Demons Unleashed ~ Origins of the Ink Demon Gaiden Pt.23 ~

Sonic : It doesn't feel right about this. I mean, we got the Green Pure Heart that was connecting to the Shinra person, but I didn't know why he wanted to duel against, he was the guy who created Soul World and their author is a weirdo. Well, that's no relief of mine!

Tails : Equivalent to all Seven Chaos Emeralds, this green pure heart was a piece of the purity heart created by the Tribe of the Ancients, a highly civilization that existed within the Paper Mario universe.

Sonic : Paper Mario, that 2D counterpart of himself, Paper Mario had a dark experience from darkest things ever had like Princess Peach becoming evil due to being possessed by the Shadow Queen and of course, that jester had plans of putting an end to all, This was probably some kind of gift from the ohkuboverse before 50% of it's universe was completely destroyed by the Time Eater.

Knuckles : No duh, It'll take weeks to destroy this peasant, I hope that it reminds one thing's for sure. Rouge always had me thinking about the Master Emerald being the center of the seven emeralds I collected. But when Angel Island falls into the ocean twice in the Dreamcast era, I had to gather the missing pieces of the Master Emerald from Station Square, Mystic Ruins, and Eggman's Aircraft. Then I had to collect the Missing pieces of the Master Emerald while that bat girl is collecting them during the Space Colony Ark Incident. I collected those master emerald pieces somewhere in the desert, the spooky mountainous region Pumpkin Hill, Aquatic Mine, and of course, there's one place that is so hard to get Master Emerald pieces.

Tails : What place did you hardly find them?

Knuckles : I believe it was space. (a cutaway show Knuckles at Meteor Herd running around while Meteors fall and crash) Help! Why is it so hard to find those darn pieces in Space! If only going through that Asteroid Belt was literally bad idea of going to the space co-(gets crushed by a meteor, in pain) Rats! (cuts back to the group)

Tails : So you eventually realized that the Death God of Mobius have monitored the situation to tell Shadow that he was the "Wrong" way, it's because that the Space Colony Ark wasn't created to destroy our world, it was created to destroy aliens and any other intergalactic beings. Guess Shadow was so worried about alien leaders being the bad father dudes was their problem.

Sonic : It's Daddy issues, Shadow has daddy issues with Black Doom, that's why they had to make throw him to prison or even Grim had to take his Soul away in order to make up for humanity. Humans in our world had no rights to become an arrogant species, the lore of our universe had never beens this weird, mysterious, and sometimes dark for all of us. (walks over get a cup of coffe) Yeah, right, Mr. Daddy Issues, that's Shadow alright. It's not like that Robotnik is going to be alone with his machine since he never really met his cousin Maria on that day. That's a dark secret.

(Door opening)

Sonic : Aw man, it has to be Nights, Yuji Naka never tells me that is other character would come to meet me for a third game and fans are going to displeased about it. Sorry to disappoint, Nights, but Yuji Naka isn't here so it's best that you will-!?

Knuckles : Eh? Who is this?

Sonic : Where in the world is that Jester? Ulala, did you do something to--

Mysterious Stranger (?) : That Dream Jester, and dancing diva Ulala isn't here, she's at the streets along with the sega chumps. But rest assure you that you would do fine if you'll tell me who or what is the final collector and the winner shall receive this prize.

Sonic : What's going on? What are you on about? What do you do need something that you really want?

Mysterious Stranger (?) : That Green Pure Heart, the one you got it from Shinra. With all seven pure hearts collected from the collectors, now all we need is to find the Eighth and final one.

Sonic : The white one, the eighth and final pure heart is connected to the beloved person that Shinra trust.

Mysterious Stranger (?) : I know it, she's the last of the Eight vessels of the Eight Pure Hearts. It's one the keys that Demon Vibe attempted to open the Door to Darkness itself.

Sonic : Then who are you, supposed to be, anyobdy that I know someone? I know it's Nozomi. It has to be you as the Mysterious racer. Or it could be Shahra that is hidden by the hood of that cloak.

Mysterious Stranger (?) : That's my jacket. With all of the eight pure hearts of the Eight pillars are collected, will finally spread the love out of the darkness and joy to the universe, love will conquer it all.

Sonic : Alright, then tell me who are you? You got a name, strange (the stranger unhoods herself to reveal herself as Miku) Say, I don't remember a girl having twintails like Maka before. or some other twintail girl that is Lenalee Lee. But I can't seem to put my finger on it. What's your name?

Miku : Miku, the name's Miku Hatsune, Sonic. But otherwise in Japan, they call me Hatsune Miku.

Sonic : I knew it! I knew it! I remember you! You were that girl that I first heard about in Cyberspace, you're one of the world's newest virtual celebrities of the music industry of the 21st century, Hatsune Miku!

Miku : Yes, you remembered me on my first concert, Sonic. You were the one who looked upon me after you wanted me to join your company for what?

Sonic : For a special someone, I proclaim that Sega would make you the successor of Ulala herself. Before you were born in computer memory space, Ulala was one of Sega's musical divas, she was one of our company's greatest characters that is powerful to save the galaxy with the powers of dancing and music. They say that Sega is looking for Ulala's successor and that successor is you, Miku.

Miku : So what? I was born within computer memory space. I heard about you, I obverse everything from your and the real world, when I was only a kid. I was modeled after a girl who was struck in a fearsome accident back in the year 06.

Sonic : Huh? Wait, you were modeled after a girl who died in an accident last year? Wait a second, I remember, you were named after a school girl that I just met over a year ago.

Miku : That's right, before I became a singer created from within Computer data, I was a senior at a high school who only wanted to be in the music business, the Vocaloid, they were a group of virtual singers that were modeled after those who died created within computer memory space.

Sonic : Computer memory space. I like the idea of that. So what brings you hear, Miku?

Miku : Someone gave me this message and there four, I found out that it would be awesome to have a personality like this. A man with a top hat gave me this to ya.

