New Pokémon Trainer Class Idea: Time Travelers.

Trainers from all over the history of the Pokémon world, that can no longer go back to their original time period for varying reasons. What separates them from other trainer classes is how some members of their team may or may not exist in the present day Pokémon world. Which can also serve as foreshadowing for future Pokémon Legends games.

So, what did you think of the Black and White saga of the Pokéani?

The Black and White saga was actually the first version of the anime I'd watched, since it's what was airing when I got into the fandom. And I'll tell you something, I really liked it! I know most everybody doesn't, and now that I've seen all the other generations of the anime, I can admit it's definitely the weakest, but it's not as bad as everybody claims it is IMO. I could just be blinded by nostalgia goggles, but even when I rewatched the series recently, I had lots of fun revisiting it.

The battles were cool-looking and always had this unpredictable quality to them that kept me at the edge of my seat (I don't think any of us expected Ash VS Elesa to go the way it did, for better or worse)

My favorite part was definitely the characters. I don't understand why people hate Iris and Cilan so much. I'm betting people just missed Brock and we're salty about his replacement after four generations, because Cilan was great! He had a unique extravagant charm and I thought it was funny how he seemed to be a connoisseur for everything. The few occasions where his sophisticated mask would fall were always hilarious (I still remember his expression when he lost to Skyla 😂)

And then there's Iris. I'm pretty sure the only reason people hate her is because of her "You're such a little kid" comments (which, I mean, fair. It's a little annoying to hear her constantly dissing Ash's skills when WE KNOW he's better than that, or at least he's supposed to be) but that's honestly it. Besides that one thing, Iris was a great character. We got to watch her struggle with every single Pokémon she caught in some way, shape or form, helping them and gaining their trust until they became valuable members of her team, like with Excadrill and Dragonite. Plus gradually learning about her past from her overconfident beginnings as a wannabe Dragon Master to her humbling experiences with Drayden and Opelucid Academy, Iris' developmental journey was written very well. I was so happy to see her come back in Journeys

The supporting characters were lots of fun too like Stephan, Burgundy, Georgia, Bianca, Luke, ect. And do I even have to explain how cool it was seeing a serious and competent Team Rocket! Loved all of them

Not to mention, the BW anime gave us Ash's Oshawott, so that immediately earns it points in my book!

So yeah, I loved the BW anime, despite it's flaws. Not sure if I did such a good job explaining my thoughts here but I've already spent over an hour figuring out how to put them into words.

This was something I made sometime last week but didn't finish it until today while I was at my volunteer program due to distractions. That being said, onto the drawing.

I know that "Crazy Diamond's Demonic Heartbreak" has been a bit controversial over the last several months due to how some of the characters were handled(I'm still not happy with how it handled DIO) or how the story ended, but there are some bits of Demonic Heartbreak that can be redeemed, such as Josuke's and Hol Horse's partnership. 

Anyways, last week I was having a conversation with my friend @terrific-togekiss and we got to thinking about what would happen if my Jojo OC Medea was in the story.

In this case, she would be very uncomfortable upon seeing Hol Horse again because of her history with the Agents of DIO, as well as him(accidentally) almost getting her killed by DIO's Sepsis attack, and of course Hol Horse was shocked that Josuke's high school history teacher was Medea of all people, and poor Josuke isn't aware of these two knowing each other and having some bad blood.

I'd imagine that their relationship from this point on would be similar to Naomi and Navel from "Trauma Team", except it's a lot more awkward and uncomfortable between the two, and Medea's already married.

Are there any animals you wish got Pokémon counterparts?

@terrific-togekiss I have a few, most of which you've listed before in another post so I've listed some that you haven't mentioned:

Capybara: It would definitely just be a route 1 Normal-Type, but being the largest rodent in the world I thought it would be funny if it evolved into a super large, almost Ursaring-sized Pokémon, making it the most powerful of the HM Users.

Griffin: The easiest choice would be to make it a Flying-Type but I also really like the idea of it being Fairy-Dragon. I like the thought of there being more non-reptilian Dragon-Types, it being such a fantastic mythical creature, it deserves either of those Types.

Tengu: There are two common types of Tengu, the humanoid ones with long noses (which Shiftry is based on) and the more bird-like ones. I would like a Pokémon based on the latter, a Flying-Type with wings not attacked to it's arms, preferably pure Flying, but I understand if they'd make it half Dark.

Ankylosaurus: Can you believe we don't have an ankylosaurus Fossil Pokémon yet? It would be so easy, just make the mace on its tail a boulder and boom, new dinomon!

Spidermonkey: I know we already have tons of monkey Pokémon, but shut up I love monkeys! And besides I want this one to be a bug-type, with more insectoid features.

Cockroach: Speaking of bugs I have two more Bug Pokémon I'd like to see. The first is a roach Pokémon. I know most people don't like roaches, including me, but think of the potential. I'm imagining a Bug-Steel Type with absurdly high defense, and what's more (or worse) is that it should have the Heatproof ability to protect it against Fire-Types and to reference the myth that roaches can survive anything. This thing would be so annoying to battle like real roaches, it's perfect!

Mosquito: On the other hand there's mosquitoes. They would make for a good Bug/Poison/Dark/Flying Pokémon, but you should know I live in Mexico and I can't go more than five minutes without getting bit by one of those bloodsucker motherfuckers. If there ever is a mosquito Pokémon, I will go out of my way to faint it whenever I encounter one in the wild - even if I'm down to my last Pokémon in the red - purely out of spite!
