Accidental Confessions (Tom Lucitor | Star vs the Forces of Evil)

Summary — You’ve been keeping a secret for a rather long time... until Star lets it slip.

You loved Star Butterfly with all your heart. Truly, you did. She was one of your best friends and confidants... which may have been a mistake because she couldn’t keep a secret if her life depended on it.

When she had introduced you and Tom to one another, she didn’t think much of it. That is, until a few months ago when you confided in her, revealing that you had a major crush on the Prince of the Underworld.

She had immediately squealed and ripped out her dimensional scissors, eager to transport you both to Tom’s doorstep so you could confess your feelings for him. Her smile, however, had quickly disappeared when you swore her to secrecy. There was no way you were telling Tom anything.

But now, Star was in trouble. Her hands were covering her mouth. Her eyes were wide and unblinking as she stared at Tom. His jaw had dropped in surprise, leaving him almost incapable of asking, “They like me?”

“I wasn’t supposed to tell you that,” said Star, though her words were muffled. “Pretend I didn’t say that!”

“Star!” exclaimed Tom, grabbing the magical princess’s shoulders. “Is this for real?!”

“What’s for real?”

The two were startled by the sound of your voice. Star quickly made her escape, avoiding eye contact as much as possible when she breezed past you. Once she had disappeared, you furrowed your eyebrows and gave Tom a confused smile, “What’s up with her?”

“I love you.”

You reeled back in surprise. You looked around the room for any sign that your friends were playing a (cruel) joke on you. Tom took this as his opportunity to approach you.

Coming to the conclusion that there were, in fact, no cameras in the room, you chuckled nervously, “What?”

“I love you,” he repeated, stepping closer. “Did you not hear me the first time?”

“I’m sorry,” you breathed, “but what exactly did Star tell you?”

Tom smiled, “Enough for me to know that you like me back.”

“And you’re okay with that—?”

Tom groaned loudly, deciding that words clearly weren’t getting through to you. He reached out to hold the back of your neck. In the blink of an eye (or three, in his case), he had pulled you in for a gentle kiss. It didn’t take you very long to weave your hands into his hair, tugging him closer to you.

Meanwhile, Star peeked around the corner and sighed in relief when she realized that you (probably) weren’t going to be mad at her for accidentally spilling your secret.

Wait so....marco kissed star instead of saying how he felt towards her to get out of the photo booth despite knowing she was already in a relationship with Tom and marco was with Kelly...? Marco why😭😭 star was so confused towards the end.

When marco was in a relationship with Jackie, star later on confessed her feelings to marco. Marco had the chance to be with her then if he really felt the same towards her (which he did) but still chose to be with Jackie (even she knew deep down marco wanted to be with her and I'm sure her feelings were hurt). Yea....no one was kidding when they said the love drama kinda ruined the show :( but I still like svtfoe overall!!

Hiro rants about cartoons again

i think one of my favorite things about LMK is the characters, specifically Mei and MK's relationship

like, in EVERY SINGLE OTHER SHOW OR EVEN FANDOM If theres a "Best friend" at the start of the series, or if theres a character of opposite gender next to the main one on the cover, 99 PERCENT OF THE TIME IT'S A LOVE INTEREST. (unless its gay or poly if its gay please continue(The Owl House i love you luz and amity))

for example (all of these things I love but RAHH):

SVTFOE. Like, the show was great until they made it ALLLL about Star and Marco getting married or WHATEVER

Or Steven Universe, for steven and connie. Like, I love them, but you know what i also love? BESTIES. I kinda wish they just.. stayed friends (Ruby and Sapphire dont count those two are one of the banes of my existence)

Or..... SPIDERVERSE. I LOVE GWEN AND MILES BUT... did they HAVEEEEE to be getting together.. couldn't they be friends??

SVTFOE oneshots: part 4

4: How Heckapoo should have acted during 2.16.2

Marco pulled the scissors through the air like he had a hundred times before that day, but this time the portal was made of fire.

“What?”

A hand popped out of the portal and grabbed Marco by his hoodie and dragged him in roughly. Marco fell to the ground in a heap.