(a holographic image of Count Bleck appears)

Count Bleck : Sonic the Hedgehog, there is only one Pure Heart collector left and with that, all eight pure hearts connecting to the eight vessels will be completed in order to make them pure again. So I will think of something that this twin-tailed girl you met is not the eigth and final pure collector. So me and my group will begin our search for the final Pure Heart collector, so best be wisely to find the final pure hear collector, over and out. (his holographic self vanishes)

Miku : So I guess it's not me this time, I forgot that that I was going to give you this old Heart-shaped box that I was going give you this. (gives him a heart-container)

Sonic : This is from Smash, a heart container? Wait, That's Zelda.

Miku : Be my guess. Count Bleck and his group are on a search for the eight and final pure heart collector, something tells me that anyone is the eighth and final collector would be lucky enough to me the man of his or her dream.

Sonic : Sounds like Mario will be lucky enough to find the final and eight collector. More importantly, We're still worried about the missing chao from Blue Coast. I won't let Eggman Nega get away with this.

Miku : Sonic, I know you worried about the Chao, but why would a descendant from 200 years in your world would unleash demons that bent on destroying mankind like it's relative, Iblis?

Sonic : Iblis you say. I didn't know that was the creature, the one we saw during the Solaris Mysteries before the game retconned. But where did you say that about a fire demon eating chao.

Miku : He left the portal. And we warned anyone about using it, so, yep, he's going on to kill us with that evil fire demon!

Sonic : That mad scientist from the future, he's going to doom us all!

Tails : We have to stop that thing before it's going to real world au!

Sonic : The villains that I faced with have the nerves to bring to deal with a bunch of a demons!

Knuckles : Well I'm getting the Master Emerald whether they like it or not! I just wanted things to the way they were!

Sonic : Alright, guys! It's now or never! If it has the White Pure Heart, then we'll able to know something that what the pure hearts to spread that love to purity! It'll take a miracle to find out whoever has it.

Tails : And, It's okay to be cool when it comes to beating down a fire demon. Let's go take down that ifrit, together!

[the three runs off]

Miku : Don't forget who trusted you to find out who it is.

Sonic : I won't forget that. Alright, guys. Let's go!

Prompt:

Tails approaches Sonic, wearily watching him gaze out the window. “Sonic?”

Sonic shakes his head down, “It was a close call.” He turns and smiles as Shadow approaches the two from behind.

“Ah! Shadow!” Tails exclaims, spinning around and not sure if he should attack him or not.

“Easy, buddy. He’s cool.” Sonic explains, somewhat, and walks over to Shadow. He playfully whacks his shoulder, “Tough job, you may have the workings of a hero in you yet, Shadow!”

“Hmph, I wasn’t created for sporting a hero’s smile.” He steps away from Sonic, dusting off the place where he touched. “All this has done for me is left me with more unresolved questions. I don’t need your gratitude, just your compliance.” he folded his arms.

“Oh? Is that so? I see.” Sonic, without skipping a beat, cheerily leaned his body a bit and folded his own arms, as though to mirror Shadow but in a more relaxed way. “Well, you’re still getting one. Thanks, Shadow!” He charmingly gave him a thumbs-up, and Tails jumped with his fist held high.

“Yeah!”

“What’s the compliance?” Knuckles and Rouge entered then, angling their bodies towards each other, but looking squarely at Shadow.

“You aren’t sayin’ you’re gonna ask for our quiet demise some other time are ya?!” Knuckles swung an arm out, but Rouge placed a hand on her hip and sharply turned her head to him.

“Enough. He’s clearly not being hostile. You are!”

“What!? You-!” Knuckles stepped toward her but she broke eye-contact and turned her cheek to him, addressing Shadow again and ignoring Knuckles’s outburst toward her.

“You were saying?”

“Wha?! Hmph!” Knuckles saw the blatant turnaround and kicked the ground as he turned away from her, walking off by Sonic.

“Only to stay out of my way…” Shadow unfolded his arms, then looked to Tails and Sonic.

Sonic nodded, closing his eyes and opening them in the process.

Shadow lowered his head, acknowledging that Sonic had heard his request and accepted it.

“I simply want answers. Nothing more.” Shadow began to walk off, moving passed Rouge as she followed him with her eyes.

“Kinda moody for an ultimate lifeform, don’t you think?” she teased, tilting her head as Tails rushed over to the center of the bunch.

“B-but! What if he tries to hurt people again! We’re just gonna forgive him like that? Q-quick! Someone put a tracker on him!” he pointed to Shadow’s direction, but Knuckles and Sonic looked to each other, then away as Sonic gave a smirk to Tails.

“Come on, Tails. He kinda did help me save the planet.” He stood beside him, comforting his worried friend.

“Y… yeah, I guess that’s true.” Tails looked to where Shadow had left, then Sonic, and then to the ground, letting the topic go.

“Besides, he’ll have to face me again if that happens! And everyone knows I’m the fastest hedgehog alive!” Sonic struck a pose, and Tails happily laughed with him.

As Shadow continued down the hallway, he looked at the battered metal with old bullet holes in it… contemplating exactly what had happened, to the best of his memory.

“If this is what you wanted, Maria,… then I’ll stop this path, and find another way to achieve the purposes you asked for.” He continued to study the area, but nothing was triggering his mind. “Whatever those may be… and however much I may not agree with it.” he shook his head, not sure if saving the earth was right, but knowing that if Maria wanted it, then he had no choice but to follow it.

“Soooniiicc!!!!”

“Huh?” He stopped to turn around but was ambushed by the girl’s doting arms in yet another accident. “You never cease to forget to look first before jumping.”

Amy continued to smother him before realizing this texture felt a little off. “O-oh..?” Her arm felt fluff… that wasn’t right.

She also squinted her eyes to the black and red contrast on Sonic’s features… wait…

“Oh no!” she pulled away, “It’s Shadow!” she reached her arms back and quickly pattered her feet away from him. “Wait, if you survived, then Sonic must have come back too, right!?” she put her hands gratefully to her chest. “Oh, thank goodness. I was really worried about you two!”

