im becoming the first (i guess?) daisy oak x oc shipper and by god will i make all them normie pokemon fans who are like "errrmmm didnt know green had a sister" know who daisy truly is lmao lets GO. say hi to her gf and my pookie taiga who will become real in kanto 2 ^_^
green is in for a surprise when he returns from alola. this 2 meters tall cave woman whos walked the earth with a trusty bear and who enjoys all that fucked up food from a nordic region shows exceptional skill when it comes to helping others improve their relationship with their pokemon and so finds her way to daisy's heart. under daisy's training at their shining sparkling new salon, she learns to make any pokemon cute too as a trustworthy massager with a big smile!
taiga will become less Red But Woman the more she lives inside my head, i can for now say that as much as nanatai is a couple of very refined women with a blooming business, they probably are quite literally like spongebob and patrick outside work hours.
kantrio is involved in her endeavors for sure. more backstory i will probably have come up in 2043 see you then.

If it’s a question between getting all my treasures from adventuring home or the two new kitties I found in a village 2000 blocks away from home, it’s not a question and I’m spending an hour and a half swimming these cats home

A writer’s guide to forests: From the poles to the tropics, part 1
Writers, aspiring writers, and all others who happen upon this, I give you all a big thank you. For those of you that have been following this guide, or have done independent research, I’m sure that you now have a grasp of what makes up a forest, and how one can weave into your story. Now I’d like to get into specific forest types. We’ll be going into detail, learning about each specific region, from the extreme limits, to the equator. So, let’s get into it, shall we?
Boreal forest (the Taiga)
The northernmost forest, it forms a circle around the pole.
Location- at or just below the Arctic Circle in North America and Eurasia, extending as far south as the Amur river basin and the Great Lakes region.
Climate- Polar and Subpolar, with conditions tending towards being wet year round. A day can be as long as 16-20 hours in summer and a short as 3 hours in winter. Winter temperatures fall well below freezing, and fallen snow can linger well into the summer months.
Plant life- Mostly conifers, with spruce, pine, and fir dominating. Aspen and birch mixed in, with oaks, larch, and maples in the southernmost regions. Lichens and moss cling to trees. Shrubs and dwarf willow can be found even beyond the tree line. Trees tend to be small as the growing season can be as short as 3 months.
Animal life- Sparse. Conifer needles are unpalatable to many species of herbivores. Deer such as moose and woodland caribou are among the few that live here year round. Bears and wolves can also found, but generally the animals that live here are small. Voles, lemmings, and hare are preyed upon by foxes, lynx, and various weasels, the largest of which is the wolverine. Many birds live here for part or all of the year, with owls being the main predators. Winter can be especially quiet as many animals either migrate or hibernate.
How the forest affects the story- Any society will have to endure winters that are 7-9 months long. Do people stay in one place, or are they nomadic? Is there some form of limited agricultural or are they hunter-gatherers? Are there any domestic species that aid them, or do your characters do all the labor? How do the seasons affect movement? Areas frozen in the winter can turn to marshland or even rivers in the summer. What kind of structures do your characters live in? They may be temporary or permanent, able to keep one warm in the winter, and can be built out of turf, wood, fur, or snow. Are the beliefs of your characters in any way ,shape, or form influenced by the world around them? How would you best describe all this to anyone not familiar with the environment and its people(s)?

More sub biomes and a further updated map!
Here are some sub biomes from the forest and swampland biomes!
Redwood forests
Huge forests of giant redwood trees, where plants like ferns and berry bushes, and ivy are common. This is the biome that Eldur city once resided in.
Swamp wastelands
A swampy muddy area with very few large trees, most foliage remains close to the ground and is often decaying as mushroom growth is common here.
Myco island
An island where a majority of life is made up of mushrooms! Large ones resembling trees, as well as few trees themselves! Though any true tree in this island has been taken over by the mushrooms and mycelium
Grand oak forest
Grand oak forests are somewhat similar to the standard oak forest, except the trees here are meters thick, often growing non-functional faces in the centre of their trunks. Albino animals are common here, as predators are sparse.
