ok final update for tonight.

1- he didn’t block me for the reasons i thought he did, he blocked me because i was apologizing too much. Which inadvertently gave me a panic attack but that was an accident, he’s now unblocked me.

2- we talked about it more and he’s apologized slightly but i still don’t feel like understands why my writing is a point of vulnerability i don’t want to share with him yet. Either way, he says he’ll stay off my tumblr but i’m probably gon change my username anyway.

3- we’re going to talk more tomorrow and i hope it goes well because i know he’s a good person and he means well and he’s the best bf i’ve ever had but sometimes he’s just really stupid. I don’t want to break up with him, I don’t think he’s toxic and I don’t think he meant to embarrass me. He thought we were joking around and apparently he only saw my name and pinned post but stopped before seeing anything else. He doesn’t really understand much about my writing but he does feel bad for making me consider deleting it because he knows tumblr is my favorite hobby.

4- i believe he assumed we were joking when talking about him not going on my tumblr at all but i will verify tomorrow. I did two tarot readings and they both said what we have is good but i need to make sure my happiness comes before his so i’m going to try to convey that to him.

5- last thing, he’s not a bad person, just really dumb sometimes and hurts me on accident. i’m going to try to work through this with him and i think you know what’ll happen if that doesn’t work out. Either way, thank you all for the support and advice, I love you guys more than I love my writing itself. 💕

garak and bashirs parenting styles are reversed for grandparenting. julian's a total sap for his grandkids, taking them on trips and buying them elaborate educational toys. garak is the reserved victorian grandfather smoking a pipe in the study talking about The Old Days and ordering them around (especially in the garden, his knees aren't what they used to be.)

Bashir is still annoyed at the passage of time seeing fit to give his children (who, in his mind, are still kids) children of their own. Rude!

My professor took off a point from one of my scripts because I labelled a character as Nonbinary, and he claims I should've left the gender description blank because "it's not necessary for this character", as if "nonbinary" is a placeholder for "I don't care what gender" I am actually going to tear him to shreds

I present: a fun parallel!

One of the first real defining Chenford moments is Lucy convincing Tim to not compromise his morals by tampering with the coke for Isabel in 1x07.

The moments that made him choose to end his relationship with Lucy are all about him compromising those morals by tampering with things (reports, evidence, the truth by lying like crazy…). Add in both scenes taking place by their parked cars where Lucy is waiting to see what choice he’ll make, knowing he’s in an impossible situation.

S6!Lucy, girlfriend!Lucy seems to have no issue letting go of (what Tim considers) poor choices/his compromised integrity. She’s eager to help him rebuild after he lies to IA. But I think he knows that S1!Lucy, the rookie who was idealistic and pushed him to be better at the risk of him cutting her from the program for interfering, would have told him to do the right and moral thing, regardless of the cost. (Which he seems to believe would be telling the truth and losing his job. Whether S1!Lucy would agree with that is up for debate.) Tim can’t be with S6!Lucy now, can’t enjoy being her boyfriend, can’t talk of building a life with her, because he believes S1!Lucy would be disappointed in his choices. And Lucy deserves a boyfriend who makes all those iterations of her proud and Tim believes he can’t be that.

#admittedly I think all versions of Lucy would understand Tim’s predicament #but we idolize people we love sometimes #and Tim is clearly in a state where he feels Lucy is just exceptional at everything he’s not #(he basically says so! she’d never be in that situation!)#Lucy has acted as the person bringing him back to his very strict moral code before #so clearly she must not be tainted by his sinful and immoral choices #(which is what we call a thought distortion dear Tim)#really this is all just about justice and mercy and him feeling Lucy is justice and deserves a perfectly just person #while Lucy is tripping over herself trying to offer him mercy #someone get this writer’s room an edible arrangements or a fruit basket or something #the rookie #chenford #Tim Bradford #lucy Chen #the rookie spoilers #silence emily #dear Lena thanks for letting me run my ideas by you before vomiting them on everyone else

Today's NSR Trivia: Rare(?) DJSS + DK West Art

Likely due to being the first proper boss in the game, DJ Subatomic Supernova has a lot of unused/cut content, including a theme for a nonexistent "approach" level (which can be heard in the "NSR Approach Megamix"), cut voice lines, and no debriefing profile.

While the official twitter has shared what this hypothetical debriefing would have entailed, I don't think the unused art for his profile has ever been posted through a first party source or exists in the game's files.

However, it is viewable in a Steam trading card.

Similarly, DK West, who also lacks a proper debriefing, is a part of this set and thus also has unique art only shown in these trading cards.

Whether this art was drawn specifically for the trading cards or if the art existed prior is currently unknown. (Though I personally suspect the latter.)

YES! Lady Terror (real name: Genevieve Sinclair) is my sortof self-insert (though she’s gained a bit more of a life of her own now) OC for the Terror. She and Francis as the most disenfranchised from british empirical thought and good society are falling horrifically in love with each other over the course of the expedition in spite of their respective past romantic rejections and dejections and it being the literal Worst Time To Do That. And I tag them when I am… reminded (I’m certain some think I do this too often… but it’s my house). I’m painfully (and soul crushingly at times) trying to get the canon novel for them written (though I have an excerpt of the first chapter in my masterlist in my pinned, should that be of interest), which intends to have the most insane gothic jane austen vibes one could hope for, and I have like 20 au’s for them including a particular western au that is gaining increasing real estate in my brain recently. Loads of content in the “egg’s oc’s” tag if you wanna take a peek (I say mostly bc I’m exclusively on mobile atm bc my computer is in the shop and linking over isn’t very easy😭) and I have some mini fics for them in my masterlist as well!