“…You were… worried… about me?” Shadow looked a bit in shock, unable to understand that.

“Huh? Silly, of course I was! You both had me scared! When you dashed off to help Sonic save the world, I just knew you weren’t a bad guy!” she swayed a bit in her words, then pointed very sternly to Shadow. “Bad guy’s don’t say they’ll keep their promises! What was that promise you were referring to, anyway? I don’t remember asking you for anything.”

As she continued to speak, Shadow grew more… was it embarrassed?

He looked to the ground, his eyes darting around before turning away from her, gesturing to the world. “I remembered making a promise long ago to someone… your words… they brought those memories back to me.” he tightened his fist, bringing it in before his shoulders fell a bit from their rising tension, and then he nodded to Amy. “Before, I asked for no thanks… simply because I realized this was what I should have done all along. You… The thanks I received should be given back to you.”

He walked towards Amy, making her a little nervous as she looked up into his serious eyes, “Shadow…”

He placed a Chaos Emerald in her hand. Its glow and radiance looked much like the earth’s surface in hue and light…

The two stared at the emerald… before back up at each other.

“Thank you…”

“For what? Reminding you of a long lost promise? You really are kinda weird, but for that person’s sake, I’ll gladly accept your thanks.” Amy nodded, but something tugged at her heartstrings then. It didn’t really feel appropriate to have him thanking her, she didn’t feel like what she did was really the cause of his sudden change of heart.

“You’ve had that promise buried in you all this time. If anyone should give thanks, you should give it to that person you made a promise with, right?” she tilted her head cutely, and he seemed to be processing her words.

“Perhaps you’re right.” He started to think about it, before turning around and walking off.

“Oh, that reminds me.” He turned his head to look over his shoulder somewhat back at Amy, “I never did fully learn your name…”

“It’s Amy! Amy Rose!” She let out her signature vocal pattern and then waved to him. “I’ll always remember your name, Shadow! Shadow the Hero!”

“Amy…Rose… And a Hero..? You sound just like him.” He walked forward, repeating her name as he departed. “Farewell, Amy Rose. Sonic The Hedgehog… and Space Coloney Ark…” He then closed his eyes.

“Forever.”

“Huh?” Amy watched him round the corner, not sure what he meant by that…

She placed her hands over the Chaos Emerald and close to her chest as Sonic and the others came by.

“Hey, Amy. Long time no see!”

“Oh, Sonic!” She spun around, rushing into his arms. “How could you! I thought you were-! Ohhh, Sonic!” she dug herself into him, remembering that for a moment, he had almost died from a trap that exploded in space!

“W-woah! Hang on, Amy! It’s all good! Yikes! Don’t pull me so hard! Amy..!” she kept on laughing as Sonic protested little by little, but something still plagued her thoughts.

“Hey…” She pulled away, revealing the Chaos Emerald as she brought her hands forward from her chest. “Shadow gave this to me… And for saving my life back there… I’ll give it to you.”

Sonic looked down at the Chaos Emerald. He took it a moment and nodded to her. “Thank you.” then stuck it away.

“Hehe! That’s the second time someone’s thanked me today!” she chimed, as Tails walked over to her.

“What do you mean, Amy?”

“Well… Ah! That’s right! Shadow! I forgot!” She suddenly grew panicked and took off. Waving behind her, she encouraged them to not follow, “I’ve gotta make sure he gets back to earth, alright! What if he tries to use that fake Chaos Emerald!”

Knuckles suddenly jolted back in spot, “Oh no! That’s too far a distance! He’ll not make it!”

“You mean… if that’s what he was planning.” Rouge argued, “I don’t think the bloke’s stupid enough to consider that…”

“We needed the Chaos Emeralds… but maybe he thinks he can get by with Sonic’s fake Emerald?” Tails looked to Sonic.

“Either way, I’m not leaving a new friend behind!” Sonic struck a cool pose, showing his resolve as he took off. “Come on! We’ll find him! Leave no asteroid unturned!”

“Got it!” the others agreed, taking off.

As Amy searched, she gasped.

Seeing Shadow prepare an old containment pod to put him back into sleep, possibly killing him this time since he probably didn’t know exactly how to do it…

And there was a location… he was going to blast himself into space…

“No!” Amy shook her head, her face full of horror as she read the screens he had momentarily programmed to start up on its own. “Shadow, stop!”

She dashed to the pod as he approached it, grabbing his arm.

“L-…Let me go.” Shadow struggled a bit.

“Don’t do this! You belong on earth! Like the rest of us!” she wouldn’t cease, and he was somewhat confused by her odd strength.

“This must be… I’m not like anything on earth. I don’t belong there. I don’t belong here, either… You don’t understand what I am.” He tried to fight against her, but it was clear he was lenient in actually repelling her away. He didn’t want to hurt her.

“I don’t care what you are!” she shouted out, stopping him a moment from tolerating her moxie against him.

Her words shook him to his core.

“You… What?” his eyes quaked, widened by her sudden outburst.

“If what you are scares you from living a full life… then reinvent yourself!” she ducked her head down, making sure her arms were like iron bars he couldn’t escape from.

It was an awkward hold, her still gripping him from behind and him trying not to hurt her while attempting to move away and get in the pod that would make him sleep while he drifted aimlessly into space for eons and endless years.

“You… You don’t know what you’re saying. Let me go!” he tried to be a bit more forceful in his voice now, but she continued to struggle against him.

“No! This isn’t right, Shadow! What about your promise to me? Do you remember!? I have a new promise, promise you’ll stay! Promise me you’ll try and understand what you just saved! See the world for what it really is, a beautiful new home for yourself! You can be whoever you want to be on earth! No one will despise you!”

He couldn’t believe her words this time.

“That’s enough. Release me!” he was threw listening to the ramblings of a child.

“No!” She felt him using more of his strength now, his large hands finally placing themselves on her head and shoulder.

“Amy… You don’t realize what you’re saying.” She knew nothing of him. Nothing of his origin. He was a monster, that’s all he needed to know. Earth didn’t hold the answers he so desperately desired. Nothing did. It was all dead and gone… like he should be.