Myco forests
Myco forests are a sub biome of the Myco island, Myco forests used to be lush forests before the spores of Myco island spread through the woods. Now the trees are barren and covered ins many species of mushrooms.
Lush taiga
Lush tiara is are a transitional sun biome between the polar forests and standard forests. They are full of tall thick pine trees, covered in moss and mushrooms.
Forested swamps
Forested swamps lie between the swamp safe lands and forests. This sub biome is full of many small streams, abundant with lily pads, moss, and vines, thin small trees make up the forest of these forested swamps.
Willow swamps
Lush swamps lined with weeping Willow trees, small streams and lakes filled with algae and duckweeds, an abundant sub biome where the sun shines brightly through the leaves.
Grassy marshes
The grassy marshes are patches of grasses both tall and short, growing within shallow waters .
———————————————————
And again if you ever want to add your ideas to this fantasy world you are always welcome to submit them! Either through dms or ask box or even just a post of your own (but tag me so I can reblog it :))!
Prompts and updated map below the cut!
Prompts:
What would a mountainous sub-biome look like?
Would there be any sub biomes where the people of Kenalia don’t enjoy being in/refuse to stay in?
What landmarks or civilization would you find in the lush taiga?
What kind of creatures live on Myco island?
Why is it common for the grand oak trees to grow faces?
And here’s the updated map!!

Stranger Things Minecraft Seeds!
Today I put in the names of Stranger Things characters into Minecraft’s seed generation. Here are some cool things I found!
Nancy (seed - nancywheeler)
Nancy spawns you right next to a jungle temple.
Tumblr media
Jonathan (seed - jonathanbyers)
Jonathan has a wide range of biomes at spawn. A cherry grove, a taiga, plains, and an oak and birch forest. And there is a village and ruined portal close by.
Tumblr media
Steve (seed - steveharrington)
Steve spawns right between a dark oak forest and a jungle biome. The stronghold is directly underneath a desert village which has a camel.
Tumblr media
Will & Eleven (seed - willbyers, eleven)
Will & Eleven’s seeds both spawn you by a village. In Will’s, a savannah, and El’s, a taiga.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Erica Sinclair (seed - ericassinclair)
Erica’s seed spawns by a savannah and a jungle. However, the special part of this seed is the stronghold. It is MASSIVE. It took me 5 minutes to find the portal while in spectator mode. The stronghold was too big for me to capture its full size, so here is a cave next to it instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Argyle (seed - argyle)
Argyle’s seed spawns near a desert temple. The special part, however, is the stronghold is right above an ancient city.
Tumblr media
Eddie (seed - eddiemunson)
Eddie’s is my favourite, spawning you on snowy mountains which stretch for ages. There is an ancient city almost directly underneath spawn. Not only that, but his end portal has spawned inside a geode.

MyStreamer AU:
Biomes/areas where everyone builds their main bases in the Season 1-3 SMP.
-Dante and Travis -> Plains Biome. Don’t live together but are neighbors and technically their bases are connected (think Techno’s and Phil’s cabins from DSMP). They do share farms and a storage system.
-Gene, Sasha, and Zenix -> Ancient City. They share a base.
-Vylad and Lucinda -> Dark Oak Forest. Same biome, but they aren’t technically neighbors. And technically speaking Vylad has another “main” base and a secret base.
-Laurance -> Mangrove Swamp. Vylad’s other “main” base is also here.
-Garroth, Cadenza, and Aphmau -> Cherry Blossom Forest. Same biome and the three of them are neighbors.
-Zane -> Stoney Peaks.
-Nana -> Flower Forest.
-Aaron -> Snowy Taiga.
-Katelyn -> Ocean Monument.
-Vylad (secret base) -> Lush Cave.

