new tutorial, this time for "fake" medals you can use to decorate your jacket or any stuff really.

give yourself a weird award you yourself came up with, coorperations do it all the time!

stuff you will need:

-scissors

-variation of pliers

-a stencil, the shape you want the fabric part of ur medal to be, make it a bit bigger so youll have room to sew

-piece of fabric two times the size of your stencil

-sewing needle

-sewing thread, i use dental floss

-safety pin

-paperclip, or just iron wire, around 1 mm Ø

-bottlecap

start with cutting out the two pieces of fabric for your medal using a stencil

pin em to eachother, with the sides you want to be on the outside, facing inwards.

sew along the side but keep the top open, so you can flip it inside out.

now you can flip in inside out, and fold the top around the safety pin, and sew it down

make sure the side of the pin that doesnt open is the one being sewn down. the opening part should be on top.

bend the paperclip into something resembling the shapes in the pic below using the pliers, doesnt need to look good, mine sure dont

bend the edges of the bottlecap to the inside, and pin the hook part of the right iron wire thing down under the edge

connect the iron wire hoop you made (left in picture) to the piece of iron wire on the bottlecap. fold the point of the fabric part of the metal around the hoop and sew it down.

should look something like this.

now you can add decorations, you can paint the cap aswell as the fabric part, using patterned fabrics can also make ur medals look nicer.

ive seen people advise using modgepodge to seal the painted cap, instead of nailpolish, i dont have modpodge where i live but use that if youre able to get ur hands on it.

~ You work for Velvet and Veneer. You’re their assistant. You help get their outfits and makeup ready, and you do the effects for their shows.

~ There’s one thing that makes your job harder than it should be though, and that’s Veneer. You have the biggest crush on him. It gets so overwhelming being around him so much. Especially when you have to do his makeup. You get to hold his face in your hands, and sometimes he stares at you while you do it.

~ Unfortunately for you, Veneer knows about your feelings for him. I mean, it’s not hard to notice. He finds it so cute and funny how you avoid eye contact with him. And how you sometimes stutter when you answer a question from him.

~ While Veneer is the nicer twin compared to his sister, he can still be a little bitch. He purposely looks you dead in the eyes when you do his makeup, because he knows it makes you wanna die of embarrassment. He will also “forget” to put on some of his accessories before going on stage, just so you’ll rush over to him to put it on for him.

~ After this has been going on for a while, he comes to the realization that he may have a crush on you too. He was not expecting that. So now, Veneer’s actions are less about teasing you, and more about being closer to you.

~ Veneer will ask you specifically to do his makeup first. He claims it’s because you take longer with Velvet’s makeup, but he just can’t wait to be near you.

~ When he’s done with a show, he’ll immediately run up to you, asking how he did. He looks like a little puppy, waiting to get a treat after doing a trick. Of course, you tell him that he did an awesome job, and Veneer’s happy for the rest of the day. He also compliments your work on the stage effects, saying that you made him look more fabulous than he already is.

~ Now, you guys are both smitten with each other. You can’t stand being apart for even a few minutes. Velvet hates this, and she wants to throw up every time she sees you guys being all cute. You guys are basically already a couple, even though you have no idea Veneer feels the same you do.

This takes place in a universe in which Floyd mans up and takes those kids in after being reminded of their existence and informed of their situation. There are some other things that sets this AU apart from Ziva’s but I’m not gonna spoil any more than I probably already am. Plus, the AU is still a work-in-progress.

The kids are sent straight to Pop Village after the events of Trolls World Tour, and all of BroZone is informed of the kids’ existence after ancestry test results come out.

Why’s Eddy M pissed at Floyd, you may wonder? It’s because Eddy M knows Floyd knew of his and Ravin’s existence from the start and didn’t bother being part of their lives until Floyd was reminded of their existence and informed about their situation. Ravin knows that too, but she’s more upset that she’s reliving the trauma she and her brother underwent.

In the Mirverse, Eddy M and Ravin’s Techno dad died when they were five, and their Techno grandparents, whom they thought loved them, shunted them off to the Techno foster system where they were mistreated for being half-Pop.

The kids are supposed to be ten years old in this. If Floyd is thirteen when BroZone split, in his mid-twenties when he had those two eggs with that Techno troll, then he should be in his mid-thirties in this (at least in the Mirverse and according to my headcanons). If you notice the kids’ heights are possibly inconsistent for a ten-year-old, please ignore this error because I was too late to fix it. Maybe their time in the shitty-ass Techno foster system stunted their growth?

