Headcanons I have about random Imperials based purely on ✨vibes✨
Thrawn - Puts both hands on the walls at urinals.
Eli - Always has a bruise in the shape of someones handprint on his ass.
Faro - Sniffs babies.
Pryce - Licks the inside of crisp packets.
Kallus - Pees in the sink.
Lyste - Thinks women poop babies out their butts.
Tarkin - Can’t rotate a PDF.
Krennic - Thinks Kit Kats are chocolate bars.
Ronan - Won’t shut up about his favourite podcast.
Deyja - His Doctor says he can’t have engery drinks anymore.
Gideon - Has never been to McDonalds and wants everyone to know it.
Yularen - Lactose intolerant (and deeply ashamed of this).
Dobbs - Doesn’t understand punctuation so always uses commas,
Enoch - Don’t bully him, he’ll cum.

I did not have Cute Hermit Crabs on my Star Wars bingo sheet. Nor did I have Cute Dog-Bat-Horse animal on my list of "Animals Lucasfilm Needs to Genetically Engineer Into Existence" but it is now top of my list.

You know something I noticed?
There is not a single other Imperial officer shown on the Chimaera.
All we see is Thrawn and stormtroopers. Even Enoch looks like a trooper - he's in armor, not uniform. Usually, you'd see at least one officer supervising things like loading a cargo bay - so where are they?
We know Ezra's attack at the end of Rebels cleared the bridge - we see the evacuation, see them fleeing. Did they all escape before the ship was dragged to hyperspace? Are they so low on personnel that they're all up in the command deck, keeping the ship together?
Ezra having focused on the bridge...
Are they dead?
I don't think we'll be seeing many of our favorites from the books...

The need to have Enoch backstory isn't fading away. He’s such a cool looking and interesting character. He’s a blend of classic stormtrooper and unique individual forged by years in exile under Thrawn's leadership.
He’s got a sterile mechanical voice and a humanoid face hammered into his helmet. He obeys Thrawn's orders without question and freely gives Sabine advice and a respectful parting. He’s an extension of Thrawn's will and a high-ranking commander of troops. He’s never once shown with his hands clasped behind his back in a standard military pose. [Whereas Morgan, a non-military person, is often shown clasping her hands behind her back when in Thrawn's presence. A deliberate or subconscious desire to copy Thrawn and show him respect?]
Enoch respects Thrawn and is repsected in turn, but he’s shown to have a greater degree of freedom of movement in how he stands. He's a convergence of tradition eroding but not breaking, and the natural rise of new systems created by the need to adapt to unprecedented circumstance s.

Ahsoka Episode 8 “The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord”: The Story, the Symbolism, and the Score Part Two
If you missed Part One of this analysis, it can be found here:
After Enoch gives his report on the failed TIE fighter attack, Thrawn tells him to prepare for a ground assault. Sinister drumming accompanies Thrawn’s exit.
The scene changes to Ahsoka, riding Baylan’s howler, and Ezra and Sabine riding double on her mount, Tota.
Tumblr media
“May the Force be with you,” says Huyang as he stays behind with the Noti to repair the ship.
Back at the henge atop the tower, Morgan addresses the stormtroopers who volunteered to stay on Peridea to fight the Jedi.
Ahsoka, Ezra, and Sabine arrive to see that the Chimaera is ready to dock with the Eye of Sion. Courageous sounding music plays as Ahsoka says, “Let’s try the front door.”
Thrawn, who has been tracking them, commands his men to “Rain hellfire on them.” He believes that there will be no negotiating with the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker.
Ahsoka’s Theme plays as the heroes ride toward the confrontation. They guide their mounts to dodge laser blasts from the belly of the Chimaera in a scene that reminded me of the orbital bombardment of Lothal’s capitol city in the series finale of Rebels.
Thrawn’s ship itself is a mythological reference, being named after the legendary Greek chimaera, a terrifying fire-breathing monster that is part lion, part goat, and part snake.
Tumblr media
The Chimaera, with its enhanced firepower, rains hellfire upon the heroes who race towards the tower’s triangular gate. Ezra and Sabine are shown to be using the Force in tandem push open the gate with Ahsoka. It opens just wide enough for them to ride through before it slams shut again.
Tumblr media
The three heroes engage in battle with the Nighttroopers, using lightsabers to deflect the blasts. Sabine uses her blasters to go on the offensive, doing the classic “sword and shield” maneuver from the Clone Wars, providing firepower against the enemy as Ahsoka deflects the blasts. The trio defeats all of their opponents.
In another callback to The Clone Wars animated series, the Nightmothers recite the resurrection chant from Season 4, episode 19, “Massacre,” which was written by Katie Lucas (George’s daughter). This is a clue to what the secret cargo aboard Thrawn’s ship might be: dead Nightsisters who will be returned to Dathomir for resurrection. The chant revives the dead troopers, who rise to continue their assault on our heroes. The creepy violin music that is heard during this scene sounds as if it was inspired by Danse Macabre, a popular orchestral work composed by Camille Saint-Saëns in 1874.
youtube
Here’s a recording of Danse Macabre (Dance of Death) being used to accompany a very spooky animated short that terrified me as a child. (I became a classical musician anyway.) Listen to the violin about 0:20 into the video and compare it to the music for the resurrection of the Nighttroopers scene.
youtube
Intense music plays as the zombie troopers assault the trio of protagonists. Sabine saves Ezra from a trooper who sneaks up on him.
“Nice moves,” Ezra says with genuine admiration.
Tumblr media
“She’s been training,” Ahsoka explains.
Tumblr media
“What’s your excuse?” Sabine asks, not missing an opportunity to tease Ezra.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I missed you,” Ezra replies in a hoarse whisper, uttering that heartfelt admission like a spontaneous love confession.
*******
End of Part 2.
To be continued.

