GUESS WHAT?

Yesterday,I finished RWRB!!! How can I even start to describe my love for this book? Hmmm I don’t think that I can put it in words but I’ll say whatI loved about it and by that,well,It’s pretty much everything. All the characters(except Philip the homophobic bitch,Richards the coward and um the Queen) were just so amazing and it was refreshing(yeah refreshing,don’t criticize me for choosing this word) to read about them and I learned so much from each one and there’s no doubt that they inspired in many ways.Tho I love all of them immensely,Henry and Alex hold a special place in my heart.The way Henry and Alex grew up through the book and let themselves to truly be the people they are at the end even after all the consequences they were ready to live with left me happy and hopeful.But I think that Alex and Henry couldn’t have been themselves one day in front of the whole world if they did not choosed to know each other and fall in love through this journey.Its beautiful to see how Alex who never expected to bond with Henry,was so grateful that he had the chance to do so.And there’s Henry who for so long,he had to pretend that he was someone else and live a life that was painfully untrue and unfair to his own feelings but he still managed to be the kindest and generous person that he could be and that,made my heart break but proud.I love them and lemme tell u,they are one of the most power couple and even THE power couple that u could possibly hope for. I love this two and If I want to find comfort,I’ll always look up to re-read some scenes with them(😏😎💕).What else?Ohh it was gracefully written and the way the characters expressed themselves was really relatable and I could see myself in them.There’s the plot who was entertaining and I just adored the aesthetic of this book(I mean the places that we saw etc).The whole story captivated me.RWRB is without a doubt one of my favourite books that I’ll eternally recommend(maybe not to my parents hehe cuz of the um spicy scenes👉🏼👈🏼,u know?).That’s pretty much that,I could talk about RWRB more but I know it will end up be a novel just about how much I LOVED IT. I can’t wait to read One last stop by the same author who made me feel countless of emotions in just one book.

P-S: Expect to see me posting(poems and the wonderful Chia already helped me giving me some ideas,aesthetics,drawings etc and maybe even a fic? Or a few?I’ll see). Alsooo,I’ll start SOA so lemme tell u if someone doesn’t mind to share my thoughts about this one and wish me luck for all the pain that I’ll be going through this one too).Why do I like pain so much?

ok let’s do this right i’m gonna try with a coherent answer—

hii bestie!! i’m fine and honestly now i’m even better because this ask just made my day and i read it twice because how could i not?? it’s literally exactly all i thought when i finished the book and i still think about all this 24/7, even after a month. this book is literally everything and it just stays in your veins.

and, honestly, you chose the perfect word. refreshing it’s exactly what this book is. except for those three horrible unnameable characters, all the characters were really refreshing and the relationships between them were so good and healthy that it was really refreshing. i loved alex and henry’s relationship, how it was developed and how it was built, it was so wholesome and it was definitely refreshing (yes now i clearly can’t stop using this word) to see so much communication and all this getting to really know each other inside out. and i totally agree, without knowing each other so well their story wouldn’t have been the same, they wouldn’t be so aware and so sure about going public and taking all the risks and consequences of that.

and their growth, both as individuals and as a couple, is amazing. the way alex is grateful to have met henry and how he learns to know himself better thanks to henry and how he learns to steady himself and slow down and the way henry learns to accept himself and learns that he deserves happiness, all of that without ever losing his kindness and his ability to love beyond measure even after years of being forced in the dark, always makes me emotional. they truly have some of the best character development i’ve ever seen, and it’s subtle and not rushed, and at the same time it’s so visible and tangible.

they’re definitely THE power couple and also THE comfort couple. seriously half of their scenes are the softest thing ever and they’re perfect for every mood. like, want to feel happy and laugh? reread the great turkey calamity or the karaoke scene. want to feel that sort of calm and soothing happiness? reread the scene at the beekman or alex’s speech at the end. want to get some serotonin? reread all their phone calls, email and texts. there are literally so many scenes i reread almost on a daily basis.

and i totally agree, the book was amazingly written, i loved the sceneries and even tho all these characters are probably the least relatable characters ever —considering one is a prince, one is the son of a president and the others are also involved in these spaces — they all end up being incredibly relatable, so much more than a lot of other characters i’ve read about. june and nora are also characters i loved so much because they were so relatable and so real.

rwrb is definitely one of my favorite books ever too and i can’t wait to read one last stop, from what i’ve heard so far it’s just as amazing!!

