The cold tip of her nose would be enough to wake anyone up. A shiver of goosebumps slid down his spine, combated by the warmth blooming in his chest. This was the first time in a long time that he'd woken up and instantly thought of Bonnie. Not Katherine. Not Elena. But the woman who finally woke the dead heart beating within it's cage. 

The vampire hummed a sleepy response when her small arm slipped under his, there was a smile on his lips when his fingers interlaced with hers and he kissed her knuckles before he held her hand against his heart. He shifted back until they were flush together, sharing warmth and matching breaths, his body relaxing fully again into sleep. 

It was a milestone for him, but one he'd keep to himself for once. Maybe, just maybe, he wouldn't fuck up a good thing this time.

thinking about how night just bought the aquarium and the goldfish and put it in day's room. I'm sure day was complaining the whole time when night was doing those but day didn't physically force them out of his room. and it stayed there just like that and how it eventually became one of day's best thing in his room. how day came to love it so much that if he had to choose one thing to see a little clearly in his blurry to no vision, he chose to look at the fish swimming there, which was put there against his wish. and also how he didn't change the name from what night kept he just went with it. little day