fic: Admiral Fantastic, Thranto, mature
“I’m Thrawn,” says the boy.
He is…mostly Chiss-looking, save for the unusually floppy hair. He introduces himself in the purest Cheunh, with a distinctive Naporar accent.
He also does not seem to be intimidated by dozens of stormtroopers surrounding the ship, or by Dathomir’s typical landscapes and sounds: the distant roar of the rancors, the perpetual red mist enveloping everything. Today, it is so dense the valley has turned deep crimson.
Thrawn must be hallucinating. Perhaps socializing with the Great Mothers for too long does that to one. Perhaps not.
“I am Thrawn,” he corrects, not showing his surprise.
A wide, very recognizable smile blooms on the boy’s face.
“I know who you are. Dad named me after you!”
“Sir?” Captain Enoch asks. “What should we do with the intruders?”
Thrawn raises his eyes at Eli Vanto. Eli pretends to ignore the squad of stormtroopers.
This man is the Eli Vanto Thrawn knew—and yet he isn’t. Same tan skin. Same dark brown hair. Same eyes—Thrawn has never been able to determine whether they were brown or green; perhaps it depended on the lighting. But Thrawn recognizes neither the fine lines on Eli’s forehead and in the corners of his eyes nor the way Eli looks at him, as though trying to anticipate his next step.
With time, people change. It is only natural.

Some thoughts about last night's Ahsoka episode:
SPOILERS BELOW
Everything about this show is so well done. The casting, the music, the cinematography, the callbacks, the writing, the direction...all of it is incredible. Brilliantly executed in a way that leaves me speechless for hours afterward.
THRAWN. I mean...what can I say? Lars Mikkelson NAILED it in live action. The mannerisms, the way Thrawn commands a room, the way he's two or three steps ahead of everyone else...and of course HIS VOICE. It's all just so perfect. I don't even care that they're going a different direction than I hoped to see with his character (from the books). He's a mad evil genius and I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT.
THE MOTHA FUCKING CHIMAERA. Holy shit y'all. We got the Chimaera in live action. And I love that they Kintsugi-fied it, along with the Stormtrooper armor. It really fits right into Thrawn's love of art. Also, I dunno who this Enoch is but I need to know more about him, stat. That's gotta be the most badass Stormtroooper helmet I've ever seen.
Oh Shin. Oh you sweet summer child. You're feeling some type of way about Sabine and you have no idea what to do about it. It's giving "baby gay first crush" vibes and I do hope you realize that 😂 The looks you were serving Sabine this entire episode were far too many and too pointed to ignore. What in the worlds are we gonna do with you?
Not sure I'm on board with whatever Baylan has planned. He's been more of an antagonist than villain so far, but whatever he's seeking on Peridea CAN'T be good.
EZRA. Never change my man. Befriending a local indigenous group is so on brand for you. Your own band of rebels, indeed. However, I am looking forward to seeing you have an absolute meltdown once you realize that Sabine found you but had no plan as to how the two of you were going to leave 😂 Oh and she also sold out the entire galaxy to find you, so there's also that 😬
"A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away." Listen, I didn't know I needed to hear David Tenant say that famous line in live action, but I did. Oh I did. That whole scene was meta as fuck, Dave. I loved it.
I'm sure I'll come up with more thoughts/analysis as the days drag on before Part 7, but for now, I think it's safe to say this has easily become my favorite of the live action series. Even over Andor. Yeah I said it.