and i assure you bestie, you didn’t annoy anyone!! i loved reading all your thoughts and this last ask gave me life so pls do share your thoughts with the song of achilles too!! you’re gonna have to suffer and cry a lot there but it’s worth it, it’s really an amazing book. i’ll be here for moral support love 🧁🧁♥️♥️

Also breakthrough. It’s an exploration of the aftermath of trauma when you’re in a new environment and kind of realising and accepting that the shit you’ve been through is fucked up and not everything is like that and learning to love yourself. A lot of things the main character thinks and feels are thoughts and feelings I’ve had, so I’m kinda processing my shit via Mari. Posting this feels like opening up my own ribcage and going “look at all my heart pls don’t hurt it”, then being afraid it’ll get hurt yet still leaving it unprotected bc I want to share it with others. That’s also why it’s hard to write sometimes lmao. Wow that was long sorry.

How do you choose your titles:

If one doesn’t just come to me, I use song lyrics. Even breakthrough comes from the song Breakthrough by Jake Edwards.

Do you outline?

I DON’T UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO DON’T!!!! If I don’t outline, I write 1000 words of Oscar and Mari making paella and kissing and don’t get to anything I wanted to address the chapter.

About Me

0. I’m old af, but for real I’m 29 for all that want to verify I’m adult.

1. I like several fandoms, marvel, dc, harry potter, SOA, star wars, once upon a time, my hero academia, etc.

2. Lately I’ve only been watching anime. Those 2D villains can ruin my life. <3 ;)

3. I write when I have inspiration, or just very emotional.

3.5 Literally, one sentence or lyric can inspire a whole little story in my head.

4. Any smut I write is lacking, and plain terrible. I’ll allude or suggest something dirty versus writing some spicy stuff.

5. I don’t write anything in order, like ever. That’s why it takes me a long time to follow up on things, so many ideas and no patience to connect the dots.

6. About 99% of things I write will be angsty, just cause of how I think. I will devour fluff like no tomorrow, but if I even try to write it, it seems cringey and unrealistic.

7. I write whatever I want, and I have a hard time writing requests, which is why I don’t ask for them. I feel like nothing I write is good enough and pressure will spike my anxiety. But sometimes people’s comments do encourage me to write more.

8. My grammar is terrible. Lol I even write letters for a living and I’m still very bad. True story, my best friend beta’d everything I wrote in college because it was sooooo bad. I love her. @nightingaelic

OKAY SO.... I’ve been reading @rampagewriting amazing fic Don’t Fear The Reaper, ( x click it, you won’t regret it ) and it inspired me to write this.. It’s just kinda... My own thoughts as to what might be going through Alex and Chibs’ minds at some point during the story. I asked @rampagewriting if it was alright if I wrote this, I just really hope that everyone likes it... Even though it came out a little bit angsty (there’s kinda tentative flirting her too, sorry I couldn’t give you Chibs lap like you did for Opie! I wanted this to fit Alex as closely as it could to the way you see her.) Anyway... So this is me, attempting to write a thing for Sons of Anarchy. And this isn’t the last you’re going to see of SOA on my blog, either.

“It doesn’t feel like Christmas.” Alex took a sip of the hot chocolate she’d just gotten, wincing a little at the burn as she sat down between Opie and Jax.

“This is California. I mean if you’re expectin snow, then you’re shit outta luck.” Opie laughed as he watched his kids playing, trying to engate Layla in a game of tag. Nodding towards her, Alex mused aloud, “Guess we all know who you’ll be kissing under the mistletoe, Winston.”

“Possibly.” Opie shrugged and eyed Alex. Jax cleared his throat and spoke up. “ You almost sound jealous there, kid.”

“For the last time, Jax.. It is Alex. Or Alexandra. Or X. I’m not a kid anymore.” Alex took a few more sips before she added quickly, “And for the record, no. I’m not jealous. What the hell are you implying, Jax?”

“Oh, just that I’m not blind.” Jax smirked and chuckled as he shook his head when Chibs made his way into the garage and naturally, Alex’s eyes darted straight for the man. Oh, he wasn’t crazy about it, but Chibs wasn’t the worst guy out there.

… no one ever wants family to willingly marry into this shit though… look what happened to Donna earlier this year… Jax ignored the thought in favor of clearing his throat and nodding to Opie over Alex’s shoulder. “We gotta roll. Go see a man about a thing.”

“Yeah, you two do that. No explosions though!” Alex called out to her brothers and she went back to sipping her hot chocolate, eyes darting over the newspaper. She didn’t have to look up from the newspaper to know she’d find Chibs sitting next to her. She could just sort of sense him lurking there, feel the weight of his stare.