“I do! I know far more than you because I’ve seen earth! I know the precious lives that you’ve saved and you don’t, Shadow! You don’t know!”

“I’ve never saved any lives!” growing more frustrated, he bent his knees and began to push back against her, realizing he doubted her initial strength. His memories swarmed with Maria, the ones he could recall, anyway. “All I do is end lives… even if I don’t want too, and even if it costs me a promise!”

“Make a new one! I dare ya!” she pushed back against him, and for a moment, his feet scooted back and almost gave way at the sudden velocity of her shove.

“Ah…” He was actually kinda impressed, but quickly withdrew the thought. “I’m growing tired of this..!” he threw an arm up, whacking her back as she fell and landed on her back. “You may have swayed me before, Amy. But this isn’t something you can interfere with again!” he spoke with much more firmness in his voice now, a dark essence dripping from his tone. “If you only knew… the destruction I could cause to your precious earth… you’d let me turn into a forgotten curse.” He held his hand up, picturing the earth before lowering his hand into a shaking fist. “Leave me…” he swiped his hand back and began to load himself into the pod.

He put his arms in a similar position as when he had awoken from Eggman triggering his activation. He intertwined his fingers and let his head rest back, breathing in the fumes that would place him back into a warm, comatose state.

“Maria… Forgive me.” He closed his eyes, “I should have never been created… or you’d still be with us.”

“Preparing launch sequence.”

“Grr… ughh… GRAAAHH!!” Amy swung her Piko Piko Hammer into the pod.

It cracked the pod.

“What?” He opened his eyes and looked around, seeing the electricity spark and red lights flash on with yellow sirens spinning around.

“Containment breach. Launch in jeopardy.”

“HAAA!” Amy continued to swing into the pod.

Shadow’s eyes studied the girl, the powerful swings, the tears in her eyes..?

“Why… tears?” Then something happened, he felt an emotion pour from a heart he didn’t know he had.

With each swing, Amy’s arms would lift and he would see her. When it crashed down, he would see Maria, crying and desperately placing her hand on the containment pod.

His heart melted again, and he tightened his jaw, leaning back and kicking the pod to escape.

“Launch still imminent. No emergency code registered. 10…9…8-”

“SHADOW!” Amy cried out.

He strained against the militarized, seemingly glass surface.

“7…6….5…4…3…2-”

“You promised!” Amy cried out, her eyes like shattered pieces of a prism, shining with an endearing love for the stranger she had only just met. “Promise you will stay!”

“1.”

“…GrraAAAHHH!!! I PROMISE!” Shadow shouted out, the two’s force finally breaking the pod as it blasted out into space.

“Shadow!” Sonic and the others finally arrived, as Sonic threw the Fake Chaos Emerald, having found it slammed dunked like he remembered.

Shadow, being tossed around by the speed of which the pod was launched, finally was able to maneuver himself to grabbing the Fake Emerald.

He looked to Amy, “I’ll keep my promises… I’ll see you on earth… I’m not a bad guy, then… right, Amy?” he looked at the Fake Emerald in his hand, her image on the other side of it.

“Hmph, very well. I’m no hero, but I’ll keep my new promise to you.” He held up the Fake Emerald, “Chaos..! Control!”

It shook him to his core, but because he had far more chaos power than Sonic, the Fake Emerald was enough to send him to earth’s surface.

He fell unconscious, landing after the shining light had brought him to a beautiful forest.

The Fake Emerald rolled out of his hands, shattering from its final use, and Shadow blinked his eyes open.

The first thing he noticed was the rays from above, the sun hitting his fingers and causing light to part into shadows on the ground around him.

He tried to focus his exhausted eyes, then looked to see trees… felt grass… heard nature for the first time.

“Ma… Maria…” He barely could mouth it out, feeling his consciousness slipping away again, his eyes getting blurry as they faded in and out… he spoke one other sound…

“I see it… A-… Amy… I see what we’ve saved…”

And then, darkness… as was his fate.

Can you write a non-romantic, spy thriller story with just Shadow, Rouge and Omega hiding at a safe house from Eggman's forces until they could think of a plan? Can you make that story with them bringing down Eggman's robots by themselves using a plan of theirs'?

Team Dark:

It has been three years since they last spoke to each other. When G.U.N was no longer more, they decided to take different paths. Not because it was the best thing for the team, but because of their differences.

"Get your own safe house!"

"Last time I checked, this place doesn't belong to you."

"I came in here first."

Although there were rumors that G.U.N. wanted to come back, Team Dark just couldn't work together anymore.

They were hiding. Their plans didn't work out and now Eggman's forces were looking for them.

"What are you even doing here? I thought you were doing fine as a mercenary." Rouge said as she looked in the window, making sure no one was following her.

Shadow didn't like to be reminded of his current situation. He looked at her angrily, "I have my reasons, at least I am not a traitor."

"Traitor?" Rouged turned her head from the window with a snap.

"You told The Resistance about G.U.N."

"What was I supposed to do? Let them continue experimenting on-"

"This will not help," Omega added. The least he wanted now was a fight that might cause their safe-house to be found by Eggman's robots.

"Like you are one to talk!" Shadow said. "You went to work with that fox boy."

"Tails was the one who repaired me. You two left me to decay in-"

"We had no choice!" Shadow and Rouge said in unison and looked at each other with a disgusted look and walked away.

A few minutes passed in complete silence until Rouge spoke. "Omega is right, fighting won't take us anywhere. I need to get inside Eggman's base and get that Chaos Emerald."

"Not if I get it first."

Shadow and Omega now looked at each other and they instantly looked away. From what was funny before between the team, was no longer appreciated.

Rouge sighed as she touched her forehead. "Let's do this, we help each other battle through that army of robots and once all of us get inside, we can fight each other again."

"And how are we supposed to do that?"

"Amy to Rouge, do you copy me?"

Rouge's wrist communicator illuminated and Rouge looked immediately at Shadow to see his reaction. "Rouge here."

