Back home you got ready for the night and grinned as your phone rang exactly 60 minutes later.

“Hey there love!” You said and smiled. “Darling…” he said with his smooth voice.

“Did you have a good time with my family?” you heard the smile in his voice as he asked.

“Oh yes, it was a very nice evening. How was your day?”

You heard Tom rustle a little as if he was getting comfortable.

“Was ok, the interviews went well, Ben and I do get along quite fine in helping each other not to reveal too much to the press.” You climbed into your bed and got comfortable yourself. “I would be terrible at keeping secrets!” You laughed and so did Tom.

The both of you talked a bit about your days and Tom laughed as you told him that the girl came back to say thank you. “Oh my, that is so sweet of her” he said and added. “You deserve the love from her…and well…the pictures of me kissing you…” You grinned “Don´t get started, I went bright red in front of your mother!” Tom chuckled and said “Hey… I did what every decent man would do before leaving. It´s just that I do get photographed while doing it!”

“No need for excuses, I won´t have it any other way. Kiss away as much as you like! But only with me of course!” a soft laugh teased your ear. “Of course, love only you!”

Somewhere along the conversation you switched to facetiming each other on your tablet. You propped Tom up on the pillow next to yours and got comfortable in bed. He did the same and smiled at you. You talked about the next day and when he would be home again. Saying you would try to pick him up and leave early at work. Tom smiled and you could see he would love that, but he offered to ride home with Ben if you could not make it nevertheless.

“I´d like to kiss you now…” Smiling at his words you blew him a kiss and got a chuckle. He took of his glasses and rested his head on his pillow. You could see he was tired and so were you.

“Do you want to sleep?” you asked softly. Tom opened his eyes again and hummed.

“I am rather tired, but I don´t want to hang up just now!”

Smiling you touched the display. “Then don´t, just close your eyes. I´ll be here!”

“Mhmmm” Tom murmured and smiled as his eyes fell shut again.

It didn´t take long for him to even out his breathing. Seeing his face relax as he drifted into a peaceful sleep made you smile. You killed the lights and closed your eyes too. It was cheesy and a bit silly what the two of you did here, but you knew that you could make it work that way. He was not physically close, but he felt close like that.

The battery gave up in the morning hours, but you had a text as you came out of the shower.

>Thank you for being there last night. I love you darling!

Smiling you wrote something back along the same lines and went out to get to work.

You had a short day and went grocery shopping afterwards. Tomorrow, Tom would be back and you wanted to cook for him. As you got home you saw someone standing in front of your door, just ringing your bell. “Sophie?”

Sophie, Bens wife turned and smiled at you.

“Hey (Y/N), Ben and Tom will go live in some minutes. Thought you might like to watch with me. Sorry for standing here unannounced.” You smiled and hugged her, setting down the bags.

“No, you can always drop by. This is a sweet surprise!” You opened the door and Sophie helped you to carry the bags inside. “Tom has mentioned something like that yesterday but he didn´t know the exact URL to watch it.” “Ben didn´t know either, but I found out anyway!” She grinned.

Prepping some snacks to eat you hooked your laptop to the TV and sat down on the sofa with Sophie. The hosts just announced Ben and Tom as you settled in. You couldn´t help but smile.

Sophie laughed as she saw the look on your face. “We got lucky with those two!”

You grinned “Absolutely! My, they are handsome in those suits!”

Sophie took something to eat and the both of you just watched your striking other half’s on screen.

“Thank you for coming all the way and be willing to answer our and your fans questions!” The host said and some fans in the audience cheered loudly. They talked a bit about the coming movie and how it was to be filming with so many good actors. Ben shared some antics from the cast as he tried to deflect some plot questions. He was good at it and the question was dropped in favour of another story that Tom now told. It was fun to watch Ben and Tom playing along with each other and getting many laughs from the audience. 20 minutes into the interview the host asked Ben if he had the ambition to act in a play that his wife directed. Sophie grinned and laughed as Ben answered graceful but not giving a definite answer at all.

“Tom…” the host said and turned to look at him after not getting something out of Ben.

“…You were seen with a woman at the airport. Was she the same woman you went out with with your co-stars in London?” Tom grinned. “You tell me!” The audience laughed and you heard them shout YES. “Come on, you got to give me something Tom” The host said and got Toms significant laugh for his troubles “Ehehehe…” He sat back and smiled at Ben who motioned to seal his mouth.

“Well, yes. It is the same woman. And let me tell you, I am one lucky man to have her coping with the madness my job brings with it.” He looked into the camera and blushed a little as he added.

“She has my heart!” Sophie awwwwed next to you and you had to gulp away the tears of joy and awe that threatened to give in to gravity.

“So, you are telling us you are off the market?” The host asked and looked at the fans in the audience. “If you don´t want to hear it close up your ears!”