“Where did you get there?”

Marco looked up at the pale woman in a fire-colored dress sitting on top of the portal holding Star’s scissors. She then jumped down in front of Marco.

“Seriously, fleshwad. Talk.”

Marco stood up and rubbed the back of his head. “Um, well, I’m borrowing them from my friend Star, who got them from her friend Princess Ponyhead.”

The woman took a thoughtful expression before hardening into a scowl again and making another portal before reaching in and pulling through Ponyhead.

“Hay now, what do you think you are doing? I was in the middle of my cardo.” She then noticed who was in front of her and visibly began to panic.

“Oh, hay Hekapoo. How’s it hanging girl!”

Hekapoo dangled the scissors she got from Marco from her pointer finger in front of Ponyhead while holding a blank expression on her face. Ponyhead looked down at the scissors before floating back to try and put space between her and the MHC member.

“Hay, I’ll have you know that taking items that are left in the bathroom is definitely a legally binding way of giving someone a gift!”

“PONYHEAD!”

Ponyehad then turned to look at Marco. “Oh no you didn’t narc on me Earth Turd! You are in for a world of hurt!”

“I’m in trouble! You stole dimensional scissors and gave them to Star! What if she got arrested?”

He then turned to Hekapoo. “I am so sorry about this, Hekappo was it?”

She nodded. “That’s right—Hekapoo of the Magical High Commission. I’m the forger of all dimensional scissors. I am also in charge of all interdimensional travel, communication, scrying, and anything else that involves one dimension interacting with another.”

Marco then paled so much that he looked like Freeze Miser, and then got so red with anger he looked like Heat Miser as he turned to Ponyhead.

“YOU STOLE FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND PAWNED THE EVIDENCE OFF ON STAR? That is it! If we both get out of this alive, I will kill you myself!”

Ponyhead immediately got all up in Marco’s face to stare him down. “Bring it Earthturd. I can take you down with my horn tied around my back!”

Hekapoo then separated the two. “Break it up you two!” She then turned to face Marco. “Good news fleshwad. You and your friend are clear since Ponyhead here just confessed, so only she will be punished for the thief.”

Marco sighed in relief and sat down on a nearby rock. “I am glad to hear that.”

She then turned to Ponyhead and dragged her down to eye level by her horn. “As for YOU!”

“Hay! Watch the horn lady!”

Hekapoo just stared her down with no regard for what had been said. “You are hereby banned from all interdimensional activities such as travel and communications and will stay in the Cloud Kingdom until your trial. Expect to hear from me in 3 Mewni months. Got it?”

“3 MONTHS ON MEWNI WITHOUT BFLY? Have you ever heard about ‘cruel and unusual punishments?’”

“That’s why you have the trial to determine if it is for life or not. If it was just up to me, I would ban you from it and be done. But SOMEONE,” she coughed into her hands while saying ‘lawyer Lekmet’ “made a massive list of things I still have to follow.” She then threw Ponyhead back through the portal she pulled her out of and closed it with a snap of her fingers.

“Ok, that was so fun to watch. Once again, I am so sorry about this. If I had known they were stolen I would have contacted you right away and given them back.”

Hekapoo then turned to face Marco, who at this point was standing shamefully while kicking the dirt in front of him.

“It’s ok human. However you still did open multiple portals to the same dimension within a short distance of each other, so you will have to pay a $650 fine. After that, I can send you back to Earth.”

He nodded pulled out a stack of dollars and handed them over to Hekapoo, who began to count them.

“What about the scissors? I know they’re yours, but I borrowed them from Star. Is there any way I could get a pair myself so I can give something back?”

Hekapoo rolled her eyes before snapping her fingers and making a bright red crystal ball appear floating in the air in front of Marco. “OK then, look through the catalog and tell me which one you would like. There are multiple different kinds to choose from, each with differences in the number of uses, the number of dimensions you can reach with them, and how far or close in your dimension they can make portals. The fewer restrictions the pair has, the harder it is to earn them. I’ll give you a 1% discount as an apology for taking your scissors away in the first place since I am a nice girl.”

