Star Trek confession :

Might've said it before but if I absolutely had to pick a ship in the Star Trek fandom besides Sarek/Amanda it would be T'Pring × Spock x Kirk ot3.

Normally Star Trek is my romance-free * zone but that would actually be interesting to read more. **Shame it's so rare, it's a perfectly logical solution after all.

(* I have plenty respect for Spirk and what it did for the fandom but tbh I personally don't care if it's romance or some other type of relationship, only that it's deeply important to both these characters.If it's there and it doesn't involve bashing other characters: Great! But not a requirement.)

(** kid me loved Amok Time but was disappointed they didn't let T'Pring join the crew instead so we get more Vulcans 😂)

It saddens me that Star Trek confessions blogs are either inactive or a bit silent these days so I've decided to try making one myself, hoping that it will become a place where people can have fun, make discourse, even vent if that's what they want. Come make a confession!

Please keep reading for general guidelines.

Depending on the number of submissions and real life engagements (also because I've never run a submission blog before lmao), I'm not sure how long it will take to edit and publish a confession.

Anon is on. Any form of hate, anonymous or not, will be immediately reported. Critically discussing ships, canon, headcanons etc. is fine, bashing people who like them is not.

If you wish to submit your own picture for your confession (or prefer no picture at all), feel free to do so. Of course, if you want to remain anonymous, I will not add your url.

Nsfw confessions are welcome! Posts with mentions of sex will be labeled mature, so please check your label settings to correspond to your viewing preference. If you don't want to have the mark for mature content checked but would still prefer not to see sexual content and/or mentions, I will use the tags "nsfw", "sex mention", and "sexual content", so make sure to block those tags.

Will update guidelines if/when needed.

Okay, I absolutely love the idea of Kirk and Spock having a telepathic bond. It is my most favourite concept ever and I really wanna use it in a fic one day.

BUT ANYWAYS! The reason it's my favourite because of how much Kirk and Spock could use it. They literally can send each other their THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS, what's not to love?

Like imagine some stuffy admiral comes on board and Kirk can hear Spock get irrationally angry when said admiral disrespects not only Kirk but the rest of the bridge as well. Or there'll be idle chats or questions of things like "what does -insert figure of speech here- mean?" or "could you tell me something about this place honestly where ensign ridley can't hear? i don't want the poor boy to get scared"

BUT ALSO IMAGINE IT IN LIKE AN ANGSTY CONTEXT TOO.

Like whenever one of them is rendered immobile does the other try to reach out through the link? When Spock died in WOK did he give Kirk one final "I love you, T'hy'la." before dying? Did Kirk try to fruitlessly reach out through the link right after Spock died just to ensure the bond was dead?

SIMILARILY- when Kirk died, did Spock similarly try to reach him? Illogically reaching for a man that is gone and who cannot be saved now?

Ooh the possibilities are endless and I love telepathic bonds so much.

I got two thoughts tonight:

Vulcans who’ve become so good at regulating their emotions that they still have a pretty good hold on them even when compromised, like under the influence of chocolate, and being quietly happy about that fact

And

Human partners/friends/coworkers/etc, not just other Vulcans, understanding how important it is to the Vulcans they know to not show emotion outwardly, and how humiliating it must be to not only show emotion in public but to have that choice + control ripped away from them, so whenever a situation where their control slips, like chocolate/weird plant pollen/emotionally compromising event/etc happens, they focus on helping that Vulcan get away from people and into some privacy (even from them) instead of using it as an opportunity to “find out how that Vulcan really feels about them”

#I hope this is comprehensible #I am both tired and sick #and trying to think happy thoughts instead of thoughts that upset me #I’m a fan of like.
