#so I'm glad Octavia did it the hard way

Here's what I don't understand about Stella stans. You realize that she NEVER cared about Stolas OR Octavia right? Even before Stolas cheated on her.
Stolas really just wanted to peacefully coexist with Stella.
Stolas: "I've tried so many years to make it comfortable for us. To have this family."
He knew he would never love her, and she would never love him, but he wanted them to at least be happy. Maybe even become friends.
Stella never cared about Stolas in any way. Instead of understanding that he didn't want this arrangement anymore that she did and find solidarity, everything she said and did to him was out of pure spite.
Stolas: "Why are you still here? You leave with Via on weekends, but you stay around the house despite everything."
Stella: "I like tormenting you. I want to keep reminding you of what you did."
She literally said it out loud. She was handed a valid reason to leave him, to end the relationship neither of them wanted to be in in the first place, but she flat out said that the only reason she stays was to "Torment" him.
Stella didn't even care enough about her own daughter to make their relationship work. They only reason she stayed was to make Stolas' life living nightmare, which ultimately damaged Octavia in the process. Stolas at least TRIED to put on a smile for her and tried to make her feel better despite the circumstances. Stella screamed at Stolas, calling him awful names and threw shit around in Octavia's presence. She was throwing "Not Divorced" parties to talk shit about her husband when Octavia was already a teenager, which means Stella's outward abuse towards Stolas began much before him cheating. Octavia's memories of her parents "not hating each other" must be from when she was still a little kid, because teenage Octavia was very much aware of Stella's abuse towards her father.
Stolas tried so hard to make it work, if not as lovers than at least as life partners. He put so much effort into making a good life for Octavia. HE was the one who got up in the middle of the night to comfort little Octavia. HE was the one to tried to make her smile by taking her to LooLoo Land. He tried so hard to care enough for the both of them, but he couldn't. Stella didn't care at ALL.
Stella: "I'm glad one egg fell out of me..."
She even referred to Octavia as the "egg" that "fell out of her". She couldn't even call Octavia her DAUGHTER to her friends.
The fact that there are still people out there defending Stella's actions is insane. I'm not even saying you cant like her as a character, but you can enjoy a character and still acknowledge their faults. If Stella didn't care about Stolas enough to make peace with him, she at least could have done it for Octavia, and she consciously chose NOT TO out of spite.
Stella is a selfish abusive asshole and she always has been (inferred by the picture of Little Stella). People are calling this "lazy writing" and making Stella "evil just to be evil", but some people are just born rotten, and that's the truth. Some people are just messed up from birth.
And also they're in LITERAL HELL??? Of COURSE there's going to be naturally shitty people. Stolas is an outlier of being actually decent, like Charlie or M&M.
Anyway that's my rant

@headstrongblake said: you always shield me from the truth because you don’t think i can take it. / bell
it pained him, wounded him in a way he couldn't quite explain, to see octavia slowly growing up between every visit. to know she was living so much of her life without him. to know how many huge milestones of her early life he was missing. he had already been separated from her once before and now, again, for years. it aged him more than the harsh life he survived through behind bars. but as painful as it was, and as often as they would end up fighting during these visits it was still the highlight of his month.
they sat now, opposite one another the first time after they had both been attacked. though his injury had been life threatening, the scars were hidden under his orange jumpsuit where as the fading marks of octavia's were still a faint shadow across her features. his hand gripped the phone tightly as he studied her with dark glossy eyes, the knowledge that she had been so severely injured without him around, without being able to stop them, to protect her. it was what nearly drew him to madness being locked up.
"hey o..." he began quietly, voice ragged with barely contained emotion. he was glad to have been updated by grant and nick about the rival members who did this to her, that they'd been dealt with but god he wished he could have been the one to do it. his jaw clenched, hand reaching to the glass to meet hers where she'd already placed it. "how're.. you doing...?" he asked and though she told him she was fine he didn't believe her, how could she be fine after what happened to her? in their own place. where he should have been there to protect her. a quivered breath of rage escaped slowly through his lips. this wasn't the time to get angry, not in front of her.
how about you...? she had countered and he blinked, swallowing thickly. his recovery had been slow, grueling, painful. the scars left would be ugly and leave his skin pinched and gnarled. the stitches still pulled at his skin and ached, and he was recovering from an infection from the surgery but he was alive. he offered a tight smile, "hey, i'm fine, don't you worry about me, kay...?" he tapped the glass in a playful manner but there was no trace of a smile mirrored back at him. i don't believe you. she told him and he scoffed, shifting -- though very carefully, "well i could say the same," he countered before she continued.
you always shield me from the truth because you don’t think i can take it.
bellamy's lips pressed together at that, a tightening spreading across his chest. he could see the hurt, the fear, the anger in her eyes and he knew it all lead back to the reason he was put in here in the first place, that's where it always lead. "o..." he began, looking down at the table he leaned against as his hand closed to a fist against the glass. "it's not that," he told her with a shake of his head. "it's not that i don't think you can take it, it's that you shouldn't have to." his voice shook as he lifted his head again to meet her eyes. "you shouldn't have to deal with any of this shit. not with me in here, not---" he cut off, anger rising as his voice grew deeper with rage. he had to breathe otherwise he'd be pulled away.
"i'm so sorry, o..." he whispered, guilt and longing twisting in his expression and swirling deep in his eyes. "i want to protect you because that's what i should be doing as your big brother, it's my job and i..." couldn't. he couldn't. not trapped in here. he had to leave her safety in her own hands, in nicks and the gang. and it was so hard to do. "i know you can take it... you're one of the strongest people i've ever known, you know that? tough as nails, a blake through and through... but i just wanted you to be a kid, to not have to worry about things that you shouldn't have to. and i'm so sorry i can't be there to help make that happen..."

Behind the Mirror (1)
LAST NEXT
Tumblr media
Theodora: He told us to come to Octavia's old reading room. He didn't come...Again. When will this game stop?
Melody: I know you're angry, Theo. He lied to you so many times, but you have to calm down. We can't accomplish anything good out of this if we're overwhelmed with strong emotions.