Wondering about Eddy M’s bandages? Well, all I’m gonna say is that Eddy M ran into trouble and got hurt. And nope, it wasn’t during his and Ravin’s time in the Techno foster system.

As for the clothes the kids are wearing? They were gifted those clothes when they were in the much nicer Pop Village foster home/orphanage.

Notice Floyd’s tattoo? The flowers are forget-me-nots, which I picked for a symbolic meaning that's literally in the name. I’m gonna let you try to figure out the rest (; btw the tattoo design isn't finalized, so it's subject to change.

Oh, and I hope you don’t mind the alterations and errors in Eddy M and Ravin’s designs. I was almost done with the pic so it was too late to fix those errors (the bangs and eyebrows), I’ll try to rectify that and see if I can make those details work next time I draw those two. As for the alterations, I wanted to simplify Ravin’s skin for ease of drawing and I struggled to make Eddy M’s Techno troll teeth work.

some more rylan headcanons

dylan has a bit of a tummy and softer pecs. he used to be self conscious about that, but has come to accept and like that part of himself, especially when ryan nuzzles tummy/chest pretty often.

ryan wears dresses/skirts pretty often. he never did at camp because duh he doesn't want to get his nicer clothes dirty. dylan nearly faints the first time he sees ryan in a black, lacy goth dress. wow.

ryan didn't have any family pets before, so he has never lived with a cat. that being said, he adores schrodinger and she definitely accepts him as dad #2. it took a bit of time, but neither of them will forget the first night where they were both chilling on the couch and she jumped onto ryan's lap instead of dylan's

they're both halfway decent at cooking and take turns, but neither will say no if one of them suggests just ordering a pizza

in high school dylan did gymnastics (which he keeps up a modified version of after losing his hand) and basketball (not by choice, his dad made him do it), in addition to band and physics club. ryan did track and field (he's always liked running), swim/rowing (duh), and was part of his school's small but loyal anime club. ryan also had a small stint in the mathletes, and wasn't actually too bad, but it just took up too much of his time and he didn't really like it, so he left

dylan grows his hair out a bit after the events of hackett's quarry. ryan likes to brush and braid it for him, sometimes, too.

likewise, dylan loves to massage ryan's scalp on wash day (honestly personal goals i would love someone to massage my scalp on my wash days lol)

ryan isn't big on social media except for sharing progress on his animation projects, buuut he definitely loves how often dylan posts pictures of them, and lets dylan pick what picture of them he should use for his profile pic

guess who is scared of needles and isn't dylan? ryan can't help it, okay! dylan holds his hand through the entire time for his first tattoo (it is a small tribute to his late dad)

meanwhile dylan has a scarily high tolerance for physical pain. sometimes it concerns ryan, but dylan will often reassure him that he will let him know if he is really hurt.

dylan is obvious when he's jealous, ryan simmers in silence. their jealousy never lasts long, though. their bond and loyalty to each other is just too strong.

miscommunication is somewhat of an issue early on in their relationship. dylan tries so hard to always be 'on' and 'blase dylan' to avoid facing some of the trauma and awkwardness that it frustrates and confuses ryan, especially since he can see through it. with a bit of progress in therapy for both of them and a few difficult conversations, they find a healthy balance that allows them to deepen their relationship.

they love sitting in each other's laps. again, not necessarily big on PDA, but goddamn ryan often uses dylan for a seat and dylan usually has at least one limb laid over ryan at minimum. they just like the physical contact

ryan helps dylan shave after he loses his hand. he's so gentle and tender. they'll never forget those moments, looking into each other's eyes as ryan gently moved the blade. dylan learns again how to shave his face properly with his slightly less dominant hand, but every so often he'll make big puppy dog eyes and ask ryan to do it. ryan says yes every time.

ryan finds them new podcasts and shows for them to binge. dylan finds them concerts and community events to go to.

they get married by a judge with little fanfare and have a pretty sick party with their families and fellow hackett's quarry survivors after. (yes they play truth or dare)

dylan is absolutely mesmerized by watching ryan swim for, y'know, obvious reasons.

ryan is instantly hot in his pants whenever dylan goes off on some nerdy rant.

they have a 'toy' chest, as well as an extra dresser in their closet full of leather and lace lingerie. oh, and dylan's sexy nurse costume.

"babe" is their often go-to pet names, but dylan does call ryan "big guy" more often than they'd like to admit. ryan also likes it more than he would like to admit.

4to2 Orchestra Deco Sims

Here comes a conversion of simmaggie's and the royalthornoliachronicle's Orchestra set.

