I write headcanons and sometimes scenarios! However, headcanons will be the most common!

honestly the main reason i fell off the grandpa train, other than the "being more closely related by blood wouldn't and shouldn't change the bond the twins have with stan" is the same issue i (and hirsch) have with the "what if stan was actually soos' biological dad!!!" theory, because both theories rely on this idea that stan knowingly and willingly abandoned his sons in some way, while still maintaining some sort of relationship with them under false presences, which is just such a horribly scummy thing to do and completely against some of stan's best traits, which are his devotion and love for his family

#like i didn't think about it much as a teen but that theory relies on stan letting his son think he died which is horrible enough on his own #but then still interacing with him enough for said child to trust him with the care of dipper and mabel and... #idk i was into the theory a bunch as a kid too but that just doesn't feel good y'know

The heavy rain caused the ground of the cliff upon which Mabel stood gave way, and gravity began to do its quick, vicious work. Before she could fall far at all, however, she was not met with injury, or worse, upon the cold, hard ground— what she fell onto, several stories into the air, was, in fact, solid, but it was not hard, it was soft; and it was not cold, it radiated a gentle warmth. The rain, too, had suddenly ceased pelting her relentlessly, and there was a shadow from overhead.

She was being held by one giant hand, and shielded from the rain by another. Straight ahead, a deeply scarred and bushy-bearded face peered back at her, vivid green eyes wide as they inspected for any harm.

Then came the voice of this giant, Ingvar; it was deep, like the sea, yet restrained-quiet, like it were a human speaking:

"Are you... being alright?"

Gravity Falls hadn't changed much since the previous summer. Most of the damage left behind by Weirdmageddon had been repaired, even if some of the signs of what had passed were still visible, like scars and memory that would never fade.

At the same time, however, said marks weren't just a gloomy reminder of what had happened and of what could have been. They were also there to show what they had survived and what they had won.

And this was what Mabel tried to see every time her gaze fell on a slope that hadn't been there the year before or on the now empty space where a building had stood. The main reason why she had wanted to come back, aside from wanting to see her Grunkles again, was that she was hoping to find some closure for the loose ends that the almost apocalypse had left in her life too.

That morning, the girl had decided to take a walk in the woods, ignoring all the signs that clearly indicated that there was a storm coming. She hadn't planned to stay out for long and she had assured Stan that she would be back as soon as the first drops of rain would have started to fall.

However, it quickly turned out that going alone perhaps hadn't been the wisest choice. Not only she didn't remember the paths that went around the woods as well as she had thought but, since now Soos and Melody owned the Shack, they were staying in the small cottage that Stan and Ford had built. The place was close enough to the tourist trap, but it was also far enough to make her lose her bearings a little.

By the time the storm started, Mabel was nowhere near being back safe and sound. She wasn't completely lost either, but the rain was heavy and it made it hard for her to see where she was going and made the ground very slippery. So, when the ground underneath her feet suddenly gave out, she wasn't given a warning nor a chance to react.

A loud yelp escaped the girl's mouth, but her fall turned out to be much shorter and much less painful than she would have expected.

Mabel's first reaction was to blink in confusion, shaking her head like a wet puppy before pushing the long brown locks that had fallen on her eyes away.

"What...?" She started to say, but her voice trail off as soon as she realised where she was sitting.

A huge hand. Attached to an even more huge guy. Wow. Grunkle Ford's journals had mentioned something about giants here and there, but she and Dipper hadn't run into any creature this big during their first summer.

"Yeah, I'm...fine," she replied, chocolate brown eyes as wide as saucers. "Thanks to you, Mr. Giant. That was a very..." Her voice trailed off as she shifted on the side to be able to peek at the ground, from past the edge of the other's hand. "...VERY big fall I almost had. You saved my life!"

Happy 10th anniversary to Gravity Falls @gf10yearslaterzine

What can I possibly say about this show? It’s brought me so much joy; so much laughter and tears, so many emotions of all kinds. It’s the feeling of being a part of something; of being enough. I am deserving of love, and family, and self-worth, just as I am. I am good and brave and loyal and selfless. I am everything I need to be. I am enough, and someday the happy ending I deserve will come to me; I just gotta hold out. Sometimes it takes time, and sometimes things aren’t gonna to the way I hoped they would. But I deserve to be loved and I deserve family. And family is something I’ll always have.

Thank you so much to this show and this fandom. I’ve been here for three years now, and I’ve made some of the greatest friends I’ve ever had. I love each and every member of this fandom with all my heart, and I’m so happy to have been able to discover the joy that is this show, and experience such a wonderful community.

I am so grateful for everything that Gravity Falls has given me. I wouldn’t be the same without having watched this wonderful little cartoon and experienced such an amazing fandom. All of you are so kind and caring, and wish love on each and every one of you.

Stanley Pines is my favorite character on this show. He shows that it’s ok to feel down or sad or worthless sometimes. It’s ok to struggle and to screw things up. It’s ok to hurt, and it’s ok to love wildly and freely even when you’ve gotten nothing but pain in return. And most of all, it’s so, so essential that you keep loving, and keep caring about other people, no matter how much your bashed down for your efforts. This thought and feeling has so much power and I’m eternally grateful for it. You don’t need to stop loving. You don’t need to stop being a human being. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be loved either. Stanley Pines is so human it hurts, and the amount of times I’ve cried over this fictional old man is more than I’d like to admit.

We all deserve love. We all deserve family. We are not wrong for wanting these things, and we are certainly not wrong for giving out our love either. There’s this huge sense of validation for being that I get whenever I watch this show. And a sense of validation for loving whenever I look at our beloved Grunkle Stan.

So yeah. Gravity Falls is amazing, and will hold a special place in my heart forever.