Tumblr media
Theodora: *sigh* It's not fair, Mels.
Melody: I know...But you have to keep in mind his past was problematic, and well, you know dramatic.
Theodora: Historically speaking most of my family had a problematic and dramatic life. I'm glad we don't.
Melody: I don't know, girl. Some stuff you've experienced was pretty lowkey problematic but that's not the point here.
What I'm trying to say is, if he is truly willing to show us his past with his own eyes, what else can we expect?
Tumblr media
He is obviously trying to reveal the truth.
Theodora: While you have a good point, I still find it hard to believe he is. I have trust issues at this point.
Tumblr media
Melody: I'm here, though, bestie. I've got you.
Tumblr media
Theodora: Thank you, Mel. Wooa. Who turned the light off?
Melody: Uhhh, I don't know.
Theodora: Wait, look! The mirror! It's glowing like in the night I've seen Silas' memory of Octavia's pregnancy.
Tumblr media
Melody: Why is it glowing though! Can't it just... well I don't know! Just show a picture.
Tumblr media
Theodora: Don't worry, it's harmless. Silas just likes to have a dramatic entrance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Theodora: See? What did I tell you.
Tumblr media
Silas: Hello there.
Melody: Ugh, that was a pretty good entrance.
Tumblr media
Silas: Well thank you, Princess Melody.
Theodora: Silas. Tell us what you wanted to tell us all along.
Silas: Alright. I will, but first, let me apologise for my behavior. I've heard you talking to Princess Melody. I didn't know you felt that way. I'm genuinely sorry.
Tumblr media
Theodora: ...*sigh* It's okay. Just...tell us please.
Tumblr media
Silas: Quick warning. These are my memories you'll see. You two will be inside of the mirror of memories.
Melody: That's the name of it?
Tumblr media
Silas: Yes, well, it had plenty of names before- but that is irrelevant. You'll see everything I can still remember. Some things ... I didn't lie when I said that I don't remember everything.
Theodora: ...
Silas: However, it's interactive. Don't do anything silly, the mirror is magical and can send you through time. We don't want that.
Melody: Seriously is there any operation manual for this Mirror. Apparentally it has a lot of features!
Tumblr media
Silas: Anyway... In case of time travel, take the bag in the closet right there. There is everything you need.
Tumblr media
Theodora: We can interact with your memories? Does that mean we can be seen?
Melody: AND change time if we mess up?
Silas: Sadly, yes, i'm afraid so.
Theodora: What are we going to do in case of an emergency?
Silas: This is the reason I'm allowing you there. To explore a side of you that you've never known existed.
Melody: Silas. For the love of everything in this universe, why are you still talking in riddles?
Silas: ...It's just my thing. You'll figure it out. I'll appear in the mirrors if you need me.
Melody: I don't know about you, Theodora, but this sounds dangerous.
Theodora: It probably is. I mean, if it helps us find out what we need to help, then I say we should go for it, though Mels I don't know if you should come, because of your kids.
Melody: Theo, you're my bestfriend. I'll help you. Please just don't assume we're gonna die.
Theodora: *sigh* alright. Let's do this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Silas: Good luck, Theodora.
Theodora: Thank you.
Note: Part 2 will be interactive. You can choose options in form of polls. Every option has a link underneath that will lead you to the next post. Remember: There are 3 options each, and only one can get Theodora and Melody out there safely. Choose wisely.

Top 5 Worst Films of 2019
It's been a while since I gave you something from the vault, so you can have something, as a little treat. Best of 2019 and Best & Worst of 2021 to be interspersed throughout the next few posts.
IMPORTANT: There will more than likely be spoilers, because I do not respect these films enough to calmly articulate my feelings for them. Also there is way more swearing in this post.
5. Glass
Tumblr media
It is a second sequel that shat on the second wind Shyamalan had after Split. David Dunn suffered an undignified death in a puddle and Dr. Staple is a member of an evil organisation that suppresses the existence of superheroes. The latter comes out of fucking NOWHERE and does NOTHING for the film, let alone the trilogy as a whole. Also, the last act is lifeless and I haven't felt this patronised by a film since 2017's Ingrid Goes West.
4. Hellboy
Tumblr media
The 2004 movie is in my all-time top 10. This 2019 disaster of a multi-genre whiplash didn't have a chance from the off. Everyone was wasted in this, actors AND the musicians who contributed to the soundtrack. It was lazy, it was unnecessary, and the post credits scene - namely, them finding Abe Sapien - was so optimistic about having a sequel, it was cute. I'm glad it bombed. Hard.
3. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Tumblr media
Yep, the one I saw just yesterday. Whilst I wanted Kylo Ren to fucking die, the film also fucking made Reylo canon immediately before, which is the one thing I didn't want them to do. It's soulless, it relies too much on the original trilogy, it's too long for its own good, and oh my fuck is it a elevator plummet in general from TFA. And yeah, I know 'elevator' is American. In this case, it's more effective than 'lift'.
2. The Goldfinch
Tumblr media
Proof that a film being based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel does not make it good. Every scene felt disconnected from the previous one, the plot likes to pop in for a cuppa every now and then, and it has more endings than a clitoris, none of which are anywhere near as pleasurable. Also, dear Hollywood: please stop giving Ansel Elgort work. Thanks.
Dishonourable mentions:
The Intruder: not as rage-inducing as the top five entries here, but still pretty crap. The character motivation is weak as hell and is never explained in a reasonable way.
Ma: Tries to be a hybrid of Carrie and Misery, fails at being both, can just wastes Octavia Spencer (and Diana Silvers, coincidentally in Booksmart).
Annabelle Comes Home: Straight up fucking boring. The best characters are only in it for about 9 seconds (proportionally speaking). Not much else I can say on that front.
And finally, the worst film I have seen this year...
