ok the original credits for the headshot adopt I got was from my friend Commix on Amino but I designed the fullbody, and the brother all on my own!

Whenever he tries being nice, he gets overwhelmed and frustrated and just blurts out an insult instead out of anger,, so he has a lot more enemies than he does friends🧍

Also he got the scars on his eye in an accident, which ahem ahem, may add to his lore, idk yet

Next up is his brother! Spice!

Spice works as a Scientist for the queen alongside Undyne, and he wears his comically large glasses fr both eye health purposes, aswell as funny haha reasons.

He often calls his brother 'Jerkwad' or 'Ankle biter' while Pumpkin calls him 'Slacker.'

He has an alternate outfit which is a royal labcoat!

unlike his brother, he is pretty welll-liked, but he is to lazy to care.

But yeah! This little au i have with Pumpkin and Spice is just starting I may design the other characters when im feeling better.

Skelly gets called baby girl by s/o

Undertale Sans - He really doesn't mind. Everyone should be a baby girl once in their life. He watched the Barbie movie so he knows everyone can be Barbie if they can. In fact, he wants to be Barbie right now. He takes off his jacket revealing a pretty bright pink dress underneath. He grabs a blond hair wig and sunglasses and he's leaving the house like that to parade in the streets. You're speechless.

Undertale Papyrus - Oh, he doesn't mind either. All he can hear is that you think he's cute and that's enough for him. After all, he is a pretty nice-looking baby girl and everyone should be jealous of the attention you're giving to him.

Underswap Sans - He growls at you to show his displeasure but you can't be fooled. He's blushing, which means he actually likes that even if he's trying really hard to hide it. You didn't know Blue is a tsundere, you learn something new every day.

Underswap Papyrus - His face turns bright orange as he slowly melts into the couch. He doesn't care about the nickname, except when there are people around, like now. He's so embarrassed now, trying to hide as everyone is chuckling. It's going to take some time for him to recover lol.

Underfell Sans - The first few times, he rolled his eyes at you, but now he barely reacts to it like "baby girl" is actually his second name. You even saw him look behind him as a random woman showed off her actual baby girl to some stranger, confused it wasn't you who called him.

Underfell Papyrus - He gasps, offended. He's not baby girl material, how dare you?! He's pouting in a corner and won't stop before you apologize to him. You say you're sorry for calling him baby girl even if you think he's a really pretty baby girl pouting like this in his corner. He gasps even more loudly and leaves the room, arms crossed. Seconds later, you can hear edgy metal music coming from his room as he pouts like a teenager in his bed lol.

Horrortale Sans - You can call him whatever you want as long as you stay in his arms for cuddles. He simply purrs a little louder when you call him a pet name. He really doesn't care. He has quite a list of cute nicknames for you too anyway.

Horrortale Papyrus - He turns bright red, embarrassed, and shy. Stop it. He's not that cute, you're just trying to flatter him. And that's working very well actually. Look at him panicking and not remembering what he was doing because you completely distracted him from whatever he was doing.

Swapfell Sans - He keeps a brave face and completely ignores you. Or try to. His face is bright purple as he's trying all he can to pretend he's reading his damn newspapers and that the nickname had absolutely no effect on him. He thinks he's doing a great job (no, he doesn't).

Swapfell Papyrus - Only if he can call you back sexy fartmaster instead. Rus really doesn't mind and will call you out in front of his brother (who wants to be everywhere but there to listen to this bullshit) or even in front of the Queen both because it embarrasses you and it makes her mad. You started the game, now cry.

Fellswap Gold Sans - Well, he feels more girl than boy today so why the hell not. He can be your baby girl for the day, that's the wonder with him changing his gender when he feels like it. He's a beautiful baby girl after all. Actually, it boosted him to go wear one of his dresses today. It had been too long since he wore one.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Here he is, all shy and half-hiding behind the couch because he can't look you in the eyes anymore. He really likes the nickname, but it makes him flush every time and then he can't do anything with his body anymore because he can feel your eyes on him at all time.

Meet the Royals!!

Asgore: He's a stern intelligent and loyal ruler when on the job, and a soft gentle giant when off. Asgore reigns as the main king of ebott and his main job is to keep the other royals in line, approve new princes and government officials, and acts as the tie breaker for any laws being passed or taken down. He since had gotten back with his soulmate toriel after the crash, and they recently had a child, Lior.

things he loves: goldenflower tea, gardening shows, tea packets, the color gold, golf, tropical shirts

Toriel: she is a warm witty and caring monster. currently toriel runs the orphanage in ebott city although she does join the royals when important issues pop up. When working with the other royals, she has very little patience and is quite strict, but is gentle with the children. She has since gotten back with her soulmate asgore and they had a child, lior.

things she loves: the color purple, snail pie, children, puns, fancy soaps and conditioners

Winter: underswap Toriel, she is second in line behind asgore on the line of royals, and she normally handles building safety regulations. Winter is cold and a lady of few words when you first meet her, but in reality, she's terribly shy. With people she trusts and likes, she's warm, affectionate and chatty. She is separated from her ex husband plum, but they still have a friendly relationship.

things she loves: the color sky blue, swans and geese, echo flower tea, feather quills, steamy vampire romance novels

Plum: underswap asgore, he works under winter in building regulations and helps put together funds for new roads and bridges. Plum is a flighty and easily distracted monster, but he does do a good job on his work as long as he's reminded lol. he is separated from his ex wife winter, but they still have a friendly relationship.

things he loves: the color lilac, plums of course, pickleball, marathon running, novelty candies

King: underfell asgore, he is third in line in the lineup of royals after winter. King is head of the royal guard and delegates where the troops are stationed (when something calls for large numbers of guards) as well as deciding the requirements to join the guard. King is an intimidating figure, but once you get to know him, he's actually pretty silly and playful. he loves to tease. He's very happy to be separated from summer.