“What’s up?” Alex couldn’t bring herself to look over at the Scottish biker. Not when what she’d done not too long ago still burned in her mind every single time she did. Or she’d think about how it felt, sitting there in that dingy hospital room, holding his hand while he was out.

If he’d heard a single thing she said, oh man… That thought had her sighing and shaking her head at herself. What she needed to do was get a grip. People were starting to pick up on the tension between them entirely too easy now and Alex didn’t want Chibs to think she didn’t think of him as a friend any longer.

Chibs stared at the bottle in front of him and cleared his throat. He almost said something, but all he could do was stare.. And remind himself again for the millionth time why anything between them was not a good idea, no matter how bad he wanted that very thing.

But he had to say something. Try to explain himself. Try to tell her why he’d been scarce lately, why things felt so strained. He dragged a hand through his hair and nodded to the newspaper. “Dinnae think yah wanted t’ be bloody depressed. Dat’s what’ll come of y’ readin ‘at.”

… Fuck, that was about the lamest bloody thing y’ could’ve said, Filip… he even wanted to cringe at himself. Alex shrugged and looked up at him and the second he saw the hot chocolate over her lip, he gulped and tried to pull his eyes away.

This was so awkward and so much harder than it had to be already.

But he couldn’t. He reached out, tearing away a paper towel and leaned in closer to her, dabbing the stiff paper at her upper lip as he muttered, “Yah had a hot chocolate mustache, X.”

“Okay?” Alex eyed him, hoping to God he didn’t pick up on the way her breath hitched at the touch or the way that for a split second, even as his rough hand and the rough paper towel moved over her skin, she was thinking about that night and how good it was going before he ran out on it all and that yeah, maybe her eyes fluttered open and shut for a tenth of a second. She coughed to cover her own sudden tension and when he reached over, taking her cup, she followed the movement of cup to lip with her eyes, swallowing hard.

The fact that she’d declared her love for the man when he wasn’t conscious was taunting her, daring her to do something, to be brave this once but then she thought about him bolting and sighed, going quiet. Mostly in sheer frustration.

They barely managed to be around one another now without this extreme layer of tension lingering awkwardly. Yet neither of them really mentioned anything. And both pretended that nothing was wrong.

Everything was wrong. Everything.

Alex’s sigh had Chibs swallowing hard as he held the cup back out to her, nose wrinkled. “Et’s too damn sweet, X.”

“You seriously just took my hot cocoa to drink and now you’re complaining about it being too sweet?” Alex gave a soft laugh and Chibs shrugged, a smirk tugging his lips upward, making her stare at them a little harder.

She took the paper towel and leaned in, dabbing it over his mouth. “Someone wants to talk about my mustache. Yours was worse, Filip.”

“Was et now?” Chibs was leaning in a little more, heart hammering away like it was going to burst right out of his chest cavity. He licked his lips and chuckled. “I doubt it.” his tone was lower, huskier. When he raised his hand, Alex swallowed hard and for a second she thought maybe he’d kiss her.

“I miss th’ way it used to be.”

Alex nodded, pushing down everything she really wanted to let out at the moment. “Me too.” she kept it short and simple. Maybe it was for the best. Maybe it had to be this way. The last thing everyone needed was yet more tension in the club.

… but what about what I want and need, damn it?....

Chibs eyed her, a concerned look. Her tone had been flat, almost hollow. He sighed and shook his head, taking a sip from his own bottle as he grimaced at the mix of alcohol and cocoa in his mouth. “Do y’ really?”

Alex took a deep breath and coaxed herself into a more convincing voice when she answered. “I really do. I’m just kind of not feeling today.”

“Ah, neither am I.” Chibs admitted, staring at her lips for a few seconds. What he wouldn’t do to just kiss her right now. To throw caution out the window and just let go.

… but letting go may not be d’ best thing… there’s the club and there’s what happened t’ Donna and y’ know you’d die if it happened t’ X… Luckily for both of them, Tig called Chibs over before things could get any further tension filled. Chibs told her that he’d see her later at the club house and Alex nodded, trying not to stare at him as he walked away, but failing miserably. When he was deep in conversation with Tig, she sighed and put down the newspaper, standing.

Maybe if she got away from here, went to talk to Gemma or something.. She just knew from all that transpired just now that things couldn’t go back to the way they had been.. They could only blossom or die.