1. Burning
Tumblr media
Oh fuck me, where do I begin? This film is based on a short story, and at 2.5hrs is about 45mins-1hr too long for its origins. The protagonist is a gormless moron (GM), the love interest is a wet blanket (WB) and the third party is basically a Korean Gatsby (KG). WB disappears, and the film makes it out to be like KG didn't murder her (which he did, movie). The film treats us like we're stupid, some shots go on for far too long, there is no plot AT FUCKING ALL, and worst of all, I didn't care about the protagonists. GM wanks in WB's empty flat and then pretends to be sad when WB goes missing. GM also stabs the shit out of KG to death at the end of the film, and honestly, I wanted to jump into the film and stab the shit out of GM himself. [REDACTED] put this as their 2nd worst film of the year, and as much as I love them, 2nd place is far too generous. Foreign language films do not get a theatrical release in the UK very often, so this was an insult on multiple levels. I wanted to like this film, I did, and I want to know more about Korean cinema beyond I Saw The Devil, but this burned me in that respect and I do not understand the praise it got from critics. Fuck this film. Fuck it to the depths of hell and back. And fuck you, whoever decided to give this a theatrical release in the UK, for that decision. I hope that you will be forever tormented by mice living in your walls that eat your food and cannot be removed, no matter what. Fuck. You.
Thanks again for reading, and happy New Year, everyone! See you soon! Hopefully for a year that is better for films than this one! ❤

1926 Pt1 - Into the Valley
Tumblr media
Del Sol Valley was completely different from living in Henford. The hustle and bustle of the growing city was exactly the kind of distraction David needed. Elena was both excited and nervous since she hadn't been home since she had married Daniel 18 years before
Tumblr media
Elena had written to her mother often over the years but Octavia had known as soon as she had recieved the phone call that something was wrong. "Thanks so much for letting us come and stay with you."
Octavia held her daughter tight. "Of course my dear. Stay as long as you need."
Tumblr media
Octavia finally acknowledged David who looked exhausted. "You both look like you could use some lemonade. Pearl was planning on taking the children to the Boulevard if they're up for it. If I recall they quite enjoyed the museum during their stay a few years ago."
Tumblr media
"It's weird being back here isn't it?"
Kye nodded as they walked up the familiar path. "It's like being back home but not quite. Our summer here was the first time I really felt..."
"Safe?"
"Yeah. And they were practically strangers at the time."
"But they weren't like Mari"
Tumblr media
"There they are!" Grampa Thorne greeted them at the door still in his jogging suit. They melted into his hug, relief flooding them like they hadn't even known how much they needed it until right then. "Now I hope you remember rule number one. All worrying is left at the door."
Tumblr media
While Aunt Pearl took the kids to the Boulevard and David got some rest in the guest room, Elena got some much needed time with Thorne. "I've been worried about you Lena. Your letters have changed over the last 3 years"
"You don't have to worry, Dad, I'm really happy with David"
Tumblr media
As they sat down to dinner later that evening Thorne became even more certain that something wasn't right. The kids had grown up but he had learned to read them well over that summer. Kye's rapid speech was a dead giveaway that he hadn't felt very safe at home.
Tumblr media
"Ugh you told this story already." Pearl rolled her eyes as Lizzie set in on another story about their great life as a family. Thorne frowned. That was Lizzie's tell, she had done the same with Mari, making everything seem perfect when really she was still dealing with nightmares
Tumblr media
"So, Elena tells me you've been working in a kitchen."
David shifted in his chair, "Yes sir, I know it's not glamourous but I've actually been enjoying the work."
"Nothing wrong with making a living. Elena never had to learn to cook so I'm glad to know she's not starving"
Tumblr media
"Dad, don't give David such a hard time. He's been working very hard to give us a good life."
"No it's okay. Sir, I know you don't know me well, but I would do anything for your daughter. I regret that our first meeting was at our wedding but I want to make that right now"
Tumblr media
"Perhaps we should take this conversation into the sitting room." Octavia finally spoke up.
He stood to his feet and looked at David. "Why don't we let the women have some time to gossip. Will you join me in my study?"
David swallowed knowing the question was merely a formality
Tumblr media
Thorne sat behind his desk as David fidgeted nervously. He wasn't like his brother who had stood before Thorne with such a foolish confidence. David shifted unsure if he should sit
"David I'm not going to beat around the bush, I liked Daniel. He knew how to impress me."
Tumblr media
David swallowed at his father-in-laws words as Thorne continued. "I was impressed with how he came all the way to the Valley to ask for my daughters hand. I understand my daughter was no longer under my roof when you began courting, but a phone call would have been nice."
Tumblr media
Thorne finally motioned for David to sit as he continued. "But despite Daniel's impressive actions, he did not make Elena happy. Every father hopes to see his daughter married to a man who can care for her. Seeing her loved is a rare blessing we don't dare ask for."
Tumblr media
"David, My daughter hasn't lived under my roof in 18 years, but that doesn't mean that I stop caring whether she's happy. I know she still loves you but I can tell you're not being honest with me"
After a moment David sighed, "You're right, we are having some...issues."
Tumblr media
The two men talked late into the night. Thorne had a worldly wisdom that was exactly what David needed in this dark time of his life. "I never imagined how much I would need this."
"Thank you for being humble enough to take it. We both want what's best for Elena."
"Yes sir!"
Tumblr media
They returned home a few weeks later and David felt newly invigorated. "You seem different tonight. Is everything okay?"
"I'm fine. Let's not think about anything else. It's just you and me, Okay?"
"Okay" The rest of the night was lost to the passion of their love.
Tumblr media
The next morning David woke to find Elena already awake, "Good morning, beautiful." She didn't respond, "Was I not good last night?" She shook her head but didn't look at him. "Then what is it?"
"I'm so scared David. Everytime we do this I'm so scared it's the last time."
Tumblr media
"Elena, do you trust me?"
She finally looked at him and he could see in her eyes that she didn't, even as she whispered "yes"
"I'm gonna make everything right. It might not happen right away but please trust me. I'm not going anywhere!"
Now if he could only prove it.

So, let's go through my list each month, and pick out favorite book(s) from each month! Maybe I won't have a favorite from some months...
Bold means it was a good I really enjoyed! I
I'm going to hide the list under a keep reading line because otherwise this post might be too long for some people!

Picking an actual favorite from these is too hard. I read so many great books this year, and obviously some months I read better than others. Actually, I would probably bold more than I have, but I felt bad about bolding more than like 2 per month, though I did do that in like September.
