just finished watching stranger s1, and starting stranger s2, but seriously the two main characters - si-mok and yeo-jin - give me such married not married vibes. they’re dating aren’t they?? they’re married aren’t they?? fighting corruption as a kickass team by day and relaxing at their favorite pop-up pub by night. so domestic.

hwanghan - not wanting to lose each other in a big crowd

They didn’t mean to be searching for a suspect on this busy subway platform, but he ran down the escalator, pulled himself to the middle and slid down like a kid at the playground. Yeo Jin tried to follow him the same way, but Si Mok grabbed her hand.  “You’ll get hurt!” he said, pulling her back and steadying her on the escalator so she didn’t lose her balance and fall into the people in front of them. She rolled her eyes, but kept his hand in hers as she started to push through the people to move down the escalator faster.  As the next train pulled in, people crowded in around them more, Yeo Jin completely lost sight of the suspect and spun around in place, searching the sea of people.  “Do you see him?” she asked, frustrated. Si Mok shook his head. She could barely move, as the doors opened on the train and waves of commuters pressed in. He pulled her closer to him, his other hand on her waist, and if they weren’t desperately searching, she might have taken a moment to consider that she liked being this close to him. She liked it a lot. 

Si Mok started to move to the side, pulling her with him, and once the train started loading passengers, the platform cleared out quickly. But they kept holding hands, even when she took a step forward so she wasn’t pressed against him. His hand fell from her waist and she tried to ignore the pang of loss at it. 

“He probably got on the train,” Si Mok offered before tugging her hand and heading back towards the escalator. “We’ll go back to Yongsan Station and you can check the cameras, we’ll figure it out.” 

Yeo Jin didn’t let go of his hand all the way back. Either he didn’t notice or like her, he didn’t want to let go.

When going through my forever unfinished hwanghan sketches, I came across this one, which was drawn exactly 2 years ago.

Since then I've tried mutiple times to “finish” it or render it beyond a sketch, but I felt like nothing came close to the gracefulness (and imperfection) that only the sketch holds.

Still there lied unfinished in my procreate folder one OK attempt at a digital painting of sorts, playing with light (which I'm still learning). But the foreshortening of the pose was NOT helping and their faces looked weird (I'm looking at you, Si Mok 😩).

So today I decided I would make a collab with my two-years-ago self and finally get it to a finish line! (is it ever over, though?)

It's not perfect but it feels good to finish something and learn from the process, even if it's taken two years.

Honestly I'm just super happy I get to draw these secretly married bbs in situations we wish were canon 😉

New Blog!

Hello everyone! I just made this blog dedicated to the great actor Cho Seung Woo because I really really REALLY think he needs more love here on Tumblr. 

I’m not new to Tumblr but it’s been a while so let’s see if I still remember how to use this app. 

I’ll be mostly reblogging for now. I will try to make my own posts, so hang in there, please.