Personally, Alex wasn’t willing to risk finding out. Not when Chibs obviously didn’t return her feelings. His actions just now, while more than she expected, were a perfect wake up call.. She had to try and work around everything she felt or she had to continue avoiding him.

Tig eyed Alex leaving and he remarked with a shrug, “Seems like you two barely talk anymore.”

“Don’t bloody start wit’ me, Trager. Tell me what y’ wanted.”

“We have an errand.” Tig answered and Chibs nodded, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up. “Well then. Let’s get t’ it.”

He watched Alex leaving the garage and he sighed to himself. He couldn’t just keep everything he felt in much longer. Just now, he’d been dangerously close to caving.

Maybe avoiding her for now was the best thing for both of them.

Generally, I consider myself as a very modest person, but it was so difficult to narrow this down to five choices. I think it’s because of the time, effort and dedication that goes into making edits and the personal meaning they can hold, it’s like choosing your five favourite photographs from your life. I selected ones based on personal attachment instead of the ones I’m proud of because they’re pretty (not that there’s many of those haha). Anyways here they are in no particular order:

1. ‘Maybe love is like rain’ (Game of Thrones)

I love this little poem because I think it’s a lovely description of what love is and can be, and the metaphor of rain encapsulates it really well. The original place where I saw this poem used is still to this day one of my favourite edits and it was the inspiration for my edit. This is one of those edits that I actually took time to plan out. I carefully selected the characters/relationships I wanted to use for each line and tried to select scenes that I felt best reflected the lines associated with them. Because GOT has so many characters and relationships, it was a huge challenge to try and represent as many of the characters and relationships from the show as possible. It was also hard to be fair and to not let any of my shipper biases get in the way, but I was so pleased with the end result. Hopefully when people see that edit they can understand why I chose each scenes to go with the line they are with.

2. Prue Halliwell character profile (Charmed)

Prue Halliwell owns my heart, anyone and everyone that follows me or has ever looked on my blog for a second will know that. I planned out this gifset about a year ago and spent time over the months taking personality tests (as Prue ofc) and reading various trivia about Prue and personality types to create this gifset. Once I’d chosen the details I wanted to include, I picked out the key words I wanted to use and then the scenes that I felt best fit with each type. I agonised for so long over scene choice and for anybody else that sees it they might not necessarily see that, but each scene was carefully selected. So I guess you could say this gifset is double-y special for me because it’s dedicated to my favourite character but I also put my heart into planning and making this edit. And unlike a lot of the other gifsets I plan out, I was satisfied with the end result.

3. Gemma and Tara parallels (Sons of Anarchy)

You may see a pattern emerging here, but this is one of my favourite edits I’ve made because of the time and effort that went into planning it. On one of my many SOA rewatches during a scene in season 6 where Tara says “You’ve been my teacher, Gemma, my old lady coach” I was struck with inspiration to make this. I find it so ironic that Tara started out the series loathing Gemma and everything she stands for, yet as the seasons progressed, Tara began to morph into Gemma. The problem I had was actually finding direct scenes that paralleled one another to reflect these similarities they had. It took me a long while to fish out these scenes and I was really happy with the end result because I feel like it accomplished exactly what I wanted to achive by showing those similarities Gemma and Tara shared, and how Tara’s evolution in some ways mirrored Gemma’s, despite them being on different trajectories.

4. Game of Thrones autumn

Honestly, I’m just so damn proud of the colouring on this gifset. Not to toot my own horn, but I think it’s really pretty and considering I was still so new to colouring my own gifs I’m so impressed with the outcome. Looking back at it now, I’d probably make the colours a bit more consistent if I made it again, but in a way I think the fact that it’s different shades/tones of red, yellow and orange makes it look more authentic and autumn-y.

5. Daenerys Nikita Gill phoenix poem (Game of Thrones)

This edit has the most notes I’ve ever got on anything ever, but that’s not the reason it’s one of my favourites. I like this edit because, once again, I put a lot of thought and effort into planning and making it. The second I saw the poem Daenerys came to my mind and I knew I needed to make an edit, so I do what I always do when I’m struck by inspiration (I’d be curious to know if anyone else does this btw?) and wrote out the poem in the notes on my phone, then I split it up into different lines for each gif and started to brainstorm scenes that would fit with each line. For other editors, you’ll all know that sometimes when you make edits using poems, quotes or lyrics it can be impossible to find a scene that specifically fits with a certain line, so you just kinda have to pick any random one. But I feel like this is one of my edits where every single scene fits with the line and I love that with just 7 gifs I was able to tell a story and encapsulate Dany’s character and arc.