There were only really like 5 or 6 that I didn't really like, but pushed my way through.
I'm quietly aiming for 100 books next year, but I'm not gonna force myself for that, because whenever I aim for goals like that, it just takes the fun out of reading, so I'm going to set my goal at like 5 books and anything more than that is going to be a win for me!

World War We analysis very professional
Link to book: daggerblacker.gumroad.com/l/nqzgnk
What's up Tumblr it's your they/he, I was thinking to myself. Why don't I explain my own work in the way I like to see work I like explained and picked apart in that way that I should've known meant I had autiHD since I'll never see the commercial success that "traditionally published" writers do because traditional publishing as we know it is literally in the toilet swirling down the drain and no one will achieve such status again.
So here I am and feeling optimistic and only slightly tipsy. (Optimistic about this project and my writing not the world it's really all fucked)
I thought I'd break down some key inspirations for World War We. It's my favorite project (THAT I HAVE COMPLETED, working on something now that blows it out of the water but it's a hard beast to finish.)
I was really proud when the manuscript came out so close to that precious 90k word-count goal for debut Sci-Fi manuscripts. As if it was meant to written, and the story didn't need any padding or fluff whatsoever to fill out that expected length I was really pleased.
It's really obvious in my read-through that my main inspirations were:
HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON - mostly stylistically but yeah, the bond between Fence and Stroy is undoubtedly analagous to Toothless and Hiccup, but way more blood-ridden of course.
A Boy and His Dog - Most obvious, that story sucks and only the skeletal plot is worth ripping off which I did happily. The movie made an impression on my when I was really young and I'm glad to have turned that into something way better than the original story and movie.
Octavia Butler's Lillith's Brood trilogy (Xenogenesis series) - Not as obvious, but way more directly inspired by this than anything. I really respect Butler but loathe her messages, such that humans must go gentley into the good night of "evolution" (i.e. our biology being hi-jacked by more advanced people attempted to interbreed with us and change the word human as we know it) There's gray area that I explore in great depth, sure, but I'd be damned if her series doesn't come across as calling humans backwater morons and the Oankali the advanced detached superior model. The entirety of WWW is in response to many questions posed in just the first book of this series.
Abstract Inspirations: I was really into the concept of doing What If Genghis Khan was... type stories, like What If the Great Conqueror were a...(fill in the blank) I've completed like multiple manuscripts just based on that set-up so this one was just What If Genghis Khan rode a fire-wolf and was gay.
Stroy wields a labrys cuz I'm into axes and its badass
Honorable mention to Saphira from Eragon. I hate Eragon but I did read it in middle school and she was my favorite character I couldn't get enough of, the books really should've probably been from her perspective. Fence is heavily influenced by her, especially upon read-back. Paolini is a total hack though, if your gimmick is "wow published at 15! published at 18! published as toddler!" you're a pathetic hack and you should get rekt

Glad you're enjoying the story and picking up where we left off, I have some ideas for the direction of the story taking into account my personal vision and my own OC "Kiell" which I decided not to post anywhere. I'm sure Stella the moment she saw Blitzo she would attack you, but after many hours with you trying to keep Stella under control so as not to destroy half of the palace in search of Blitzo. Later, after a brief fight with Stolas, Stella decides to go shopping with s / n and during the
Stella with her Owl demon S/O
Tumblr media
You stared at the Imp. The Imp staring right back.
You went to move, try and fix the situation. But before you could make a move, Stella barged past you, nearly toppling you to the ground.
'How fucking dare you!' Stella screached, chasing after the Imp.
Dusting yourself off, you watched as Stella chased the Imp around the clearing, screaming a variety of curses at the Imp.
The Imp, out of space to go, ran into the hedge maze Stella close behind.
You just watched, slowly following after, Already having a good idea what was about to happen.
Stella ran into the hedges, screaming at the Imp.
Running deeper into the maze, Stella's voice gradually got further away.
You stood at the entrance. And as you suspected, the Imp's little head popped out of the hedge, looking the way Stella ran before climbing out of the hedge.
He chuckled to himself, dusting off a few leafs before walking off.
Directly into you.
He looked up at you, an awkward little smile crossing his face. 'Please don't kill me.' He begged before you grabbed him by the horn.
Dragging him off, the Imp pleading for his life, his pleas getting progressively more desperate the further you dragged him.
You dragged him through the maze until you reached the large concrete wall that surrounded the palace grounds.
Tossing him against the wall, the Imp had balled himself up, covering his face.
But after a few moments of nothing happening he looked up, slowly lowering his arms.
'So your... not gonna kill me?' He asked. Clearly confused as to what was happening.
You couldn't help but laugh at his simple nature. 'Kill you?' You asked in mock disbelief 'My good man. After everything you've done for me, I should be shaking your hand!' You proclaimed.
I pulled him to his feet, you dusted off the Imps coat, 'Everything I have, is thanks to you. Something I am very grateful for.' You told him fondly.
Your right hand slid up his shoulder, gripping the side of his neck, 'Unfortunately you've seen me and my love in quite the compromising position. So, I'm gonna need some assurance you won't tell anyone.' I told him, an edge to my voice.
The Imps face morphed into a smirk 'Ah, yes, I got a good eyeful of you and her highness.' The Imp inspected his hands, 'I'd love to help you, really I would, but, uh, why should I?' He asked a coyly.
You let out a long chuckle before wrapping your hand around his throat. 'Don't think just because Im grateful to you, I won't kill you. The only reason I haven't just killed you, is because your still of use to me.'
Releasing his throat, I pulled back, dusting my coat. Before extending my hand. 'Now, I need your word you won't share this information with anyone.' You growled, extending your hand.
Your hand begining to give of the familiar glow of magic.
Blitz hesitated. 'Why should I?' He asked, clearly wanting something out of it.
As if on cue, the silence was broken by Stella's distant screams, a large fire ball firing into the air, showing just how close she was.
Looking back at the Imp I told him 'I could always give you to her, I'm sure she would-' before I could finish he pushed his hand into mine.
The deal was made instantly.
