A/N: Ive been suffering from a sever case of Deidara brain rot recently so here is a drabble I quickly threw out becuase y e s. Hope yall enjoy and suffer with me. ;)

The second hand on the clock ticked away as you impatiently taped your nails on the table.

Late again.

This was far from a normal occurrence for your boyfriend Deidara to be late home, but this was the third time this week and it’s only Wednesday. By the time he usually comes home, you’re already fast asleep. Of course, you love him unconditionally and support his passion for art, but you’d also love to see and spend time with him occasionally.

Rising to your feet and grabbing your keys, you decide to go to the studio and get him. You’d drag him back if you had to. You were already in your sweatpants and loose T-shirt for bed but didn’t care.

When you arrived at the studio, no one was around except for the light in a lone studio which you knew was Deidara’s. Not surprising considering it was near 9pm.

You knocked on the door and said,

“Dei? I’m coming in.”

Inside the room, Deidara was in his usual spot, putting all his focus into the sculpture in front of him. It took a couple of seconds for him to look up and notice you.

“Y/N? Hm. I was just finishing up for the night.” He says.

The boy was covered in clay and glaze from head to toe. Your face fell into a frown, and you responded.

“Uhhuh, you always say that, then walk in at midnight.”

He gets up from his seat and wipes his hand on his towel. His hair was tied back in a messy bun, accompanied by some black glasses and his sweats. You always loved his slightly unkept look.

Deidara walks over to you, pushing up his glasses.

“Don’t be angry Y/N.” He says and pauses for a moment.

“How can I make it up to you?”

An intrusive and teasing thought ran across your mind, and you smiled slightly.

“Well~ since your always out so late, maybe I should make you pleasure me~?”

You looked up to your boyfriend, expecting to find a nervous blush across his face, but it was quite the opposite. Deidara was no prude or child by any means, but he was slightly shy, and an invitation such as this would usually have him an embarrassed mess, but he was looking down at you with lust filled eyes, grinning. I wrote one of these for Aot and I remembered how little I write for Kny so here's one for the Demon Slayer boys. This was written as if the person they're crushing on is two years older.

(The aggressive simp): Inosuke

☆ I mean come on who didn't see this one coming??

☆ Inosuke otherwise known as the aggressive mfer that can't spell crush let alone deal with one.

☆ After a while he hits the last stage of grief, (Acceptance) and he slowly but surely starts to just follow you around. He doesn't understand what's so special about you that you caught his attention and he honestly doesn't care at this point he thrives off your attention in any way shape or form.

☆ You smile at him he's screaming internally. You say hi to him and he's floating. He finally reached a place where he doesn't even care that he feels this way he wants to experience it as long as possible.

☆ At some point you acknowledge his feelings and explain how you feel. (Not that it makes any sense to him). And give him a quick peck on the cheek of his mask. Probably after a really tough battle where he saved you from danger.

☆ Mfer is blushing hard asf under that sweaty ass mask. That's your problem now..

☆ Zenitsu dead makes fun of him the whole way back but Inosuke's so lost in thought that Tanjiro genuinely contemplates taking him to a doctor.

☆ But it's actually pretty cute when it comes to you.

☆ He'll ask you when's the last time you've eaten at least fourteen times a day and if you have a habit of not eating he'll bring you food.

☆ Knows you're sad even if you're rooms away from him and will sit by your side and listen to you vent then give you advice.

☆ He likes sitting next to you no matter where it is because he loves listening to you talk about literally anything.

☆ Honestly Tanjiro's probably the least obvious except for the blushing and stuttering whenever you compliment him on his form or something.

☆ When he confesses it's straight up no beating around the bush just honest Tanjiro and you give him a small kiss on the lips as a way of accepting his feelings.

☆ Honestly after that he might not get sad again for a year.

☆ He follows you around like a lost puppy the second he realizes he's crushing on you. And you better have liked him first or just been a really patient person overall to like all the attention he gives you.

