kind of obsessed with the idea of ted and melissa somehow becoming friends. ted invites her to get drinks after work with the sole intention of sleeping with her only she spends the entire time rambling about her crush on paul and ted is getting drunker and drunker to be able to sit through it, only he gets drunk enough to admit that he's actually in love with charlotte and knows she doesn't like him back the same way and then this somehow becomes a weekly routine for ted and melissa to get drinks after work and bitch about their unrequited feelings and they find out they both have a fondness for musical theatre along the way. paul and bill go to get drinks after work at the same bar one time and bill immediately goes into overprotective dad mode when he sees melissa drinking with ted but when he gets closer he realizes ted's not flirting or anything he's giving a passionate review of the latest musical at the starlight and melissa is chiming in with her thoughts. bill is so confused by this turn of events that he just stands there listening to them for a solid ten minutes while paul tries to drag him away because if there's one thing he likes less than musicals it's drunk ted ranting about musicals