Things he loves: the color scarlet, antique rings, weightlifting, cats, dueling

Summer: underfell toriel, she oversees the standards of ebotts education system at the elementary level. Spring is a very stern and dry monster who takes the rules of polite company very seriously. she is closest with toriel and miss. she's VERY happy to be separated from king.

things she loves: the color orange, sudoku, silk gloves, polite children, fancy notebooks

Spring: swapfell toriel, she is the second main diplomat behind empress and plays the "good cop" when they work together. Spring is a total snake and does a wonderful job playing a bubbly airhead to make others underestimate her. she is energetic, but is in no way unintelligent. she's extremely loyal to her best friend empress. she is happily separated from tatters.

things she loves: the color purple, cherry blossoms, conspiracy theories, velvet dresses

Tatters: swapfell Asgore, he mainly works with funding of the police in ebott. Tatters is a very blunt and straightforward monster who can’t lie if his life depended on it. He’s easily irritated, but loyal to those he likes. He misses spring sometimes but recognizes they weren’t good for each other.

Things he loves: the color orange, apple flavored drinks, tapestry jackets, smoking pot, playing dominoes

Miss: horrortale toriel. While she is still considered a royal, she’s not actively on the board unless it’s an emergency. Miss lives at and helps out at toriels orphanage. She is a tired and quiet but gentle and caring monster. On her good days she’s quite witty.

Things she loves: the color purple, snail pie, children, crochet, puns

Empress: fellswap gold toriel, she is the main diplomat of ebott, and does good at playing the “bad cop” when she works with spring. Empress is extremely skilled at what she does. Empress is a cold, petty and sometimes cruel monster, but is also loyal, believes in rewards as incentive and pays her subjects well. She respects those who she considers deserving of it. She is currently soulbonded to her human husband but prefers his identity stay secret for privacy’s sake. She hates ivory.

Things she loves: blacksmithing, the color gold, small children, fancy swords and armor, strawberry shortcake

Ivory: fellswap gold Asgore, he is the record-keeper of the royals and is in charge ip updating ebotts current history in the books. Ivory is a nervous wreck of a monster and HATES crowds. So he’s known as the hardest royal to meet. Frankly many don’t believe he’s a fell monster as he seems much too soft for it. He hates empress

Things he loves: the color white, history books, pine scented candles, thunderstorms, plum pudding

Medusa: fellswap red toriel, she works with the navy of ebott in ship and weapons regulations. Medusa is a tired yet playful monster. She had an extremely difficult time in her old au due to noble monsters constantly starting rebellions and is happy for a bit of peace in ebott. She is still soulmates with snapper.

Things she loves: snapper, the color pink, her 12 pet snakes, watching the crocodile man on tv, swimming

Snapper: fellswap red Asgore, he determines what maximum jail time and fines are appropriate for different crimes. Snapper is a total busybody, always needing something to do or else he goes stir crazy. The only one he can relax around is his darling Medusa who he’s soulbonded to.

Things he loves: Medusa, the color pink, his 4 pet piranhas, swimming, watching duck dynasty

Eros: underlust Asgore, he is the representative of the farm monsters and handles farming and pesticide regulations. Eros is a kind, sweet and a tad shy ruler. He actually never took the lust serum, and when the board of rulers was formed, gave his title of the lust representative to his best friend charity.

Things he loves: the color powder blue, scenic paintings, pottery, livestock animals, potatoes

Charity: the main representatives of the lust monsters and in charge of ebotts welfare system. Charity is a generous and caring monster, and was Eros’ best friend and advisor before the crash. She loves her job and people.

Things she loves: the color white, fire pits, s’mores, ribbon dancing, pink lemonade

Satin: lustswap toriel, she determines the age ratings of ebotts entertainment and works closely with the mettas keeping them in line. Satin is a total party girl, very extroverted and full of energy. She’s been voted the most popular royal three years in a row once. She is in an open marriage with velvet

Things she loves: the color lime green, pole and arial dancing, gymnastics, theatre, musicals

Velvet: lustswap Asgore, he handles the requirements for reviving citizenship in ebott. Velvet is a very relaxed go with the flow kind of guy. He tends to overshare in conversations but his friendly demeanor keeps people listening lol. He’s in an open marriage with satin.

Things he loves: the color flamingo pink, ethnic foods, mariachi music, musicals, pole dancing

Vamp: he decides what foreign companies are allowed to do business in ebott. Vamp is a beast in the streets when it comes to business deals, and a beast in the sheets when it comes to dutchess and their five other mates they share together. He and dutchess are the only royals to have a living asriel from before the crash, along with two other children.

Things he loves: his soulmates, his sons, the color black, silk bedsheets, fancy three piece suits

Duchess: lustfell toriel, she barters with zeus over the royals budget and what projects they’ll fund. All the planners have to get the ok from her first before continuing. Duchess is very stubborn when it comes to the royal budget, but is quite the spoiler when it comes to her family lol. She adores her five mates and vamp as well as their three children.