Petals (AvM fanfic)
(This takes place after episode 30, I started this story way before the finale and after episode 29, but I decided to finish it. I hope you enjoy!)
Green stretched his arms in the air after he finally finished chopping down the last oak tree he needed. He picked up and gathered all the scattered wood blocks across the ground, scrolling through his inventory to a empty hand. It had already been a couple hours since he’s been gone, the others are probably going to worry if he doesn’t get back soon.
“I guess I should get going already.” Green told himself.
He threw his headphones over his head, having one ear open so he can still hear his surroundings. He began to head back onto the dirt trail.
It didn’t take him too long to get to the farm him and his friends had created. He hummed with the the tunes playing in his ears, remembering the Note Block Universe him and Purple were in. Green really enjoyed visiting that place whenever he had a chance. Everyone there would give him a nice greeting especially when he would visit Taiga Village. And even after King’s Arc, he would drive his friends insane whenever he would sing. Orange was definitely annoyed when it would come to him making tunes and singing after 2 am.
Green eventually made it to the farm, waving at the blue stick who was planting.
“Hey Green, you’re back!” Blue leaned on their diamond hoe.
Yellow rushed over to Green, “Good thing you came back on time, Orange is in need for some of this wood.” She took some wood from out of Green’s hands and lied it on a crafting table.
Orange came out of a small wooden house, carrying a bag string in their hands. They walked over to Yellow, setting the bag down next to the crafting table.
“Thanks for the wood Green!” Second smiled as they begin to craft.
“Oh it’s no problem, I got some more than you wanted so we can have spare. I also took a trip to a lake to fish.” Green scrolled through his inventory again and before passing bones he had picked up, “Hey Red! I found some bones for you to tame some wolves!”
Red perked his head up the pig he was cuddling with. He got up and closed the gate behind him running towards Green, “Thank you so much Green!” He said giving him a big hug.
Green hugged him back, patting his back, Red let go and smiled at him before running back to  help Blue with gardening. Orange continued crafting and Yellow settled a table outside so they can have super outside. That was Green sign to start making food since Blue was busy. Green pulled his headphones back onto his ears and jammed to more music. But then he realized something in the middle of chopping carrots.
“Hey Orange?” He pushed his headphones down from his ears, “Where’s Purple?”
Orange looked up, “They were with you…Weren’t they…?” they raised an eyebrow.
Green felt confused, ‘They were never with me…’
“What makes you say that?” Green asked again, he wanted to have a clear answer. One that didn’t confuse him.
“Well Red told me when I asked him about them.” Orange lay the stick he was holding down. “He said that they were with you.”
Now Green was definitely confused, Green left with no one to follow or for them to go with him. And even if they did follow him, he would’ve notice after hours. He walked over to Red who was collecting chicken eggs.
“Red where’s Purple? I know they weren’t with me because I would’ve known.” He asked but this time it wasn’t a confused tone for Red to know.
Red scratched his head, “Well Purple said they went to go catch up to you. I thought they were going to help you with the trees, but when you came back alone…” Red paused, his face blank realizing and in thought, “They weren’t with you…?”
Green shook his head, “No Red, they were never with me.”
Red slapped his head, he felt dumbfounded.
Green patted his shoulder, “It’s okay it’s not your fault…”
The others quickly rushed to them.
“Purple’s missing?” Orange asked worried.
“Yes but I’ll find them, okay?” Green stated.
He grabbed his fishing hook and sword he left in the near by chest. He looked through his inventory to make sure he had the right equipment for any sort of emergencies. He grabbed his diamond sword that was found leaning against the chest, about to head into the woods before he looked back at Yellow.
“I swear, that you have a tracker on me-“
“Yes yes yes! I do have one on you! But it’s just so we can make where you are heading so if you are in any danger, we would know where to find you!” Yellow explained quickly.
Green rolled his eyes but gave his friends a reassuring smile, “I’ll make sure that I travel safe.”
“Wait! You should take Rueben with you.” Red exclaimed, “He’ll be able to track Purple’s scent!”