I may have gone a little over broad in my explanation. Thanks for the question, now sit back and experience the journey.

Ah yes. My origin story. I remember it like it was yesterday. Allow me to take you back, to before the beginning...

2018! For me it was the year of television (as ‘17 had been the year of the movie). I vividly remember searching for shows on IMDB to compile a sort of list in January. Some well-known, some old hat, but two in particular stuck out to me. Two my mother specifically enjoyed and had for many years. Sons of Anarchy and Shameless. I was finally at the age to where I could start enjoying these shows and so they were added to my list to be watched later. I remember reading the description of SOA and looking through pictures of tough guys on motorcycles. I knew I had to watch it!

Fast forward to May 15th. I was nearing the end of my high school/senior year. I believe I had taken all of my finals at this time and just had a few meaningless things left to turn in for one or two classes. I had just finished The Punisher (thank the godz) and was ready to start the next series. It was again between SOA and Shameless and I have never made a better or more damaging decision in my entire life than when I hit play on the pilot episode of SOA at 7 am as I was getting ready for school that Tuesday morning. Mind you, my school was a dead zone as far as internet goes, but the media godz were shinning down on me that week. I chased the signal every single day.

For the next 6 days, it was all I thought about, all I watched, all I wanted to talk about! I watched 92 episodes, roughly 70 hours of content in 6 days. Though my mother has seen it many times (as it is also her favorite series with her favorite actor(s) in it) I retold her the stories (nearly every episode, or several at a time) as I watched them. She was the first person to see me “live react” to a show in text or otherwise. She enjoyed it because she hasn’t had anyone to talk to about the show in what is now nearly 5 years and she liked hearing my takes on things.

I stopped talking to friends, I stopped eating (not really so extreme, but I mean...), and on the last 3 nights I hardly slept. I watched it absolutely everywhere! That Friday I skipped school. I reasoned I wasn’t doing work anyway and it wasn’t going to hold me back. If my memory serves me correctly, I watched the finale of S3 through S4 and maybe a little more on either side (but for certain these 14 episodes, technically my favorite in the series) in one straight sitting. In truth, nothing was going to be able to hold me back from this show. I was hard pressed to leave my room, much less my house which made work Saturday difficult. I told my coworkers I was watching it as I jumped up and down waiting to go home (business was slow you see) and I actually left early. I have a bad habit of watching things while driving (don’t do it kids! Listen to your mother!) and actually watched an episode on the way home.

I ended up pulling an all-nighter on Saturday trying to finish it as I had more plans Sunday. Well, it didn’t work. I fell asleep around 4 am with 4 or 5 episodes to go. I watched a few episodes to and from where I was going in the car, but on Sunday night May 20th, 2018, I watched the final two episodes of the series back to back and a weight had been lifted off my shoulders (it also left a hole in my heart, quite literally). I was no longer susceptible to spoilers and I knew the “secret”. What’s more, I completely, 100% agreed with the creator’s decision as to how and when he ended the show.

SOA was the first show that ever captivated my attention in such a way. I was never bored, not for a minute. I wouldn’t call many of the episodes fillers even now that I’ve watched each a couple of times (too many to count, for research purposes, I assure you.) And it is one of the most consistent as far as new ideas and character development/design I have ever seen. What's more is I absolutely adore the main cast and characters alike. It honestly took over my life and has changed it for the better. So much so, that it was still all I thought about for several weeks after I finished it. To the point where I had to watch it again top to bottom, though it took me about 2 weeks while sleeping that time. I’ve never watched a show like that, before or since, no matter how much I like a series.

Alas, life goes on, there were more shows to watch, and for the next month or so I turned to watching Shameless (another story entirely) and, though I didn’t want to, I stopped thinking about SOA for a time. That was, until I started thinking about moving to college. My mother had an SOA poster that use to be in her office that she gave to me to put in my apartment. I wake up every morning to see it hanging over my bed and I am reminded that I should be writing TROD. I went down to my college apartment about a week before term started. It was the first time I was technically on my own, though I have roommates, and you will never guess what I did during that week. Go ahead, guess. I did 2 things, actually.

I rewatched SOA, though this time I stopped on series 5 (and if you’ve seen it you may know why) and I “broke down” and created a Writeblr. I’ve always loved to write and actually was in the process of shelving what was originally meant to be my first novel length WIP (on the grounds that it did not have a plot to hold the characters together) that now hasn’t been updated in 6+ months. During this third rewatch an idea came to me. “What would it be like to be in this world?” More specifically, “What would it be like to be a woman in this world”?