The Imp wavered for a second, before asking 'Wha-what happens now?'
Gripping his shoulder, you told him, 'Now? Now, you leave.'
With that said, you grabbed him by his coat and threw him into the air, clear over the wall.
'Hurry on back now!' You called out, a wrath twang to my voice.
'Wouldn't want Stolas missing his little boy-toy.' You growled as you walked away.
It wasn't hard to find Stella, the yelling had only gotten louder, now accompanied by fire... lots of fire.
When you found her, she was screaming at stolas, the field around her ablaze in purplish flames.
Now, you were quiet content to watch Stella give her "Husband" a verbal thrashing.
But when you saw there daughter, staring down from the second floor window. The poor girl looked in utter distress at her parents fighting.
You moved forward quickly, ignoring the pain as the flames licked your body.
Reaching her, you spun her around, looking her dead in the eyes. You stroked her cheek, telling her you were there for her.
Tears welled in her eyes, the flames around you slowly died down until you were just holding the sobbing woman in a field of Burt grass.
You held her close as she cried into your chest. Holding her close, you looked up, meeting Stolas' gaze as he looked at the two of you.
You couldn't help but Shooting dangers at the prince, he was the cause of this, and you wanted him to know it.
You carefully picked the woman up, carrying her away.
You entered the palace, you locked eyes with Stolas one last time before letting the ghost of a smile spreading across your mouth.
You carried her into the palace, backtracking all the way to her study.
It took some work, but you opened the door, carrying her in, placing her on the large lounge set against the far wall.
Laying her down, you pulled out your handkerchief. Wiping away her tears you asked her gently 'Are you alright?'
Stella just shook her head, rubbing her arm across her eyes. 'No. No Im not' she said, her voice thick with emotion. 'There's no where. Theres nothing I can do, nothing without that Fucking Imp ruining it.'
She broke down into a new fit of tears, pulling you close she clung to you like the world would fall out beneath her.
She sobbed into your chest, crying for what seemed like hours. Releasing all the frustration she had seemed to pent up. You just held her close as she did.
It was as she finally calmed down, that there was a knock on the door. Getting up, you walked over before cautiously opening it.
It was her daughter. And she looked quite concerned.
'You must be Octavia' you told her gently, taking her hand with a small bow. Octavia spoke gently, asking you 'Is my mum alright?'
Not sure how to answer, you moved out of the way, allowing her to enter the room.
Seeing her daughter, Stella quickly wiped her face, cleaning herself up a little before saying to her 'Hello darling.'
Octavia said it back before taking a seat on the couch.
The two shared some gentle words with each other, Octavia seeming very concerned for her, but you could tell your presence was holding her back.
So you gently spoke up. 'I'll go have some tea brought up. Give you two a moment.' Stella gave you a thankful look, Octavia giving you a thoughtful glance before focusing on her mother.
You left the room silently, carefully closing the door behind you. Now in the hallway you went about looking for the help, making your way down the long hallway.
You may have despised Stolas as a man, but you had to admit, his home was quiet amazing.
You eventually found a Butler, from whom you politely asked if he could have some tea sent to Stella's study.
With your task complete you started the arduous task of retracing your steps back to the study.
Making it back, you were surprised to find Stolas outside her door. Walking closer, the demonic Prince turned to you.
'What are you doing with my wife?' He demanded.
Stepping closer you stopped before bringing a finger to your chin 'what ever could you mean, your highness?' You asked smugly.
'I'm not an idiot, so don't act like I am one.' he said a scowl in his voice. 'I know your after my wife and don't even try to play innocent.'
He said it all with such dignity, such honour. It took everything you had not to laugh.
Clearing your throat you took another step closer to him.
'I didn't have to lift a finger, Stolas.' You told him, arrogance creeping into your voice.
'You had everything one could want. Power. Influence. A family.' You took a moment to shake your head. 'You had the most beautiful, most intelligent, most amazing woman in hell.' You gave a long dramatic sigh. 'And you gave it all up, For what? An Imp?'
Walking forward, you placed a hand on his shoulder. 'I don't have to Act like your an idiot Stolas, you've more then proven it. And now, You've given up your claim to your marraige.' Looking him dead in the eyes and told him, 'Its my turn now.'
Before Stolas could respond the tell-tale sound of silverware clinking of a cart being pushed, drew your attention to its source.
Taking a step back, you addressed the maid pushing the cart 'Thank you so much, if only all imps were so brisk' You told her politely, opening the door.
The Imp pushed the cart between the two of you, into the room. I smirked at the Prince, the Imp walked out of the room, right between us.
'Thank you very much', you told the Imp, giving her a bow. The Imp giggled, giving her own little curtsy before scampering off.
You walked past him, entering the room. 'Now if you'll excuse me, I have to care for a dear friend after all the stress her "Husband" has put her through.' You told him, each word lathered in arrogance.
Before he could respond, you shut the door, perhaps a little to loud. But the satisfaction from slamming the door in that pompous gits face was well worth it.

The 100 6x06 analysis: A night-without-blood, only tears
Tumblr media
Loved this episode. We got a glimpse of the old Bellamy, albeit small, but he was there. The pacing was better. We finally got to meet Sheidheda. And, I called it in my predictions post last week, Clarke Griffin’s coming back.
Is it weird to watch this show knowing Bob and Eliza are married? Not for me, I separate the characters from the actors easily. Just once again, I’m thrilled they found their happily ever after. Please check out the wedding gift donation.
Madi crossing to the dark side
Tumblr media
Obviously, this is the worse to come out of the whole body-snatching ordeal. Josephine couldn’t care less about her new daughter. Although Gaia is Madi’s teacher, she’s still her subordinate. Without any guidance, sweet little Heda falls straight into the exploiting claws of her evil predecessor.
I didn’t think this would rise so soon, but I fear we might have a new Bloodreina on our hands. The Sanctumites killed Madi’s mother, she will retaliate with full force and who could blame her. If you took mine for self-serving reasons, I’ll want vengeance too.
Somehow, I still think those machines strapped to her head is Josephine’s handiwork, wanting something from the flame. Or maybe it’s a way to pull Madi back from the dark hole she’s fallen into.