"I was able to locate the exact room where the Chaos Emerald is located, if ready, I'll give you the exact coordinates."

"I am surprised the pink one can do something right," Shadow said with a loud remark, hoping that Amy heard him.

"Yeah, I do things right. Unlike you with our past relationship."

"My sensor detects a degree five burn on Shadow." After Omega said that, he made a mental note to ask Tails to include a sarcastic tone to his voice.

Shadow felt his cheeks burn with embarrassment and anger. "LET ME REMIND YOU THAT IT WAS YOU WHO ENDED OUR RELATIONSHIP NOT ME-"

"We are not getting anywhere! We need to attack now! Eggman's robots will find us soon and we will be captured if we don't do something now!" Rouge looked backed at Shadow, asking him to calm down. Right now, fighting wasn't any good.

"I have a plan, but all of you three need to listen carefully and work as a team. No fighting, no doubting each other, no betraying."

Rouge looked back once again at Shadow and then Omega to look for approval. They both got closer to Rouge and nodded making her know that for now, they were at peace.

"Alright Amy, we are listening."

"Good, now listen carefully-"

"Sir, we have received information that the frontline has been completely destroyed," Orbot said quietly expecting Dr. Eggman to react. He turned his chair drastically.

"Was it The Resistance?"

"No, sir ... It was Shadow the Hedgehog."

Eggman let out a relieved sigh, and we went back to work on his computer, "We will be fine, it will rain soon and he won't be able to run on mud. As long as it's just him, my robots will take care of it."

"The other thing is ... that he is not alone sir," Cubot said this time as his voice trembled. He hid behind Orbot who was trembling as well.

"What do you mean he is not alone?!"

"He is with Team Dark."

Robot by robot, Shadow opened the way for Rouge to deactivate the force field that was protecting Eggman's base. Omega served her as back up, making sure no robot harmed her. There were three pillars she needed to deactivate. The three of them far from each other and she tried to fly as fast as she could but the heavy rain made it difficult for her see the direction she was heading to.

Although Omega tried his best to have the robots fight him and not Rouge, she still had to evade bullets that were coming for her from the ground.

She had two pillars down, just one more.

She was so close to the third pillar but she suddenly felt a bullet pierce her waist. From the high sky, she stopped flying and her body fell straight to the ground.

"ROUGE!" Shadow saw her fall down to the ground but his hands were too busy at the moment. Fighting robots and throwing Chaos spears. He couldn't run towards her, it was raining very strongly and his rocket shoes were filled with mud. He couldn't run and even if he could, he will keep falling due to he could only skate while running.

"Omega! Go to Rouge and leave! I'll give you both cover!" Shadow said as he destroyed another robot and prepared to fight another one.

"Order denied." Omega simply said as he kept shooting robots.

"What do you mean 'order denied'? Leave with her now!"

"Order denied. Must follow Amy's plan."

"Do you trust her plan more than me?"

"Must follow the plan."

Shadow grabbed a robot by its neck and kicked another far away from them.

"I knew it ... I should've done this alone. I knew this would happen ... just like last time. You betrayed me."

"Circumstances were different back then-"

"I wanted you to take my side! I wanted you to trust me!"

Shadow walked towards Omega, it was difficult to see him because of the rain but he still managed to get to him.

Omega realized that Shadow had the same look on his face, the one he had three years ago. "Shadow ... What you were thinking of doing was irrational..."

"I know it was but-"

"The only reason why you wanted to help G.U.N. with their experiment was because they promised you to bring Maria back to life ... you never let go of your past."

Thankfully, there were no enemies around. Rouge felt the wet grass on her fur and hated the feeling of her mud against her skin.

Especially when it began to combine with her blood.

"Amy to Rouge, do you copy me?"

Rouge put her wrist close to her mouth, making easier for her to respond.

"Rouge ... here."

"You don't sound too good ... is everything ok?"

"Not really ... I am tired ... I don't want to continue."

For a few seconds, Rouge couldn't hear the rain. She didn't hear anything nor feel anything. Maybe everything will be better if she just closed her eyes for a few seconds.

"So, are you going to give up on your promise?"

"What ... promise?"

"The one you made Shadow years ago."

Rouge bit her lip on anger, tears of disappointment and outrage. "Why should I care? He was willing to trade everything ... He was willing to trade us for someone who died a long time ago! He wanted to give up on our friendship because he couldn't let go of his past! I don't care if the world is against him, I don't care-"

"Even if you believe everyone in the world will be against you, know that I'll always remind by your side. Remember that."

Rouge eyes widened, she had forgotten. Those exact words. That exact promise. She remembered.

She could feel everything again, the grass, the mud, her blood, and the rain hitting her body. She softly stood up and watched the pillar, it was so close. She couldn't fly but she could sure walk.

Rouge placed her wrist communicator one last time close to her mouth to respond to Amy.

"I remember."

A few seconds passed were Shadow and Omega stared at each other. Shadow noticed a robot wanting to attack Omega from behind. He quickly placed himself in front of Omega and the robot. Shadow's arm got pierced by several bullets. as he proceed to protect Omega. His expression was painful, he back down as his legs trembled. He had lost all feelings on his arm, he forgot about the pain as a adrenaline rushed through his body.

"I let it go ... When G.U.N. exploded ... I let all the data ... I let all the possibilities of seeing Maria again ...I let it all burn ... just to take you to Tails as soon as I could ... so I could take Rouge to the Resistance ..."

Shadow looked back at Omega expecting a reaction from him.

"Order accepted, retrieve Rouge and leave for safety."

"No need my boys."

Rouge landed gracefully in front of her teammates. Shadow and Omega looked at how the energy force that was protecting Eggman's base disappeared as the pillars exploded one by one.

"Let's get that Chaos Emerald"

Now that they were inside Eggman's base, everything was fair.

The winner was Rouge, mostly because Amy told her exactly where the Chaos Emerald was. She just flew out of the base while laughing at her teammates' failure.

