Some thoughts on Callum’s Pokémon team:

He names ALL his Pokémon. The majority of them have Draconic names (Latin and Greek in our world).

Tachys, a female Taillow, and Anemos, a male Pidove, were his first partners. Their names mean “swift” and “wind” respectively.

Tachys evolved rather quickly, but Anemos took a bit longer.

Originally, I gave Callum a Glaceon on his main team. But today I learned his name means “Dove” in Gaelic. So I put Unfezant (whose pre-evolutions are inspired by pigeons and doves) on his team instead.

Fulminata’s name means “armed with lightning.” Its a reference to the 12th Legion in Camp Jupiter, from the Heroes of Olympus books.

Except for Auris the Meowstic, all of Callum’s Pokémon have sky or flight related names. Auris literally means “ear” in Latin.

His team is evenly split between male (Anemos, Auris, and Tempestas) and female (Tachys, Cirrus, and Fulminata).

He has other Pokémon! Most of them are flying-types, fitting for a Sky Mage.

Callum’s other Pokémon:

Aster (Staraptor, female)

Kryos (Glaceon, male)

Procella (Wattrel, female). Fulminata’s chick.

Nimbus: Pelipper, male.

Corax: Corviknight, male.

Strix: Noctowl, female.

Scintilla: Emolga, female.

1st fanart

So, as said in the title, this is my first fanart using Sketchbook and I had fun making it. It’s a gift to @twisted-nox-sidus​ Twisted Wonderland OC: Strix Noctowl. I just love her!! She’s so cool, cute and blunt. And I wanted to say: Keep going with the hard work and hope that you like Mermaid!Strix.

This is my first time drawing in laptop (and I don’t have a pen) so it may look very basic but it was made with love. 

Also, one of the poses are reference to The Little Mermaid “Under the Sea” so I’m inserting the picture of reference here. That’s the only one.

After seeing the summary breakdown on the latest TWST event that takes place based on Pinocchio’s Paradise Island with the shady duo, Honest Fellow and Giddel being the center of it all, I can definitely say that Strix will definitely be on her guard upon having Disney knowledge on Pinocchio and what dangers she will soon encounter behind this theme park’s dark secrets. Perhaps Honest Fellow would feel her unnerving stare, watching him that’s like a creepy doll or a puppet in this case.

It was like the azure blue moonlight casting a spotlight on the man himself. Fellow Honest is no stranger to having all sorts of eyes on him. He can tell those pairs of eyes in particular are brimming with doubt. Yet there is a certain wariness that speaks beyond what their meeting has established. As if they could see into his soul's true nature.

He makes eye contact with her. Strix averts her gaze low to his feet.

Did his shadow move?

In her mind, the voices of her Dream Eaters were hushed. They seem restless.

Something is wrong. Very wrong. A different kind of threat is prowling in the darkness casted by Fellow Honest.

A pair of small hands grasped her hand. Gidel looks up at her with perpetually droopy eyes before beaming a giddy smile. He sidled next to her, nuzzling his face into her arm just like the cat beastman he is.

"It seems Gidel has quickly taken a liking to you. You do have a peculiar scent that's quite... alluring for us beastmen."

When Strix looks up, traces of long ginger locks hovered her vision.

Fellow's foxy smile pins her to her roots.

"We do hope to see you at Playful Land."

This one will surely become a beautiful marionette, the man thinks to himself. Especially with those pure blue eyes devoid of light.

Suspended in the air above the stage, Strix Noctowl's strings wrapped around her body like a hammock.

Her limp hand reached for the white spotlight, and the other towards the floor beneath. All the while wearing a peacefully sleeping expression, pale and delicate like a porcelain doll.

Fellow Honest would laugh at the tragically beautiful display. It would be like a dream come true for anyone walking into Playful Land. It is a paradise one would not want to leave anytime soon.

As he howled maniacally, a pair of red glowing round eyes stares unblinkingly in his shadow, its gaze focused on the sleeping dreamer bound by strings of fate.

Oh man, Idia really fooled everyone when they thought he played the violin like a pro but it was just a recording of the violin audio when Jade pointed out!🤣 I do wonder if Strix will show off her talent as a pianist to Epel, Sebek and Idia when she plays The Dwarfs' Yodel Song(The Silly Song) on the pipe organ?

As a professional pianist who often goes to live orchestra concerts, Strix detected Idia’s BS the moment he held the violin. She knows what a violinist with skill is like. Idia dug his own grave the instant she silently gave him the stink eye that has him in tears.

If Strix has the chance to play a piano (or any similar instrument) she’ll jump on that chance if she’s in the mood. So yeah, Disney song guaranteed. 👍

Hey Nox, has Strix ever played a video game before in her personal life? If she doesn’t, then I can imagine how Idia and Ortho would react like with Riddle when he says that his family doesn’t even have TV or games are addictive that can decrease his learning skills as his mother told him before. This led to Idia’s heat up switch flip on ask he start fast talking about games and such. How would you picture it when it comes to Strix?

Strix has not played a video game before (mobile apps included). She spends her time playing piano, sleeping, schoolwork, and tending the house and caring for Sidney that she doesn’t really get the opportunity/time to play them. She saw no reason to invest in playing video games when she’s preoccupied with all the aforementioned things. (Board games and card games though she can play since she does them with Sidney as part of their daily routine and bonding)

Unlike Riddle, Strix doesn’t see them negatively. She wouldn’t mind trying it out if someone (Idia) lets her borrow the game and console to use. Idia makes it his mission to convert the normie in Strix to a gamer (and potentially a new buddy to share his interests in if he succeeds, which he’s all too giddy about). Ortho’s just happy Strix is open and willing to try the things that they love.