☆ Surprisingly during that time you get to see the less loud version of him. But what really tips the scales in his favor is when he saves you from getting hurt. During personal training or a mission doesn't matter.

☆ You end up telling him exactly how you feel and of course he accepts your feelings with loud, unbridled enthusiasm.

☆Actually faints into a little pile of goo when you kiss his forehead. Mfer laying on the ground with metaphorically hearts circling his head.

☆ You straight up got this boy sighing in contentment. If you don't end up staying with him while he lays there he'll be found by Tanjiro and Inosuke later. Good luck to Tanjiro having to listen to Zenitsu scream about his happiness.

☆ Giyu doesn't know he has a crush. He doesn't know he's simping he just knows he wants your attention. Hilarious antics begin:

☆ Well in a way. See Giyu's never met someone like you. Someone who actively goes out of their way to immediately make friends with him and then continue to do so even after he's shown them his version of affection.

☆ He understands nothing about you or his feelings but he knows he wants to keep you as close as possible at all times. He knows his heart flutters when you're near and his palms get sweatier (which he originally thought was just his breathing technique.)

☆ He sees you standing across the room and comes over to issue his normal greeting. Sees you training by yourself and just joins you in the same room.

☆ His only problem so far has probably been the fact that you're very popular so whenever he actually does have time to interact with you you're probably with someone else.

☆ One day you guys are on a mission together and you just tell him straight up that you have feelings for him and.. he doesn't say a word, stops where he's standing, his hands get all shaky and his entire face and neck go red as he tries to mumble out something.

☆ At some point he gets some sort of mutual confession out of him as you comb strands of hair back from his face with your fingers.

☆ You could give him a kiss but you just got Giyuu.exe to start working again so better save it for another day.

(The bubbly simp): Rengoku

☆ I just love the idea of Rengoku being all weirdly shy I think it's the cutest thing on earth so here we go!

☆ He's always grinning and talking energetically but when he's talking to you his voice goes down like 20 octaves and he's got the dopiest grin on his face. Out here looking like: ☺

☆ As if Zenitsu and Inosuke weren't obvious with their simping Rengoku's probably even worse.

☆ He legit turns his whole body to face you when you join a conversation between him and anyone else. Face all pink as he smiles brightly at you.

☆ He's got a little sigh going and everyone is thoroughly creeped out by all of it so they try to flee every time you and Rengoku make contact.

☆ He always finds ways to find you and he's just like:

• You: "Eating lunch.."

i think i’ve figured out a reason why anime culture exhausts me.

i’ve always tried my best to curate what I see on my dash both here and on twitter. it’s much easier on tumblr, I believe, for me to block things out because on tumblr... there are just such high numbers of shippers and self shippers that I don’t have to deal with what actually exhausts me.

ship wars are dumb, and are for the most part irksome and tiring, but I feel like ship wars to me is like a family fight. it’s you and a sister or a cousin fighting over whether you should get sushi or mexican food. of course they’re two different types of foods. there’s nothing really lining them together, but at the end of the day you move on and forget because thats family. ships wars are irritating because we don’t have a way, but at least we have the common ground of loving the same series.

what exhausts me, grinds my nerves into ash, and makes me irrationally angry is when people pit series against series. I don’t see it here on tumblr, namely because I simply do not scroll on here anymore. but I know the people I follow, I know what they like, and more important what they care about and only see what they post or reblog. to the self insert part of tumblr it doesn’t matter what series is better, or what series is their favorite, they just want to fuck whoever they find arbitrarily attractive — physically or characteristically. I can deal with that. I can deal with seeing shit from fandoms that I have no part of. I don’t care to read hq, i’m putting off watching jjk until the entire first season is finished because I just want to binge it (i am very far into the manga tho), i’ve read and finished chainsaw man and loved it, i thought kny was such a simple but fascinating story, hxh sort of bored me, aot is not a series that I particularly find written or scripted in a way where I thirst after characters. i’ve read and am reading dozens more small name manga because manga, big or small, are all riveting and rich even if they’re not common names & I think it’s great to discover new mangaka!