This was apparently the right question to ask. The rest is history, swirling into a big black and crow feathered blur. I spent a few months creating Schuyler. I slowly stopped talking about the shelved WIP online and started answering questions for her instead. I figured if I was going to shelve 1 project I had better have another to replace it with, and so TROD was born! I nearly immediately had a character personality and a title when I started. The name Schuyler and her family lineage to link her to the canon story took more time. But while I was thinking of all the technical stuff I was also imagining all the fun scenes that would take place in this imaginary novel I was picturing.

I spent so much time thinking about it, specifically the first chapter which you have seen is now available to read on this blog, that the first time I sat down to write I wrote out 5,000 words flat. Many remained in what is currently “the final draft”. This had never happened to me before and I was inspired! I have been working on it ever since. As far as physically writing for it I have only been writing TROD for about 4 months. But in actuality, TROD has been a project a long time in the making. Nearly 9 months of thought and devotion to a Fandom nearly gone, but I’m here now to carry the torch!

9 months in and I have 6 moodboards, a chapter, and far too many tag games/posts to count. I have roughly 30k words written (continuously, obsessively tweaking the first 3 chapters) and another 2k or so of notes (outlines, dialogue lines, and ideas for scenes). This is actually the first story where I’m consulting a sort of outline (my own that I’m always adding to, but also the canon story) and it’s been my best writing experience to date!

This project is going to be long. Longer than anything I’ve ever dreamed of taking on before. I still have much to explore, plot kinks to work through, and many months, if not years, of work to go. But w/o SOA I would have never become so involved in media (as now I want to make it my career), met some of my favorite actors, created my Writeblr or been inspired to continue writing, and I certainly never would have entered into this inclusive community or met so many awesome writers!

2. Tell us a little about yourself.

My name is Jenna, I am 23 (24 in a couple of weeks!). I have 3 brothers.. It's been a struggle haha. I was born in London, my parents and I moved to New Zealand when I was 6 months old. And just two months ago I moved back to London with my boyfriend. I've written a few fics, and have just finished my first multi chapter Ever Since New York. I am currently unemployed, but looking for Pharmacy work as that's what I did at home and would like to continue.

3. What do you never leave home without?

My phone! And keys.

4. Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Night owl, 100000%. I suck at mornings.

5. If you could live in any fictional world which one would you choose and why?

Maaan, probably Middle Earth. Like I would kill to be an elf and shack up with Legolas. Or Thranduil, keep it in the family yunno. Or the Harry Potter universe because magic? Yes.

6. Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met.

I've 'met' a whole heap, like I've paid at cons and things to meet Aidan Turner, Dean O'Gorman, Andrew Scott, Karen Gillan. I went to the Age of Ultron prem when I was in London last time and got photos/signatures with Mark Ruffalo (ultimate fav), Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor Johnson. I got Robert Downey Jrs autograph but no photo. But just by chance without planning too I met Jenna Coleman. We were visiting my family in Wales and just so happened to drive past during filming. Didn't quite get to meet Peter Capaldi though. And then I was in London last time, me and my best friend walked into Jamie Campbell Bower in the street. The story Is actually so cool but I feel like this answer is long enough hahah.

7. What are some of your favorite movies/TV?

Movies: Eternal Sunshine, Only Lovers Left Alive, Big Daddy (my go to movie when I'm sad, I love Adam Sandler). I always struggle to answer this because after I think of one I should have mentioned! Shutter Island.

TV Shows: There are far too many but right now Riverdale, obviously. And I just smashed through Brooklyn 99. The OC, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, SOA, Friends, Being Human, the list goes on...

8. What are some of your favorite bands/musicians?

SO my first favourite and was Panic! At The Disco. Then My Chemical Romance took over my life. Now I'm into The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Bastille, Hozier, Tom Odell, James Bay, Ed Sheeran. Thanks to my Dad I love Alanis Morrissette and Radiohead. Thanks to my Mum I have a soft spot for Robbie Williams. My music taste is diverse so I listen to a lot of rap. I'll defend Kanye West to my dying breath, I really like Post Malone at the moment too. It chops and changes so so much. Also I've seen One Direction 4 times so judge as you will, ahaha.

9. Favorite Books?

Pretty generic, really. Harry Potter series, LOTR, The Mortal Instruments series and all that go with it. Fault In Our Stars, All The Bright Places, Lovely Bones.