This was a long time coming. I kept trying to make a couple things better by getting nowhere. The sitting deco sims (and their Sims 4 counterparts) have their coattails hanging so that regular chairs show through them. I made a couple chairs with really small seats for them - as seen in the side view of the brass section. A whole bunch of them have their bums slanted upwards and from the backside look like they aren't on the chairs, I can't fix that because Sims 4 deco sims are made from real Sims in blender and posed in there and then exported as obj files. No more moving parts to fiddle with in milkshape. They look fine but that coattail problem bugged the hell out of me and I finally had to admit to myself that that was it.

A few of the deco sims don't have the chair showing through as you can see. The deco sims shown above are repo'd to the violinist (not the instruments) for the string, winds, and brass sections. They all have two subsets. The outdoor pics were my first run through to take previews and found the coattail problem.

The conductor, male and female choir members, male soloist and two female soloists. I only did the black dress recolors for the female soloists. If you want the rest for yourself here are the templates for soloist 1 and soloist 2. The conductor is on a stand from the Merrie Minstels III set. Link for that coming soon.

The percussion section. The percussionists are all repo'd to the bass drum percussionist. He's using the bass drum from the Merrie Minstrels III set from Blue Heaven Sims. It's a way nicer drum thatn the one from the original set. The timpani is a single made from the timpani grouping. I made some recolors for the bass drum so that mesh is included. If you'd like to use the other instruments and the conductor stand from the Merrie Minstrels III set, you can find it HERE at Blue Heaven Sims.

The snare drum is from Kardofe's The Perfect Night Jazz Band set. The cymbal played by the cymbal player is a single of Simcredibles cymbals (also converted) from their Pump Up the Volume set. You need to use move_objects on to place all the deco sims.

Last but not least is the harp and harp player. I cloned Dr Pixel's stereo harp for the base. I cannot get those strings to look decent. They started out as fragmented shiny bits and my fiddling got them whole but still not perfect. If anyone knows a way to fix my problem, will you please do so and share the fix with me? Pretty please? I made the harp a stereo since if my Sims are gonna see the orchestra, they should get a little music out of the deal.

I made some very minor edits to my Man-Spider ref for Peter (link) so since Kaine is the source of the man-spider transformation in-universe (...spoilers?), I figured I ought to sketch out some stuff.

Tarantula transformation in AU is pretty similar to regular 616—he dies, he becomes a freaky spider guy for a bit. There's no cocoons or anything though, just nasty body horror, and the circumstances are mildly specific in that in my AU Kaine is frequently on immunosuppressants (and a bunch of other medications), which has a side effect of... preventing the tarantula from happening in the event of fatality. So when this happens it necessitates Kaine being off of his medications.

It's the kind of thing where it's like, his body is actively trying to kill him at all times but also prevents him from dying, so the medications he takes make it so that's less intense/technically keep him alive, but also make it way easier for him to actually die (on account of being immunosuppressed) and also the meds... stop the tarantula from busting out if he dies, so it stops him from resurrecting... otoh his medications also help alleviate several of his agonies. so it's like. well, you know. he can't eat fermented food but at least he's not vomiting blood every day!

oh btw here is a side by side comparison of Kaine and Peter's faces:

Kaine is a little paler and still has a nose. lmao. also he has so much hair it looks much nicer than Peter's—Peter has thick hair but he doesn't have hair like Kaine does, you know?? It's more obvious when half of it falls out, though I think I probably still made Kaine's hair too thick and nice looking.

You can also see that their little iridescent bits are slightly different colors.

Raihan:

Being a celeb himself, it’s not uncommon for him to attend events with other celebrities. He mingles about the small party, happily chatting with other guests, and feeling terrible for you as he watched you trail your charge around. As a bodyguard, this was your job, but as the little celeb spilled drinks and shouted at you, he couldn’t help but feel like you should find a new career.

Sadly, Raihan knows that going over to you is going to do more harm than good. Your celebrity charge pitches a fit if people talk to you instead of her, so he just admires the faces you make as the celeb chatters to people and generally acts a fool. If it wouldn't be detrimental to you, he'd go over and give you a kiss, to prove to your disbelieving charge that you're actually dating him (which she has mocked you about before despite there being pics on line of you two?), but alas, you told him no

You always have good stories when the both of you return home. Something stupid the celeb did, the comeuppance she got, how this or that occurred and it was the "worst thing to ever happen to her." You two share good laughs over the stories plus the media posts made about her shenanigans, and you assure Raihan you're looking into other charges to bodyguard for instead of prissy pants, but for now, he works on being a breath of fresh air once you come home