but on twitter where it’s really, really difficult for me to curate my likes still simply because as soon as things pass 10.0k likes, it seems to show up on your timeline, and I lose my mind. what the fuck is up with people pitting series against series. using things as illogical as numbers and series to broadcast as to why things are more better. I am constantly annoyed by bitches who scream bnha is far less superior than aot and jjk across my timeline as if I care what some ugly ass white boy from minnesota thinks & continue to say with their full chest that midoriya izuku is a whining crybaby as if he’s ever truly been that. why is liking a particular anime make you superior? it’s called having an opinion & just because I don’t agree with you when I say bnha is the best manga i’ve ever read doesn’t mean I should be getting attacked. I know bnha isn’t perfect, there are obvious gleaming issues in horikoshis writings — and they’re apparent in every other mangaka’s writing too.

perfection doesn’t exist or else there would be no problems in the world, no? so it just makes me see red when people who are no longer caught up with bnha and have chose to stop watching and reading it past season 1 episode 3 (chapters 1-3 in the manga) acting like another series is better because of shit that legit has no effect on the actual quality of the storytelling.

it is my opinion to say that bnha is the best manga. it is my opinion to say that horikoshi has the best art style in the entire shonen jump magazine. it is my opinion to say that hori has amazing static scenes but lacks in movement fluidity still. it is my opinion to say that hori has created some of the most human characters in his works with his most controversial characters (ie bakugou & endeavor). it is my opinion to say hori can definitely choose to develop his female characters better but is clearly more interested in his male ones and that’s just something i’ve now accepted. I am okay with other people agreeing and disagreeing with any of that because this is the type of shit where differing opinions is okay. but it grinds disgustingly on my nerves when people who are in no way, shape or form a fan of bnha shit on it because why are you even here? get out.

I didn’t allow myself to like anime and manga until a few years ago, but holy shit, if this is how yall acted when we were in middle school and high school, no wonder why people were bullied. some of y’all are fucking nasty for no damn reason. let people be fucking happy with whatever the fuck they enjoy and go fucking be obsessed with what you like and not what others like tf is wrong with you????

One nicely animated episode of kny got ppl gagging and talking about a new big 3 for the gazillionth time again. Weebs. Kny really isn’t all that good story wise for it to have it’s dick and balls down everyone’s throat as much as it does. I don’t think it’s fans want to admit that the story is pretty generic, especially if you’ve read the entire manga like I have, which was even worse because of the godawful pacing that the anime helps fix and exaggerate. But that’s typical UFO for you. They always go above and beyond. Still cringing at kny fans who were going ‘kny made ufo popular-‘ and ‘what is fate lol?’ Like dgjg. Fast food anime fans comparing something like a basic shounen with good animation to anything type moon just because the same studio just so happens to animate both. The animation is gorgeous because of Ufo and that’s pretty much all it has going for it. I know that the fans hate hearing this but man, ain’t it the truth. I’ll always adore Rengoku and Sanemi though. They deserved better 🥺. Crazy about them… it’s probably rude to say this but sometimes, whenever I come across a mediocre story with a few standout characters, it makes me wonder about just how much better the writing for them would’ve been if they were introduced in a more mentally stimulating and overall, better written series…? I’ve done with with Rengoku a few times gah. He’s literally one of the only interesting and fun things about the series, man. What a wasted character but he left his mark even though I didn’t care about him as a character in the manga. The story moves too fast for you to really care about the characters and what they’re about and you don’t really learn anything about them with the little screen time that they have. CSM’s pacing was super sonic fast but you still learned SO much with every chapter and the characters, even if killed off right away, are still somehow interesting lol? Fujimoto’s just a really great writer. He did all of this in 97 chapters. Crazy to me. But regardless, Rengoku’s such a sweet and easily lovable character. He’s so warm and kindhearted I can cry. Sanemi is your generic, hardass with an attitude and sad backstory but he’s super cute and kind shjh. I love how artist’s and gotouge would draw him facing to the side where his long eyelashes stick out so far like sgj. So cute. Squishy. I love him. Uh… As for Bleach, I saw someone state that Bleach should be replaced by aot… aot isn’t even a shounen. These people are so funny to me. In general, they keep misconstruing what the big 3 even was. OP, Naruto, and Bleach not only sold a lot but they shaped the culture of anime as a whole and were instrumental in popularizing it in the west. Bleach is easily the most roastable out of the 3 and the other two easily stumps it but Bleach did it’s thing lol. I don’t even know why I’m acknowledging this stuff since the ‘new big 3’ crap creeps up every few years whenever some anime with nice animation pops up. The impact is just not there for most of the newer stuff if I’m being honest. I’m not talking about sales and pretty animation either. Just pure story and the adoration from simply going on a journey with the characters and so on.