10. Favorite Food?

I love Mexican food.

11. Biggest pet peeve?

Sidewalk Hoggers who walk SO SLOW.

12. What did you want to be when you were little? What do you want to be now?

I always wanted to sing or act, but seeing as I can do neither.. I always wanted to work in the entertainment industry and sometimes still do, like behind the scenes. Maybe in Media. But for now I love working in Pharmacy and want to train to become a Pharmacy Tech.

13. What are your biggest fears? Do you have any strange fears?

I don't have many fears, I have no issue with the dark or heights or anything like that. I HATE bugs, like any kind of insect or creepy crawly, just no. Sometimes even butterflies irk me.

And as far as strange fears, everyone always looks at me weird when I say this, I have a fear of whales.. Like I don't like the ocean or fish, sharks etc, but I can handle it. But whales? No. I get goosebumps and feel like my throat closes up when I look at them. I think it's to do with their sheer size and power. I don't even know why but I just, I can't.

14. When you are on your deathbed what would be the one you’d regret not doing?

Seeing the world.

Okay... lets talk about your writing!

15. Which is your favorite of the fics you've written for the Bughead fandom?

Probably Who She Was, How She Loved. It was only a one shot, and it hurt like hell to write, but it seemed to get a reaction from everyone who read it and that's what we write for, right? I don't even know where I pulled that fic from, but I really love it. It feels real.

16. Which was the hardest to write, in terms of plot?

Ever Since New York, just to keep it going. I didn't want to drag it out too much, but it needed a fair amount of content. So I struggled at the end there.

17. How do you come up with the ideas for you fic(s)? Do you people watch? Listen to music? Get inspired by TV/movies?

A lot of it definitely comes from music. Like, if the lyrics to a song resonate with me I always think of a story to go with it. Always, even if I have no intention of writing it. I also pull inspiration from certain movies and things, but it is definitely music at the forefront.

18. Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?

I really love the idea of room mate fics, I haven't actually tried though. Maybe I could do it.

19. Least favorite plot point/chapter/moment you’ve written?

I only posted the last chapter of ESNY the other day, and the response has been good, but I'm still not happy with it. I couldn't even read it over. I don't really know what my problem is, I guess I just felt it was very anti-climatic.

20. Favorite plot point/chapter/moment you’ve written?

In my fic And Then? There's a scene where Betty & Jug are in the ocean yelling, and I really loved that moment.

21.Favorite character to write?

Jughead. Always. He has layers...

22. Favorite line or lines of dialogue that you've written?

Dark. Brown. Not round, more sleek. The complete opposite of the girl who's face was flashing through Jughead’s mind at this very moment. Which he knew, of course he did. That's why he had picked her. With her dark head of hair, and her dark eyes, he would never have to be reminded of the one he was missing.

Except for the fact that he saw Betty Cooper in everything. And everyone.

23. Best comment/review you’ve ever received?

Every comment someone goes out of their way to write about something I've spent time on is amazing. I think it always makes me smile though when they say they can see it all happening as they read. And you know, making them cry when they say fanfic never makes them cry.

24. How do you handle bad reviews or comments?

I haven't been 'lucky' enough to have to deal with this, yet. But I think I would just ignore and delete the comment. Who needs that negativity.

25. If you could change anything in any of your stories, what would it be?

I think I would have included more characters in Ever Since New York, like Archie etc.

26. What is your favorite story you’ve ever written? Any fandom?

I've only ever written for the Bughead fandom, but my favourite is Who She Was purely for the emotions. I'm a sucker for emotions.

27. What are you reading right now? Both fan fiction and general fiction?

I have 51 bookmarks on AO3. So I am reading basically everything right now haha. But in terms of general fiction, I haven't read anything in a while and I need too.

28. Do you have an advice for writers that want to get into this fandom but might be scared?

As typical as it sounds, just do it. I was so nervous, but this fandom is hands down the best. Everyone is so, so welcoming, and if there are so many people to reach out too if you’re ever feeling unsure about your own work or anything. Just take the dive guys, it's a fun ride.