Things she loves: her soulmates, her sons, the color silver, pearls, fancy tea parties

Zeus: outertale Asgore, he is the treasurer of the royals and is amazing with numbers. Zeus is playful, a total flirt and has very refined tastes in what he likes to chase after ;). Unlike the other royals, he and Hestia were born brother and sister so obviously no romantic relationship.

Things he loves: the color emerald, pretty humans and monsters, grape soda, leather jackets, motorcycles

Hestia: outertale toriel, she handles the taxes of ebott. Hestia is a calm and peaceful monster. It’s quite amazing how she keeps her cool despite the chaos of the other royals. Very dignified. Unlike the other royals, she and zeus were born sister and brother so obviously no romantic relationship.

Things she loves: the color grey, vintage lace, fancy cars, sunglasses, photography

Venice: dancetale Asgore, he oversees funding the arts in ebott, mainly centers of entertainment like stages. Venice is a refined and gentlemanly fellow. He’s known for being pretty easy to work with and is a big help keeping the peace with the other royals. He and swan are separated but consider each other best friends.

Things he loves: the color yellow, dancing of course, velvet chairs, his cane, binoculars

Swan: she heads the arts department of education for ebott’s colleges. Swan is a regal elegant lady with an open mind and love for all forms of art. She can be picky, but is reasonable most of the time. She and Venice are separated but consider each other best friends.

Things she loves: the color silver, ballet, the opera, dancing obviously, patterned ribbons

Scope: gastertale Asgore, he heads ebotts medical research. Scope has only one love in his life, and that is science! Thankfully he takes his job as ruler seriously, but if the world was perfect, he’d be trapped in a lab the rest of his days. To fulfill the requirement of a second ruler for his people, he appointed his most intelligent apprentice, silk, as his second.

Things he loves: SCIENCE, oh and the color blue sometimes

Silk: gastertale toriel, she created the undernet that ebott uses today, and is both second in command of ebotts medical research and scopes “handler”. She takes great care to make sure her friend and “boss” doesn’t die of starvation when he’s on the cusp of a breakthrough. Silk is a no nonsense kind of monster with a rather dry sense of humor. She’s lovely to be around if you follow the rules

Things she loves: the color black, the undernet, scope and his team of scientists, the researchers of genetic disorders, water bears

Founder: nomadtale Asgore, he oversees ebotts national forest and the dam inside of it. Founder is a calm and gentle monster, he’s just happy to be here in a safe place where his people can prosper. He doesn’t understand smart phones. Founder is happily soulbonded to fey.

Things he loves: fey, the color cream, pine trees, the birds of the forest, swimming

Fey: nomadtale toriel, she oversees the forest with founder and regulates how much logging is allowed in it. Fey is stern but caring, and will put her foot down when founder is too easiky swayed. She understands smart phones but doesn’t like them. She is happily soulbonded to founder.

Things she loves: founder, the color pine green, wild forage, fishing, identifying clouds

Poseidon: seafell Asgore, he’s in charge of the navy, where they patrol and what they do with captured boats. Poseidon is a temperamental and harsh monster, but a good lover to his many SOs. He’s father to three children, only one is recognized as legitimate. He is unhappily separated from Salacia and wants her back

Things he loves: the color coral, sharks, guns, steak, ivory carvings

Salacia: seafell toriel, she handles fishing regulations for ebotts sea. She is a snippy and aggressive monster who takes no one’s sh*t. She has a dark sense of humor. After being cheated on many times by Poseidon, she fathered an illegitimate child herself. She doesn’t want anything to do with him

Things she loves: the color blood red, fishing harpoons, sailboats, romantic walks along the beach, murder podcasts

Lulworth: seatale Asgore, he monitors the politics around the costal cities and the factories there. Lulworth is a total nerd, and a tiny bit of a hoarder. He can’t help it, there’s just so many neat things on the surface to collect! He is separated from lapis but they have a good friendship

Things he loves: the color Ruby red, baseball cards, cool brooches and buttons, anime and cartoon figurines, glass eggs

Lapis: seatale toriel, she decides what cars are allowed to be sold in ebott and road safety regulations. Lapis is a playful and bubbly monster who adores the colors of life! She has quite the eye for art. She is separated from Lulworth but they still have a good friendship

Things she loves: watercolor postcards, the color canary yellow, floral arrangements, maximalist decor, goofy socks

Orca: seaswap Asgore, SAVE THE TURTLES- ahem, sorry, he is in charge of ocean wildlife conservation acts as well as keeping ebotts coastline clean of trash. Orca is a HUGE animal lover and is very passionate about his job. Many say he has a beautiful singing voice too. He and seahorse were ruling partners but were never romantically involved

Things he loves: THE TURTLES, sea turtle green, those tacky dolphin lamps, glass and reusable water bottles, boba tea

Seahorse: seaswap toriel, she funds and plans festivals! She was the first royal to suggest the golden festival and is trying to push for an official gyftmas parade like the humans do for their Christmas. Seahorse adores culture and celebration and believes the way to a happy people is a people allowed to appreciate the beauty of every season. She was ruling partners with orca but they were never romantically involved.

Things she loves: the color navy, every and all holidays, ornate woven grass rugs, her pet seahorse, rubies

Thunderstorm: birdtale Asgore, like Eros, he also stepped down as the bird monsters representative to step up as a representative of the farm monsters. Thunderstorm handles the sale and distribution of land to be used as farmland. He’s a cutie patootie. Just a sweet guy. Every one likes thunderstorm, if you don’t, you just don’t like nice people. He is extremely in love with his soulmate snowfall.