1. What themes would you like to write about that you feel don’t get explored very often?

Generally speaking, I think the in-betweens, the casual time-skips, and the quick intermissions are the things that get glossed over the most. The “missing scenes”, if you will--the hours after a squabble between a team, the morning before the battle, the months where a child sat idle, the dreams that turned into prophecy. 

I also think the theme of re-connection is not often explored--its always “love on first sight” kind of deal, but what about the enduring kind of love, the kind that stays like an ache in your bones? the one you remember and miss? the one you long for like a phantom limb?

2. What are some common elements of stories you are tired of seeing? What would you avoid writing about? 

This varies wildly between fandoms, but probably the thing they all have in common is: mindless smut. Just straight up down and dirty fucking, with no motive or prompting or characterization. Just the author smashing two guys (usually) at the hips and being done with it. 

That’s fine; we all love to see it. It’s just so dull sometimes. 

I need some intricacy, some intimacy, some ache, some angst, some destructive lines and some ruthless gut-punches, you know? Not a guy coming for the fifth time. 

For the AFTG fandom: I’m tired of seeing people being fine with the way Sakavic treated her characters and coddling Neil & Andrew in the face of it. I don’t hate Andreil, I feel like I should say, but so much of it relies on one or the other sticking people with their knives or fists and that’s such a toxic love, a misconception of what a “good” relationship should be. Now, there are some brilliant fics I’ve read that are just gorgeous with the concept of Andreil--that was what I wished Sakavic had the ability to achieve in her series, while giving dignity to Kevin Day and the rest of the characters that were there and LIVED despite the romance. 

So, obviously, I would avoid doing any of the above I just mentioned, and pray that you will too. Just let these ppl breathe, alright?

For the AoT fandom (yeah i dabbled cuz the manga is just. depressing man): same issue---too much fucking, not enough talking and emoting. Why are there so many goddamned high school AUs? My god. I need a fic that gets down and dirty with the shit going down in the manga and take me through it so I can stand to continue. What about the grief and mourning and the betrayal of it all? Can I get me some of that? Lord, don’t go near the Levi/Eren tag. Y’all just don’t even knock it. Go to Levi/Erwin or something. Or just don’t. Don’t.

For the BNHA fandom (lol. a staple): actually, there’s quite a bit of diversity here so I geniunely can’t complain about much. The sheer magnitude of the English-speaking fandom helps on that end, I suppose. I do think there should be more fics looking at the Shit n Grit of Hero’s society tho, Stain-style. The people the heroes couldn’t save or didn’t want to, the forgotten bodies and the cooling hands, the victims that never got closure, the heroes who got maimed and multilated and couldn’t get back on their feet once the limelight left em. Those sorts of things. I think the fact we see thru the rosy-eyed worldviews of a bunch of green-eared kids deludes people to the fact that People Are Fucking Bad and Disgusting almost all the time. So exploring that, I think, is far more worthwhile. 