Marco shoved the ball to the side. “I’ll go for the ones that Star already had!”

Hekapoo froze before collapsing to the ground in a heap, spilling the money out all around her while she laughed so hard, that she could only roll around while clutching her sides. Eventually, she was able to pull herself together enough to stand up and begin to pick up the money. “That’s rich!”

Marco marched over and began to help Hekapoo pick up the money while holding an annoyed look on his face. “I’m serious! I’ll have you know I have a red belt in karate!”

After they were both done picking up the money Hekapoo put it all in a pocket in her dress before turning to face Marco. “This should be amusing! Okay. All you have to do is blow out this flame.” She then pointed to the fire on top of her head.

Star pulls in the laser puppies

“Oh, this does not bode well.”

She then pulled out her compact and saw a new message on it labeled Hekapoo.

“Oh, this does not bode well at all.”

She then pulled up the message and played it.

“Hi, Princess Butterfly! This is to let you know that the scissors you got from Ponyhead were stolen from me by her.”

“WHAT?”

“Since You’re boy toy Marco-“

“Not my boy toy!”

“-said you didn’t know about this, and Ponyhead confirmed it, she will bear the full punishment. As such, she is forbidden from all interdimensional activities for 3 months until her trial. As such, if you want to talk with her, you will have to visit in person.”

“Poor Ponyhead.”

“As for the scissors, Marco said that he would earn you a new pair. Though he decides to be either a loyal boyfriend-“

“Not my boyfriend either.”

“-or an idiot by trying to earn a pair of the same caliber that you already had.”

Star’s face paled at that.

“I left a portal open in Marco’s room so you can come in person to either convince him to stop being an idiot or buy/earn a pair yourself. See you soon!”

As soon as the message ended Star turned to the portal. “I’m coming, Marco!”

Hekapoo’s forge

Hekapoo was standing in front of a large bucket of molten metal, summoning a blob out of it before forming it into a pair of scissors.

SLAM

The door behind her was kicked open, revealing a tall teenager in a tattered red hoodie. His face had a hint of stubble on it, while his chest had the beginnings of abbs forming. Where before he was Hekapoo’s height, how he was a full head taller (or the same height if you counted her horns). He began to talk in a deep voice.

“So, it all comes down to this. 16 months. A lot of clones. Seemed to go by…” He then snapped his fingers. “Like that.”

Marco then walked up behind Hekapoo as she finished forming the scissors.

“I finally tracked you down Hekapoo.”

“Yep, it’s the real me. No more clones, so…”

Marco then lowered his hood. “Who’s a little boy now?”

Hekapoo just smiled. “Still you, mister ‘I’m 16 and a man now.’ This is the part where you blow out my flame?”

Marco laughed and collapsed on the nearby couch. “Your clones are talkative. Every time I lost you I simply convinced one of them that I thought they were the real you and they would start blabbing on about where you were. After that, it was a simple matter of surviving the exploding plains of Flendar, the mist of the Neverzone, or even the Afflicted Forest right here to end up at your door.”

Hekapoo rolled her eyes. “They aren’t that dumb. I just made them at 99% of my capabilities instead of the usual 100% for this challenge. I was debating doing 99% of the number, but I thought dumbing the clones down would make a more noticeable difference than a handful less.”

At that moment a Hakapoo walked in with her fingers in a Chinese finger trap. “Hay, you said you would wait outside until after I finished this!” She then went back to trying and remove it.

Both Marco and Hekapoo turned to look at her and then back at each other. “I think you lowered them a little more than 1%.”

Hekapoo just sighed. “Well no matter how much it was, you did beat the challenge I set up. I am not going to make you suffer just because I messed up. That is not how I roll at all.”

Marco stood up and smiled at her before blowing out her candle.

“All in all, not bad for a human.” Hekapoo then gestured at the scissors, that then floated over and into Marco’s hands before his name began to glow on them.

“I underestimated you.”

SLAM

The door was kicked open by Star who immediately pointed her finger at Hekapoo.

“Hekapoo! Where is-“

She then immediately noticed Marco standing next to her. “Marco?”