Either way, it looks like she’s becoming a villainous character who wants revenge and I hope she succeeds. Russel may have goodness inside, yet he still murdered an innocent person to bring his daughter back. Ryker, on the other hand, is a quizzical one.
The 100 episode 6 - Return of the cockroach
We all knew he would take that deal but, as expected, terms and conditions apply. Clarke’s dead, there’s nothing they can do about it. Teaming up with Josie means they get the Sanctumites’ help with survival and he earns eternal life.
It makes sense for him, Clarke wasn’t his favorite person and what’s done is done. Obviously, he knows convincing Bellamy will be a lot harder.
Tumblr media
That was all of our reactions. And then he goes and spoils it all by saying some stupid like it’s what Monty would have wanted. Oomf the trump card. No violence, no eye-for-an-eye, just look forward and do better. Oh, and it’s what Clarke would have wanted too.
Tumblr media
In some twisted way, he’s right. His way saves everyone else including Bellamy and the planet or moon or whatever. Both Murphy and Josephine’s manipulation this episode is vulgar yet brilliant. Richard and Eliza, you killed it.
Meanwhile, in the woods, the badass trio is being summoned
May I just highlight this line: “Forty vestil virgins and a side dish of none of your damn business.” Man, I love Diyoza too bits. And Xavier. And Octavia. And I hope Marie gets that Emmy nomination because she deserves the hell out of it.
So, Diyoza learns about Gabriel’s rebellion but refuses to join in order to save her daughter’s life. She’s not your conventional mother hen but the way she looks out for Octavia and her child is a clear depiction of her ability to care.
How did Xavier know Diyoza is expecting a girl???
There are tons of rumors that Xavier is Gabriel. I don’t think he is. Or rather, I hope he’s not. I want Gabriel to be an anomaly as much as he “lives” in one. Perhaps he can only exist inside it because of his age? But he’s calling them for a reason and I bet that reason is “death to primes” and Clarke’s resurrection.
Tumblr media
I’m still sticking to my time travel theory of Diyoza meeting Hope and Octavia facing off with Bloodreina. I’d love to see what Xavier’s battles might be. Also, I’m pretty sure these three’s journey is the conclusion to all of their problems and the Blakes’ reconciliation. The villains of earth become the heroes of Sanctum was foreshadowing, I'm certain.
Abby, wtf is wrong with you?
How on earth does she not see through the inconsistencies in her daughter’s behavior? Echo figures it out before she does for heaven's sake. And after everything they’ve done in the past, she decides it’s alright to resurrect the man she loves at the cost of someone else.
Will she resort back to drugs after this too? Clearly, she can’t deal with the thing’s she’s done. Turning Jake in. Becca’s lab. The dark year. And now she’s doing it again. All because her daughter tends to think it’s okay and doesn’t want to lose her. Open your damn eyes, Clarke would never ask you to do something that selfish.
Raven and Ryker
Can someone please shut Raven up. Her self-righteous attitude this season is sickening. She did bad things too. Asking Clarke to kill Lexa. Sacrificing Murphy so Finn could live. Refusing to give Abby medicine for radiation poisoning. Has she forgotten? But worst of all, she left the hard decisions up to Bellamy and Clarke and now she’s mad because they made them.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the piece of her mind she gave Ryker. But the condescending way in which it’s done is annoying. He clearly needs to hear it and she touched where it hurts. Is it wrong to like him and hope he survives? Out of all the primes, it seems like he and Gabriel are the only ones with a conscience. Russel’s is debatable.
They are not gods. What makes them so special? Knowledge? Intellect? Wisdom? And creating a realm of worship so people would sacrifice themselves for you is revolting and everything but divine or remarkable.
Yes, Echo gets a narrative!
The woman is smart, dangerous and loyal. So far, she’s been nothing but Bellamy’s girlfriend and subject, so I’m glad she finally got a storyline of her own. I’m sure the mercy kill of the guard was used purely to show her compassion, which her boyfriend questioned a few episodes ago. Many people still do not like her.
Tumblr media
Being an amazing spy, she extorts Jade for information and figures out that Clarke’s gone. Her natural inclination is to attack which Bellamy, to my surprise, shoots down. That look in her eye suggests she’s not done though. She’ll probably save Jade’s life in exchange for being a double agent. Which could be a great asset to our heroes.
Tasya Teles said that her favorite dynamic of the show is yet to come and that Echo is bisexual. I can see the two of them partnering up and that’s a team I both route for and ship. They’re equals, they have similar backgrounds, they’re caring in a complex way. Why not be those things for each other?
In the end, it all boils down to Bellamy and Clarke
Tumblr media
Bellamy’s tears, tears, and more tears this episode was heartbreaking. Don’t hate me, it wasn’t as convincing as, “We can’t lose Clarke, we can’t lose her!” or “I left her to die and we all die anyway!” though. Why is his mourning stressed this way? Maybe because he lost someone he loves like Russel suggested.
Acting out of anger, he tried to choke Russel for killing her and I imagine the following stopped him: “You have such a big heart Bellamy... but to make sure we survive, you have to use this too.” Especially because he later states that we survive, it’s what Clarke would have wanted.
Tears welled in my eyes when he told Madi. And that hug gave me painful father-daughter feels. At least he’ll try to keep his promise to Clarke and take care of her. Bellamy, you better, that girl is taking a wrong turn. Even if I agree with her cause, following a venomous lead will land her in scorching hot water.
I really would have loved to see Miller, Jackson and Jordan's grief too. And it looked like Spacekru didn't care much after she saved their lives countless times. That scene was underwhelming, truly.
Now, as I predicted, Clarke appears in Josephine’s dreams when she finally sleeps. Which images haunt her? Roan, Abby, Madi, Lexa, Bellamy. I saw tweets of other’s but those were clear to me. Accompanied by Abby, Bellamy and her own words to Lexa. The most important people in her life, right?
Tumblr media
I knew this would happen, something obviously went wrong with the insertion or Clarke is just a fighter. I don’t think it has anything to do with synthetic nightblood. Josephine, honey, you’re in for the wildest and scariest rollercoaster ride of your life. Clarke Griffin is a force to be reckoned with and she won’t stop until her prison break is successful.