Things he loves: snowfall, the mountains of ebott, the color pale lilac, fine wines, sewing

Snowfall: she maintains and regulates the dumps of ebott and the recycling of trash. Snowfall is an honorable monster who isn’t afraid to do the jobs that others look down on. She’s incredibly compassionate and treats every one with respect regardless of who they are. She is deeply in love with her soulmate thunderstorm.

Things she loves: thunderstorm, the color grey-blue, art made of recycled materials, poetry, mourning lilies

Gallery: theatretale Asgore, he’s the supreme judge of ebotts court when a case gets high enough to reach him. Gallery is a fair and honorable monster, known for being ruled by facts over emotional responses. He is very polite and pleasant to work with. He and melody have a respectful relationship although they aren’t in love. Neither feel a need to search for a real romantic partner at the moment.

Things he loves: the color sage green, antique furniture, soccer, salads, the opera

Melody: theatretale toriel, she handles student scholarships for ebotts art schools as well as finding and lifting up promising new actors and artists. Melody is a flamboyant and loud monster with a love for life and music. She has a stunning high singing voice and has done a few opera roles herself. She and gallery have a respectful relationship although they aren’t in love. Neither feel a need to search for a real romantic partner at the moment.

Things she loves: the color wine, the opera, marble statues, teenagers, the comedy club.

Hercules: outerfell Asgore, he stepped down as a ruler of the outer monsters to represent factory monsters. He deals with workers rights and working conditions of the factories in ebott. Hercules is a strong fellow with a kind heart. He is harsh, but loyal and reasonable when he needs to be. He is separated from nebula but greatly respects her still.

Things he loves: the color black, Van Gogh art, metalwork, spam, sparring

Nebula: outerfell toriel, she’s in charge of ebotts small but growing air force. Nebula is a stern and unmoving monster. She has high standards for her work and hates failure. She however is also passionate about what she does and has high rewards for those who succeed. She is separated from Hercules but still has a great deal of respect for him.

Things she loves: the color sky blue, model airplanes, the shooting range, perfect posture, pickles

Saturn: outerswap toriel, she is set aside as an impartial judge for whenever government officials are put on trial. Saturn is a cool and very straight forward monster who HATES liars. Nobody wants to piss her off, her (totally legal) revenges are legendary. Like Zeus and Hestia, she and mars were born brother and sister.

Things she loves: the color orange, Roman mythology, pasta, her two terriers, lacrosse

Mars: ousterswap asgore, he handles the conditions of ebotts jails. He is a compassionate but strict monster, the perfect man for the job. He is a bit of a tease when it comes to the other royals and is the only one who can mess with his sister Saturn without repercussions.

Things he loves: the color rust red, Saturns terriers, monopoly and other ridiculously long board games, alien movies, doc martins

Fafnir: Draketale Asgore, he grants business loans using the royals budget with permission from duchess and zeus. Fafnir is a playful and gentle monster and a doting great grandfather to his children’s families, and an even more doting mate to Delphyne

Things he loves: Delphyne and his family, the color coffee brown, coffee, his grandkids art projects, baseball

Delphyne: she handles the language side of ebotts colleges working with several departments such as creative writing, foreign languages and reporting. Delphyne is the picture of elegance with a gentle dignified demeanor and a sweet personality. She’s a doting great grandmother and deeply in love with Fafnir

Things she loves: Fafnir and her family, fables, play scripts, the color moss green, slippers

Cupid: Lustswapfell Asgore, he handles propaganda and news station standards. He’s an extremely finicky and nit picky monster, which is great for his job, but bad for anyone working under him lol. The only creatures he’s truly nice to are anything toddler aged and under. He says he likes their honesty. He’s hard to please. He is happily separated from valentine.

Things he loves: the color indigo, morning glories, toddlers, visiting the library, his massive stamp collection

Valentine: she deals with insurance policy regulations in ebott. Valentines is as snobby as Cupid is picky. She hates dirt and grime and requires her working conditions to be spotless. She does love a good bout of gossip once in a while. For some reason, she and ivory are best friends. No one understands it. She is happily separated from Cupid.

Things she loves: the color peach, cheesy sitcoms, gossip magazines, spreading fake rumors to gossip magazines, ivory

Rhea: lustgold toriel, she handles the exports of ebott, making sure things are in good condition before being sold off. She’s a shrewd business woman who won’t rest till she gets the best possible deal. Tiras isn’t bothered by others attention but always seems flustered by Rhea. She’s the only one who can catch him off guard~

Things he loves: Rhea, the color gold, crochet and knitted clothing, fancy cheeses, … the lingerie Rhea picks for him~

Desire: lustred toriel, she is currently leading the battle against the human and monster trafficking in ebott. She is a vengeful and temperamental monster who can hold a grudge for scary long periods of time. She loves her people and will crush anyone who puts them in danger. Her most trusted advisor and friend is devotion. Their relationship is purely platonic.

Things she loves: the color blood, self defense weapons, teaching self defense classes, polite children, stained glass windows

Devotion: lustred Asgore, he leads the research in fertility among monsters, something he’s rather passionate about due to being born infertile himself. Devotion is aloof but gentle, only close with a small handful of people in his life, the most notable being desire. He’s been in love with her for years but knows she doesn’t feel the same.

Things he loves: desire, the color hot pink, children, frozen yogurt, taking self defense classes

Idun: drakeswap toriel, she works with scopes medical team in researching the disease dimming. She’s an intelligent and brave monster, and a big romantic. She adores her soulmate and wife, eir, a skeleton monster. She rules alongside her brother tyr.