Leon:

Your charge is borderline in love with Leon, it's a little scary sometimes how obsessed she can be. So you and him keep quiet about your relationship whenever you're around with her, just so no drama occurs. Leon's not the biggest fan of your little celeb, but he has an image, and he's honestly just too nice to ever say no to a fan, no matter how bratty they are

One of the things that get him through it are your faces, made whenever she's not looking. Leon is trying so hard not to laugh when you wrinkle your nose or roll your eyes. He knows you think this job is a joke at this point, but contracts and all. He tries to make things easier for you whenever you're around by dropping hints that maybe your celeb should act a little nicer, but they don't tend to work

You don't mind, you're just happy to go home and be with him. You two joke and laugh over your dumb faces, and Leon tries to convince you to drop your celeb for someone else soon. Contracts can be broken under the right circumstances, can't they? You shrug at him and promise you're looking into it, so he pulls out his trump card. Be his bodyguard?

Piers:

It's a win/lose situation. On one hand, your celebrity charge is a fan of his, meaning you get to come to all of his gigs. However, it also means he can't talk to you after the gig because the celeb is demanding all of his attention and forces you to wait a few feet away so he won't be "distracted" Piers is honestly done with it, but this is your job, and so he tries his best not to be an ass back

But it's very hard, especially when your charge shows how much she likes to bad mouth you. She doesn't understand why anyone would want to talk to you, since she's there and you're only her bodyguard. It makes Piers want to rip his hair out, but you've already told him that this happens and you couldn't care less what she thinks, so he bites his tongue. He doesn't control his annoyed expression, though, which leads to her trailing off more often than not. Small miracles.

Piers is already on the phone with your company to assign you to someone else. He hates that you work for such a brat, and wants you guarding someone else, someone with manners. He'll step down if you ask him to, but please assure him you're quitting asap, else he'ls going to tear into that celeb the next time she calls you names

When artistic visionary Ann Ghelld passed away, she bequeathed her beloved townhouse to the city as affordable housing for fellow creative types... on one stipulation; that nobody touched its eccentric and wildly impractical layout. While this final request has caused its share of architectural headaches, nonetheless, the Ann Ghelld Building survives in the heart of Sim City’s basket weaving district. Upon crossing its unusual threshold you might grab a coffee from Cafe Urele, pick up a bouquet or snacks from LlaMart Convenience, or simply catch the elevator up to any of its three apartments.

I love watching LilSimsie’s videos, even though we play different editions, and I particularly enjoy her shell challenges - where she uploads empty exterior walls and others have to make a lot out of it. I especially liked this one, referred to lovingly by LilSimsie & her followers as the “Big Mistake Shell Challenge” - because all the exterior walls are 100% diagonal.

This is just as difficult to work around in TS4 as it is in TS2, so I wanted to join in the torture! The (wonky) red lines mark the untouchable shell. I ended up really happy with the results, so I’m sharing this fully-furnished, cleaned, play-tested, CC-free apartment building in the hopes you’ll enjoy it too.

🚨 PLEASE LOAD THIS LOT BEFORE MOVING SIMS IN 🚨

When you move Sims into an apartment, it’s difficult to safely alter anything outside, so please make sure to check that everything is as it should be before you move Sims in.

You do not need CC or mods to play this lot. However, it was made with a few common mods in mind, and if you don’t want to use them, please tweak the lot before playing:

Rugs have been placed off-grid. Either make sure you have Rugs Off The Grid, or delete/move rugs to avoid graphical glitches as seen in these previews.

If you don’t have Water Inaccessible Flowers and Trim Inaccessible Bushes then you may need to move/delete some landscaping and/or fences.

The ground floor was designed for use with Apartments & Shopping On The Same Lot. If you don’t use this mod, nothing bad will happen, but the bottom floor will not sell anything except via the vending machines & electronics kiosk. You can replace the convenience store with a common area such as an indoor pool, computer room, etc, or even another apartment; I honestly recommend leaving the cafe as-is, because your playable Sims can still work there as a barista.

There is no CC in this lot, but there are some deco "accessory” items not normally accessible by players (e.g. a saucepan). If you delete these you may not be able to replace them. Similarly, some items were placed with Shiftable Everything. If you delete some items you may not be able to replace them in the same positions without this mod.

A corner counter in the top apartment may not corner properly when the lot is placed. This can be fixed with moveobjects. Although it clips, it is considered within the apartment, so you can put objects on it without apartment cheats.