Tom laughed again and nodded. “Yes, I am not letting her get away again. I´ve waited to long for someone like her.” The audience gasped but clapped, happy for Tom.

Tom grinned and leaned forward to the camera. What was he up to now?

“Darling, if you are watching…That´s it!” He chuckled as darkly as his alter ego Loki and added

“YOUR MINE!”

Sophie laughed and nudged you. “He probably made some people faint with that. I know Ben did when he dropped his voice that low!” Laughing with Sophie you sent a text to Tom.

< I am watching with Sophie at my home… and yes, I am yours. But you are mine too!

On TV you saw Tom noticing the vibrations in the pocket of his jacket. He grinned and leaned over to Ben as he risked a quick glance as the host announced a short teaser from the upcoming movie. Normally he was to polite to check his phone during an interview, but he was just too curious now.

He whispered something into Bens ear and Ben grinned at him. They both looked into the camera and winked in sync as they saw that they still were recording them.

The host finished up and thanked them again for being on his show. Ben and Tom got up and went to sign some autographs for the fans in the audience. The camera filming them for a minute before the credits started to roll. Sophie turned to you and grinned. “Well, you are now pretty much VERY officially his significant other.” You smiled a big smile and Sophie hugged you.

“Welcome to the family… I already had a good feeling in Australia that I´m going to see you a lot more often in the future!”

Sophie stayed a little longer before she had to go home again. You promised to accompany her in her search for a new dress to wear at the opening night of a play she wanted to attend. Closing the door your phone rang nearly directly afterwards.

“Hello darling!” A smooth voice sounded and made you shiver a little.

“So, you watched me just now?”

Pets and Fuzzy Socks 8

Plot: You are a vet tech who one day gets a dog in at the clinic, who’s owner happen to be Tom Hiddleston.

Chapter eight:

“Don’t Stop believing, hold on to that feeliiiiaaaaiiing”

My ringtone yanked me brutally out from my deep heavenly sleep.

“Hmmhmm hello?” I said with such a low gravelly voice I was surprised that it was my own.

“Y/N, I’m sorry for calling you this early, but I got a c-section coming in soon, can you please come in?”

It was Leila, my boss, the plead in her voice made me cave, despite the god of a man who laid next to me. I rubbed my face with my hands and let out a sigh.

“Yeah, sure. I’ll be there in 30 min. Is that okay?”

“Yes, thank you so much!” She hung up, and I groaned, which made Tom open his eyes.

“What is going on my love?” He placed a small kiss on my forehead as he gently tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear.

“I got called into work, a c-section. Though I would prefer to stay in bed with you all day” I smiled at him, while tracing my fingers over his temples and into his hair.

“But some unborn puppies need my help. I’m sorry, but we are kind of short on staff, so Leila needs me”

“Of course, my love. Anything for puppies!” He grinned widely and made me chuckle.

I quickly went into the shower and got dressed in my work clothes. I looked at my phone to find the next bus departure.

“Dammit!!” I banged my hand on the kitchen counter top

“What? What it is?” Tom looked at me a bit worried

“I missed the bus, I’m not going to make it on time” I was beginning to feel stressed and began chewing on my cheek.

“Hmm that is unfortunate... but why don’t I just drive you?” He asked as if it was a given. I looked startled at him.

“What? You don’t have your car here?” I fidgeted with my phone and looked at him with confusion.

“I drove here yesterday, and then we took a cap from here to the restaurant. Come on, let me drive you!”

I agreed, and we went to the car, we even had time to get some coffee to go. As we pulled up to the clinic, Tom went inside with me, and we found Leila in the breakroom.

“Hi Leila, I’m here and I got coffee!”

She looked at me with lights in her eyes

“MY SAVIOR!” She stood up quickly and gave me a big hug and took the coffee off my hands. She then saw Tom, and eyed him up and down

“Oh hello, Tom, right? How’s Elle?” Leila had the wonderful ability to remember people by their pets. She never forgot a pet she had treated, which made her the perfect vet in my eyes.

Tom nodded and shook her hand, while they were shaking hands, Leila leaned into me and whispered

“Holy fuck I forgot how hot he is!” I blushed instantly and looked shyly at Tom, who just chuckled.

“Well, I should get going…” Tom said as he cleared his throat.

“Hmm If you don’t have any plans today, we could use some extra hands?” Leila said with a raised brow looking between Tom and me. I looked up at Tom, who looked back at me with a big smile.

“You want to stay?”

“I would love to” He gave me a big smile, indicating that he was quite excited.

About 15 minutes later a golden retriever named Sally arrived. We got her prepped for operation and once she was under, we had to work fast. I got a lot of towels ready and a box with a heating pad and a blanket. I had instructed Tom that when the puppies came out one by one, I would remove the placenta and any excess amniotic fluids, I then would hand them over to Tom, who was going to clean them and dry them carefully off with a towel. I also told him how to check for cleft palate in the puppies. About 30 minutes later all the puppies where out of Sally, and Leila was closing her up.