Things she loves: eir, her grandchildren, the color mint, exotic teas, medical equipment

Tyr: drakeswap Asgore, he handles Iduns paperwork and press conferences so she can focus more on her research. He also plays representative for other royals who want to avoid the public eye. He’s friendly and easy to talk to. The public adores him for being “relatable”.

Things he loves: the color bubblegum, public speaking, dad jokes, sunbathing, beard care

Jigsaw: baubletale Asgore, he is also on the medical team researching cures and treatment for LV sickness. He is a frail but incredibly kind and compassionate monster. His bad health means that he’s out of duty quite a bit, but when he is in office, he gets plenty done. His best friend and advisor is marionette. They have joint custody of their cat, puppet

Things he loves: the color salmon, paint by numbers kits, jigsaw puzzles, redemption stories, kittens

Marionette: baubletale toriel, she works with immigration and immigrant rights. She’s a compassionate and happy monster who believes the best society is one that embraces all cultures. So she has a lot of love for the humans in ebott. Jigsaw is her best friend. They have joint custody of their cat, puppet.

Things she loves: the color royal purple, human culture, tshirts with goofy sayings, playing the clarinet, cats

Titanic: Hadaltale Asgore, he is busy making the rest of ebott more accessible to the hadal monsters. Titanic is a curious and passionate monster with a deep love for his people and family. Especially his mates Olympia and voyager.

Things he loves: Olympia and voyager, the color bright yellow, sparring, exploring the surface, sea lions

Olympia: Hadaltale toriel, she has the same job as titanic in uniting the hadal monsters wigj every one else on the surface. She’s the more cautious of the two, taking care to make sure the hadal people are getting the best possible deal. She’s a proud and affectionate monster, and a great lover to titanic and voyager.

Things she loves: titanic and voyager, the color white, sparring, stone carvings, cuttlefish

Cheesecake: flavortale Asgore, he deals with food regulations. Cheesecake just recently took the place of his now retired father mordac, and is still a bit nervous about his job. He is the youngest royal after all. The press nicknamed him cheesecake after a photo of him with cake in his beard was slipped to the public. He’s doing his best to be a good sport about it. The other royal is his aunt meringue.

Things he loves: the color aqua, all cake but cheesecake especially lol, baking, playing poker, tulips

Meringue: flavortale toriel, she handles cleanliness standards of food places and food sold and processed. She’s a jolly playful monster and mercilessly teases her nephew cheesecake and all the other royals. She’s quite close with the more serious ones as someone who never seems put off my their snappy moods.

Things she loves: the color pastel yellow, chickens, ice cream, pickleball, puns

Though there was the faintest streak of light blue on the eastern horizon, it was still gloomy in the camp. A few stubborn stars remained at the top of the sky- they refused to be chased out of their spots until the very traces of night were gone.

Illa was always amazed at how quiet the camp could be, so early in the morning. Through the whole day and even late into the evening, it felt like there was no end to the tasks that needed to be done- no end to the talking, drinking, gambling and fighting. A natural consequence of being surrounded by outlaws, she supposed.

... Yet now, in the darkness just before the sun broke over the hills... everybody was asleep. It was so quiet, as if not a single soul resided in that cluster of hastily pitched tents and flimsy wooden card-playing tables. 

She trudged through the silence, to a little ways out from camp, and a dead tree sitting a few feet from where the ground started to slope down toward the valley in the east- a canteen in one hand and a shawl across her shoulders. Flint had set up a small blanket across the dusty ground. 

She guided herself over to him via the dim light emanating from his lit cigarette. 

... He looked up, at the sound of her approaching. His eyelight, a deep royal purple, cut through the gloomy twilight like a needle.

“hey darlin’.” He said, as she sat. He didn’t waste any time in tucking his arm around her. His voice was low and raspy, a combination of the very early morning, and the numerous cigarettes he’d probably already smoked before she arrived. “glad you could make it.”

She wanted to make a comment about it being ‘too early’, but she knew he’d make fun of her for complaining about the sunrise being early. She leant against his shoulder. His presence was welcome.

“Have you been out here long?” She asked. She wanted to complain about the smell of his cigarettes... but ultimately, the desire to not make a fuss won over.

“nope.”

“Aren’t you cold?”

“not at all.”

Illa was cold. But... well, she didn’t mind. Considering how horrendously hot the midday could get, this far west, she did her best to savour the frosty nights.

A line of orange had now appeared, across the eastern horizon. The sunrise- the reason she got up so damn early. Though she was near-sighted, it didn’t really matter. The colours of the sunrise didn’t require perfect vision to enjoy.

“... didn’t know you enjoyed coffee.” He said. 

Illa glanced down at the canteen cradled in her lap. How did he know it was coffee? He was too perceptive for his own good.

“I... don’t actually enjoy it.” She admitted. “I don’t like the smell.”

Flint gave her a funny look. “... why drink it, then?”

“It’s the only way I’ll be able to stay awake later.”

“yer a strange one, darlin'. could i have some?”

“Don’t poison it.” She said, only half jokingly, passing it to him.

Time seemed to slip by strangely, at sunrise, she was aware of very little but the feeling of Flint's sleeve against her cheek and the way the light spread. Soft blues spread up, slowly creeping up and over their heads, finally snuffing out those final stubborn stars- the layer of orange on the horizon picked up a glow like one might see in the hot coals of a campfire.

So peaceful.

“... you don’t have to get up, later.” Flint said. She wasn’t sure why this particular topic had caught his attention so much. “could sleep in. i know i will.”

