I think I've gotten to the point in my life where I'm just gonna ignore "basic DNI criteria" and just assume it's free real estate, especially if they don't specify what that criteria is.

Unironically I see it too much and there is no set list that actually covers what that criteria is, so if I see it I'm just gonna assume there's no DNI at all. If that's an issue then you're free to block me, but I'm just tired of people assuming everyone knows what that means.

In general I think we've evolved past DNIs and just need "I will block you ifs", cause DNIs never work and they're ultimately pointless.

#ra speaks #personal #darker than black #dtb #tag rambling #yes I’m making it for me ™ but it’s also an absolutely massive project like #the video introduction I’ve drafted is 2.5 pages font size 11 1.5 spaced. it’s a lot of text. #and reading it out loud definitely takes longer than 20 minutes #and that’s without getting into the actual arcs and episodes of the show that’s just me rambling abt my personal discovery and interest init #but my real reason is that the wikia has some glaring inconsistencies/shortcomings in terms of its summaries and descriptions plus a lot of #subjective interpretations posited as canonical fact #which y’know I could remake the wikia piece by piece in a doc.wiki format #but to do that I’ll need a thorough rewatch with notes on all canonical events and circumstances as portrayed through the media itself #instead of through a personal lense #sorry I looked up video essays for dtb on YouTube and one of the first literally criticizes the show for something that’s #explicitly addressed in episode 9 like sir did you even fucking WATCH the show how is this the most popular video on the show

At first I wondered why he said he'd be the go-to for questions about Pokémon battling, and not like...biology or behavior or something more professor-y. But then again, each Pokémon Professor has their own field of study...who's to say Hop can't be a professor who specializes in Pokémon battles?

so those dreams where I play SV and it's incredible have been totally replaced by nightmares now where I play it and it's literally so bad that I wake up from getting mad about it and like... can I just be normal about this one thing 🫥

#tag rambling #I dreamed that the intro was really weird and gene was thrown into the plot asap which was capturing powerful legendaries that were #causing destruction all over the region and KUKUI was helping but he had KNOWN it would happen beforehand and DIDN'T TELL US which was like #like DUDE come on. anyways gene was trying to get the last one which was the strongest but then he got caught in a beam and sent to a weird #like. not afterlife type thing but like a place where all the lost people caught in the beams were held #and everyone was experiencing a range of off feelings depending on which creature had caught them in a beam like severe depression #love to the point of obsession... rage... etc. but gene was able to shake it off and start getting people to break through it #until finally he got all the legendaries to let everyone go back except they liked him so much they didn't want him to leave #finally got back to the normal world and kukui was like 'thanks you saved us :)' all out of character and the title screen came up and just #I couldn't tell if that was the whole game or just a stupid hour-long intro with NO ACTUAL POKEMON TRAINING and either way it was so #infuriating (either bc it sucked as a full game or bc it made me wait so long to even get a starter just to show some backstory or the end #of the game or something????) that I woke up mad and with a headache

(for the new folks, oc sunday is a thing where people send in their pokemon ocs and I post them because having ocs is rad and everyone has their own spin on the pokemon world/plots/stories. but I haven't done it since last july)