I cannot imagine the experience of living in your own mind to be pleasant. Especially not while fighting Josephine Lightbourne for power. Poor, poor, Clarke.
Bellamy was the first to notice Josephine isn’t Clarke and I’m sure he’s gonna realize that she still exists too. The devil will let something slip or act weird and he’ll pick up on it. Either that or Jade informs Echo. Once he solves that puzzle, he will stop at nothing until she returns to him. But Bellamy, please keep your eye on Madi throughout, do not follow in Abby’s footsteps.
Will Clarke’s dreams hold a confession of feelings? Will Bellamy confess to Josephine? Will there be any sort of confession?
Last week someone called my Becho theories typical. Fine, I may be biased but I only write what I see on my screen and if you disagree, I’d love to know why.

Hello!!! Hope you're feeling great! I was wondering if you hated echo or not? Because lots of people seem to hate her and i've seen you reblog (kind of) good things about her (?) Anyway I'm just curious because I see that everybody's hating on her and I feel like the only one who's given her the benefit of the doubt. What do you think? (if it's not too much to ask, of course) :)
I definitely don’t hate Echo, I like her! Always did actually, especially as she got more prominent in season 4, because I absolutely have A THING for ruthless female antagonists (as she largely was then) with glimmers of vulnerability and humanity. She’s been an intriguing and sympathetic character from day one IMO.
For a long time it was hard to figure out where the show was going with her – I’m still not 100% sure honestly – and whether she was a character we were ‘supposed’ to like or love-to-hate. (Another thing about me? I love a lot of “love-to-hate” female characters ON SPITE as well, so that wouldn’t have really made a difference.) But for me, the episode where she stabbed Octavia was a turning point, and not in the way a lot of people who hate her think it was… I LOVED her reaction in that moment, ridiculous panda makeup and all. How clearly it was not her plan (she really wanted to take her prisoner and not have to kill her) and how much she instantly regretted it. The following episode too is a really big one for her and Bellamy, where she actually listens to him and takes onboard what he’s saying and refrains from killing Riley (of all people! do you know HOW EASILY i would’ve killed Riley lol). We’ve seen cracks in her stoic armor for a while and that’s something I enjoy in a character.
Idk, I guess what I’m saying is we already *saw* Echo was undergoing a change, questioning the merciless soldier she’d always been, and that only got more extreme by the end of the season when she was left without a king or people to serve anymore. Finding herself rejected and banished, even though in her eyes everything she’d done had been for them and therefore justified. And then she becomes this sad little fish-out-of-water on the rocket. I was not just ready to root for her this season, I was ALREADY rooting for her. :p
And yeah, at least a small part of that is on spite now, because the hate she’s getting is SO excessive that it makes me extra-defensive where I otherwise might’ve been like “whatever, I’m ambivalent about her.” I’d be stunned if they weren’t setting up Bellamy/Echo as a Doomed Ship and I’m not sure they’re even *trying* really to get the audience onboard with it, but at the same time it was pretty obvious that’s been building for a while and it makes absolute sense to me that those characters would find solace & forgiveness in each other once they were no longer living at war.
I’ve got TV trust issues and am allergic to even implied love triangles, so my main concern has ALWAYS been that the show is actually kind of poking the fanbase and setting Echo up to be vilified/hated. Which would be incredibly gross and if it led to something like her being killed by one of the heroes (ESPECIALLY Bellamy himself) I would be beyond furious.
My concern about that hasn’t dropped to zero, but I do like what we’ve seen so far. Particularly in the last ep, the sincerity and compassion from her both in not wanting Bellamy, Monty, and Harper to die for her and not wanting to betray the innocent redshirts – while at the same time pulling that YIKES move of using that girl’s bullet wound to hide the flash drive and looking so proud of herself. She hasn’t become a totally different person but instead is using the same resourcefulness and loyalty she always had and I FOR ONE DIG IT. (Also bird noises! God I want more Murphy & Echo.) Basically I am really psyched to see where this Eligius spy storyline goes and get some more scenes of her with Raven and the others from spacekru, my favorite kru that has ever existed.
Thanks for the ask!
P.S. To the other anon - I reeeeally don’t wanna get into the whole ship war thing, but HELL YES panicky Bellamy tripping over his “I can come get you in the rover” words and Echo making reference to the MW cages made me weak. I’m glad we got some onscreen intimacy between them. This was a good week for all my unpopular ships (even Niylarke even if she’s a Little Bit Insane now).

Do you watch the 100? If so, I hated Pike. They tried to give him some sort of redeeming character arc/backstory, but I wasn't buying it. They expect us to believe he murdered an entire Trikru host and didn't come to his sense of right vs. wrong ONCE?? Fr, I'm glad he's dead. #vengeanceforlincoln... Of course, if you don't watch the 100, everything I just wrote is an unidentifiable mess for you,,, sorry about that...
Haha thank you Anonny I do watch The 100, so this makes perfect sense! I have complicated thoughts/feelings on Pike tbh…
1) I agree that the Trikru army massacre was pretty fucking appalling imo. I will just never be able to see past the fact that Skaikru killed an entire army who was there to help while they were sleeping. I think it was probably the sleeping part that bothered me the most, and the fact that they knew the Trikru army was supposed to be there to help them. Idk, it will never sit right with me, it always makes me incredibly uncomfortable no mater how I try to think about it. I know that some people may consider that too much of a black and white position of ~moral absolutism~ that ignores the intricacies of the situation or something like that. But that’s just where I’m at in my life, as far as massacres go… I am just never going to be a fan.
2) That being said… I think what the show wanted to do/tried to do/could have done with Pike vs. what they actually did with Pike were two completely different things. I think Pike and his arc suffered from the same big flaws that at I think a lot of s3 did: it was rushed and therefore just really underdeveloped, and the writers expected us to make intuitive leaps with out giving us enough information at all.