But I will also take injury aftermath. I’m not a monster.

For the KNY fandom: EYYY we talk about grief and suffering a lot which if you haven’t noticed, is kind of my Jam! Actually, this fandom prob hits a lot of my sweet spots: role reversals, grief/mourning aftermath, SabiGiyuu, Sabito Lives, the usual! Can’t really say much abt this. Except, there’s a lot of Demon Sex and Rape and, uh. Guys? Can we go back for a hot sec?

For the Code Geass fandom (*rubs hands in glee*): SO this is the fandom I’m most active in aside from AFTG at this precise moment. It’s pretty dead, tbh. My favorite two fics in the AO3 archive was published in 2014 and the author hasn’t written for my fav pairing (Suzaku/Lelouch) since. So. There’s that. There’s also a lot of fucking here! And gross cishet dynamics, but, uh, whatever. I think the Emperor Lelouch/Knight of Zero Suzaku has been overused and abused for rough sex and just general Angst-ing it out. I wanna see how their dynamic plays out like that for sure, but what about when they still had secrets between them a mile wide and had to tell each other half-lies and half-truths? How about them coping with the fact of their betrayals and the death of their loved ones at the hands of each other? Where’s the hardcore shit? 

Think this fandom doesn’t want to dig their fingers in too deep. Shame. 

Another thing: CC is not an immortal seductress. My god give her pizza and some fucking DEPTH. She’s a walking encyclopedia, not some mysterious slut machine! Get your stereotypes and fetishes outta here!

Final thing: TALK ABOUT THE SHIT SUZAKU HAS BEEN THROUGH! He’s not just Lelouch’s boytoy or knight! Stop that! Examine his abuse, his time with the military, his span as a pawn! Look at his motivations and his internalized disgust for himself as a Japanese that was ingrained in him by an oppressive fucking system! Why does he bow? Why is he silent? Speak for him!

Suzaku watched him watch the discoloring, and Suzaku watched the stillness change into the bare bones of animosity. It was almost kind, the way Lelouch turned his face away and shifted his grip to snatch up the antiseptic.

Neither of them spoke as sharp hands dabbed at the slightly split skin and wet bruising. It stung, but only a little. Long minutes passed like this, Lelouch exchanging swabs for cloths, Suzaku sitting still and watching him work.

Neither of them mentioned the scatter of old deadened skin, puckered across Suzaku’s build like a migration of mutilated fish.

8. Favorite dialogue in your wip? (If asked more than once, respond with a new piece each time)

"You know I can't be seen with you two."

"And I just warned you to not be a coward." Lelouch's eyes gleamed. Again, the challenge was there, and like a fool only Lellouch could make of him, Suzaku took it, open-mouthed and open-palmed.

"Fine," Suzaku said, not knowing what he'd promised himself to: a dinner or a duel. Even though the last time Lelouch picked up a sword it was wooden and he was tiny and cute and clumsy. But Lelouch didn’t need blades to cut. "I'll be there. Does Nunnally still enjoy a good scone?"

"Bring the blueberry ones," Lelouch said, extending the comment like a plank between them, and leapt off the wall, into the white sun. "One for the bastardly son and one for the disowned daughter."

Suzaku followed him out into the blaze of heat, feeling the crude perch of his laughter at the base of his throat. He was so fucking dramatic. "Which one of us do you mean?"

9. What scene was the hardest to write for you and why?

From the same wip fic from above--I’m stuck on the “light” kind-of crackish scene where Suzaku is literally just exasperated with Rivalz and his porn mags. Like I just can’t write it. It’s too.....friendly. And “nice”.

10. What scene was the most fun to write for you and why?

Out of the same fic as above: probably the scene from #8. It was fun to see how coy and rough-mouthed Suzaku could get once he’s together with Lelouch. Just to see them fool around with each other whilst keeping secrets but also somehow be honest was very satisfying and interesting to write out. They are just boys, there. Just boys. In love.