If you don’t use Shiftable Trash Chutes, your chutes may appear glitched (see below). This is harmless and can be fixed simply by replacing the chute. Note: the chute on the second floor was originally placed with the cheat setquartertileplacement on.

If you play with CC, then I also have some suggestions for where it might improve this lot:

The expensive computer in the cafe (I hate that hideous thing) would be much better as a laptop.

The flower plots on the rooftop would also make a great produce garden with Honeywell’s placeable garden plots.

You can replace a corkboard in the lobby with a jobs board.

The signs for Cafe Urele might look nicer with a recolour or swapped out for a cute sandwich board.

The bike racks by the basketball court look a bit bare without some deco bikes.

The bare brick wall at the back of the building is prime real estate for some graffiti.

The busker’s guitar out the front will look a little more appropriate with an invisible amp recolour and maybe a decorative case.

If you find all the lights overpowering, don’t forget to turn some off.

And of course, don’t forget to add fences, hedges, etc. that will make this lot blend in better with the surrounding lots in your hood.

The first apartment has two separate bedrooms; Currently, it’s furnished as though occupied by two unrelated roommates - one sewist and one musician - but it could also work for a parent and a child. It has this kitchenette common area as well as a small balcony.

The second apartment is the most “luxury”. It’s a cozy open-plan studio with a double bed, a small but quality kitchen, and its own balcony. This is ideal for a D.I.N.K couple or perhaps a single Romance Sim.

The top apartment is the smallest and cheapest, barely fitting a kitchenette and single bed, but there’s space to move out on the building’s largest balcony. Perfect for an artsy single Sim working or studying in the big city. (The little reading nook bumpout is my favourite detail.)

All bathrooms are more or less identical, with a toilet, basin, medicine cabinet, trash can, and shower. The second floor studio has a shower/bath combo.

I wanted the lot to have free skilling opportunities, so all residents have access to the rooftop garden and free use of the crafting station & chess set there. There’s also a bookcase in the cafe, a guitar on the street for busking, an outdoor gym, and a basketball hoop.

Sims should be able to access everything (except the flowers/hedges - see above) without routing errors, though of course, with such an “interesting” layout, your Sims might get a bit cramped and fussy. The only issue I ran into is that there’s nowhere on the second floor for the newspaper to be delivered, so it often glitches into the apartment on the left, regardless of which apartment you live in. You can retrieve the paper in buy mode without cheats. This is not an issue on the top floor.

City of Stars was a weird combination of pulpy fluff and some fairly serious commentary on social media, shipping and the damage it can wreak on RL partners and how shitty and hypocritical some 'fans' can be. I don't think the actors were quite strong enough to carry the Fueng and Krom roles unfortunately - I couldn't help thinking that Star Hunter has/had some better, more experienced options. I kept thinking about what BankBonus (PokTong in Gen Y)* could have done in these roles.

Stlll, a nice chat about sexual preferences early in the relationship (yay - verse boys represent), condoms (lube still a step too far it seems) and some positive trans rep. Plus some great friendships. Shame Fueng got his confidence for singing back though.

Mind you, the giant pic above his bed of Fueng with an electric guitar being a rock god did rather undermine the whole lack of confidence in singing thing. Actually the whole house was a bit odd - the year round Christmas tree, the piles of (i think) the same gifts on the counter

Yes, it was explained as her decision and she absolutely should have that choice but why was it even a talking point?

Anyway the final ep was charmingly domestic and sappy, And yes, since you ask, I would use Zendaya as an app. And Zendaya herself should be the CEO - much nicer than that muskrat.

*I see that the latter two terminated their contracts with StarHunter in Feb this year - fingers crossed for more opportunities moving forward. They were absolutely the only thing that kept me watching Gen Y...

Season 7 is currently Samgirl-ifying me. (And why Sam believing he's inherently a 'freak' is so tragic.)

Idk what it is about this show that makes me keep switching which brother I like more/find more tolerable/think is morally superior. (Actually, I think the answer is that it switches between which character/character's storyline is the focus. At the start of the show, it felt like it was often Sam's pov plus he wasn't fully in the hunter life and hence acted nicer/kinder which made me agree with him more morally despite simultaneously simping for dean. Then again with the demon's blood arch, I was like sam is being mistreated why is dean acting like he's so inherently evil. Now with the lucifer in sam/fall out of that situation I'm once again like, Sam is in the right and I feel really bad that he keeps getting treated like he's inherently messed up to the point he's internalized it. Plus he gets shit for really normal healthy things like going for fricking run)

Long post so summary: I find Sam's recurring theme of being seen as inherently different or a freak (compared to Dean feeling like he won't fit in or can't live a normal life because of his lifestyle or choices) to be compelling. First, we see it in the demon blood arch where his own father tells his brother that he might have to kill him because he's born wrong and has an evil within him. Now it comes back with his Lucifer-induced mental breakdown/psychosis and how Dean constantly treats him like he's doomed because of it and isn't willing to believe he can change ('the other shoe always drops').