First of all I think the audience was supposed to be waaayyy more upset about Mt. Weather being blown up than it generally was. (JRoth even made that STUPIDLY asinine comment about Mt. Weather being like Skaikru’s 9/11). But the thing is we didn’t KNOW anyone in Mt. Weather except Gina, and even then we had only known Gina for a really short time.
And I think Mt. Weather was supposed to just be yet another thing contributing to Pike and the rest of Farm Station’s feelings on the Grounders, but that backstory was also really rushed. We were given snippets of Farm Station’s interactions with the Grounders (only Azgeda as far as we know) through the story about Monty’s dad being killed trying to save some children from being taken/killed by Grounders themselves. But we just heard it second hand from Monty’s mom and Pike as a story. That would have been SO much more effective if we would have gotten to see it as a flashback or something like that. It was still really sad, but I don’t think that alone was enough for us to really understand the trauma that Farm Station had experienced at the hands of Ice Nation. Another thing that could have REALLY added to that could have been the slave story line from earlier this season. There were just so many elements that could have really emphasized the cruelty Farm Station had experienced from people that they generally just considered “Grounders.” And I also think that distinction of just Grounders vs. the specific clans was another issue that wasn’t fully explored…
We as an audience also understood that it was Azgeda acting alone, and none of the other clans, that blew up Mt. Weather. BUT, there was really no reason for the people from Farm Station to be able to make that distinction at that point. They hadn’t had any experience with the clan system/the 12 clans like The 100 or even Kane and Abby had. To Pike, to Farm Station, a grounder was a grounder was a grounder; they were ignorant to the differences between the clans and how they could operate both as a whole and as individual groups. And for them, Grounders were dangerous and not to be trusted. But instead of seeing it this way, the show more or less gave us Skaikru massacring an innocent army of Grounders that was there to help them in their sleep.
BUT, even with all this plot and background, at least in my opinion, it would explain PIke’s reaction to the Grounders, but would not excuse his actions toward them. Even if Pike didn’t trust the Grounders, there were people around him who did, people who had more experience with them who he could have listened to. And not only that, Pike knew that Lexa was going to send an army to protect them.
And also I agree, Lincoln’s death was yet another narrative element that I think solidified disliking Pike for me. But I also think that one of the (not so finely tuned imo) points of Pike’s character was to show how out of place the extreme crime and punishment system from the Ark was on Earth. There was no need for the Ark’s ruthlessness and unforgiving approach to the law. There was no need to execute everyone over 18 who committed crimes anymore. It was uncomfortable for us to watch while they were on the Ark and it became even more uncomfortable once Skaikru was on Earth.
I also think another thing that was going to cause a lot of people to dislike Pike from the outset was the conflict he caused among the delinquents. First and foremost for me was influenced he seemed to be having on Bellamy. It was like 3 seasons worth of character development for Bellamy went totally down the shitter and he reverted right back to his “us vs. them” mentality from season 1. This obviously led to a lot of conflict between him and 4 of the people closest to him- Octavia, Miller, Kane, and Clarke. Not only that but it caused a divide among many of the Delinquents with Miller, Octavia, and Harper on one side and Bellamy, Monty, and Monroe on the other. I think it was really hard for a lot of people (me included tbh) to watch characters who we had seen as a tight, unified group be ideologically and physically divided like that.
So yeah, I think Pike’s character could have been way more nuanced and understandable than what he ended up being. But, I’m still not entirely sure that it would make me like him more.
send me your most hated characters/celebrities and i’ll tell you if i hate them too or not

@headstrongblake said: what were you like as a child? / kass & nick
kassy looked up at nick, hands pausing on the christmas wreath she was making when he asked that question. they had been briefly speaking about holiday traditions and while she could understand the question she wasn't so sure how she wanted to answer it. with a kiss of her tongue making a tsk noise, she shrugged, continuing her craft. "what do you think i was like?" she asked with a quirked brow and small smirk as she glanced sideways at him. she plucked the pine needle branch he was holding for her from him as she tried to weave it the way trinity had shown her. "troublemaker or angel?" she bat her lashes at him before chuckling despite the distance that grew in her eyes.
"no, my sister was the angel, poor sierra is still trying to win over our parents affection." she shook her head, she had given up on that so long ago she sometimes felt like an orphan and it was something that her sister always argued against, what created the distance between them. there had only ever been one family that had made her feel like she supposed she should; loved, cherrished, noticed and enough. "did i tell you i moved here when i was around 7 or 8?" she doubted it, she didn't tell many about her life if she could help it. "i lived in new mexico when i was little and..." her nose scrunched and she took in a little breath. it was hard to talk about her childhood, not as if anything truly traumatic ever happened but it felt like a muscle she rarely stretched. however, nicklas had shared far more about his own life than she thought he ever wanted or needed to so, she continued.
"after we lost my little brother i mean, it was pretty much downhill from there with my parents, they let that grief destroy them." and in turn had completely neglected their other children. "they were in and out of the hospital a lot before he passed and well, during that time this lovely woman would babysit me." her eyes shined at the memory, exhaling a quiet sigh before adding the bows to the wreath. she didn't look at nick while she spoke, delicate fingers working the red bobbles into it as well. "her son went to preschool with me, we were practically best friends," a small, sad smile touched her lips before glancing at nick, "don't tell o," she teased before continuing with a shrug. "anyways, she babysat me and well, was probably the closest thing i've ever known to a real mom," she rolled her eyes at what she was even confessing.
"the whole family was.. was lovely," she admitted, "but her son was a terrible influence on me," kassy then added with a smirk and laugh. she had truly adored sebastian, had adored that time in her life even if it had been the saddest for her parents. his parents had always looked after her and she wondered what her life could have looked like now if she hadn't moved away. "but a few years later we moved here," she shrugged. "i wouldn't say i was the most rebellious kid. still did well in school, kept to my art, bit of a loner if you can believe it..." but she had been lonely. so terribly lonely in a way she wasn't sure she could ever explain, a feeling even to this day she still carried around. "you told me once that you were glad octavia found me, not sure where or who she would be..." she then pivoted before giving another small shrug. "i'm not quite sure where i'd be without her either. without all of you," she then added, glancing up with the slightest hint of vulnerability in her dark gaze.