“Star!”

Marco ran towards her and wrapped her in a massive hug. Star returned it after a few seconds, but then backed up out of it and just began to look him up and down with wide eyes.

“Marco.”

“Oh, man, we have so much to catch up on. I’ve learned how to sword fight, I fought an army of wolf bears-“

Star had stopped listening to him and was just looking at his well-defined muscles.

“And then I jet skied off a waterfall. Isn’t that cool?”

“What?”

“Oh, check it out. It took me 16 months, but I totally earned these H-1 class scissors.”

Star just shook her head at that. “Wait, 16 months? Marco, you’ve been gone from Earth for, like, 8 minutes.”

Marco just froze in place before he began to yell in rage. “EIGHT MINUTES?”

Hekapoo was just leaning on a table, enjoying the show. “Yeah, I forgot to tell you that I adjust the time dilation of this dimension compared to others during scissor trials. Not sorry, this is exactly why you should have read the catalog I gave you at the start.”

Marco just shot her a dirty look while Star tried to play peacemaker.

“No, no, no. This is good. It means you haven’t missed anything back on Earth.” She then grabbed Marco’s arm. “Come on. Use your new scissors to take us home.”

Marco took a deep breath before turning to Star. “Ok, just let me square a few things away for Nachos and say goodbye to her and Hekapoo.”

Star just blinked. “Nacho’s?”

At that moment a knee-high dragon with wheels for feet rolled in and growled at Star.

“My Dragoncycle. She has been at my side for the last 15 months after I saved her egg from being eaten by a predator.” He then cringed at the memory. “Granted I was doing it because I hadn’t had anything to eat in 2 days, but I couldn’t eat her after she hatched. I decided to raise her instead.”

Star was just staring at the dragoncycle pup for a few more seconds before her eyes and cheek marks lit up and she squealed so loud that dogs within 5 miles were all reeling.

“You are so adorable!” She was squeezing Nacho against her chest like she was trying to crush her. Star then turned to Marco. “Can we bring her home?”

Marco just shook his head. “Bad idea. Thinks of all the problems of the laser puppies, but magnify them by 10. That is what Nacho’s is like. She should stay in the Neverzone where her flying around and fire breath is less of a problem.”

He then turned to Hekapoo. “Can you take care of Nacho’s for me while I’m gone?”

Hekapoo just smiled at him. “She’s in good hands.”

Marco then bent down and took Nacho from Star’s hands and kissed her on her head. “Adios, boo-boo.”

Marco then set her down in Hekapoo’s waiting arms. He then stood up and faced her.

“Well, old friend, you gave me a run for my money.”

“Likewise, all $650 of it.”

She then slapped the back of his head. “You’re pretty cool.”

Marco just rubbed the burned bald patch on his head. “Thanks.”

He then went over to Star and used his scissors to make a portal next to Star that would drop them back into his room.

“Bye.”

“Later, H-poo.”

Both Star and Marco walked through the portal.

In Star’s Room

Star jumped into her room and heard Marco land behind her. Strangely, he grunted in his 14-year-old voice instead of the deeper one from the Neverzone. When she turned around to look at him, she saw a 14-year-old Marco in his Neverzone clothes.

“No! My hot bod! Where did it go?”

Heckapoo then poked her head through the portal. “Oh, I forgot to mention this. The effect of making time go faster in the Neverzone while you were doing the challenge also causes your age to revert to what it was when you first entered the zone.”

She then grew an annoyed expression. “And don’t call me H-Poo!”

She then went back through the portal and closed it behind her.

Given that Ponyhead was the one who stole the scissors, she should have been the one to get in trouble. And since Marco doesn’t like her, likes Star, and is honest, it would make sense for him to tell Hekapoo about where the scissors came from.

As for Hekapoo, I decided to expand her responsibilities to be all interdimensional magic. The compacts, the scissors, the crystal ball Omni uses for talking, and anything used to travel or communicate between worlds are under her domain. She can also prevent people from using them, but long-term ones require a trial.