Because of this, he has a really interesting episode [The Girl Next Door] with the Kitsune girl from his childhood (Amy Pond. nice name choice) where it focuses on his feelings of being a "freak" and outsider and how that leads him to be compassionate towards her. Which uh... ends up not working since dean goddamn goes and kills her in front of her son afterward in a move that was totally fucked up and should have ended up with him at the very least admitting he was wrong for it.

I'm on s7e9 now, but from that moment on, Sam's stayed the more emotionally mature one (let's be real, he usually is tbh), from trying to initiate much-needed conversations between him and Dean (multiple times!) to making a pretty good lawyer for Dean and trying to convince him to not feel guilty.

(he also takes care of his health –eats healthier, goes on runs goes camping– which I find very likeable tbh)

I started feeling for him because of the Lucifer situation, which was probably the most horrifying/scary thing I've seen on the show yet from a psychological standpoint. The idea that you don't know if literally anything around you is real or if it's your torturer (or abuser if we/I project it on a real-world situation) tricking you into thinking it's real just to tear it apart is... really scary.

(also ignore sam sorta looking like hes smiling in the pic the screenshot ended up like that but could be bothered to retake cus most of it was blurry)

Side note: I also really felt for Dean in the scene where he came back to Bobby's house to find it burnt down. Like the feeling of hopelessness resonated with a past me. (Dean's feelings of being unfixable or unredeemable definitely contribute to me wanting to see him become a better person and become happy. but hey I know the show's ending so 🙃)

Back to the Kitsune episode. (wrote a lot up there so pics)

What's so sad about the scene with Dean and him there is:

He really isn't a freak. Anyone would be messed up if they were stuck in a cage in the worst part of hell with two extremely powerful angels, one of which is Lucifer. None of that is his fault, and if anything, he's handling it really well. He's still trying to save people despite everything, what else could you expect of someone.

After Sam compares himself to Amy, after he tells him he's managing so so is may... Dean goes and kills Amy. After Sam tells him, I'm just like her... Dean kills her. THAT'S LIKE DEAN TELLING HIM HE CAN'T CHANGE. THAT'S LIKE DEAN IS SAYING I DON'T BELIEVE A FREAK CAN EVER BE ANYTHING ELSE. Right after telling Sam he didn't believe he could have actually gotten better earlier that episode.

Sam always believes he's inherently messed up because his family's conditioned him to believe that because they've kept treating him like a ticking bomb instead of a human who is going through stuff and who needs support.

Hi! just wanted to ask you, I see you often include peoples CC in your builds, except for a very few that say they don't want it. I really wanna upload some of my old projects that include TONS of cc, however after literally 3 hours now searching and checking, i've only barely managed to find only some of the creators TOU's, some don't have one, some do but don't have links or I can't find it... This is a huge problem for me, and I was wondering if this amount of time to find each item is normal when you first start uploading builds with CC

A lot of my CC included is cc that i myself downloaded from other peoples builds and not even creators i know of, and the amount of cc is so large that i don't think it's possible for me to find every link or that anyone would even want to download so much stuff separately. Furthermore sometimes i only include like one item so the person would have to download a whole massive set then find the right item... What are your recommendations for this? bearing in mind that my blog is tiny, and i make (and plan not to make) any money from these shares... I cant do cc free versions cause they're things i carefully made with lots of cc and i cant make them without If it is too complicated for me to include i'll just make showing videos and screenshots, but i feel it's nicer to share the project.

Hello🐹and Yes _(:з」∠)_ finding the corresponding CC creators and links do require a large amount of time...it will get a bit better though as later on you may reference your earlier posts to look for the links much easier. As for the TOUs, if I couldn't find one I would ask the creators directly, if I couldn't get a respond and the CC does not affect gameplay (i.e. does not require constant updates), I may choose to include them in the download-folder, but should the creators contact and express discomfort, I must respect the creator's wishes and remove the files from the download-folder.

I tend to and will provide all CC links for my builds even if the amount of CCs is large (though looking back my earlier builds have quite a messy CC list...I hope to rectify them one day _(:з」∠)_...). If there are - for example - 40 individual CCs that creators had expressed not to be included in tray-file download, then I will only provide 40 links and not include the CCs. It will be up to the downloader(?)'s choice to decide whether they wish to download my build, knowing that they will have to download so many CCs separately.