Rueben beamed around Red and to Green who nodded at Red in “Thank You”. He walked inside the forest with Rueben in front of him, his snout lowered down to the ground followed by Purple’s scent. Rueben led the way, far from where Green had stopped at before he realized it was too far. Wherever Purple journey to…it was going to be a long trip.
As Green and Rueben traveled through the familiar biomes, he seemed to wonder where would Purple had gone. His mind replayed back at the whole incident between the King and them, remembering more about what Purple had told Green about his childhood. Purple was full of wonders back before, but now it made sense to him of why they were always drifting off to other places just to prove their father they were strong. And by far knew, Purple was already strong enough to come long ways, Green thought.
Green noticed Rueben getting tired, so they made a stop next to a steady riverside. Rueben sat down next to Green who had their fishing pole out, flicking it out into the water. The diligent pig looked at Green to who rubbed his ears. Rueben grunts, stretching his limbs before laying in a comfortable position. Green himself was feeling tired too, even after some wood chopping and then a long hike.
Green reeled in his cast of the fishing rod and put it away, then yawning. He looked up at the fading blue sky and which the sun was about to set, it began to turn into a soft orange color. Rueben was already quietly snoring away, Green rested his hand on the pig’s head, nodding off. His eyes closed, the only thing that was still keeping him awake was only the faint noises of slow water flowing through rocks. Before his entire mind turned off, a new sound interrupted. Green opened his eyes again, not only hearing just the river but to which seemed like an unclear voice.
Green rise from where he was sitting, he walked into the woods from where he was hearing the voice. The closer he got, the more familiar it was to him. He found himself stopping behind a tree, peeking his head out at the opened area with a cliff. There he see Purple standing before the cliff, hearing them singing a tune. Green listened to them sing, hearing hurt in their voice, he worried. Purple finished their song, and stood their with their head hung. Green watched them as they took a step forward, he dashed after them, pulling them back from their shoulder.
“AH!” Purple screamed.
Purple whipped their head, “Green?! What are you doing?!”
“What am I doing?! What are you doing! I was looking for you, even after you lied to the others you were with me in which you weren’t, and now I find you about to step of a cliff!”
Green huffed but then noticed Purple holding something in their hands.
“What? I wasn’t going jump, you think I’m stupid?!” Purple turned their body towards the cliff again and let out a sigh, “…I was giving my mom orchids…”
Green looked down, before the edge of the cliff was a gravestone of Purple’s mother, Orchid.
“Oh…” Green felt like an idiot, but mostly a jerk because he assumed worst from Purple.
“Purple I’m sorry-“
Purple sighed, “It’s fine Green, you just didn’t know…”
Purple kneeled in front of the stone, slowly putting down an orchid one by one. When Purple finished they stood back up again, “It was suppose to be her birthday today…”
Green put a hand on Purple’s back, giving them comforting pats. Purple began to sing again, but this time their voice sound a bit more shaky, but lighted. Green couldn’t see their face, but he could tell that they were crying. The wind blew softly, Purple’s singing echoing through the air, and the moon rose giving the grave a glow. They both had a pretty sight of the world from beyond the cliff.
Green, Purple, and Rueben spent the rest of the night talking to each other, they decided to build a fort to stay in because traveling back home at night was dangerous. Green texted and reminded the others that he would return back home in the morning with Purple. Green and Purple lied outside with Rueben on Green’s stomach, watching the stars.
“Hey Green?” Purple said.
“Yes?” He responded while stroking Rueben’s ears.
“Thank you for finding me… It meant a lot to me for you being here…”
“No problem buddy…”

okay back to being a hater about the Wild Update
I think the reasons why we were disappointed not to get those little "extras" like the reeds and shelf fungi or literally any updates to other biomes have a lot to do with the fact that this would be such a logical and natural progression to improve Minecraft.