She waited for them outside, and Omega and Shadow came out. The three of them were covered in mud, Shadow's quills had more than five leaves and branches. Omega's paint looked scratched as well as mud all over him. Rouge didn't look well either, but having the Chaos Emerald in her hands made everything worth it.

"Seems like this is it for Team Dark," Rouge said as she landed in front of Omega and Shadow who they were both scratching their heads.

"Seems that way, don't get too happy, that's only one Chaos Emerald. You still need 6 more."

"Not really The Resistance has three of them."

"Seems like I should visit The Resistance soon." Omega began to walk away as Shadow let out a small laugh.

"As long as you don't touch the Chaos Emeralds, you are invited."

Rouge and Omega began to walk away together but stopped as they realized Shadow wasn't following.

"You aren't coming?" Rouge asked.

"No...I think it's for the best. Besides, Amy wouldn't want me there."

"She hates you."

"Yes, I know Omega."

Rouge laughed at Shadow's face and Omega's comment. It has been a long time since they had been together as a team and maybe right now, they still needed some time to grow.

There were still so many unanswered questions, so many misunderstandings and things that they should talk about.

But right now it wasn't the moment.

"I'll also be leaving, I need to go back to Tails and Silver."

"Won't you tell The Resistance where they are? We are all worried about them." Rouge asked.

"Tails and Silver's location shall not be discussed. Our whereabouts need to be reminded as a secret for safety purposes."

Omega looked at Rouge who had a sad look on her face. It has been a year since Tails, Silver and he had left the Resistance to start on their own project. They left without saying anything, no notes, not pre-announcement. They didn't tell anyone of the things they were creating.

"But if you must know, we are all safe. You must be at peace knowing that."

Rouge nodded and smiled knowingly. "Well, I'll see you around ... I think."

Without them noticing, Shadow was already a few meters away.

"Are you really just going to leave just like that? After three years?"

Shadow didn't respond, he just kept walking. Omega and Rouge looked at each other. That was just the way Shadow was, not too many words.

Rouge took a large sip of air, hoping that her words would reach Shadow as he entered the dense forest.

"Even if you believe everyone in the world will be against you, know that Team Dark will always remind by your side. Remember that!"

Shadow was already inside the forest, but still, he could hear Rouge's words resonate on his ears as strong and confident as last time.

This was probably the end of Team Dark but not of their friendship.

"I will."

A/N: I loved writing this. It was different and I just loved giving different backgrounds to the characters. A lot of things happened on that three-year break and it was fun overall. Thank you so much for this prompt!

A Serious Version Of Sonic Movie Sequel Ideas Explained

So had to click here again and I hope well I want the title to be truthful. Basically it's my thing about what I feel sequels would be. Just okay the movie isn't even out yet but I keep thinking ahead and this is in case.

But I wanted to talk about this and it relates to my post that silly one explaining events by the characters themselves. Along with relating to that Sonic movie Reddit leak whether true or not. Mainly I want to take advantage of this now and just have these ideas.

Including with the story taking liberties I'm want to build upon some stuff. Basically here's the trilogy. Along with a extra movie.

Spoilers for the Reddit leak because it references characters just in case or other things.

The first sequel. Stories taken from Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Heroes.

The first film and okay changed that last part text the first big text whatever. Wanted to change things up a bit and that change was a mistake I back spaced.

Yet the first film like the leak said the writers looked at Sonic stories mainly the Classic games and Sonic Adventure. The ones with the most are Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and Sonic Adventure.

The film takes place two years later. In 2021 almost left 201 but also the 30th anniversary of the Sonic franchise, 28th anniversary of Sonic CD Metal Sonic's first appearance, 20th anniversary of Sonic Adventure 2 Shadow's first appearance. Wanna say others but let's yet this over with.

Also seriously I keep thinking of that year as a sequel and in this timeline the 50 years not 6 but the many years after the Ark was raided not raised. Let me talk about this.

So it takes place after the first film where Sonic and his friends Tails, Amy, also new character Grant, along with Rouge and Madonna beat Dr. Eggman or Robotnik whatever name they use. Along with Perfect Chaos. With Sonic becoming Super Sonic.

The post credits scene is of Eggman building a big machine, looking at more manuscripts had to look on Google well YouTube at the top search had to use sonic unleashed gaia manuscripts almost forgot gaia. Including the end shows Metal Sonic being created.

Now here while he's building Metal Sonic, he also discovers about the government whether GUN or whatever are hiding something from the public relating to his grand father Gerald Robotnik. He then discovers Shadow.

Honestly knowing some Eggman fans I feel it's best to not have Eggman being tricked or whatever honestly this is different from Sonic Adventure 2.

Yet having Shadow and Metal Sonic. Also while I go with the theory GUN went after Sonic because they wanted to keep Shadow a secret. But just it's good to have both of these guys to help. Yet my silly post said people knew the difference or whatever with Metal Sonic and stuff.

Including Eggman tricks Knuckles into thinking Sonic is a bad person along with Tails and anyone else. Also Knuckles questioning why does Metal Sonic look more evil then Sonic. I've thought of this before but I guess Eggman saying to at least make him look different enough.

Including during the course of the movie while Eggman knows who Rouge is and she can't help them. Also theirs people who noticed some plotholes with her teaming up with Eggman and Shadow.

Yet during the course of the movie Shadow and Metal Sonic attack, and people thinking Metal could be Sonic until they find out it's a robot who looks like him. The people now start to think despite all of the good things Sonic has done. They were now thinking this is happening because of him. Theirs destruction that happens after battles, and people blaming Sonic that Metal Sonic was even born. They honestly want Sonic to be accounted for his actions.

Which actually at first Sonic does hear this stuff yet he understands and at times still helping. Also I don't wanna sound stupid at times doesn't listen some of them I don't wanna do that. Yet it's so much that he is actually thinking too deep into it.

Then connecting more into the first film. Mainly Sonic is met by Tikal's orb whenever he goes to some places even the old Echidna temple to go out and ease his mind. He's met by her and even Chaos in his normal form basically Chaos Zero. But after Sonic basically kicked his ass. Chaos then realized along with Tikal that the world changed. With the film introducing Chao but they aren't a big thing yet to Chaos they are. He's not angry anymore or not as much.