Ahsoka s1 ep6
Love how they reminded us of the fact that there are "former imperials working at every level in the new republic" ain't no way they're getting back to the normal galaxy this episode? like bro, dw I didn't forget the New Republic kinda sucks 😂
Deadass thought Ahsoka was gonna spill on her world between worlds experience 💀
Hm, Ahsoka seeing Sabine giving the enemy the map as a fault of her own shortcomings as a teacher when it shows that she really was Anakin's padawan.
Urging Sabine to do what's right and putting feelings aside, while being unable to do that herself and fearing what could happen because of it..... this coming after the episode where Anakin's legacy and Ahsoka's unease with it was explored is 😭😭
Though it is throwing me off that she's still saying the same stuff as before her epithany last episode?
I understand it would be too easy if those fears caused by Anakin's betrayal would be healed after one episode and they probably wanna save that moment for a more exciting scene than her and Huyang sitting in the mouth of a space whale. But it'd have been better if Ahsoka showed that she has progressed in this regard?
I cannot believe they did the cheesiest thing and actually had Huyang say the thing.
This show so corny I love it
Pour one out for the Wolfren people, there was a prison on board lmao
God I hope he keeps his promise, he's a more interesting dark sider if he does
Something about them being so far from civilisation is actually creeping me out....
They were in hyperspace for all of the events of last episode, probably longer, that distance between galaxies is incomprehensible.
If anyone gets stranded or hurt they'd be so far away from help, the typical "fleet arrives to the rescue" at the last second can't happen now.
I don't think it's ever sunk in for me how hopeless Ezra must've felt being stranded here
A signal?!? Really??? That was fast lol
You know, for a literal different galaxy, I'd have expected this planet to look funkier.
Even Dathomir looked more mythical than this
I guess I take back all that dreadful pondering about being stranded far from home in a deserted galaxy cause apparantly there are fucking people living here
ok sure
Poor Sabine, not Jedi enough for Huyang, too Jedi for them witches 😔
I swear to god if they show us another iteration of order 66
I don't think I've ever commented on Shin and Baylan's designs but I love how they almost have a game of thrones fantasy knight vibe about them. Makes sense as this convo suggests they seek glory from the past.
Props to Kevin Kiner, the music is stealing Thrawn's intro scene
Wild guess Im throwing out there, Enoch is Ezra but like ... brainwashed as Savage was
Either that or he is deep undercover as one of those stormtroopers, that def sounds like something he'd do
Bro why there so much familiar kind of typical star wars life on this DIFFERENT galaxy?? 💀
OH HE JUST A BIG LIL PUPPER 🥺🥺
Damn, last episode really felt like clone wars in style and this one really feels like rebels lmao
Shin self identifying as a trained Jedi? Interesting.
Her doubting what Baylan is saying?
Oh?
I cannot wait for Baylan "destroy the past" Skoll to face off against Ahsoka "recently started healing from the wounds of the past" Tano again. I can practically feel the emotional culmination of this show and Ahsoka's character concluding
Oh these creatures are gonna get fridged so bad aren't they?
Ah shucks my wild angsty guess disproven so quickly
Tho Ezra just chilling with a bunch of lil creatures is also very him
They can sense Ahsoka approaching in the whale?¿?¿? That sure is convenient for them
Lmaoooooo Morgan is so angry she's like "sOMEONE FUCKIN KILL THIS DAMN WOMAN ALREADY IVE HAD IT
👏 UP 👏 TO 👏 HERE 👏
WITH HER IMMORTAL BS"
Thrawn upon learning Ahsoka's master was Anakin: "oh, psssht, I know what buttons to push, easy"

You know what the aesthetic of Captain Enoch (& his stormtroopers) reminds me of:
Tumblr media
Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"), also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, "golden repair"),[1] is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum;
P.S. Eeeeee, Wes Chatham is under that helmet!
