didn't think of. He helped in ways that were needed, but not obvious

There's a lot of problems with the shadow crystal and with Wild, and I don't know what's gonna happen in the future

But don't forget this- don't forget that Four was one who stepped up in an almost unnoticeable way

Don't forget that when everyone was barely holding it together, Four visited Twilight's horse and took care of his things

No matter what develops in the future- this amount of care shown is important ya know?

The fact that Taylor has released the same amount of albums under Universal/Republic in less than half the time when she was with Big Machine, really makes me wonder about all of the potential things she could’ve done if instead of having to fight tooth and nail for everything, they had granted her more creative freedom and trusted her.

Hello! So like I've been having that Lights, Camera, Sing Your Sins AU rent free in my head for a while, and thought this up.

Since the prisoners weren't allowed to meet at first, they could hear the others practicing their singing nearby/next door. Some are awed by how passionate they put into their songs (eg: Haruka & Shidou), how into it (eg: Fuuta & Kotoko), how emotional (eg: Kazui), etc. This allowed the prisoners to imagine what the others are like.

...Then there's Mikoto with Red going all out with their MeMe song and it stunned everyone into silent fear until the prisoners meet him and go "YOU SANG THAT!?!"

I've been going so so crazy over this omg!!

No matter how big the facilities are, I'd imagine it would be difficult to keep ten people undergoing a full filming process completely separate from each other. Though they don't actually see each other, they overhear recording booth sessions while while walking down the hall. They spot unique outfits and props in the costume closet. They hear crew members giving Jackalope weird updates ("sir, where do you want the massive tarot cards when they're finished?" "the order of thousands of fake flowers has arrived" "we ran out of medieval outfits" etc.) They see teams lugging around massive set pieces from one stage to another. They hear a few hushed rehearsals from behind dressing room doors.

Mahiru totally tears up listening to Kazui. Meanwhile Kazui is blown away by Mahiru's enthusiasm and speed. Yuno thinks After Pain sounds really fun. Amane is awed at the other songs, (she's never even heard rock music before). Kotoko finds herself singing bits of Weakness. Muu is moved by Shidou. Fuuta is torn between being jealous of Mikoto's song and excited there's someone else with some yelling.

And so of course, the prisoners go crazy trying to piece together predictions about their upcoming cellmates. One the experiment begins, they subconsciously start matching up the voices they remembered hearing with their expectations. I think Shidou, Amane, and Kotoko would surprise people the most -- it seems hard hard to get a day-to-day read on them from their songs alone. Fuuta is simultaneously exactly what people were expecting and nothing like what they thought. Everyone's ideas of Mahiru were spot on. Haruka sang so confidently that the group is surprised to hear him stutter so often. Anyone who heard a bit of Meme is shocked when they meet Mikoto and make the connection. When asked about it, he just shrugs and laughs innocently, which only makes it harder to believe. Fuuta, excited to find someone else who did a rock song, is sorely disappointed at first.

if it makes you feel better, that body language book is complete nonsense and you should ignore everything it says. it's all pseudo-science pushed on insecure women. literally burn it to heat your home, at least then it'll have some use.

She actually talks a lot about the inherent sexism and racism in a lot of body language interpretation and verbal cuing and how women and people of color are judged a lot more unfairly in professional environments, and throws in loads of caveats about cultural and personal contexts. It’s not like one of those TikTok channels or the TV show “Lie To Me” it’s more like, “So. You Don’t Know What To Do With Your Hands During Presentations And Job Interviews. Here’s What we observed by interviewing a bunch of employers, conducting a bunch of mock interviews, and reviewing a bunch of TED talk footage and other effective public speakers.” It's not like "X number of blinks mean you're lying." It’s really a bunch of basic, common sense stuff like “actually face people when you talk to them” and “add notes telling yourself to breathe at certain points in your presentation if you tend to get nervous and rush.” And there’s a lot of emphasis on doing what feels comfortable and natural to you. My wish is that she’d talk about the ableism in employers and body language as well, more. I mean obviously we do need to be critical in any behavioral studies but like, people do conduct behavioral studies.

#also arguably recognizing *how* we interpret body language can help us be more conscientious in how we communicate with others #like there's this patron at my work who's a very nervous woman with a very high voice that's like... very sensorily grating to me #And *I* have to be conscious of how that's affecting me and not let that affect how I treat her compared to other patrons #Because obviously she can't control it! #I'd love to find a book on code-switching next so if anyone has recommendations I'd be very interested #also she talks a lot about the nixon-kennedy debates in one chapter which I LOVE #because it really shows how this advancement in technology had this incredible impact on politics and how we perceive people #and if you look at how Zoom has shifted communication it's true! it's been a big reassurance that people so far have liked Thatcher and Ruth's dynamic in Hail, True Body AU

it was genuinely the part of the chapter I was most nervous about because up until chapter 9 (recent chapter), I'd only presented Thatcher's impression of her - that she is so kind and sweet and better to him than he deserves - and this chapter showed that whilst she is those things, she is flawed and harbours a lot of resentment towards someone she still considers a friend and cares about a lot

idk, I was worried people might not like her or that some might get the impression that she's 'bitchy' or 'mean' or something considering her logical and rational approach compared to Thatcher's emotional one, when that wasn't my intent at all. I just wanted to show that she's as flawed and complex as any of the other characters in the AU, you know? and I'm really glad she came across that way, even if it's a different interpretation of their dynamic :)