With adding content, there's a lot of freedom to do whatever, but the Wild Update was supposed to improve existing biomes, and a lot of biomes are in great need of improvement to "fit" with newer content.
And updating existing stuff should come before adding totally new stuff! It just makes sense!
1.18 provided the foundation to build upon by DRASTICALLY improving the terrain generation. It just...made perfect sense that 1.19 would be about filling and populating that terrain with stuff.
So I REALLY wanted them to give us
more plant diversity. Particularly cattails/reeds, but like...giant Rafflesia flowers in jungles. Thorny brambles in deserts. Pleeeease
more incorporation of "new" natural blocks into older biomes (are you telling me mud only exists in mangrove swamps?? No mud in rivers or ponds or regular swamps? Hello??)
Moss 100% needs to exist in mega taigas if nowhere else. In one of my (sadly now deleted) survival worlds I added moss everywhere to a mega taiga and it looks so lush and gorgeous next to the podzol and mossy cobblestone
I could go on and on: lichen needs to exist outside caves, moss carpets should be under big oak trees, mossy cobblestone and moss should like. Exist in the same places
In general we need some kind of fungi-related update. Make the mushroom island seem like an ecosystem. Put patches of mycelium in swamps.
give azalea trees their own wood
give azalea trees their own wood
GIVE AZALEA TREES THEIR OWN WOOD THIS MAKES ME SO ANGRY it's supposed to be a new tree but it has OAK WOOD??? A SCAM??

[Curious Anon]: your enderman ocs are so interesting! can we get more info about them please?
Alright well... Let's see...
Birdy
Originally an Oak Forest Enderman before moving to the Desert to blend in easier due to being Albino
Unable to teleport, doesn't really have any natural powers like other endermen
Found a shapeshifting crystal in a Desert temple that gave him the ability to shapeshift into a Stick Figure and control the sand around him when he summons enough will power
Hailed as the ruler to a large Desert Village, which he defends valiantly since they give him a home and don't mind that he's an enderman, as long as he protects them
Moss
Lives deep within the Taiga biome with his brother and sisters in a hidden village full of magic wielding villagers
Born into the life of a guardian, has as much health as an Iron Golem, with the powers of an Enderman
Also able to create small projectile blasts, but it uses up more energy
He's never interacted with anyone outside the village except for his group of friends and Birdy's villagers for trading
Well... He has a weirdly vast knowledge about technology despite never owning a phone. He must have met someone...
Rosco
Lives freely in the Jungle Biome, living on the tops of trees and having a soft spot for cats
Doesn't teleport unless he has to, very good at climbing and running on all fours
Likes to flirt with any cute male, though he hates commitment and never wants to settle down
Prefers watching Birdy's attempts like a soap opera
Sedrick
Cave dwelling Enderman, very sensitive to bright lights, but excellent night vision while also having echolocation
Spends most of his time reading in various places within the caves
Hardly ever leaves or grows hostile
Only comes to the surface when it's overcast or night to get books or hang out when Birdy drags him out

BLOOD. -What types of injuries has your muse sustained? What was the worst?
Injuries are not an uncommon occurrence. Either sibling has sustained superficial hurts incurred by their alchemical hijinx. More often than not, they are peppered with cuts and burns. Alchemy, after all, is quite hazardous to an individual’s health. If a cross-section were to be taken of a Parkhurst's lung, you’d be forgiven in thinking it was charred. Years of inhaling caustic chemicals have turned their insides a tad softer and a pinch blacker than they should appear. All of this is to say that the Parkhursts value their health as a gambler values their life’s savings. And while some injuries are worse than others, such as Max’s missing eye or Augustine’s disfigured hand, none of them are deemed the worst. No. That title is saved for a chilled evening deep in Drustvar’s taiga. There, the eldest sibling danced intimately with death itself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Augustine fumbled with the clasps, hands shaking and head buzzing. He couldn’t understand why anyone decided to wear a coat with marble-enameled buttons. Wooden ones were just as serviceable and far easier to undo with blood-slick fingers. After so many failed attempts, he spat out a curse and yanked the dagger from the man’s sheath. Damn all this courtesy to the dead. He sawed away at the fabric with amateur precision and wretched the dismantled coat aside, revealing a bandoleer that housed a variety of vials. Relief warmed his chilled veins as he plucked three unscathed.