As for the scissors, I decided to make it so there are multiple different types. There are disposable ones that only work 10ish times, low-power ones that only work between 2 dimensions specified when making them, and even ones that are essentially Portal Guns from Portal. The more powerful they are, the more expensive and difficult they are to get. Some can be bought in Quest Buy, while the more advanced ones have to go through one of Hekapoo’s trials.

As for turning the 16 years to 16 months, that was to get rid of the issues that did to Starco and Marco not going through any of the issues that he should have gone through. The time dilations being turned on or off by Hekapoo was added to explain why the Neverzone is the only place that does this. Hekapoo’s clones being lower quality was just made up to explain how Marco could get through the trial quicker. Okay, I have to confess that one thing I find really weird in the SVTFOE fandom is the fact that there’s apparently multiple stories with the basic premise of Hekapoo having Marco’s baby? It’s not even an issue with the pairing, honestly, but just a question of...logistics?

Like, I can’t see any reason why Glossaryck would give any of the MHC the ability to reproduce? He already clearly hates the MHC, who are effectively his children, why would he want to make it so he could have grandchildren?

And they’re all pretty much completely immortal (besides Lekmet who was basically “designed” to die), being unable to die of old age or even be killed by outside forces outside of very powerful magic and even then, they can only die permanently if Magic as a whole is destroyed or corrupted to the point where it just doesn’t work anymore; neither of would be likely to happen. And so there’s no reason why they’d be able to have biological children so they’d have someone to take over if/when they died permanently (and even if they did, unless Glossaryck was dead as well, he’d probably just make a new version to replace them, if he felt it was necessary).

I’m not even going to go into the whole Neverzone vs other Dimensions age difference thing. But, yeah, the main logical issue for me is just the fact that I don’t see Hekapoo being able to have kids...or wanting them, if I’m honest. Like, nobody can even try to tell me she’d have any part in raising a kid unless she absolutely felt she had to, like with Festivia. And even with Festivia, we don’t know how much Hekapoo actually was involved in the childcare aspects; chances are likely servants and nannies handled that, and the MHC were just there to deal with the political aspects.

How we feeling about the possibility of Spicynoodles being canon?

I mean, come on. The chemistry is THERE, everyone sees it, even an artist working on the show said they'd be great together. And I know with them being canon brings a lot of questions and maybe problems. Like the question of if the voice actors would even accept playing LGBTQ+ characters in the first place. The answer I found, is yes, they would totally play LGBTQ+ characters. Both of the voice actors for MK and Red son have played in other media that features LGBTQ+ rep, (though some were in spinoffs) so I don't think that would be a problem. Another possible problem is that with them being canon, people will hate the show or start bashing it because it suddenly features romance. I agree that romance doesn't have to be in every price of media, I mean, monkie kid so far has done amazingly and has been extremely enjoyable without the romance (we just live with any little interactions between the characters that SEEM romantic) but romance could up some stakes in the series and even bring more ANGST (cause Lord knows the LMK fandom loves their angst, the show itself it just ANGST). Plus, it wouldn't be forced in any way because MK and Red son have bonded so much already and possibly already like each other. All we need is one little moment or a full confession scene or SOMETHING from the creators/directors, producers, or even any more of the artists hopping on board with it to help it become canon. Though honesty, I don't think it will because as I've said before, romance is not the focus of the series (don't want a SVTFOE situation or possibly a...Voltron situation) so romance could make people mad and stop liking the show, and none of us want that. But I believe the team knows what they're doing with the writing and such and will know how to impliment a good romance if need be. But I seriously hope with my whole heart that we get just a smidge of Spicynoodles, even if they get together off screen (like Lyra and BonBon in MLP) I would be so content cause I'd know they are together and happy. With the season 3 special and season 4 (hopefully) coming, I hope we get more Spicynoodles content or confirmation. I believe it's possible if we just let them know how much we love them! (Though they probably already know. Wow I talk in parentheses a lot,sorry) But don't tweet at them or anything or bother them about it, that's bad! We don't want to become toxic and ruin the show and fandom for people! Just keep doing what you're doing and make that sweet Spicynoodles content for everyone to love and enjoy.