Was gonna write the thing about Sonic yet I wanna explain first this to connect and respect that in the games Chaos was angry for a reason. That he wasn't some random God Of Destruction and just this to be have audiences be aware of that lore.

Now the Sonic thing he talks to Tikal about the stuff of what's been going on. Also the themes and talks about scarifice. With Tikal despite everything she tried to stop. Chaos was angry and destroyed the world. So she had to make the choice of trapping herself in the Master Emerald wait....just....or just Tikal trapping herself with Chaos for thousands of years to make sure nobody was hurt.

I don't know well it seems to count. Yet basically sometimes scarifice comes in certain ways. Whether it be like that or other ways.

Shadow is basically still the same, being the Ultimate Lifeform and hating on humans and basically the world. With seeing his family and basically sister in a way Maria shot while trying to make sure he escaped. While still the same Shadow and trying to set up his supposed father's plans Gerald Robotnik's yet okay people say their some weird stuff with it such as why Chaos Emeralds always connected.

But basically the plan changes.

Metal Sonic is still the same thing. But basically as the film goes on he thinks a bit more for himself. Including of how his father Eggman treats him, and how this is basically getting him nowhere. Along with the obsession that he is the real Sonic.

Yet it's get more personal and he slowly losing it.

While it doesn't go the way of Sonic Heroes some people don't like how Eggman was trapped for most of the game.

Also theirs this theme with Shadow and Metal how they are similar. Both weapons in a way. Including with different relationships with certain families. With different goals.

Including Knuckles okay he figures out what's going with the Master Emerald being stolen. So he teams up with Sonic and friends. Including let's have half of the moon blown up still in a way.

Yet instead of some stuff. Okay just thought of this Gerald's video is released early and everyone figures out what's going on with Shadow.

Including Metal Sonic in secret studying Sonic, studying Shadow, and maybe some Chaos but basically for the Biolizard he decides to absorb it's energy or something and the others see this or just he kills it.

This is a different route instead of what Metal Sonic did in Sonic Heroes.

I'm seriously thinking wow Metal Sonic botched Shadow's and Gerald's plan to destroy the Earth yet Eggman... honestly he wants the Earth for himself.

So Sonic with Amy a bit but Sonic tries to change Shadow's mind. Including this is on Earth but Shadow basically kicks his ass in a fight. Including Shadow is not accepting that Maria died and what her final wishes were. He's choosing to ignore them because he is so enraged and just can't let go of her.

But it's until Sonic even admits that Shadow is becoming the thing he hates and even others learning of Maria never wanted this. Along with Amy protecting Sonic reminding Shadow of what Maria did for her and fully remembering his final moments of seeing her and her final wishes of giving them a chance.

While still I guess feeling angry. Shadow decides to help. But Metal Sonic is almost ready just he's Neo Metal Sonic now and he's so bent on killing Sonic and furious of how his own father has treated him and the world. He tries to kill Eggman but Sonic stops him. Including going Super Sonic. With Shadow becoming Super later.

Along with Neo Metal Sonic becoming Metal Madness and Metal Overlord. With Metal Overlord still being so powerful. The only way to defeat him is to get to his core. Since having the energy of the Biolizard in him and other things.

Sonic realizes that they need to get closer. Yet with how Metal is their is a high possibility of death. But also to Chaos Control Metal Sonic or his core basically his heart out of the area.

Realizing that this might be the only way and the world is going to be destroyed soon. With the whole reason Metal Sonic is doing this is that he wants Sonic dead. Knowing he could die, he wants to save everyone even Eggman and everyone who basically hates him. Showing who he really is. He doesn't care of what people think of him. But he's going to do what he thinks is right.

So he does that almost left dies. Even with Shadow using all four of his rings but Sonic going in first and Shadow supposedly keeping Metal Sonic at bay. With Shadow not approving of what Sonic is doing and even everyone else but Eggman just being shocked by this.

He gets close enough to Metal, gets to his core and some spear or something not Chaos Spear but something maybe of something fallen off of Metal then thought something Tails built.

Including Metal supposedly stabs Sonic in a way and Metal saying he is the real Sonic. Including as he Metal develops more he learns to talk. But Sonic replies their are no Sonic's with everyone hearing them. Yet also meaning both him and Metal are dying. With Sonic finally saying Chaos Control.

It happens and the explosion and Sonic's death screams are so loud along with Metal Sonic's too go across the world and even break some glass with everyone hearing them and watching them. Also yeah have it in the sky since Metal Overlord flies. As the explosion goes off Shadow basically falls down a visual reference to his death from Sonic Adventure 2 but just now witnessing Sonic's scarifice yet he manages to fly a bit yet is weak a bit after using all four of his rings.

Metal Overlord comes crashing down dead basically. Yet okay just put Sonic saying Chaos Control now but Sonic is nowhere is sight. No body and nothing. Just okay the spear there. The world just witnessed Sonic just had scarificed himself.

They saw him scarificing himself dying, Metal Sonic and even Eggman finally got what they want Sonic supposedly dead but gone. Yet Metal Sonic but died doing so. Along with Shadow seeing this made him realized now. Maria scarificed her life to save him. Now Sonic just had scarificed himself but it wasn't one person it was the whole world. Along with Shadow himself. With that symbolism of Maria and Sonic while different did similar things. They both died doing what they thought was the right thing and saved a life in Maria's case and in Sonic's case everyone on the planet including Shadow. Who was basically going against Sonic and hated him.

Basically in a way that ending people think of for Sonic Adventure if Sonic had died but differently in a way.

The world is in sorrow. Even cameos for the fun of it like Princess Elise and no Sonic 06 did not happen in this universe. He met her during those two years and is friends with her. Along with Chris Thorndyke who he met too and was friends with him and his family. Basically those are cameos I personally put in there showing those two while some or a lot of people don't like them. Wanted to show them how they would feel at something like this and not stereotypes of them because I'm okay with them and I guess like them. Not the biggest fan okay basically oh head be nice it's a nice little cameo for people who like them and I wanted to treat them with respect.