“You won’t be needing these,” he murmured, “Will you?”
The corpse once possessed a name- as all dead things do. In life, the man was callused and cold. His steel-sharp gaze haunted every corner and all of Augustine’s waking moments, plucking him from the shadows with predatory ease. Even with the light snuffed from them, that gaze still found him in his most guilty moment. Bulging and wide. Set in an unsettling amalgamation of horror, shock, and amusement. The man once named Abel Eloi died with a smile etched on his lips. Humored by the notion that prey had claimed predator; that this meek kit possessed fangs and claws of his own. Augustine rose to his feet and stumbled under a wave of vertigo. Whether the headiness was from disgust or elation, he had not decided. He wiped the blade clean on the shredded coat, shoved it between his belt and pant loop, and then kicked past the corpse and its revolver empty of the last bullet. Material items held no value to the dead, after all. Streaks of gold and maroon gorged the sky as dusk crept over the horizon. Night would fall soon. Pines and oaks, their leaves ethereally sanguine, scraped at the firmament of the Crimson Forest. Smaller plants like aspens and alders added a lush depth that filled the air with dense pockets of silence. In the distance, Augustine heard the yip and howl of hounds drunk on the hunt. He scanned the wilderness. There was no one besides them, the wind, the quiet brush, and the occasional spindle-limbed shade - remnant wraiths sewn by the hands of the Heartsbane Coven, unliving and forever burning- that shambled through the gloom. If there were men concealed in the boughs, they harbored no interest in showing themselves. His shadow, stretched long and dark, guided him to where his sister laid limp like a doll.
Augustine had read these kinds of scenes in novels. They described blood like it was a painting, idyllic in nature and otherworldly charming. Authors had the penchant for glossing over the fact that blood was messy. It so rarely pooled stagnant. Her blood had mixed with his blood, which had mixed with the dirt and mud and grass and whatever the hell else until he wasn’t even sure who or what was crusting under his finger nails. It all made his stomach churn with unrest. He swallowed hard, stealing a glance at the venous red that stained the undergrowth, and clawed at his sister’s shoulders.
Max gasped, ragged and wet, as she was rolled onto her back. She pressed a hand firm against her stomach. Between her fingers seeped crimson threads. A futile attempt to keep herself from unraveling. She bristled, overtaken by a coughing spasm, before spitting up crimson gruel onto her chest. A dark needle pierced his heart as she grew still and quiet.
“Max…?” Augustine whispered as he gathered her in his arms. Her skin felt as cold as glass. He tried to shake a bit of warmth into her, and to place a bit of strength in his voice. Though to his ears, he only sounded lost and small. “Maxinora?”
There was a long beat of silence that made Augustine question if she’d heard him or not. Then came her gossamer soft reply, “Auggie…”
Max’s eye fluttered open, her gaze slow to find her brother. She peered through him with a vacancy that belied uncertainty. She was unsure. Unsteady.
“I’m here.” Augustine forced a thread-bare smile despite the heat collecting in his throat and the sting threading his eyes.
Clarity warmed her gaze a beat later than he’d have hoped. Max wheezed a tired laugh as she lifted her hand and revealed her wounds. Her blouse bloomed red from where she’d been unseamed at the stomach. She cupped his chin, directing his eyes away from the gray stuffing that fell out of his rag doll sister.
He could barely hear her speak those last words. Such dense words that ushered a silence thick enough to smother the taiga’s timberland.
Her smile turned his insides cold.
“I’m sorry…”
And for a moment, the world shattered beneath Augustine as his sister grew still and quiet in his arms.
Thank you for the ask @nixalegos!