And though I've only started this habit recently, I tend to use CCs from the same set/pack in one build, and avoid only using one from each set. If you must use only an item from one set, you may state what object is used, and let the downloaders decide whether it's worth it to download the entire CC set just for that one object, or they'd substitute the object themselves. There would be times, when I'm building for my own save/story and I would like to pick whatever I want and disregard of the packs and stuffs, that's when I would make a mirror-build and replaces all the singled-CCs with ones that are of the same set. It does take extra time, but I'm okay with it (´･ω･`)

Just do whichever makes you comfortable (while in compliance with creators' TOUs and stuff...) ( •̀ ω •́ )✧👍In fact another reason for me to provide CC-links is because I understand sometimes people may see some CCs from my videos/pics and be interested in the CCs, but doesn't wish to download my entire build _(:з」∠)_ so that's when the links come in handy, and people may obtain the CCs without downloading the build. Texture hair and favourite for Vesper please! So interesting!

Ooooo let's see, a lot of these have dual answers, one for before and one for after they lose their memories so I'll include both

Texture: Does your OC favor any specific kinds of cloth or textures? Is there anything they can't wear or don't like? What sort of fabrics do they prefer?

So pre-amnesia I think there's a big strain of "my body is the tool by which I slaughter, not something to be decorated and enjoyed" in their thinking and they're willing to wear more or less anything. They generally dress neatly in public because it attracts less attention and will put on whatever they need to get into places without notice, but they don't really tend to think of clothing and fabrics in terms of like and dislike. I think the one thing they do insist on even then is no long sleeves, because before we had synthetic stretchy fabrics sleeves often didn't have a lot of give and could restrict arm movements and as a wizard hand and arm movements are essential to them. I think once Gortash tried to get them into some fancy outfit with tight sleeves and Vesper just took a knife and cut them off above the elbow while looking him dead in the eye. They may have also implied he was trying to fuck with their casting on purpose for his amusement. After that display he made sure everything he gave them had loose sleeves.

I also think it's through Vesper's acquaintance with Gortash that they slowly start to have opinions about fabrics beyond just the practical. He's always asking them questions about what they like and are they enjoying this and putting them in fancy fabrics and that does cause them to slowly (very slowly) start to form opinions of their own. They like the cool softness of silk and don't like velvet (they hate the feeling of dried blood crusted onto velvet). They prefer looser clothes for ease of movement and don't like stiff fabrics. I think there's a lot of internal conflict for them when Gortash learns their preferences and gifts them clothes (both for parties and more everyday wear) that are exactly what they want. And then wearing whatever they would wear in the temple which they didn't notice before but now know isn't properly tailored for them and isn't made of the fabrics they like best and think longingly of the clothes Gortash had made for them and how much better they feel and how much nicer they look and are shaken by it, because this wasn't really something they thought about before, or if it was it was something they could easily dismiss. But now they're out there thinking about clothes and their body not just as necessary tools but as sites of beauty and pleasure and it isn't something they can repress anymore like they could before. They can't even escape it by studying magic (which has always been their great love and great escape) because now they notice that the clothes they're wearing aren't cut properly for their shoulders and they can feel it when they practice somatics!

Once they lose their memories, their preferences remain the same though it takes them some time to rediscover them. They're also significantly less ashamed of them because, well, they don't know that they should be.

Hair: How does your OC wear their hair? Does it have some kind of meaning?

(I have pics of their styles in their tag, if you want a visual) They've always worn their hair short, partially as a consesion to the practicality of keeping their hair out of the way, partially because they just prefer it that way. Pre-amnesia, their hair was sort of their one little vanity. They could have cut it shorter but didn't because they liked the way it looked. It did tend to slip out of its hold as the day went on and fall into their eyes just a bit so they'd often impatiently brush it back into place, often with bloody hands that would result in red-brown streaks that stood out very obviously against their white hair. They usually had to wash their hair again before going out in public because of it.

In game, their hair is a little shorter and not quite as nice looking because Kressa hacked it off to make it easier to manage while experimenting on them in the mindflayer colony. They did feel a sense of loss when they first saw their hair after escaping the nautiloid but couldn't have explained why. It's growing back out and they'll likely go back to a similar style to what they had before.

Favorite: Does your OC have a favorite article of clothing or accessory? What is it? What's the meaning behind it? Do they wear it all the time or do they wear it sparingly to keep it safe?