Tom and I were studying all 10 puppies that were squeaking and pushing and shoving around in the box, and soon Leila said she was done with Sally. As soon as we placed Sally on a blanket on the floor we placed the puppies at her nipples, so they could begin breastfeeding. The three of us sat beside Sally, checking on her and on the puppies, Tom leaned towards me.

“That was amazing. Thank you for letting me help and experience this” He placed a kiss on my cheek and I smiled back at him with a sparkle in my eyes.

After Sally and her adorable puppies were sent home, Tom dropped me off at my place, sadly he had a meeting later that day, so he couldn’t stay.

A couple of weeks passed by, filled with butterflies and living on cloud nine. I was head over heels in love with Tom, and with each passing moment I became more and more sure of it. We often spent time at each other’s places and watched movies, read books or just talked about everything under the sun.

One day we went to a small café to get some cheesecake (a favorite of ours), but we didn’t notice a paparazzi taking some pictures of us. We were just talking and having fun, but we left holding hands and Tom placed a kiss on my cheek. The next day I was lying on the couch with Tom massaging my feet as he read a novel, I was just browsing on my phone when I suddenly saw the photos of us at the café.

“Tom Hiddleston and mysterious girl – Who is this plain Jane?”

I became tense and started gnawing on my cuticles and obviously Tom noticed the change in my demeanor.

“What it is my love?”

“Huh?? Nothing… “I said while looking intensely at my phone, scrolling through the comments on the article.

“What does this bitch have that I don’t?” “She must be a rebound!” “Omg, what is he thinking!?”

They were right! Why is he with someone like me? I’m no Taylor Swift!

I began feeling my chest tightening around my lungs and my eyes became wider as these thoughts bounced around in my head.

“Y/N, hey, talk to me, what it is?” Tom sat up straight with a big concerned look on his face

I looked up at him, a small tear was beginning to form in the corner of my eye, as I sighed while giving my phone to him. He studied it while I looked down.

“This is stupid Y/N, do not listen to those people, they are just writing these things to get attention”

I looked up at him, now with tears streaming down my face. He quickly pulled me to him and wrapped his arms around me, making me feel instantaneously safe and calm.

“I think you are the most beautiful and intelligent woman I know! I do not care what anybody else thinks! You are the only one I want!”

He looked straight into my eyes and held my gaze, softly wiping the tears from my face. I smiled at him and couldn’t help but take in his words. He wouldn’t say them if he didn’t mean it. Tom is not that kind of man. I simply nodded and placed a kiss on his lips. Our foreheads leaned against each other and we smiled.

We had dated for now 3 months, and everything was perfect, even though he had been travelling for about a month. I missed him like hell, but I didn’t mind the alone time, it gave me the opportunity to not forget myself in this relationship. One day I was cleaning my apartment while listening to my music with my headphones on. I danced around to TLC’s “No scrubs” while dusting off my shelves, when Tom entered the apartment. I had given him a key, so he could stop by when he wanted to. He stood leaning against the doorframe while watching me dance around whilst singing with a Swiffer duster swaying in the air

“No, I don’t want no scrubs, a scrub is a guy that can’t get no love from me…”

Tom couldn’t help chuckle at the sight of me, and when I turned around whilst doing my best hip hop moves, I saw him, which gave me such a scare that I jumped up and squealed

“Aarrrhhhh!!! Tom don’t do that!” I pulled my earphones out and put a hand up to my heart, which felt like it was about to jumped out of my chest.

“Oh, I’m so sorry my love, but you looked so adorable dancing around” He picked me up and hugged me while twirling me around, as he put me back down again he placed a deep kiss on my lips.

“What are you doing here? Thought you would be away for another few days?” I said while playing with his hair.

“Yeah, we finished up early, so I had to come home and see my goddess” He pulled me into another loving hug

“And… I want to ask you if you wanted to go to a party with me?”

I gave him a surprised look,

“A party? Like together, as a couple?”

“Yes darling. I want you to meet some of my friends, and there is this party where some of them will attend. What do you say love?”

I chewed on my cheek and looked at Tom with a gaze of insecurity. Tom read me like an open book and took my hands in his.

“My love, you have nothing to worry about! They will love you! I promise, and I will be there by your side”

“Okay, it’s just… I never been introduced to anyone’s friends before.”

Tom hugged me, and his eyes caught mine, he placed a small kiss on my lips, making me long for another

“It will be fine, I promise you.”

I let out a big sigh and smiled up at him and leaned in for another kiss. I guess I’m going to meet his friends... oh fuck!

“But what am I going to wear?” I said almost to myself, which made Tom laugh

“Ehehehe, I know whatever you pick you will look gorgeous”