Just a little question:

If the first comment you make on a currently and regularly updated fic, comes after 70+ chapters and is basically a huge complaint on the whole story, along with a declaration that you’ll stop reading it, why not: 1.) Telling the author earlier on if you think the story is too slow/boring/strange/whatever? 2.) Giving some NICE comments while you still enjoyed the story instead of waiting until you didn’t like it and then drop one that tells the author how boring and strange and out of character it is? I mean, it’s not mandatory in any way, but it’s... kinda nice for the author to, you know, actually get some positive response, especially since it makes it far easier to know what YOU like about the story and wants to know more about. 3.) Just take your time to actually find out what the authors style is by giving other of his/her works a little glance over the tags and see what you can expect? Also, reading the actual tags on the story you’re complaining about might help too... 4.) Reconsider if it’s really necessairy to tell an anonymous fanfic writer who does this entirely for free on his/her sparetime, simply because he/she truly enjoys it and has a passion for it, even when he/she struggles with life and the inspiration can fade, that you’re tired of his/her story and unsubscribing because you didn’t like it. Sometimes it’s hard to write, even if it’s “just” fan fiction and although I will gladly admit that my first SoA story turned out to be more difficult to handle than I initially thought and isn’t as good as it could be, a comment pointing out flaws from someone who claimed to have enjoyed the story but never once wrote a comment before this major complaint, can be painful to read. I’m not a mind reader and neither is any other fanfic writer - or writer of original works. We fanfic writers do this for free and anonymity grants us the chance to share our works with others without fearing of being judged or ridiculed by people we know. These stories we write are out here for everyone with Internet access to read entirely for free, almost anywhere in the world at any given time. Please, if you think a story is turning in the wrong direction, do tell, but don’t let it be your first comment. I was so happy when I saw I’d gotten another comment - and a long one from a new reader! - on my story, and I admit I got really hurt when readin it, even though I answered politely, well aware that no story will suit everyone. You had some good points, you who made the comment declaring how boring, ooc and overall unappealing my story was, and I’m taking them to heart but I still got sad, because, you know, I’m only human and I do this for fun. All I want to say is, you can be critical without being mean.

I’ll answer your question about the Squadra fic first, just in case anyone who isn’t interested in the ask meme stuff is similarly wondering those sorts of things.

I absolutely do plan to write one-shots once SoA is complete! I have quite a bit of end game stuff mapped out, and to me the situation is going to be incredibly interesting and full of opportunity for small stories and character interactions. I don’t want to say too much about endgame right now, but I will definitely return to the SoA universe even after the main story is complete!

Onto the ask meme!

8 - What’s the best piece of feedback you’ve ever gotten?

I get great feedback from everybody and I love every bit of it. Every single comment helps to keep me inspired, so it’s hard to say which is the single best piece. Recent conversations I had with some people on chapter 9+10 were super great, but those would be hard to show, so here’s one of my fave comments. Spoilers for chapters 9+10.

I really love that I was able to write something that inspired this much excitement from someone. If I can elicit emotions and reactions like this, then I think I’ve done my job as a writer quite well!

10 - What’s your biggest writer pet-peeve?

Gosh probably that I’m only in the best mindset for writing from like 11pm-2am. That interval doesn’t always give me enough time to work, or I’m too tired by then. Writing during the day time can just be hard for me for some reason.

Sometimes I also get bugged by fics tag Risotto or Trish or the other squadra members for short cameo appearances. I mean tagging them is fine, but it gets on my nerves sometimes that the highest rated piece in any of these character’s tags often have very, very little to do with the characters themselves. It’s a minor thing really.

24 - What’s your favorite & least favorite part of plotting?

Ah, oh boy... My plotting habits are... Irresponsible. I usually say that I only make the ‘bones’ of my story and then fill in the rest as I go. I suppose my favorite part of plotting is thinking about the big scenes that are fun to write and tend to leave an impact, and my least favorite part is filling in the gaps that I have little planned for. I tend to just feel things out, bad as that is.

But thats also kind of why I spend so much time on each chapter - I do make sure that I work in proper amounts of set-up for later events, connect things to keep continuity, and balance each flavor - In this case flavor means things like drama, comedy, angst, action, etc.

32 - How do you feel about friends and close relatives reading your work?

My friends are definitely welcome to read my work! In fact, my friends are all super supportive of my writing. It’s really nice to know they care, even if they aren’t in the same fandoms or don’t read my work. I really appreciate that the people around me recognize my passion and nurture it, even if that just means letting me rant about some minor assassins.

Family is a bit different, just because they don’t necessarily understand what I’m writing about or even what fanfiction is. I guess I wouldn’t be totally against family members reading my stuff, but it could be a bit awkward.

Thank you so much for these asks, it’s always so much fun to talk about my writing. It really warms my heart and inspires me to see that people care. This was a good warm up, now I’m going to try to finish chapter 11!