Pre-amnesia, it's a pair of boots that Gortash had made for them very soon after they start working together (and the first gift he gave them). I think he saw the shitty, ill-fitting shoes they wore and maybe even saw them trip during a fight due to them being too big and getting stuck in some gap in the cobblestones and was like. No. Absolutely not. Not in my house. And had a nice, well fitting, properly cushioned pair of leather boots made for them. It's a gift that's so eminently practical that Vesper was actually able to accept them without being too weird about it. The second gift they receive from him (and another piece of clothing they treasure) is a pair of the thinnest silk gloves enchanted to retain heat. This is an extravagant gift and Vesper feels that they should refuse because one practical and not massively expensive gift is one thing but this is a completely different thing and establishes a pattern, but he offers them the gloves in the middle of winter and they want them so badly because they can't wear normal gloves and cast so their hands are always freezing. So they do take them, even though they kinda feel like they shouldn't, and I do think it's this moment that both opens the floodgates for Gortash to keep giving them gifts and marks a point where their relationship really starts to intensify. Both of those gifts hold a lot of meaning for them and they wear the boots basically all the time (and the gloves all the time in the colder months).

Post-amnesia, I think it's their collection of earrings that they come off the nautiloid still wearing. They're the only things they have from their previous life so they cling to them because they have nothing else. Most of them are from Gortash, but a couple of them come from previous victims that they respected in some way (someone who fought well, someone who threw himself at them and managed to distract them long enough for his lover to escape, someone who was kind to them). They know none of this, just that they feel very protective over them for reasons they don't quite understand.

I can't wait to see Nefera again in G3 💚 I'm curious to see what her personality will be like this time. I honestly never liked how cartoonishly evil and mean Nefera was to her sister it was just too much paired with their father Ram's constant criticisms of Cleo's life choices that Nefera would often stir the pot up over to begin with. With Nefera being such an overshadowing bully of a sister it made sense why Cleo constantly competed with and disliked Nefera so much but in G3 if Nefera is nice and a good sister I won't understand Cleo's huge dislike of her sister this time around?

I think in G3 Nefera will be a good older sister who is a lot more mature and graceful yet struggling with perfectionism trying to be the perfect future pharaoh and in the process this could make Cleo jealous of her sister because she thinks her sister is perfect and it makes her insecure comparing herself to Nefera and it doesn't help that sometimes unintentionally when Nefera tries to guide Cleo she comes off as a know it all or sounds like she's trying to tell Cleo what she should be doing. I think what will bring Cleo and Nefera together later on is that they're sisters no matter who is on the throne and they vent about their Dad's high expectations/pressure of them together.

In G1 aka Haunt Couture Cleo's diary there is a moment where Ram reminds his daughters telling them that they're family when Cleo and Nefera are arguing at dinner and this actually inspires Nefera to be nicer to Cleo by knocking on her door instead of barging in and the two have a heartfelt conversation as a result so I'm wondering if this G3 Nefera is the result of that possibly?

→ another one who absolutely loves taking pictures with you, i also see him as the type to take pictures of everything. from outside scenery, to animals on the street and random silly photos of his coworkers

→ his phone died when he wanted to take a photo of a cat passing by, so he used your phone instead. once he finished, he opened your photos so he could send them to himself.

→ he gets a little sidetracked when he notices how many albums you have, with curiosity getting the best of him he’s scrolling through the album names until he sees one in particular so him being him, he opens it

→ so him being him he opens it and his jaw drops, who knew you had so many pictures of him. he’s not complaining though, he looks great in them and he’s not trying to sound self centered. but somehow when you take photos of him, they come out so much better

→ he’s going to very much approach you about it, he’ll even show you the secret album he has of you

karou

→ karou is camera shy, he has no photos of himself (unless you’re in them) and doesn’t give anyone the luxury of taking his picture. the only people who can get his picture are you and masumi

→ now he knows the type of pictures masumi has on his phone, so he knows if his picture is there, it’s probably for blackmail. he also knows you take lots of selfies with him in the frame on purpose, to which he’s totally fine with

→ but he’s speechless by what he finds a whole album for him on your phone, it was a pure accident on how he found out. you’d left your phone unatened and he noticed the battery dying, being the considerate boyfriend he is, he goes to charge it − until he found the album

→ and it’s all sorts of photos, from him cooking, doing chores, some of them when he’s taken naps and to others it’s not a big deal or a little creepy

→ but he takes such pride in knowing you’ve done that for him, like my dude is literally smiling so hard his face will break
