The Wanted Land | O Los deseos baldíos

Instalación-intemperie; de/liberada, inmediata, desprovista de todo subtexto y que se despliega y se concreta por su nulo interés de erigir o habitar discurso alguno.

En esta ocurrencia podemos leer/encontrar —o no— algunos de los objetos despojados de una ciudad asediada por la especulación inmobiliaria: llantas viejas, escombros, cartón, basura, muñones de varilla, y una formación de troncos calcinados que separan y 'ocupan' un terreno desolado o a medio construir. Y esa red colorida de [falsa] seguridad que sitia y dota de concreción a la idea/deseo de la propiedad privada [el capital] como potencia irresoluble que no puede, ni debe de ser-culminada. Ahí radica la contradicción que apuntala y revela a nuestro tiempo como una sola dirección ineludible: pues no se puede contener a aquello que —por ''naturaleza''— nunca acaba.

First stage of shooting the internationally acclaimed movie Killer Heat at Sitia airport Killer Heat is an upcoming movie from Amazon Studios. Directed by Philippe Lacôte and produced by Brad Weston, the film is based on Jo Nesbø's short story The Jealousy Man. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley and Richard Madden will star. On a remote Greek island, twin brothers (Madden) find themselves embroiled in a violent love triangle. A damaged detective known as "The Jealousy Man" (Gordon-Levitt) is called in to investigate the case. The adapted screenplay is written by Roberto Bentivegna with revisions by Matt Charman. Makeready's Brad Weston is producing the project, with Faliro House serving as local production entity. Gordon-Levitt will also executive produce alongside Nesbø, Niclas Salomonson, Tom Karnowski and Makeready's Collin Creighton. Principal photography began in April 2023. Slow and Steady

Just like the quiet, continuous backing of friends and family is the most empowering form of support, sometimes steady treatment is more effective than large single bursts of medicine. Colorectal cancers are particularly deadly when they spread to other parts of the body, which can happen even in patients who have the initial tumour surgically removed. Experiments have tried to reduce this spread by boosting the immune system with interferon alpha – a small protein that helps coordinate the immune system – but found limited success because of the side-effects of a heavy dose. A new study instead supplied a small steady stream of interferon alpha to mice with implanted tumours. Spread to the liver (pictured, cancer cells in green) was reduced as the immune system was better equipped to fend off intruders, and there were minimal side-effects. This approach might ultimately increase the efficacy of tumour removal surgery, keeping cancer away.

Showing yourself to the world, and hoping someone else understands." Babel by R. F. Kuang I had high hopes for Babel and thankfully it didn't disappoint. This is the first book that I read from R. F. Kuang and I loved her writing style. The book has the vibe of dark academia and grapples with student revolutions, colonial resistance and the use of translation as a tool of empire. The characters of the book were done really well and I especially liked our main character Robin Swift, who has an excellent character development. The three supporting characters were really good as well and I loved the friendship dynamics between the four of them. The book takes place in our world but adding the magic of silver-working makes it unique. Finally, the research that the author has done shows in every aspect of the book. I have light sensitivity because of my concussions and am still going through occupational therapy. One of the things that I have changed to prevent the headaches is inverting my computers colors. Youd think that just going dark mode on a couple things would solve the issue. But nope. There are these small text boxes and parts of webdesign that are just locked into being white. I ended up having to turn EVERYTHING into white mode. This allows me to just turn the color invert on to make it all a really clean black!

One of the strange consequences of this is that the images I view are inverted. Ive been doing this for most of the fall semester so I have gotten pretty used to seeing the internet in inverted colors. I think there are some really pretty things that you dont expect. I attached some pictures so you could see things through my eyes.

Yo tengo una senitiva a luz porque mi concusións y estoy aun yendo a terpia ocupacional. Una de las cosas he cambiada para evitar mis delor de cabeza es para invertir mi colores de mi computadora. Se podria creer que la moda negro es sufieciente para los sitias web. Pero no. Sitias web tienen cuadros de texto que simepre son blanco. Tengo que poner TODO a modo blanco. Esto me permite simplemente activar la inversion de color para que quede todo un negro realmente limpio.

Una de las extrenas consecuencias de esto es que las imagenes que veo estan invertidas. He estado haciendo esto durante la mayor parte del semestre de otoño, así que me he acostumbrado bastante a ver Internet en colores invertidos. Creo que hay algunas cosas realmente bonitas que no te esperas. Adjunto algunas fotos para que puedas ver las cosas a través de mis ojos.