Along with a cameo building Buddy/Gadget/Rookie from Sonic Forces before the events of that game happened and him reacting to these events too.

They built a memorial for Sonic and even a statue, the world mourns for Sonic's death, while Eggman would of wanting to kill Sonic himself. For the first time in his life. He is basically shocked by an action like this and confused. Because he wants to retain his douchey self and not care.

Including after witnessing that. Shadow now wants to now help the world. But not just by Maria's promise yet seeing first hand what someone like Sonic would do.

Basically now remembered thinking he failed Sonic is life but he won't fail him in death. Including even talking to his friends with Amy there too thinking he was the one who killed Sonic and telling them he's not asking them to forgive him. With Amy and the others being confused by this emotion. That Shadow actually blames himself for Sonic's death.

But the post credits scene or whatever is of showing Blaze seeing a dimenison portal being opened and her being concerned.

Just thought of this and almost forgot or just I remember and realized this is going to be long.

Sonic Mania Movie

Basically a movie adaptation of Sonic Mania I guess the next year 2022 with the third movie coming out later. Still thinking at times a Team Chaotix movie and Shadow movie. Maybe a Team Chaotix movie before the first sequel and oh Knuckles but no it's Team Chaotix still just new ideas.

2nd sequels stories taken from Sonic Rush and Sonic Forces and a bit of Sonic Rush Adventure

Had to look at the first big text thing. Basically the world is depressed after Sonic was okay just put the Sonic Rush Adventure thing. But okay the world is depressed after Sonic supposedly died. While in Sonic Mania from what I know the Phantom Ruby dropped in this dimenison where the main movies take place. So Eggman finds it and the comic where Infinite before he becomes of what he is. Him leasing Jackal Squad to raid Eggman until Infinite discovers what the Phantom Ruby can do like Eggman. With now Jackal Squad joining Eggman and his forces now.

Shadow I guess this takes place a year after Sonic's supposed death also hey 30th anniversary of Sonic 2. But Shadow still trying to do what he can after Sonic scarificed himself. Inspiring Shadow and going by Maria's promise to protect this world.

So he finds Eggman at his hidden base and had to look so last paragraph put Shadow at front. Basically Shadow kicks the Jackal Squad's ass and him telling them stuff like this isn't worth it. Basically Jackal Squad just leaves Infinite and then Infinite tries to fight Shadow but as the story goes gets his ass kicked.

With Shadow calling him pathetic and let's put weak in there. But also him easily kicking his ass and his squad just flat out leaving it. This basically triggers even more of what happens with him. To go with Eggman's plan and become one with the Phantom Ruby.

Along with Infinite this version. The aftermath of what happened. After being left and considered weak by Shadow. Because of this Infinite's mindset grows even more negative. Disgusted by the concept of family and hating it along with despising the concept of weakness so much. He's basically losing himself at this point.

So since Sonic is supposedly dead. Eggman attacks and Shadow is the one who fights backs. With this time Infinite well they meet first or whatever or sometime. But also Infinite bringing clones of Shadow, Chaos, and Metal not a clone is rebuilt but made sure he's not gonna betray Eggman. Also the fact Sonic is considered to be dead at this point. They kick Shadow's ass and he's the one who vanishes.

Okay girl cleaned up some popcorn of mine on the ground. But basically Shadow is one of the world biggest defenses and while Shadow hates working with Shadow clones. This was Eggman's idea. Infinite decides he can torture Shadow since he's the one who increased this threat even more. I know torture wasn't the word used in the Japanese version and the English version for some reason used it.

Honestly Infinite seriously hates Shadow. I can see him doing this stuff. Also realizing Shadow can't not die or age. Yet you can mentally hurt him in some way.

For Sonic while confirmed dead. As a visual reference to Sonic Rush Adventure he washes ashore on the island where Marine resides at and she okay I had to watch the first part on YouTube I'm on my phone at Target I had the audio off.

But she starts poking him with a stick. So yeah Sonic is injured but he heals up on the island including some time meeting Blaze who wants to check on this. Basically Sonic using Chaos Control with all that power now teleported him here.

While wearing a bandage around his chest he tries to get back. Yet doesn't know how yet these Sol Emeralds could be the key. But because of what's going on in the other dimenison. With Infinite and Eggman using the Phantom Ruby and starts opening portals to other dimenisons. With Classic Sonic's world being one of them.

Also theirs no Tails vanishing and no he's not losing hope. Yet over time even with some of Sonic's last words he starting to lose hope but he doesn't wanna show it but people see it. Along with others like Amy having dreams of Sonic being alive and seeing her. Also this relates to old ideas. Even Shadow himself having dreams of Sonic being alive. Also the reversal of a racing scene between them. Instead of Shadow it's Sonic who says hey don't you remember I died which wakes Shadow up whether before he gets captured or while he is.

Also I know Shadow doesn't need sleep. Including let Grant and others be affected by this.

Including Tikal was shocked by Sonic's scarifice and even shows up I guess to help but basically pissed off at a fake Chaos and maybe Chaos helps.

Along with Buddy/Gadget/Rookie decides to help and overcoming his fear.

So instead of saving Sonic it's Shadow and he escapes and Sonic and Blaze and guess yeah put Marine there too teleport oh the Death Egg what about a random prison but using s teleporter that opened they go into that dimension and even Sonic saving Buddy/Gadget/Rookie.

Also their are changes like they have all the Chaos Emeralds but they won't work. Even for Sonic, Shadow, Tikal, Chaos, or even Classic Sonic. Including Sonic getting angry at one point.

Just okay the Sol Emeralds also theirs this critical thing the Chaos Emeralds being used so much and the idea they can think for themselves. Basically they aren't helping Sonic and the others.

Also the last Sonic movie post the silly one I forgot about Silver and I don't know I guess Blaze replaces him but still I don't know. This phone has 24 percent and I want this to be the end of this or some shit.