“I’m useless enough around camp without sleeping late.” She mumbled.

... He gave her another look. At least he seemed to find her funny today. “yer not useless.”

She took the coffee back, withholding the many sarcastic quips that rose to mind. As much as she liked Flint, and as much as she enjoyed their unofficial ‘relationship’... she really didn’t trust a single word that came out of his mouth. 

Nobody with half a brain would.

“i’m serious.”

“All I do is pick up the crappy lil’ odd jobs that nobody else wants to do.” The valley was visible now, shadows beginning to stretch long across the land. “I’m hardly essential.”

His voice was soft. “but if you didn’t pick up those jobs, nobody would. y’know little things pile up.”

“... Alright, what’s with all the buttering me up?” It was her turn to give him a look. “You want something?”

Flint’s grin lifted. Despite being much more suited to night, he still looked handsome, in the early glow. “dang, am i really that untrustworthy? can’t even try to make you feel better without there being some ulterior motive?”

She rolled her eyes, settling back against his shoulder.

If one didn’t know Flint, it was easy to get swept up in his charm. It was easy to look at the twinkle in his eyelight, the smile on his face, and think there was a special place in his heart for you. 

... But Illa knew him better than that. She’d seen the way his softness could disappear on command. She’d seen him deliberately sowing chaos, pitting people against one another for his own enjoyment. She’d seen him smile at someone like they were his closest friend in the world... then pour poison in their glass as soon as they turned.

He acted like he liked her. But he also often acted like he was too good for her... which left her very much doubtful of the former. She doubted he had much affection for anyone- why he played around with her, she had no idea. Perhaps she had something he wanted. Someone to toy with, someone nearby to flirt with. Perhaps there was some surface level attraction, or perhaps he just enjoyed the way she couldn’t help but get jealous when he gave attention to other women.

Illa couldn’t help but like him. And she couldn’t help being a people pleaser, doing what she could to keep him around. But... she was very much prepared for when he’d lose interest, and drop her like everyone else did.

She didn’t fool herself into thinking he liked her too.

“what’s a guy gotta do to convince you you’re useful?”

“Hush already.” She said, done with that particular subject. “I’m watching the sunrise.”

... Illa didn’t see the flicker across his face. He quickly covered it up.

“i love when yer mean to me.”

“Is that so?” The sky was almost entirely orange now, bathing them both in a golden glow. 

“proves you like me more than everyone else.” He flicked away some cigarette ash. “yer usually such a polite doormat.”

“... Charming.”

... The top of the sun finally broke the horizon. Illa immediately felt its warmth. Her favourite part of the sunrise was over, now, and she knew she now needed to start making peace with the day’s oncoming heat.

“I should get goin’.” She said, reluctantly pulling herself away from him, and to her feet. She took off her shawl, rolling it up into an easy-to-manage ball. “I got the feelin’ it’s gonna be pretty damn hot today.”

Flint gazed up at her. “... one day, darlin’, i’ll manage to getcha to stay with me for the whole sunrise.”

...

... In her head, Illa laughed in his face. “You really think I’m that gullible? You really think you can say a few romantic words to me, and fool me like all the rest of your collection of broken hearts? Give it up. I know better. Just because I wish you cared about me as much as I care about you, doesn’t mean I’m going to swoon right into your open jaws.”

... But in reality, she just smiled. Because that kind of thing was exactly what she wanted to hear.

“Sure. Maybe.”

How would the Underswap and Swapfell bros react to walking into the laundry room and finding their S/O almost stripped bare, about to toss the clothes they had on into the wash, then being embarassed that they were caught almost naked and going: "... I figured I could toss them in too."

Blue -Tells you it’s a great idea before pointing out you still need some more items of clothing to fill up the machine and beginning to strip himself. He’s acting like he’s trying to help but it’s obvious that he is also trying to get you excited so he can help in some other ways. 

Orange -Smirks and tells you to not mind him as he leans against the doorway, his eyelights scanning over you hungrily before asking if you are also going to throw in your underwear. He’s teasing of course although if you are up for it he's happy to bang you on the washing machine while you wait for your laundry to finish.

Berry -Thinks it’s very officiant and compliments you for thinking so smartly. Of course you notice the blush on his skull and how he is avoiding looking directly at you. He also seems overly jumpy, almost like he’s expecting something else. 

Syrup -Walks over to you silently. Staring at you the whole time as he throws whatever article you were holding into the machine and kicking it on before just kissing you. He asks if you’d like to do this here or if you want him to take you back to the room.

Undertale-

Sans: Winter. Reminds him of Snowdin! Also, perfect snugglin’ weather for this man. He likes to get fully bundled up like the kid from “A Christmas Story” just to lay down in the snow.

Papyrus: Summer, he loves sunny weather! This’ll sound boring, but he thoroughly enjoys beach days! His favorite parts have to be volleyball and grilling!

Underfell-

Red: Summer, but mainly for thunderstorms. He thinks it’s perfect lazy day weather, and he’s right! Whether it be video games, movie day, napping, or ignoring Edge when he comes pounding on his door! It’s the perfect weather for him.

Edge: Summer. Don’t know how he isn’t dying in his full black attire and heels. He wouldn’t admit it but he likes summer because then he likes to take Doomfanger for walks, pretty sweet tbh.

Underswap-

Blue: Winter, he LOVES all winter activities! His favorite thing ever is getting hot cocoa right after being outside for hours making snowmen and snow angels!