Let’s get this straight : I have very high standards.

I’ve seen enough « heartbreaking » scenes in animation to know which ones feel forced, and which ones don’t.

In my opinion, a good heartbreaking scene doesn’t have to last long, or be a season climax, or take the entire focus of the show to make it seem important and dramatic. In any case, I would be more struck with a scene that would make a terrifying event seem more « casual ». For instance, take the episode « Scary-oke » from Gravity Falls. During the episode, Dipper raises an army of zombies, and panic rises - not only for the characters, but for the audience. The twins look for a way to fight the monsters, but the more they try, the less options they have left. Even Soos, their greatest ally in this situation, « dies » in front of them. They are all alone, the house is being torn down by the zombies, they already broke the lights, then the walls fall, and the door, and suddenly they are surrounded. Dipper says how this is all his fault and now they are defenceless, and suddenly a zombie grabs him by the arm. Dipper’s last words before he (almost) gets bitten are « Mabel, I’m sorry ! », and then his sister screams his name with horror. And then Stan beats the monster up.

The thing with this scene is, it was small. You might not even call it a heartbreaking scene, because we are used to everything in modern cartoons focusing on the « big scene » for a few minutes to make you feel for the characters. If you don’t pay attention watching the episode, you almost can’t hear Dipper’s sentence, and in my eyes that makes it even better. I don’t quite know how to explain it, but scenes like this one have more impact on me when I’m invested in the scene myself, not when the show makes everything it can to make me feel the moment. When they go out of their way to make it look tragic, and the dead (or almost dead) character says that they were bad and now they’re good thanks to the good guy they just saved, and then they let out their last breath, I don’t feel a thing. But when they just show you this scene quick, and there is a moment of silence, it gives the person watching time to process what just happened and realise how bad things are on their own.

As another example, I could mention the moment Star fled back to Mewni in svtfoe. Star confesses to Marco because she absolutely had to get it off her chest, then immediately runs away. Marco runs after her, but you can’t even see her go through the portal : when Marco opens her room, it’s already getting back to normal. He just stands there, only being able to say « Star… ? » before remaining speechless, in this now terribly empty room, and even the end credits remain silent. You can also see Star’s tower in the house is gone. It’s like she was never here. And it gives you a punch in the stomach. No need for kisses or speeches. Just pure… nothing.

Now, if you’re still reading this : first of all, you are probably the kind of person who listens to asmr to go to sleep. And second of all, don’t worry, this post is not just me complaining about my taste in cartoons. I just wanted to clarify how I see things before I mention this scene.

As you might have guessed it : this scene hits hard.

And it’s not difficult to see why. How can you look at Molly’s terrified face, usually bursting with excitement, and not want to immediately pry them out of this situation ? It’s even worse when you know she has no idea what any of this means, or even why they would do this to her and Scratch, and when you realise she is only thirteen. Sent away forever for being happy and having a best friend. How messed up is that ?

And Scratch knows this. He knows how terrible all of this is, but the difference is, he’s come to accept it. The only regret he has is that his best friend is sent away with him. And in that last moment they have, he tells her the truth, the only thing that comes in his mind. Not the fact that they are about to disappear forever, but the fact that meeting Molly was the best thing that happened to him. He clarifies, because he doesn’t want this to sound like it doesn’t come from the bottom of his heart : knowing Molly wasn’t just « nice », but the « highlight of his afterlife ». He takes her hand to make her understand that he means it. He is looking right at her, with an apologetic but sincere expression. And Molly gives him back his smile and takes his hand as to silently reciprocate his words. And they let go, lost, but together.

This is a great scene. The characters say exactly how they feel, and it comes naturally, without overdoing it. You know scenes like this are good when you can tell what each character is thinking just by their expression, no matter the characters talking, no matter the location, no matter the circumstances. They don’t need to say what they are feeling : you know it yourself. And of course, the (gorgeous) animation does an amazing job at this.

Okay hi hello last week i finished svtfoe

Its rant time 👀

I didn't expect to write out my thoughts after each season anywhere but here we are i guess and now i can finally say i watched svtfoe in full!

