I spent a chunk of yesterday making a bunch of these trope memes for atypical's shows and when I tell you I BLANKED on how to describe a show I spent the better part of my twenties writing...

I'm really curious, TBS listeners, what tropes/identifiers/hooks would you use to get someone to listen to the show?

#the bright sessions #audio drama #do I like that media is being boiled down to tropes that can fit onto a graphic? #no #am I going to use whatever tools i can to get people to listen to independent art? #yeah #the ISW already has 13k views on tiktok! #idk if that's good but I want more people to listen to and love that show! #anyway i am geniunely not asking y'all to do my marketing work for me #I am truly just curious as to what stands out for people #bc unlike with the other shows #I have NO objectivity or outside POV on this one lol #I also might make individual ones for TAMA and TCT even though they're just later seasons? #just bc I feel like those are all distinct

somehow managed to reach wano and after missing zoro for 50+ chapters I'm so happy these two are back to their single braincell sharing shenanigans.

like. the way luffy was so happy to see zoro again (mind you, this wasn't nearly as long as the 2 year timeskip) that he momentarily forgot the poor sick tama to launch himself straight into zoro's arms?

the matching wide happy grins? the hug? the fact that zoro's the first of the straw hats luffy sees after separating from zoro's group in zou, kinda like how zoro was the first to arrive at sabaody after 2 years? they're crazy (affectionate)

and of course, it's time for the tomfoolery to unfold as soon as they're reunited again

I think the contrast between opla luffy not only remembering wado's name (albeit uh kinda botched) but also caring for wado ichimonji while zoro was injured vs manga luffy not remembering why nidai kitetsu's name sounded familiar and nearly giving zoro an aneurysm by mishandling the sword on top of that is genuinely, hysterically funny btw. different zolu flavors and all of them tasty

I love their interactions with tama so far too! zoro protecting and shielding them both from hawkins with quite literally his own body was really good

and it will never not get to me how easy it is for luffy to leave his back open for zoro to protect when facing enemies, ever since they met, simply bc he has that much faith in zoro's strength and willingness to keep him (and others, when it occurs) safe. plus, to go back to zou for a bit - it's just sweet that luffy knows zoro more than well enough to look beyond all the layers of grumpiness and ostensibly harsh words at times. zoro didn't seem exactly eager to bring sanji back at first but one look at him after noticing zoro had been listening in to the group's conversation abt what happened to sanji and luffy immediately pointed out that he bet zoro was actually worried abt him.

on different occasions, zoro's straightforward or too-rational approach mixed up with his lack of tact tends to understandably annoy other characters but if there's someone who knows how much zoro genuinely cares for his crew (and others sometimes) regardless of what he says, luffy's definitely right there. it's been that way since they interacted for the first time and is why the riceballs incident was so significant to luffy back then. it's such a compelling aspect of their relationship, as usual

anyway just look at them!!!! they're so cute!!!!!

also, zoro going from -> unwillingly flung around arlong park by luffy -> stoically letting luffy manhandle him around in dressrosa -> actively asking luffy to bring him along and hanging onto him of his own volition? character development

and to finish this post, my condolences to law 🙏🏼 knowing those two are on the loose without any sane supervision around must be a nightmare (zoro himself is already on wano's shit list after cutting down that magistrate) and worse if they're together

wip wednesday

i just wanted to write out the full not magical gale scene tbqh. anyway, here's some steamy making out (nothing too spicy yet, idk if i'll ever finish this)

There’s a mischievous spark in her eyes. She kisses him again, and he grasps her waist with both hands, holding her firmly against this body. She’s warm. Not miraculously hot or unnaturally cold. Her skin does not pulsate with power. She is just warm and soft and her hair tickles his face. There is so much hair, thick and soft and full. Some of it gets caught between their lips. 

He wants to apologize. He feels like it’s his fault, somehow. But she simply brushes it out of the way and leans to kiss him again, parting his lips with her tongue. One of her hands pushes his hair back, her fingers gently raking against his scalp. The other is still firmly on his shoulder. She shifts her body so that she fully straddles him now. 

It’s the feeling of heat between them, heat coursing through his body and making his heart beat faster, that makes him pull away again. 

“Are you sure you want me like this?” he asks. “I can offer you so much more than… well, just me.”

“Gale,” she says, softly, and she looks at him so warmly that his breath hitches. “You don’t have to give me anything.” She touches the side of his face, her thumb brushing his cheek, and then leans to kiss him gently on the corner of his mouth. 

He still doesn’t know if he believes her, but before he can say anything else, she kisses his neck and the hand that is on his shoulder slides to his chest, right over his heart. He’s hyper aware of his heartbeat now — not just his heartbeat, but the aching void where the orb lies in false slumber. It doesn’t hunger like it once did, but Gale knows that this is temporary, that right there in his chest lies the arbiter of his own destruction.

Delvyre’s hand rests right over it. He reaches to curl his fingers over hers. Her lips meet his throat and he feels her tongue hot and wet against his skin. His breath hitches. She kisses down to his collarbone and then gently traces her lips over the dark magic that still stains his skin.

No, not the magic. Not the orb.

His heart.

Her lips brush against his heart, softly and gently, and for a moment he doesn’t feel that empty ache that throbs in his chest. 

A new kind of hunger overtakes him. A carnal one that engulfs him and burns through his body. From his lips, a groan escapes, and he grabs Delvyre’s hip to cant their bodies together.

She chooses this moment to sit up now, a satisfied smirk tugging up on her lips as she leans back, looking down at him. The moonlight hits her hair, turning the copper strands into gold. She trains her flame-licked eyes directly on him as she slowly unties the strings of her corseted top.

"Without you, I am only half I need to be whole!" I think I'm getting a knack for reversible designs with this one and the last one! Anyways, I finished the new AI game, nirvanA Initiative this past month (in a feverish week of play getting all achievements, this is a trend with me) and knew I was going to make a mosaic like I did for the first one with the big colourful cast! There are some minor spoilers hidden in this as usual with my full cast pieces so if you haven't finished most of the game don't look too closely! This WILL be a print for the future, just got to wait til my next big print order~!