Stretch: Autumn! Mf’s a menace and will jump into a freshly made pile of leaves and they’ll go FLYING. Also, he doesn’t really like humidity of the other weathers and he just enjoys the middle of the board.

Swapfell-

Nox: Spring. It allows him to wear his jacket but won’t be horrible if he doesn’t. Plus, more chances for outside events during this time! Even vacations to other places won’t be crunched due to time!

Rus: Winter. It’s just his excuse for not wanting to go outside. He especially likes it when it gets exceptionally cold out so he can bundle up in his room and take naps for DAYSSSS.

Horrortale-

Ash: Spring, he doesn’t really like it when it’s overly hot or cold. Plus, the spring brings the best weather for his garden and flowers! It brings a lil’ smile on his face whenever he sees the first flower of the season bloom!

Poplar: Autumn! He likes colder weather, but his cane doesn’t work that well against snow and ice! He adores it when the leaves fall and turn orange n’ brown! Also, you can’t tell me that his outfits don’t SCREAM autumn?!

how different would the boy's lives be had they not been (forcefully) inlisted to the military?

would some have taken other forms of employment/career choice, or would they join the military like in the story but like, willingly.

Vastly different.

Mars would have been something like a rancher that cared for livestock, I think. Even though he has a scary appearance, the large beasts of the plains don’t seem to fear him.

Jupiter would probably help Ursa (outertale paps) work as this worlds equivalent to a Cub Scout or Boy Scout troop leader. Learning about the outdoors. Ursa would handle teaching about the flora and fauna, while Jupiter would teach them how to survive in the wild should they be ‘up shits creek without a paddle.’

Polaris (outertale sans) would also study the local plant and wildlife and end up as a professor at the university in St. Calibri. When he isn’t doing that, he also likes to learn about insects. He probably falls asleep while studying and some of them hitch rides on Polaris into the house, much to Ursa’s dismay.

(Their dad thinks it’s endearing, as Polaris makes sure they all get out back outside, safely.)

Red is a mechanic. Cars exist but someone still has to fix em when they break.

Edge would become quite the amazing cook and teach others how to cook.

Milord would be a lawyer.

Mutt would have ended up with a much gentler disposition. So eventually with how smart he is, he would have opened his own gardening or landscaping business.

Blue would be a sheriff/ the sheriff or a firefighter.“This town isn’t big enough for your troublesome antics, evil-doer!”

Orange’s laid back attitude makes him a good bartender/ keeper. (He’d run the saloon.)

Aster would be a doctor. (Granted that’s kinda the same as what he currently does. Though that’s a field medic.) He is very generous with his time and service to his community.

G would be a private eye. He has a natural charm and charisma that allows him to get closer to people than one normally would. Not to mention his intelligence and natural curiosity would make him a good sleuth.

Sans would be a deputy to Blue- doing a lot of the under cover work and ‘bad cop’ing. Actually getting the results as his more excited counterpart goes on the chase for the bad guys and all that fun jazz. He would also be the one to work with Milord for criminal cases, as well as Milord would be the on call lawyer for the jail.

Papyrus would be a handyman. If it can be broken, this master of all things ‘confusing contraption’ can probably fix it. Pluming, lightning, furniture. Etc etc.

Bonus:

The gasters-

Fell- He is still in the army as a top tier General. He was bossy from the day he was born and he’ll stay bossy long after he dusts. Where do you think edge got the audacity from? He learned it from someone and it wasn’t Red.

Swap- He would be a pre-school teacher. He didn’t earn his #1 Dad! Pin for nothing.

Starlord- He would study meteorology and probably be a forecaster.

Trocar- Like his son Mars, he has a way with animals. He would be a veterinarian.

Swiff (SwapFell Gaster) - Mans is a straight up fiend. He’s getting a head start on the brewing business for moonshine.

WingDing- He would teach mathematics at St. Calibri University…

…

Though he swears he doesn’t remember this. Any of it…

He looks around the room, brows furrowed. Nothing seemed out of place. Papers were in order and papers sat on his desk.

At least he thought it was supposed to be his.

He snapped awake, staring at the dark green of the tent above his head, the dream already fading from his mind.

Every year at the start of December s/o becomes a kiss assassin, leaving mistletoe in strange places, offten hidden in plain sight but over looked.

s/o will have kisses and that is a threat

(Obviously if skelly isnt down to kiss they wont )

Have a mix between the two of them!

Undertale Sans - He tries to escape his fate, but you're very persistent. So Sans will do everything to make your job harder, hiding in impossible places or teasing you from places you can't reach, challenging you to come and get him, before teleporting elsewhere as soon as you reach him. He's a dirty cheater. And the worse is that it's making him laugh. Once you have him though, you're wrapping him in gift paper and torturing him for hours.

Undertale Papyrus - He likes that game a little too much and starts a competition out of this. Now you're two trying to get the other to kiss, and Papyrus is counting points. He's going to win this battle and flush you to death, so you better give up now before you regret it. You bet you'll give up! Gyftmas Eve, you have the same score. Gyftmas day is going to be a war.

Underswap Sans - He's a blushing mess, but also, you swear you saw him running under the mistletoe, screaming that he has to kiss you now, sounding so excited. He's far from running away from the tradition and he will gladly find all the mistletoes you hid away and have his kisses for this well-done task.

Underswap Papyrus - He turns bright orange every time it's happening, unable to look you in the eyes. He can't stop purring and he thinks it's so embarrassing. He's just so happy to have this much attention during December. It's like his favorite period ever and he will insist you keep on with the tradition all January because why should Gyftmas be only one month, that's boring.