So season 4

It was mid.

Okay theres more to that obviously, if it was just a season in the middle of the series it would be fine I enjoyed quite a few episodes but when it all comes together its just a complete mess

For me season 3 was the best and after such strong season this was just a disappointment honestly. I was wondering if Star lost her powers completely or what, so seeing her s4e01 using her magic completely fine without a wand was disappointing, like no learning no problems no nothing like i love you star but how tf did you learn that just outta nowhere

Other thing that seems to be completely forgotten is u know descendants of our favorite mc-pie folk? Like i have no problem with that what i have problem with is River. For whole 2 or more episodes he hates on pie folk so much but when he finds out his wife actually comes from pie folk he immediately forgets about that. Like im glad their relationship is okay dont get me wrong but with him being so prejudiced and hateful one minute and then just completely ignoring that is just ooc imo.

There's so much filler or irrelevant stuff happening that I had to look back at list of episodes to remind myself what was even happening

I liked Star being canonically attracted to women in episode I completely forgot about (ransomgram) so thats sth I guess

I really really enjoyed Stars and Toms relationship, maybe its my preference for Tomstar instead of Starco but I just find them so much nicer together. Despite that I also dont mind their eventual break up. I dont like that its so plainly just for Starco purposes its annoying but besides that I would love if their break up did lead up to development for them both. I feel like Tom was completely disregarded at the end of the season and it just bothered me a lot. I love how he grew throughout the series and I grew to like him a lot more than I initially did (which u know I liked him from the beginning anyway) and I love how much he cared for Star. It would be great if after the break up Star also could learn and like she wanted to try to find out who she is outside being "magical princess" that would be so great to see! but u know instead we got Starco :|

and now for Marco. I liked what he had going on w Kelly I thought it was cute u know? being breakup buddies thats adorable! and I didnt even mind blood moon curse I think it would be an okay closure for Starco and even then I feel like Marco and Star would be great platonic soulmates, instead of going w u know expected romance and stuff. Cause sure they have a strong bond I just feel like the romance part is bs, especially the confession scene I am sorry it was so bad. I dont mind Starco mind you but if I was keeping up w it at the time and 4 seasons of waiting led up to that I would be angry. I still am despite basically binging it, its just so weak I cant. The whole "I liked you from the start" no you didnt u liked Jackie (also good on her for getting french gf what a girlboss) and Star had a crush on Oskar and probably some other boys idk. It only got weird when Star started to have feelings for Marco while he was still obviously into Jackie, either way it was bad. Actually just now I read the synopsis the time they got feelings for each other was apparently blood moon ball? what? Star was charmed before she realized its Marco okay? and Marco idk didnt trust Tom and wanted to help Star which valid Tom had issues in s1 dskjds

I love Eclipsa so much I think she is my favorite character honestly. and her relationship w Globgor is just everything? Theyre so perfect and sweet and great w each other I want to have what they have ;-; She was so ready to do anything for him and vice versa and while reading some comments I kinda figured out how it feels so dear to me. Ik its interaccial or interspecies relationship so the metaphor isnt perfect but it feels so inherently queer. While being queer myself just seeing them care so much for each other while being ostracized by everyone around hits a bit close to home haha but yeah its amazing. and both of them separately are great too. While ik we only got few minutes of Globgor actually on screen I just liked him every second (and also it was funny to realize the guy from Jane the virgin dubs him pfpfpf) and Eclipsa is amazing too doing everything just to keep her family safe it was great.

okay few more things

I hate how Marco was literally stabbed but it didnt mean shit like at all. Its Stars wand all over again and it bothers me. Like sure it would suck if he died but also dont stab him then?

And I think I dont have to say this but ending is so bad. Like yeah ig the magic dimension when poofing out of existence could connect mewni and earth together but why only earth and mewni and also how did Star and Marco escape magic dimension??? again no consequences to their actions or not really anyway smh

and I havent even touched on magic or world building but thats gonna be another long post tee hee

Either overall I liked svtfoe quite a lot despite its problems and now I just wanna make cosplays and stuff haha