Underfell Sans - He cleverly cleans all the mistletoe during the night so you don't get him during the day. Too bad he's really bad at finding it and he gets tricked every day by your hiding skills. Don't tell him you understood he was the one taking off the mistletoe so you put it back in the morning, he's going to pout. He's so frustrated, but he's no chicken so he kisses you anyway. But don't get the wrong idea, he's clearly not defeated yet!

Underfell Papyrus - Oh come on! That's cheating! Why your mistletoe is always working but never his? You think you're so much better than him? He'll show you how good he is! He can be a serial kisser as well! He's going to ruin your little prank by kissing you even more and then you'll crawl at his feet begging him to tell you how he managed to get you every time! You're not going to defeat him like that, he is the Great and Terrible Papyrus! You can't stop laughing at his tantrums every time you get him. Edge is so mad.

Horrortale Sans - You all have a headache because now, every time Oak sees you, he's purring like a tractor to have a kiss. He doesn't care there is no mistletoe anymore, he just realized he has free kisses this month and he wants to get as much as he can, even if it means he has to purr like a pneumatic drill all month. Willow is judging you so much for this.

Horrortale Papyrus - He gasps loudly every time he spots a mistletoe, as he knows what is coming. You then have the pleasure to see his face turn bright red as he's shifting awkwardly, blushing more and more as you get closer. The first times are fine. At the end of the month, it's just attempted murder. Willow is on the verge of crying every time you got him. Please, he loves to be showered with kisses, but he's begging you: that's too much now! He can't take it anymore!

Swapfell Sans - He rolls his eyes at you every time, but you suspect he likes that more than he lets one because when he finds a mistletoe and you're not around, he's so disappointed lol. Swapfell Papyrus - He's going to ruin your game by always putting something between the two of you when you're trying to kiss him. It can be Edge's cat, an old sock, a pillow, his feet somehow, a rubber chicken, and even a chicken mc nugget once. God, you hate him so much! Rus loves your game though, he's never running out of new ideas to destroy your hopes.

Fellswap Gold Sans - He hisses every time you kiss him, but he's not trying to get away. It's just an angry hiss for his reputation, but you know he secretly likes this. He's a blushing mess and he sometimes even loses his words after you did that. He's too proud to accept he's enjoying this. Now get off his face this instant!

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - What do you mean only one kiss?! That's unacceptable! He wants more! He's going to cover the house in mistletoe so you can't do anything but kiss him all day long. Please, he needs attention. Give the boy more attention! He's begging you! It's December, you should give him even more attention!

Mafiatale Sans - You want to get him dirty like that? That's too easy. He's going to make you struggle to get to him by trapping the house with lame magic tricks to give you hints of where to find him for your kiss. But... Uh... He's not as talented as his brother with puzzles and traps and one out of two doesn't work so that's a bit embarrassing. You end up tearing the whole house to find him, not caring if he's not happy about you cheating. You're gonna get your kiss!

Mafiafell Papyrus - He stares at the mistletoe like it insulted his family on twenty generations every time you tricked him into this. He won't run away, he's too proud of this, but he's not happy you managed to trick him this easily. Added to that, you won't stop calling him the Grinch because he doesn't like Gyftmas all that much and that's pissing him off even more. Why would you do that to him? You lucky he saw you're going to gift him a new gun at Gyftmas because he wouldn't do it otherwise lol. That's how he's nice.

My brain had a thought;

Originally, I had an idea that my Swapfell Red Papyrus, Russ, had a second/secret ability in his Soul that causes him to use too much magic, issuing in his tired look all the time- To the point his eye sockets are so grey and he looks so disheveled and far too weak for what he was originally created for.

I had wanted Kindness to be the main base of this whole world of mine. To have Russ be a secret healer himself, but it drains his life force.

But the more I thought about it, the more it; Wouldn't make sense AND there would be too much of that theme to be around anyways...

Gaster is a deep green; Star is a pure green; The darker the green, the more corrupted a being is. Star is to be the purest human while Gaster has the most vile. The color Green is the rarest form in this world- No matter the hue.

Gaster wouldn't dare ruin his experiment with adding Kindness, however; Perhaps an equal amount that would help regenerate his subject, but nothing to mess it up by straight on giving Kindness, a thing which would drastically cause the opposite affect of making a Killing monster to impress the Queen and get made to be the Royal Scientist.

My brain had a thought of; Doing simple. If Orange is Bravery, that easily turns into Cowardly if the magic dims and becomes dark. And as you know, Russ is a Dark Orange... He should be more anxious, nervous, more fearful; But all through being in this Fandom, I've drawn and written him as this being who won't step down, who tests the waters, can be an ass; Yet with a goofy personality with a high desire just to fit in somewhere and enjoy life. He does have his moments that i have yet to touch up or show; He does have hard anxiety and the likes listed; But one cannot show such weakness in their realm...

Perhaps, the second trait of his would be Determination... The red that easily can turn into a Rage. Would give him a better ability to never stop, never give up, to keep going despite being so close to death like I've written in Training Gone Wrong-- Makes so much more sense.

A lot of things and traits will have to be reformed; Creating is so fascinating and always such a wonderful thing.

And his brother, SF Sans or Regal, was originally a muted hue of Navy Blue- A deep and corrupted color- But I'm playing with the idea that; Maybe... If a Human can change their traits, why not a Monster?...

Pereserverence sounds right up his alley; Even if he isn't a Judge type...
